The research aims to describe the underlying cause of students' low Creative Thinking Ability (CTA), and examine the effectiveness of online learning assisted by module in improving CTA in terms of self-efficacy. The research applied a mixed-method. The subjects were 8-grade students. The qualitative research subjects were selected purposively, generating two students for each category of low, medium, and high self-efficacy. While quantitative research used cluster sampling to classify experimental and control classes. The independent variable of the study was self-efficacy, and the dependent variable was CTA. Data collection was conducted by observation, interviews, documents, questionnaire, and test. Data was analyzed using descriptive analysis, statistical regression tests, and t-test. The results showed that the underlying cause of low CTA was in students' low and medium self-efficacy. Students with low and moderate self-efficacy highly depended on teacher help. For students with high self-efficacy, the CTA worked well. The results also revealed that the average CTA in the experimental class reached the minimum criteria of mastery learning; the average CTA of the experimental class was better than the CTA of the control class; and the effect of positive self-efficacy on CTA was 38.50% in the experimental category, showing that this learning was effective.

This study aims to reveal students' mathematical creative thinking skills which include indicators of fluency, flexibility, and originality by describing students' answers in solving cube and block problems. This research was conducted on the superior grade VIII students of MTsN 1 Makassar, totaling 39 students. The research subjects were taken as many as 6 people using the criteria for high, medium, and low group levels, every 2 students at each level. The instrument used is a creative thinking ability test, which consists of 4 items of description with qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the students' mathematical creative thinking skills including the three indicators were very good based on the percentage value of each indicator being above 50%. In the fluency indicator, the percentage value is 100% for item number 1 and 95.83% for question number 2, the percentage value of the flexibility indicator for item number 2 and 4 is 95.83% and 91.67%, respectively, and the percentage value of the novelty indicator is questions number 2 and 4 are 75% and 70.83%, respectively. From the three indicators above, the percentage value of students' creative thinking ability is low when compared to the other two indicators, this shows that students are less able to produce unusual answers/ideas and the suitability of the answers given is very irrelevant to the problem.

This study aims to determine the ability of creative thinking high school students in physics learning, know the form of assessment of creative thinking abilities. The study was conducted at SMAN 6 Yogyakrata. This type of research is a survey with a cross-sectional method that is a survey conducted once and at a time. The subjects were the principals, teachers of physics from SMAN 6 Yogyakrata and 30 grade XI students. observations, interviews, and questionnaires were used as data collection techniques. The data analysis method used was the quantitative-qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the creative thinking ability of class XI MIA 1 students at SMAN 6 Yogyakarta can be said to be in the average and quite good category, although there are some students whose level of creative thinking ability is low. In addition, the form of assessment used by physics teachers has not been effective and accurate enough in assessing students 'creative thinking abilities. So it is recommended to use The Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT) in physics learning because it has been proven to be accurate in assessing students' creative thinking abilities.

Mathematical creative thinking ability and self-efficacy are a combination of abilities students need to have when studying mathematics. Mathematical learning is expected to improve both abilities. However, teachers still use conventional learning such as direct teaching, which results in a low increase in students' mathematical creative thinking abilities and self-efficacy. So we need alternative student-centred learning and teachers as facilitators who provide scaffolding. The study was conducted to obtain a description of the discovery learning process with scaffolding which aims to improve the ability to think creatively and self-efficacy. Two quasi-experimental designs with three class groups were used: The Matching-only Pretest-posttest Control Group Design was used to measure mathematical creative thinking skills, and The Matching-only Posttest-only Control Group Design was used to measure the self-efficacy scale. Based on the results of one-way ANOVA, the mathematical creative thinking ability of students discovery learning with scaffolding is better than discovery learning and conventional learning. Likewise, this happens to 'self-efficacy, based on the one-way ANOVA that students' self-efficacy of discovery learning with scaffolding is better than discovery learning and conventional learning. The learning process of discovery learning with scaffolding has a positive impact on the improvement of mathematical creative thinking abilities and self-efficacy

This study aims to improve the ability of creative thinking through Project Based Learning on pollution and waste recycling materials. This research is a classroom action research conducted for 2 cycles. Each research cycle consists of 4 stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were the students of grade X SMA N 2 Boyolali with 37 students. Research data obtained through class observation, interviews, documentation, and tests of creative thinking ability that consists of aspects of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Validation of data is done by triangulation technique. Data analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis technique. The results showed that each aspect of creative thinking ability in pre-cycle that is fluency 25,4% included in category less, flexibility 24,8% included in category less, originality 15,9% included in category less, and elaboration 18,6 % Included in the category less. The achievement percentage of each aspect of the ability of creative thinking in the first cycle that is fluency 34.5% included in the category enough, flexibility 41.8% included in the category enough, originality 37% included in the category enough, and elaboration 40.5% included in the category enough. The achievement percentage of each aspect of creative thinking ability in cycle II that is fluency 78,6% included in creative category, flexibility 52,1% included in enough category, 48,9% originality included in enough category, and elaboration 58,6% including In sufficient category. The achievement of students' creative thinking ability from pre-cycle to cycle II has increased according to the research target of ≥20% through the implementation of Project Based Learning model

This study aims to determine the application of open ended strategies can improve students' creative thinking abilities. The research method used in this study is the classroom action research (CAR) method using the Kurt Lewin model consisting of four components namely, planning, action, observation and reflection. The research subjects were 45 students of MI Al-Khoiriyah Sawangan class of students. Data collection techniques used were observation sheets, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was performed in a qualitative description. Based on the results of the first cycle study 63% of students stated to have the ability to think creatively, in the second cycle 88% of students have the ability to think creatively. This achievement shows that the use of open ended strategies can improve students' creative thinking skills in thematic learning. Keywords: Creative Thinking Ability, Open Ended, Thematic

<p>Critical thinking in education has been widely practiced following the awareness that it helps a lot the students specifically in science subjects. In accordance with critical thinking ability in science, students who show ability on critical thinking will successfully cope with problems they encounter. Such ability hopefully works in their learning achievement. The objective of this research is to investigate the influence of creative and critical thinking on the achievement of the students of the Department of Primary Education IKIP PGRI Madiun in the class of Science Concepts II. The current study makes use of the descriptive correlational. As many as 191students enrolled the class of science concepts II in the academic year 2012/2013, out of 366 populations, serve as the sample through the proportional random sampling technique. Tests were administered to collect the data analyzed by applying descriptive analysis of double regression to assess the hypothesis in which SPSS PASW Statistics 18 was applied. Results show that there is significant correlation on the variables of creative and critical thinking on their achievement.
