Pendidikan dapat mengembangkan karakter seseorang dan memupuk individu menjadi pribadi yang beretika dan bermoral. Pengembangan karakter tidak hanya dilakukan melalui proses belajar-mengajar di kelas yang memiliki konsep, tetapi dapat juga melalui kegiatan belajar di luar jam sekolah yaitu ekstrakurikuler. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana minat belajar siswa pada ekstrakurikuler tari di SMPN 1 Banguntapan, Kotagede, Yogyakarta dan diharapkan penelitian ini mencapai tujuannya sebagai upaya mendapatkan problem solving untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa di dalam pembelajaran seni tari di kelas. Program ekstrakurikuler yang dimiliki di SMPN ini adalah ekstrakurikuler tari yang berfokus pada siswa kelas VII dan kelas VIII. Ekstrakurikuler seni tari penting dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik serta memberikan pengalaman bagi siswa dan membantu siswa menjadi pribadi yang mencintai budaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data yang dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi nonpartisipan melalui melihat proses yang dilaksanakan siswa ketika mengikuti ekstrakurikuler serta dengan wawancara. Berdasarkan penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan ekstrakurikuler tari di SMPN 1 Banguntapan, Kotagede, Yogyakarta menjadi problem solving yang dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa di kelas. Ekstrakurikuler tari dapat membantu siswa dalam meningkatkan keberhasilan proses belajar siswa sehingga prestasi mata pelajaran seni budaya menjadi lebih baik karena melalui ekstrakurikuler tari siswa berkesempatan untuk lebih mengeksplorasi diri dalam menguasai pembelajaran seni budaya tanpa batasan-batasan tertentu yang dihadapi di ruang kelas. Education can develop a person's character and nurture an individual into an ethical and moral person. Character development is not only done by the concept through the process of teaching and learning in the classroom, but also through learning activities; extracurricular outside the school hours. This study aims to describe how the students' interest in the extracurricular dance in SMPN 1 Banguntapan, Kotagede, Yogyakarta and this research is expected to achieve the goal as an effort to solve the problem of improving the student achievement in learning dance art in the classroom. The extracurricular program held in this junior high school is an extracurricular dance that focuses on students of class VII and class VIII. Extracurricular dance is important in shaped the character of learners as well as provide experience for students and help the students love the culture itself. This research used qualitative approach. The data collected by nonparticipant observation technique through seeing the process of students activities when following extracurricular as well as by interview. Based on the research, it can be concluded that the extracurricular dance at SMPN 1 Banguntapan, Kotagede, Yogyakarta becomes problem solving which can increase student's learning interest in class. Extracurricular dance can help students in improving the success of student learning process furthermore that the achievement of art and culture subjects become better because through extracurricular dance ,students have the further opportunity to explore themselves in mastering the eyes of art and culture learning without certain limitations encountered in the classroom.

Modules are forms of teaching materials that are made in detail with standard language and understood by students, according to age and student learning abilities, so that the level of independent learning can be increased and followed by teacher guidance Responding to the lack of teaching materials, currently it is necessary to use learning models to improve students' learning abilities and can add insight or knowledge that is not boring for students. The right teaching materials in overcoming students' boredom include learning resources in the form of teaching materials. Problem Solving is a teaching and learning activity that scientifically students can think critically, and find solutions in solving a problem. The main purpose of this learning research is to investigate and solve a problem as well as master the learning objectives and be independent in teaching and learning activities in solving problems in learning activities. The type of research used in this research is development research with a Problem Solving approach. This research was conducted for two months starting from February 22, 2021 to April 22, 2021. Based on the results of the research, the results of the presentation of the module developed got a score of 93.47% from material experts and 83.92% from media experts. Based on the results of presentations from media experts and material experts, the developed module is feasible to use.

 Kegiatan PPM ini bertujuan untuk mengupayakan agar para guru IPA dapat memaksimalkan pemanfaatan KIT IPA dalam pembelajaran IPA. Selain itu, kegiatan PPM ini juga dapat memberikan bekal bagi para guru IPA tentang langkah-langkah konkret pemanfaatan KIT IPA dalam pembelajaran IPA. Pemecahan masalah tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan pelatihan yang meliputi beberapa langkah kegiatan. Langkah pertama melakukan identifikasi jenis-jenis peralatan KIT IPA yang dimiliki di SMP. Langkah kedua menganalisis ketersediaan peralatan KIT IPA SMP yang sesuai dengan Kurikulum 2013 yang digunakan. Langkah ketiga melakukan pelatihan penggunaan peralatan KIT IPA SMP. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari kegiatan PPM tersebut adalah para guru IPA SMP dapat memaksimalkan pemanfaatn KIT IPA guna mengimplementasikan kurikulum 2013 dalam pembelajaran IPA SMP. In addition, this PPM activity can also provide stock for science teachers about concrete steps of IPA KIT utilization in science learning. Such problem solving can be done with training that includes several steps of activities. The first step to identify the types of KIT equipment IPA owned in SMP. The second step analyzes the availability of KIT IPA SMP equipment in accordance with the Curriculum 2013 used. The third step is to train the use of KIT IPA SMP equipment. The conclusions that can be drawn from these PPM activities are the teachers of IPA SMP can maximize the utilization of IPA KIT to implement the 2013 curriculum in science lesson of SMP. This reseach is aimed at knowing the students ability in both solving the math problem and connection those who are taught by Problem Based Learning at class VIII of the Junior High school 28 Padang 2017/2018. This research is categorized as quasy Experimental Research, by using Randomized Control Group Only Design. After implementing the Problem Based Leaning, the student was directly given the test as the result showed that the score  of the student who belong to the experimental class in  problem solving recorded as 74,00 while those who were in the control class only refers to 72,30. The test average score on the experimental class in term of math connection ability was 68,73; while in the control class recorded as 62,43. The T- Test showed that T-Table equals to 1,64 with the degree of reliability 95% . This fact reveals that the students’ ability in solving the problem after being taught through Problem Based Learning is higher than in control class with T-count equals to 3,71; while their connection math ability through Problem Based Learning Model in the Experimental Class is higher than control with T-count 2.17.Keywords: Problem Based Learning, problem solving, mathematics connection

Abstractlearning process  good teaching  can create a situation that allows children to learn, so that is the starting point of the success of teaching. The low quality of education depends on the management of the teaching and learning process which can be interpreted as being less effective in the teaching and learning process, the causes: (1) Low learning activities, (2) Inadequate facilities and infrastructure. The case in Solok City Middle School, the low level of student learning activities allegedly influenced the low student learning outcomes. Based on observations on class VIII A which included the superior class had not yet achieved the desired completeness, the class with the least completeness was class VIII B which was 33.33% with KKM 65 criteria. Seeing this reality, teachers were required to motivate students and foster enthusiasm student learning. Therefore, to foster students' enthusiasm for learning, the author tries to apply student learning activities through discussion methods in small groups.Keywords: Learning, discussion AbstrakProses belajar mengajar yang baik dapat menciptakan situasi yang mmemungkinkan anak belajar, sehingga merupakan titik awal keberhasilan pengajaran. Rendahnya mutu pendidikan tergantung pada pengelolaan proses belajar mengajar yang dapat diartikan kurang efektifnya proses belajar mengajar, penyebabnya: (1) Rendahnya aktifitas belajar,  (2) Sarana dan prasarana yang belum memadai. Kasus pada SMP Negeri % Kota Solok rendahnya aktifitas belajar siswa diduga berpengaruh terhadap rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan pengamatanpada  kelas VIII A yang termasuk kelas unggul belum mencapai ketuntasan yang di inginkan, sedangkan kelas yang paling sedikit ketuntasannya adalah kelas VIII B yaitu sebanyak 33,33 % dengan kriterian KKM 65. Melihat kenyataan tersebut, guru dituntut untuk dapat memotivasi siswa dan menumbuhkan semangat belajar siswa. Karena itu, untuk menumbuhkan semangat belajar siswa, penulis mencoba untuk menerapkan aktivitas belajar siswa melalui metode diskusi dalam kelompok kecil. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran, diskusi

Recount text is one of the texts in writing which must be taught and stated in Junior High School curriculum. Some students felt that reading text is boring because the students tend to be very lazy to read the text, so that they are not interested in English lessons. The researchers used group investigation technique as one of alternatives in teaching and learning to develop the material and make students more active and interested in class. The objective of this research is to find out whether teaching using group investigation technique is able to develop the students’ reading in recount text at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 17 Kota Serang. The methodology of this research was a quantitative research method by using true experimental design. The study was carried out into two classes, Class VIII E as experimental class, and Class VIII C as control class. The results of the study showed that group investigation was able to develop students’ reading comprehension in recount text. Mean of posttest score of the experimental class (67.31) was higher than the control class (64.18). Based on the statistical analysis using t-test analysis, it showed the value of tcount ≥ ttable = 49.12 ≥ 1.99. It means that (Ha) was accepted and the (H0) was rejected. It can be concluded that group investigation is able to develop students’ reading comprehension in recount text at eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 17 Kota Serang.

The implementation of the 2013 Curriculum is to create a creative and innovative person. One of the right approaches is Problem Solving. Circulatory system material is the material that suits the problem solving approach. Less varied teaching materials will make the learning process becomes monotonous so that learners are not interested to learn. Therefore, a research aimed to produce problem-based solving module with mind map of circulatory system material for students of class VIII SMP.This research is a development research using development procedure from Plomp with three stages: initial investigation stage, development stage or prototype, and assessment phase. The object of this research is problem solving module minded mind map, and the subject of research is teachers and learners SMPN 15 Padang.Validity results obtained an average of 86.46% with valid criteria. The results of small group practice test (small group) obtained an average of 100% very practical category. Modular practicality test obtained an average result of 83.33% with practical category, while learners of 79.32% with practical category. It can be concluded that problem solving module with mind map about circulation system material for students of class VIII SMP has been valid and practical.

The purpose of this research was to reveal how the construction process of symbolic representation and verbal representation made by students in problem solving. The construction process in this study referred to the problem-solving stage by Polya covering; 1) understanding the problem, 2) devising a plan, 3) carrying outthe plan, and 4) looking back. This research was qualitative research by getting involved 4 students of Junior High School class VIII. This study obtained results that the construction process of symbolic representation made by students since in the process of understanding the problem. In understanding the problem, students were able to identify the problem well. Then students could make the symbol used as a variable that the value was not known. By using the symbol students could perform a series of calculation to obtain the value of the symbol. Symbols created by students were very helpful and facilitated students in solving problems. While in the construction process, verbal representation was done by students since the process of understanding the problem. The form of verbal representation was manifested by writing down all information known from a slightly changed problem because they used a language that they understood more. Based on the known information, students could plan and performed a series of calculations using written sentences so that the problems could be solved properly.

The aims of this research are to produce SETS worksheet that can be applied in teaching learning to grow and process skills and scientific attitude for students in Junior High Shcool. The study was a Research and Development (R D ) with students in class VIII SMP N 1 Sewon Bantul as a subject of study. The reseach start form July to November 2015. The study began with a literatature study and field study to obtain information about the problem faced at school, and followed by planning, drafting and validating product by experts. The result shows that SETS worksheet feasible to use in teaching and learning based on the validation result from lecturer, teacher and student response. The SETS Worksheet potential for growing the student's process skills and the scientific attitudeAbstract english version, written using Time New Roman-11, italic. Abstract contain research aim/purpose, method, and reseach results; written in 1 paragraph, single space among rows, using past tense sentences.

Abstract The aim of this study was to ascertain high school students' proportional reasoning in the sense of the COVID-19 pandemic. How do students' thoughts flow when confronted with problems requiring proportional reasoning? This research is a mixed study by collecting data through problem-solving questions to 253 junior high school students in Muaro Jambi, Jambi Province, Indonesia. The problem-solving activities are based on real-world scenarios and require reasoning that is proportional and pertinent to the COVID-19 pandemic context. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the test is administered through the Whatsapp framework. Students' responses are examined in detail to ascertain their proportional reasoning skills. The results indicate that almost all students correctly answered the first question. However, only a small percentage of students were able to answer to and make the correct argument for the second question. The findings indicated that students demonstrated a reasonable level of proportional reasoning when confronted with the COVID-19 pandemic situation. According to the findings of this report, it is important for teachers of mathematics to establish learning activities and problem-solving tasks that help students improve their proportional reasoning skills. Keywords: COVID-19; Problem Solving; Proportional Reasoning; Real-World Situations AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggali penalaran proporsional siswa SMA  dengan konteks pandemi COVID-19. Bagaimana alur pemikiran siswa ketika dihadapkan pada masalah yang membutuhkan penalaran proporsional? Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian campuran dengan pengumpulan data melalui pertanyaan pemecahan masalah kepada 253 siswa SMP di Muaro Jambi, Provinsi Jambi, Indonesia. Kegiatan pemecahan masalah didasarkan pada skenario dunia nyata dan membutuhkan penalaran yang proporsional dan relevan dengan konteks pandemi COVID-19. Karena pandemi COVID-19 yang sedang berlangsung, tes dikirim melalui aplikasi Whatsapp. Tanggapan siswa diperiksa secara rinci untuk memastikan kemampuan penalaran proporsional mereka. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa hampir semua siswa menjawab pertanyaan pertama dengan benar. Namun, hanya sebagian kecil siswa yang mampu menjawab dan membuat argumen yang benar untuk pertanyaan kedua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki alur penalaran proporsional yang cukup baik dengan menggunakan konteks kondisi pandemi COVID-19. Menurut temuan  ini, penting bagi guru matematika untuk menetapkan kegiatan pembelajaran dan tugas pemecahan masalah yang membantu siswa meningkatkan keterampilan penalaran proporsional mereka. Kata kunci: COVID-19; Pemecahan Masalah; Penalaran Proporsional; Situasi Dunia
