The article discusses ways to obtain information about risk factors and the health status of the population. The article describes a new information system «labor Medicine», which allows to organize the collection of a wide range of data for further analysis and application in the activities of various Executive authorities, public organizations, foundations, legal entities and citizens. It is proposed to improve this system by expanding the types of information collected, creating a passport for health promotion organizations, as well as integration with systems that are being implemented in the Russian Federation for managing the health of the working-age population in the context of state policy in the field of Informatization.

The paper concentrates on researching the possibilities of using modern information technologies in animal production in order to monitor and identify behavior and well-being of cows. Having in mind the challenges related to managing dairy herds, and economic pressure put on breeders (as well as the broadly defined well-being of animals), an endeavor was made to create a new method, which would be competitive in comparison with the existing solutions. The proposed method of collecting data and data processing with beacon devices as well as data warehouse, allows—according to the authors—a more complete identification of behaviors and physiological condition of a dairy herd. It is also worth pointing out that this method is competitive in terms of price. By virtue of the multitude of data that were collected, a decision was made to resign from processing data on a local computer and use a cloud compute engine instead. The presented information system creates a sequence of components, which were subject to verification both on the level of creating and conducting research. Research results that were received were then compared with knowledge presented in the literature. A vital element of validation of the aforementioned methodology was comparing results that were achieved in the course of research work with the system making use of pedometer. The aim of the authors was to develop a new information technology solution, as well as a method based on beacons, which are rather universal devices, with the use of data warehouses, allowing the identification of behavior and physiological state of milk cattle, the method which would be competitive in comparison with the existing solutions, especially in terms of price. In the proposed solution, both information coming from microcomputers and weather forecast data coming from weather forecast stations, which make the above identification easy, were used as data sources.

Abstract: In the era of globalization, information systems are now increasingly developing and are very important and main things in helping the process of corporate performance, in the near future that will make competition in the performance process will be more updated and faster. Because of that the use of information technology and the design of making application programs using Visual Basic 6.0 as programing and MySQL as its database, regarding the analysis and design of information systems for inpatients in anal azimar maternity homes. Problems - problems faced by this company, namely the problem of data redundancy in inputting data, and not presented properly and lead to difficulties when manipulating, changing, and deleting data. In the end the author hopes that with the creation of a new information system, it can help the input process more easily, and quickly. MONITOR is a joint research effort between a number of research institutions and the city of Stockholm. It aims at developing an environmental information system based on (i) accounlings of flows and stocks of materials and energy (environmental pressure) as well as describing the (ii) state of the environment and the (iii ) environmental impact in an integrated way. In MONITOR, data from existing environmental monitoring in Stockholm is integrated with new information on material flows and stocks. A first prototype, illustrating the potential benefits of MONITOR has been developed. A long-term goal is to develop a tool for an improved economising of materials and energy in the Stockholm region. In the paper, the MONITOR programme is presented as well as initial practical approaches to the work.

In order to reduce risks and increase the speed of new information technology (IT) product or service development as well as to satisfy customers’ demand, end users’ involvement has become one of the most important issues. The chapter aims at the presentation of the user role in information system development and the activities of prosumers in e-learning. The first part of the chapter covers literature review referring to studies on end users’ involvement in the information system (IS) development process. In the second part of the chapter the opportunities of prosumption development on the Internet are discussed. Particularly, the author focuses on e-learning purposes development and IT-supported communication among e-learners. The third part of the chapter covers a proposal of the architecture model as well as a discussion on methods of information system design for the prosumption development.

The introduction of a new information system into a small business, or upgrading an existing system, should be seen as an innovation and considered through the lens of innovation theory. The most widely accepted theories of how technological innovation takes place are provided by innovation diffusion (Rogers, 1995) and the technology acceptance model (Davis, 1986), but most of the research based on these models involves studies of large organizations or societal groups. This article argues that another approach, innovation translation, has more to offer in the case of innovations that take place in smaller organizations (Burgess, Tatnall, & Darbyshire, 1999; Tatnall, 2002; Tatnall & Burgess, 2004).

Initially, a significant number of contextual information can be employed to describe the pervasive system. Hence, to design this type of system, there is a stern need for a new information system. Unlike the classical information system, the new system integrates the mobile devices characterized by different hardware and software capacity and other useful devices. Therefore, most pervasive information system designers provide mechanisms and architectures to effectively save, recover and submit the most relevant information to the user regardless of location, time and the user's equipment which are independent of the network constraints. In this paper, the authors present a model to describe the pervasive information system through the use of the existing contextual models. In the same context, they suggest a semantic description to adapt the users to six categories of contextual information by taking the semantic-web-service creation as a basis. Finally, they present the semantic rules applied to the intended description and notification system to validate these rules.

The object of this case study is a marketing and sales information system in two local offices of a regional telephone company. A unified, advanced client/server system was needed due to the merging of three companies into a bigger regional company, keener competition, and the growing complexity of the services provided. The system is tailormade to meet the needs of the industry and it was developed by a software vendor in close cooperation with the nationwide alliance of regional telephone companies. This study illustrates the difficulties in simultaneously aligning an organization and implementing a new information system. Views on the skills and competence needed in using the system vary, and lead to the negligence of education and training. The consequent lack of skills and knowledge of some users, especially of those not using the system regularly, create profound problems in the whole work process and in productivity as the first, obvious work practices become the dominant mode of operation bypassing the desired integrated workflow. The findings are discussed and reflected to concepts of institutionalization, positive reinforcement, and productivity paradox. This case emphasizes the importance of the organizational implementation and adaptation process which ought to begin after the implementation of the technical system.
