This research was conducted based on the findings of archaeological remains in Subak Bubunan Sukawati rice field by the community in 2014 when cutting down the banyan tree. After doing data collection and description, it is followed by a more in-depth discussion, which aims to know the functions and meanings for the community. The data collection in this research is done using observation method, interview, and literature study through qualitative approach which then analyzed using functional theory and semiotics theory. The results show the function of the past and present archaeological remains in Subak Bubunan Sukawati based on the mythology, origin, and community activities are not completely the same, and some have changed the function. Meaning of Archaeological Remains in Subak Bubunan Sukawati is known based on the signs they have such as decoration (attributes), mythology, and community activities in utilizing the archaeological remains. Some of the meanings that are successfully examined are the meaning of fertility, the meaning of power, and the meaning of religion. Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan atas temuan tinggalan arkeologi di kawasan sawah Subak Bubunan Sukawati oleh masyarakat pada tahun 2014 ketika menebang pohon beringin. Tinggalan arkeologi yang telah dilakukan pendataan maupun pendeskripsian ini dilanjutkan dengan pembahasan lebih mendalam, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui fungsi dan maknaannya bagi masyarakat. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, serta studi kepustakaan melalui pendekatan kualitatif yang selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan teori fungsional dan teori semiotika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan fungsi masa lampau dan sekarang tinggalan arkeologi di Subak Bubunan Sukawati berdasarkan atas mitologi, asal usul, dan aktivitas masyarakat tidak seutuhnya sama, bahkan ada yang mengalami perubahan fungsi. Makna Tinggalan arkeologi di Subak Bubunan Sukawati diketahui berdasarkan tanda-tanda yang dimilikinya seperti hiasan (atribut), mitologi, dan aktivitas masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan tinggalan arkeologi tersebut. Beberapa makna yang berhasil ditelisik adalah makna kesuburan, makna kekuasaan, dan makna religi.

Tamblingan is an area in Bali which is located at an altitude of 1,350 meters above sea level. Tamblingan also known as an archaeological site because it holds many archaeological remains, especially during the ancient Balines era.The problem that would revealed and solved are how the landscape at Tamblingan is ideal as a settlement, supported by archaeological evidence to strengthen it. The purpose of this study is to identify the landscape in the Tamblingan area so that this area was chosen as a settlement in the past. Data collection is done by literature study, both search for internet sources and e-journals that focusing discuss of Tamblingan Site. Tamblingan area is a fertile plateau, its morphology is in the form of a mountain range with Lake Tamblingan as an old caldera containing rainwater. the topography also varies and allows it to be used as a settlement. From the results of the study conducted it was proven that the Tamblingan area is a fertile land area, besides that also the forest and Lake Tamblingan provide various needs to support daily life. Tamblingan merupakan satu wilayah di Bali yang berada di ketinggian 1.350 meter di atas permukaan laut. Tamblingan juga dikenal sebagai situs arkeologi karena menyimpan banyak tinggalan arkeologi terutama dimasa Bali Kuno. Dalam penelitian ini permasalahan yang ingin diungkap dan dipecahkan adalah bagaimana bentanglahan atau lanskap kawasan Tamblingan sehingga daerah ini ideal untuk dijadikan sebagai lokasi hunian atau permukiman, ditunjang dengan bukti-bukti arkeologis untuk menguatkannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi lanskap di wilayah Tamblingan sehingga daerah ini dipilih sebagai kawasan hunian dimasa lalu. Metode Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi pustaka, baik itu penelusuran sumber internet maupun beberapa jurnal cetak dan online yang mengulas mengenai Situs Tamblingan. Kawasan Tamblingan adalah dataran tinggi yang subur, morfologinya berupa deretan pegunungan dengan Danau Tamblingan sebagai kaldera tua yang berisi air hujan. topografinya juga bervariasi dan memungkinkan untuk digunakan sebagai permukiman. Dari hasil studi yang dilakukan terbukti bahwa kawasan Tamblingan merupakan wilayah yang memiliki lahan yang subur, selain itu juga hutan dan Danau Tamblingan menyediakan berbagai keperluan untuk menunjang kehidupan sehari-hari.

Bukti-bukti mengenai gunung dianggap sakral dan suci telah didapatkan sejak Masa Prasejarah. Salah Satu gunung yang masih dipercaya sebagai tempat sakral adalah Gunung Lawu. Berdasarkan tinggalan arkeologis Gunung Lawu ini nampaknya mempunyai peranan cukup penting pada masa lalu, bahkan berlanjut hingga sekarang. Studi ini akan menelusuri jejak-jejak pemujaan terhadap parwatarajadewa yang bersemayam di Gunung Lawu. Untuk memecahkan permasahan tersebut digunakan metode pengumpulan data meliputi kajian pustaka, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Setelah itu, data dibedah mengunakan analisis kualitatif dibantu dengan teori Religi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Gunung Lawu mempunyai nama kuna (Hindu-Budhha) yaitu katong. Walaupun namanya berubah namun makna yang dikandung tetap memiliki persamaan. Komunitas yang beraktivitas di Gunung Lawu saat itu adalah kaum rsi dan pertapa yang tampaknya memuliakan seorang parwatarajadewa (dewa penguasa gunung). Hal ini berdasar atas banyaknya temuan tinggalan arkeologi di kawasan Gunung Lawu dan didukung pula dengan prasasti yang pernah ditemukan di Candi Sukuh. Nama dewa tersebut menurut Serat Centhini adalah Hyang Girinatha.Evidence of the mountain as considered sacred and sanctified have been obtained since the Prehistoric Period. One mountain that is still believed to be a sacred place is Mount Lawu. Based on archaeological remains, Mount Lawu seems to have played a significant role in the past, even persisting up till now. Mount Lawu is used as a place to live and religious activity from the past. This study traces the worship of Parwatarajadeway residing on Mount Lawu. In order to solve the problem, it used data collection methods including literature review, observation, and documentation. The analysis used qualitative assisted by Religious theory. The results of this study indicate that Mount Lawu has an ancient name that is katong. Although the name had changed but its meaning still have a resemblance. Community’ activities that move on Mount Lawu around the 15th to 16th century are the rsi and the ascetic who seem to glorify the Parwatarajadewa (the god of the mountain ruler). This is based on many findings of archaeological remains in the area of Mount Lawu and also supported with inscriptions ever found in Sukuh Temple. The name of the god according to Serat Centhini is Hyang Girinatha.

ABSTRAKPandemi Covid-19 membuat muslim di Indonesia tidak disarankan untuk beribadah di Masjid, hal ini berimbas pada sumber dana Masjid mengingat pendapatan terbesarnya adalah Infaq dari jamaah yang sedang melakukan sholat di masjid tersebut. Penggunaaan financial technology menjadi hal yang wajar bagi masyarakat untuk melaksanakan transaksi keuangannya, akan tetapi hal tersebut masih asing bagi masyarakat untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan infaq. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan suatu gagasan baru berupa inovasi model donasi masjid dengan penerapan financial technology. Penelitian ini menggunakkan pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif dengan mengangkat sebuah fenomena yang terjadi dalam lingkup organisasi masjid di masa pandemi. Lokasi penelitian yaitu di Masjid Darussalam yang terletak di Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, studi pustaka, dan dokumentasi. Adanya pandemi dan saran untuk tidak melaksanakan sholat di masjid membuat sisa kas masjid menurun drastis. Wacana membuat akun pada aplikasi Bebas Bayar dan mengajak warga sekitar masjid untuk menggunakan aplikasi fintech tersebut bertujuan agar masjid memiliki alternatif sumber pendapatan. Pertama, donasi bulanan masyarakat sekitar dapat terus berjalan dengan mentransfer dana tersebut ke akun Masjid. Kedua, apabila masyarakat menggunakan aplikasi ini untuk aktivitas pembayaran listrik, air, telepon dan lain-lain, maka masjid akan langsung mendapat keuntungan dan juga komisi sehingga masyarakat secara tidak langsung masyarakat melakukan infaq. Adanya sumber dana melalui aktivitas masyarakat disaat pandemi ini diharapkan menjadi sumber dana masjid sehingga masjid dapat menjalankan fungsinya.Kata kunci: Pandemi Covid-19, financial technology, donasi masjid, aplikasi Bebas Bayar ABSTRACTCovid-19 pandemic has made it not advisable for Muslims in Indonesia to worship at the mosque. This policy has an impact on mosque funding sources since that the highest income is from infaq by pilgrims who are praying at the mosque. The use of financial technology is a natural thing for people to carry out financial transactions, but it is still unfamiliar for the community to be used in infaq activities. This study aims to formulate a new idea in the form of an innovative model of mosque donations with the application of financial technology. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach by raising a phenomenon that occurs within the scope of mosque organizations during the pandemic. The research location is in the Darussalam Mosque located in Sidoarjo Regency. Data collection techniques are done by interview, observation, literature study, and documentation. The discourse creates an account on the Bebas Bayar application and invites residents around the mosque to use the fintech application so that the mosque has an alternative source of income. First, the monthly donations from the surrounding community can go on by transferring the funds to the mosque account. Secondly, if the community uses this application to pay for electricity, water, telephone and other activities, the mosque will immediately get a profit and commission so that the community indirectly conducts an infaq. The existence of sources of funds through community activities during the pandemic is expected to be a source of mosque funds so that the mosque can carry out its functions.Keywords : Covid-19 pandemic, financial technology, mosque donation, Bebas Bayar application.

The research aims to uncover the symbols in the novel The Alchemist and to gain knowledge about the moral teachings in the symbol. This research is descriptive qualitative approach. Data sources in this study are words, phrases or sentences in the novel Alchemist. Data collection method is a literature study method with note taking technique. Data were analyzed using description and content analysis methods. The results showed that the novel The Alchemist contained many symbols. These symbols include: (1) wise parents, who symbolize both negative and positive things. From his appearance, parents can symbolize something bad, but behind his old age he symbolizes a knowledge that is very much and wise; (2) stones that symbolize something hard, not easily broken, and can provide clues to something; and (3) deserts or deserts which can be interpreted as symbols of drought, aridity, unattractiveness, emptiness, despair, determination for ignorance, and also as symbols of devotion.

Gunung Kawi Temple is one of the most monumental archaeological remains in Bali originating from the 10th to 11th century. This study aims to determine the values of local wisdom of ancient Balinese society related to the construction and presence of Gunung Kawi Temple. Data were collected through literature study and observation. Analysis was conducted through qualitative approach using data integration and explanation based on theory. Explanation is presented in narrative text. The results of this study indicate that the construction using the concept of cliff temple is an adaptation in addressing the limitations of geography and material resources. This adaptation is a form of ancient Balinese society local wisdom. This local wisdom is also reflected on the environmental preservation value which is related to the function of Gunung Kawi Temple as a religious sacred building. Keywords: gunung kawi, cliff temple, local wisdom, adaptation, enviromental preservation. Kompleks Candi Gunung Kawi merupakan salah satu tinggalan arkeologi paling monumental di Bali yang berasal dari abad ke-10 sampai 11 Masehi. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilainilai kearifan lokal masyarakat Bali Kuno yang terkait dengan pembangunan dan keberadaan Kompleks Candi Gunung Kawi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi kepustakaan dan observasi. Analisis dilakukan melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan pengintegrasian data dan memaparkan simpulan-simpulan berdasarkan teori. Pembahasan kemudian disajikan dalam bentuk teks naratif. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembangunan dengan konsep candi tebing merupakan bentuk adaptasi dalam menyikapi keterbatasan geografi dan sumber bahan baku. Adaptasi tersebut merupakan salah satu wujud kearifan lokal masyarakat Bali Kuno. Kearifan lokal tercermin juga dari nilai pelestarian lingkungan yang terkait dengan fungsi Kompleks Candi Gunung Kawi sebagai bangunan suci keagamaan.

This study aim to explain phenomenon of Arab spring that occurred in Syria and describing the triggering factors of conflict Syria and the analysis of Alawie group in Syria. The type of this study uses a qualitative approach with the literature study method, because the data collection techniques used make books and documents related to the Arab spring in Syria as a reference frame, as well as some data from a valid website. Data analysis techniques through three components, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions in which data verification is also accompanied by triangulation of data sources. The results showed that the phenomenon of Arab spring that occurred in Syria converged on inter-ethnic conflict that occurred between the Sunni-Alawie, then triggered by the phenomenon of Arab spring that spread in the Middle East.

Civilization of a city can be seen from archaeological remains. Kendari city is known as a city whose society is religious. The purpose of this paper is to know the history of the entry of Islam in Kendari and archaeological remains of the evidence of the entry of Islam in Kendari. The method used is literature study, interview and survey. Islam in Kendari was brought by Islamic religious teachers, Muslim traders and ulama, this is known from the existence of tombs of religious figures o f Islam in the past Kendari.  ABSTRAKPeradaban suatu kota dapat dilihat dari tinggalan-tinggalan arkeologi. Kota Kendari dikenal sebagai kota yang masyarakatnya religius. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejarah masuknya Islam di Kendari dan tinggalan-tinggalan arkeologi yang menjadi bukti masuknya Islam di Kendari. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka, wawancara dan survei. Islam di Kendari dibawa oleh guru agama Islam, pedagang muslim dan ulama, hal ini diketahui dari keberadaan makam tokoh-tokoh agama Islam Kendari pada masa lalu.

This study aims to describe the representation of sex education in the film Dua Garis Biru by director Gina S. Noer. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The research method uses Roland Barthes's semiotic analysis with two-way significance and the meaning of denotation, connotation, and myth. The subjects of this study are Dara and Bima, the object of this study is a sign of sex education represented in scenes, dialogues, and characters in films. Methods of data collection by observation, literature study, interviews, and documentation. The film Dua Garis Biru tells the story of how Dara and Bima, two teenagers, must be responsible for the consequences that they did not think of before due to free sex. This film also illustrates the important role of parents in communicating information about sex to children. The results of this study indicate that there is a picture of sex education in the film Two Blue Lines. It was concluded that the side or form of sex education is displayed in scenes, dialogues, or characters that insert the importance of knowing sex education and knowing the consequences of every action related to sex. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan representasi pendidikan seks  dalam Film Dua Garis Biru karya sutradara Gina S. Noer. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Metode penelitian menggunakan Analisis Semiotika Roland Barthes dengan signifikan dua arah dan pemaknaan denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Dara dan Bima, objek penelitian ini adalah tanda pendidikan seks yang direpresentasikan dalam adegan, dialog, dan karakter dalam film. Metode pengumpulan data dengan observasi, studi pustaka, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Film Dua Garis Biru bercerita tentang bagaimana Dara dan Bima, dua remaja harus bertanggung jawab atas konsekuensi yang tidak mereka pikirkan sebelumnya karena melakukan seks pranikah. Film ini juga menggambarkan pentingnya peran orang tua dalam mengkomunikasikan informasi tentang seks kepada anak. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat gambaran tentang pendidikan seks dalam film. Sisi atau bentuk pendidikan seks ditampilkan dalam cuplikan adegan, dialog, atau karakter tokoh yang menyisipkan pentingnya mengenal pendidikan seks dan mengetahui konsekuensi dari setiap perbuatan yang berhubungan dengan seks.

Arca is one of the relics of the classical period that has various forms and is the development of human thought in the field of art and culture. Thought can be seen in Pura Subak Ulun Suwi Sidewaas Bangli which until now still functioned with the statue which amounted to 14 pieces. Some of the problems in this study include the form, function and meaning of archaeological remains in Pura Subak Ulun Suwi Sidewaas Bangli. This study uses data collection methods consisting of several stages of observation, interviews, and literature study. The next stage is the stage of data analysis, this stage using qualitative analysis and iconography analysis. The theory used in this research is the functional theory and the theory of semiotics, which is expected to solve the problems in this research. Archeology in Pura Subak Ulun Suwi Sidewaas Bangli encompasses two statues of bhatari embodiment, four statues of bhatara, one lingga tribhaga, two lingga above lapel and stela and five fragments of the statue. These stalks are believed to be a means to invoke the welfare of the plants that are incomes for the people who depend on the plantations. The holy water obtained from the temple is not only used for self-use, but also used for the fertility of cattle and plants. The residue that is sanctioned by the community of temple penyungsung has meaning as a means of worship, the worship means in question is symbolic of the goddess god or his ancestor in an effort to get closer to his ancestors.

The so called ‘’Dead Portrait’’ statues are kind of archaeological remains from the Hindu-Buddhist period that is very much encountered in Bali. So far the sculptures of the much-studied are the statues made from stones, while the bronze statues are still very little known. This study examines the iconographical variation and its causal factors on the so-called bronze dead portrait statues collection of Bali Museum and BPCB Bali-Nusa Tenggara. The author uses data collection methods such as observation, interview and literature study and data processing methods through the analysis of iconography, iconometry, iconoplastic, and iconology. The theory used to refine the interpretation of the results of the analysis is the Theory of Iconography and Iconology of Erwin Panofsky. Based on the research results found that there are variations of iconography among the bronze dead portrait collection of Bali Museum and BPCB Bali-Nusa Tenggara. The iconographic variations can be seen in the variety of jewelry, dress, body, and body postures. The iconography variation itself is caused by the ability and creativity of artists, social factors, and religious factors and beliefs.
