Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan media jejaring sosial saat ini menyebabkan pembentukan personal brand melalui media sosial semakin penting. Masyarakat Indonesia dikenal sebagai pengguna aktif media sosial. Menjadi seorang perupa harus memiliki keunikan tersendiri untuk dapat berbeda dengan perupa lainnya. Dalam membangunnya, dibutuhkan personal branding yang baik untuk dapat maju dan berkembang di dalam dunia seni rupa. Piko dengan akun @iabadioupiko telah melakukannya lewat media Instagram. Personal branding yang dilakukan Piko menarik dengan mengunggah hasil karyanya untuk menarik perhatian galeri dan menggunakan Instagram sebagai alat penyampaian pesan komunikasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara dan melakukan observasi terhadap dokumentasi yang dimiliki dan melakukan tinjauan literatur. Data yang didapat kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis yaitu mengorganisasikan data, mereduksi data, peringkasan, dan penyajian data. Hasil akhir dari analisis data dapat mengetahui tentang bagaimana strategi personal branding perupa melalui media sosial Instagram dengan indikator yang terdiri dari kesebelas karakteristik authentic personal branding oleh Rampersad. Hasil penelitian menyebutkan bahwa strategi personal branding Piko ialah memiliki nilai, karakter, kode perilaku, berfokus pada satu bidang, konsisten, memiliki relevansi, memiliki visibilitas, mendapatkan pengakuan, menerapkan hal positif, serta menjadi diri sendiri dengan tetap menjaga eksistensinya dan selalu memelihara hubungan yang terjalin baik dalam akun Instagram @iabadioupiko maupun dalam kesehariannya. The Artist's Personal Branding Strategy Through Social Media ABSTRACT The development of information technology and social networking media has made personal brands' formation through social media increasingly important. Indonesian people are known as active users of social media. Being an artist must be unique to be different from other artists. In building it, good personal branding is needed to advance and develop in the world of fine arts. Piko, with the @iabadioupiko account, has done this via Instagram. Piko's personal branding is impressive by uploading his work to attract the attention of galleries and using Instagram to convey his communication messages. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques, namely interviews and observing documentation, and conducting literature reviews. The data obtained were then analyzed using analytical techniques, namely organizing data, reducing data, summarizing, and presenting data. The final result of the data analysis can find out about the personal branding strategy of the artists through social media Instagram with indicators consisting of eleven characteristics of authentic personal branding by Rampersad. The results show that Piko's personal branding strategy is to have values, character, code of behavior, focus on one area, be consistent, have relevance, have visibility, gain recognition, apply positive things, and be yourself while maintaining its existence and always maintaining good relationships. They were established both in the Instagram account @iabadioupiko and in his daily life.

Advances in information technology and social media are now increasing. This makes it easier for anyone to form a personal brand through social media. Having an attractive identity is a must for a musician, whether it's self-identity or work identity. The purpose of this study is to find out and understand the personal branding strategy of musicians through social media. This study uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques, namely interviews and observing the documentation they have and conducting a literature review. The data obtained were then analyzed using analytical techniques, namely sorting out data, reducing data, summarizing, and presenting data. The findings of this study are that the personal branding strategy of musicians through social media, especially Instagram, uses indicators consisting of 7 classifications borrowed from Mateusz Grzesiak's concept. The results of the study stated that the personal branding strategy carried out by several samples of musicians had values, characters, goals, methods, dialectics, visualizations, media, awareness levels, challenges, cultural models, and strategies each through Instagram media and in their daily lives.

This research generally aims to develop personal branding research with social media. The previous research took Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter media, but this research focuses on personal branding on YouTube. This research method is a qualitative and descriptive method by observing Raditya Dika YouTube Channel and interviews with several Subribers Raditya Dika. The study describes the situations or events and does not seek links, hypotheses, or make predictions. In this research, the indicators of personal branding are authenticity,  integrity, consistency, specialization, authority, distinctiveness, relevance, visibility, persistence, goodwill, and performance. The subject of this research is Raditya Dika's YouTube channel, and the object of this research is a personal brand Raditya Dika through a personal YouTube channel. The results show that Raditya Dika can form, even enhance a positive image by establishing personal branding through YouTube.

Instagram social media has now become an alternative media in the field of marketing and promotion. Personally, you can do business through Instagram. Currently, Selebgram is becoming a trend among Instagram users in Indonesia. Being a celebgram must have its own uniqueness to be different from other competitor celebgrams. In building it, good personal branding is needed to be able to survive in the world of celebrity on Instagram. Ohim with the account @ibrhmrsyd without any background as a celebrity also received the celebgram title. Ohim's personal branding has attracted the attention of well-known products by only using Instagram as a means of delivering communication messages. He can be glimpsed and attract the attention of well-known brands in Indonesia and make him an endorser in the program. He became one of the celebgram in the city of Bandung that represents the famous product. This study discusses how the personal branding strategy of non-celebrity celebrities is. The method used is descriptive qualitative with indicators consisting of eleven characteristics of authentic personal branding by Rampersad. The results of the study state that Ohim's personal branding strategy is to have values, character, code of conduct and morals, focus on one area, be consistent, have relevance, have visibility, gain recognition, apply positive things, and be yourself while maintaining its existence and always maintaining relationships that exist both in the @ibrhmrsyd Instagram account and in their daily lives.

Social media is a new platform for CEOs to build their image and create a strong personal brand to represent themselves and their company. This research examines an outstanding Malaysian fashion icon and social media–savvy businesswoman with over a million followers on Instagram, Vivy Yusof, the youngest Malaysian e-commerce mogul and an example of a successful CEO who has used personal branding to build an empire in the fashion industry. The objectives of this research are to identify the type of messages Vivy Yusof communicates to her audience through her personal Instagram posts and to identify the ways Vivy Yusof’s audience engages with her posts on Instagram. Her Instagram post content is classified using the Honeycomb framework that comprises seven functional building blocks, namely, presence, relationships, reputation, groups, identity, conversations, and sharing. In this study, the content of Vivy Yusof’s Instagram posts is categorized by how she focuses on the various functional building blocks in her posts and the implications these blocks have on how her audience interacts with the posts. Her social media presence confirms the importance of CEO personal branding because of her role and influence on the masses evidenced by the willingness of her followers to interact (through likes and comments) and engage with her posts on any subject matter, relating either to her business or personal life. The study contributes to a growing body of literature on personal branding strategies by shedding light on the association between content strategies and engagement with social media content.

The nature of humans in their lives is to carry out communication activities. An individual can be said to communicate with other people if both have an understanding of the meaning of the message conveyed in their interactions. The progress of information communication technology provides an opportunity for individuals to interact more easily through the internet. In 2017, the number of internet users in Indonesia was recorded at 143.26 million, or 54.68 percent of Indonesia's total population. This number increased compared to the previous year, namely in 2016 which was recorded at 132.7 million. Of the numbers recorded, 130 million of them are active on social media in term of New Media Communication, or noted as information technology-based communication, makes social media as primary chosen for individuals interacting socially in cyberspace. This study aims to analyze how the personal branding forming in social media instagram refer to eight laws of personal branding such as: specialization, leadership, personality, distinctiveness, visibility, unity, persistence and goodwill. The best personal branding must be meets on these eight laws. The type of research conduct as qualitative descriptive, which the method is case study. The data used are primary data from interviews with selected informants and secondary data: documents in the form of photos and texts of digital natives on their Instagram. The data were analyzed by data reduction, data display by arranging it according to the pattern and then verification that is drawing the conclusion to answer the research question. Refer to the results of the study, the conclusion is personal branding of digital natives on Social Media Instagram need to be manage to meet all eight laws of personal branding.Keywords: Communication, Digital Natives, New Media, Social Media

It is a fact that language is dynamic, and nothing can not stop it from changing. This dynamism has implications for the use of various languages among Indonesians. The youth mostly uses it because they are active and massive users of technology and social media. This research aims to describe the form and character of the linguistic variation of slang which is popularly used by the millennial generation. In this study, data is taken from social media, and direct informants then analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that four types of linguistic variation of slang which is popularly used by the millennial generation such phonology (32,29%), morphology (22,92%), syntax (4,17%), and semantics aspect (40, 63%). Based on the results, the millennial generation’s most dominant type of semantics aspect with 39 data (40, 63%). It means that millennials preferred using more slang utterances modified in semantic elements. Millennials did not completely change or create many new meanings. They retained the meanings of existing references only in the forms of new terms.

Internet in Indonesia currently is growing rapidly and become the primary needs for its users, the development of social media has also become one of the important factors in the amount of internet users in this country.The aim of this research is to know the application and explaination of online promotion through observation and empiric study in Inspired27. The approach used in this research is Theory of Internet base promotion mix. Qualitative descriptive method is used as the means of analysis in order to get systematical picture of the fact which is actual, accurate regarding the object of analysis. The result shows that Inspired27 has applied online promotion to help the sales. Inspired27 use various online promotions such as website and social media. But they have no research team and division that specifically handle online promotion thus the implication is less maximum.

Awareness in using the technology for building a self brand through personal branding can appear in anyone, whether from the public figures, nor from the society in general. The youngest son of Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Kae Sang Pangareb (Kae Sang) is known as an person who has a high level of awareness on her social media.  This study examines trends in shaping the content of microblogging as a personal branding of Kae Sang. Studies conducted on the accounts twitter Kae Sang (@kaesangp) by looking at twitter account contents and personal branding process through microblogging. According to personal brand buildings theory by Peter Montoya, this research take 8 personal brand building category, specialization, leadership, personality, distinctiveness, visibility, unity, persistence, and good will. Indonesian people in the conversation using English in many ways, such as face to face and social media. The purpose of this research is to identify students' online interactive communication in their blog's comment. It focuses among students as Indonesian EFL students in Morphology class in Universitas Lancang Kuning (Unilak). This study also eager to know what type of language function and phase of knowledge construction on students blogging activities on selected IT platform classroom, i.e. Morphology course. The method employ in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. This study did take the comments' blog of all students in Morphology class. Then This study analyzed those comments. The result of this research, students, showing some dominant type in Knowledge Construction, i.e., Sharing and Comparing of opinion in Blog The present study also reveals the use of Expressing and Supporting Opinions as the dominant types in Language Function.

This study aims to determine the branding strategy at MTsN Purbalingga Regency and to determine the level of effectiveness of branding management strategies at MTsN Purbalingga Regency in 2018 to 2020. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. This method is used to describe and analyze branding management strategies at MTsN in Purbalingga Regency and describe user responses to branding management strategies at MTsN Purbalingga Regency. The places chosen to conduct the research were MTsN 01 Purbalingga, MTsN 02 Purbalingga, and MTsN 03 Purbalingga. Informants from this research are principals, teachers, staff, and students. Then to select and determine the informants in this study, the researchers used a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this research are using content/document analysis techniques, in-depth interviews, and events/observations. The method used to check the validity of the data is the triangulation method. The data analysis technique used in this research is interactive model analysis. The stages in analyzing the data in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that: 1). the branding strategies that have been carried out by MTsN in Purbalingga Regency between one MTsN and other MTsN are the same and some are different, this of course depends on the branding management carried out by each school. MTsN 1 Purbalingga, namely by improving the quality both in terms of achievement and non-academic namely character building, MTs Negeri 2 Purbalingga emphasizes efforts to attract interest in terms of performance and community service, while MTs Negeri 3 Purbalingga in an effort to attract interest by achieving good academic achievements and non-academic and performance services for both teachers and employees; 2). The effectiveness of the branding strategy carried out at MTs Negeri Purbalingga Regency in 2018 to 2020 is quite effective in increasing public trust.
