Translation is a subject studied by students at any university in Indonesia. This subject has difficulties and special problems in its teaching, and many students from male and female students do not define it in depth, but they do not feel the most important of this study in the process of teaching and learning the foreign language, especially for non-native speakers. Many of them do not understand that the unity of the end of foreign language teaching at the Islamic University means skill and art of translation. Therefore, the writer writes in this writing translation problems that mean idiomatic expression and its problems in translation with the basic issue. Common mistakes in translating idiomatic expression in Arabic male and female students at the fourth level in the Islamic University of Bading Sadebwan. And this study, Al-Maktabi researched the descriptive and analytical method of translation material at the fourth level, the Arabic Language Department, by providing evidence that the researcher organized and sends the test to them using the Internet. From this study, the writer obtained the following: a) A lack of understanding of the skill of translation in Arabic male and female students, b) Common mistakes in the translation of idiomatic expression facing male and female students) Problems that guide male and female students in the study of translation from a linguistic aspect, including many Arabic vocabulary and rich so that they do not It is easy to give and choose the Arabic Fatat identical to another language. The conclusion of this study is concerned with the lecturer that upgrading the understanding of male and female students' translation in the subject matter of translation, especially the idiomatic expression

This research aims at discussing the false friends in teaching and learning Arabic. This is shown by means of a theoretical approach which explicates the false friends concept origin, and types . It also presents the western implication of the false friends, their origin in the languages, as well as their influence upon teaching and learning a language. The research then presents an applied approach of those false friends in five languages, compared to the Arabic language, namely: Urdu, Indonesian, Turkish, Malay, and Hosa based on the analytical descriptive approach. The false friends are mostly common among languages that have relationship –or from the same language family- and are less common in the diverged languages. Furthermore, false friends emerged as a result of borrowing among languages, by hairing an effect on teaching Arabic to non-native speakers of Arabic in five languages.

Arabic is an important language for Muslims but teaching the language is not an easy task. It needs efforts to improve and simplify the learning process through creative teaching strategies. Creative teaching involves the development of materials and approaches that foster students’ interests and motivation in learning. This study explored the experiences of Arabic teachers in fostering students’ interests by developing creative approaches in teaching Arabic as a foreign language at Adni Islamic School, a private Islamic secondary school in Malaysia. In collecting the data, semi-structured interviews were used as part of qualitative research. The findings indicated that teachers have been using creative teaching strategies in the teaching and learning process. These are categorized into three strategies: (1) creativity in making daily lesson plans, (2) creativity during the teaching and learning process, and (3) creativity in evaluating and assessing the outcomes of teaching. The application of these creative strategies is in accordance with the message of the Islamic principles of teaching. Recommendations were made to the relevant authorities, including the teachers themselves, so that creative teaching can be applied to the subject of Arabic language in order to produce a meaningful lesson.

Objective: Interpersonal communication is an essential element of communication that creates meaningful social relationships in the academic environment. Students who have good interpersonal communication skills will be capable of interacting with others. However, it was reported that some students still have a low capacity for interpersonal communication caused by various factors, and one of them is gender. This research attempts to investigate the students’ interpersonal communication concerning gender and to find out whether there is a difference between male and female students in terms of interpersonal communication. Methodology: This study was conducted through a descriptive method. The subject of this study includes 88 students consisting of 66 male and 22 female students at one state polytechnic in Bandung, Indonesia. The data were collected in terms of interpersonal communication and gender. Results: The results show that male students had a slightly higher score of interpersonal communication than females. Regarding the significant elements of effective interpersonal communication, it was found that there are differences in the dominant component of interpersonal communication between male and female students. Female students dominated the area of equality, indicating that they have a more dominant ability to position themselves as equivalent to their communication partners to create comfortable communication. Male students dominated the area of openness, empathy, supportiveness, and a positive attitude showing that they have a more dominant ability to show a willingness to communicate honestly and full of understanding, so they were able to give support and positive thought. Implication: The study recommends the use of appropriate communication activities that can encourage the students to be open, to be supportive, and to be positive. This condition will enable teachers to choose and apply the appropriate methods in the teaching and learning process to support the development of students’ interpersonal communication.

This study aims to prove that there is a difference of perception about ethics on tax evasion in UNISMA Bekasi students, based on selected study program and gender. The sample of this research is the students who have fulfilled the subject of taxation, at the Faculty of Economics (FE) and Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP). Using independent t-test, the results showed that there was no significant difference of perception about tax evasion ethics between FE and FISIP students. But significant differences the perception of tax evasion ethics occur between accounting and management students at FE. Significant differences also did not occur between male and female students

Amâlî (Imla) is a methodology used in studying Arabic language and literature that has a very wide scope. Amâlî (Imla) itself can be translated as: to dictate, to add, to fill in and etc. Amâlî (Imla) may also be interpreted further by the following narration: A teacher (ustadz) comes to a place like a mosque, an Islamic school or any learning space in general. In the process of teaching and learning, all that are spoken by the teacher is written down by the students on pieces of paper they had prepared earlier then be compiled into a book which will be preserved. This paper presents a brief summary of Amâlî (Imla) as a methodology which is discussed in many Amâlî (Imla) related literature works written from the beginning of 7th century until the 14th century. The subject Amâlî (Imla) is written in exceedingly diverse manner, unique to each of numerous known authors. This paper also discusses about various meaning of the word Amâlî (Imla) that has been interpreted differently among authors. In addition, the method of separating chapters and other minor distinct writing style that each of various groups of Amâlî (Imla) authors had developed was presented in this work. And lastly, this paper discusses the fact that Amâlî (Imla) related textbook authors were not only originated from the Middle East, but also from regions such as Iran (Huzistan) and Andalusia

Using the mother tongue (MT) in English as a foreign or second language (EFL/ESL) classrooms is indispensable, especially in beginner classes. This paper aims to add to the present literature on this issue by highlighting the attitudes of both students and teachers towards MT use in English as a foreign language (EFL) classroom, the justifications for its use, and some of the actual interaction practices in grammar classes. It investigates the attitudes of 110 Saudi EFL female beginners and their two teachers toward using the Arabic language in EFL grammar classes at Jazan University. It also investigates the students’ reasons for using or avoiding their MT. Moreover, it presents some of the functions that MT serves in EFL grammar classes. To collect the data, the researchers used two questionnaires and classroom observations. For data analysis, they used Microsoft Excel and thematic content analysis. The results indicated that, although both students and teachers generally have positive attitudes toward using the MT in EFL classes, they are also aware of the adverse effects of its overuse. The results also revealed that the teachers and students use MT in EFL classes to serve different classroom functions that ease the teaching and learning processes. Based on these findings, the study provided recommendations for teachers, curriculum designers, and future researchers.

This study tries to investigate the relationship between the male and female language performance and the level of anxiety among Iranian EFL students. The participants of the current study were 26 Iranian EFL students studying English in Islamic Azad University, Larestan, Iran who were selected in terms of the administering of an Oxford Placement Test. Then, the students were given The Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale. Finally, they were given an English class test which consisted of 40 multiple-choice items. The researcher calculated the correlation between the Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale and the performance of both Iranian male and female students on English Class test. The findings indicated that there was a negative correlation between the level of anxiety and the students' performance on English Class Test scores. Moreover, Iranian male students were more anxious in learning English than female students.

This study aims to examine the factors that drive student creativity, identify key factors and look at differences in creativity factors for male and female students. A total of 119 respondents from one polytechnic in the southern zone were involved in this study. The study data were obtained from the administered questionnaire and the Cronbach Alpha value obtained was α = 0.873 and then analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis. Descriptive analysis of student gender was seen using frequency and percentage while inference analysis using t-test at a significant level 0.05 was used to see the difference in creativity factors between genders. The results of the study found that the main factor that motivates student creativity is the knowledge factor with a mean value of 4.3025. In addition, studies also show that there is no difference in creativity factors between male and female students except for the knowledge factor. It is also hoped that this finding will provide an opportunity for lecturers to continue to strive and give encouragement during the teaching and learning process so that students' creativity can be highlighted through the factors that have been mentioned. Keywords: Creativity, Creative Thinking, Higher Education, Polytechnic, Students   Abstrak: Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji faktor-faktor yang mendorong kreativiti pelajar, mengenalpasti faktor utama dan melihat perbezaan faktor kreativiti bagi pelajar lelaki dan perempuan. Seramai 119 responden telah terlibat dalam kajian ini yang merupakan pelajar di sebuah politeknik di zon selatan. Data kajian diperoleh daripada soal selidik yang telah ditabdir dan nilai Cronbach Alpha yang diperolehi ialah α = 0.873 dan seterunsya dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensi. Analisis deskriptif mengenai jantina pelajar dilihat dengan menggunakan frekuensi dan peratusan manakala analisis inferensi menggunakan ujian t pada aras signifikan 0.05 digunakan untuk melihat perbezaan faktor kreativiti antara jantina. Hasil kajian mendapati faktor utama yang mendorong kreativiti pelajar ialah faktor ilmu pengetahuan dengan nilai min 4.3025. Melalui kajian ini juga diharap dapat memberikan peluang kepada pensyarah untuk terus berusaha dan memberi galakan semasa proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran agar kreativiti pelajar dapat diserlahkan dan ditonjolkan lagi melalui faktor yang telah disebutkan. The present study intended to investigate the effect of utilizing Learning Management System (LMS), Blackboard® on enhancing English as a Foreign Language (EFL) female students’ satisfaction in the Saudi context. It is found that the effectiveness of utilizing the supplementary materials on Blackboard® is leading up to EFL students’ satisfaction. Since, Blended Learning (BL) model could stimulate a classroom setting with activities that are carried out under flexible and engaging manner. The sample consisted of ninety-eight students from proficiency level -104. The data of the study was collected using a questionnaire to identify students’ level of satisfaction. The results revealed that students’ satisfaction was apparent as their positive responses outweighed their negative responses mainly in terms of richness of learning resources, opportunity to interact in foreign language, appropriateness and variety of content, and ease of using Blackboard®. Based on the results, the study recommends considering the positive assets and challenges to plan the future of both teaching and learning English language effectively. The study suggested several areas to be investigated in the future such as examining the motivational behavior of both the teachers and the students and finding out the factors that will affect the environment of BL in EFL.

In the second language, speaking is a basic skill in learning language, because language it selft is speech, a person not considered of mastering the language except by mastering the speaking. The students of Babun Najah not only found difficult in speaking Arabic language but got borred as well. Thus, student had a very low ability. It was caused by the disagreement between method used by teacher and do not use the interesting media according to students’ condition, it makes the students felt bored, lack of attention to the subject; even some of them spoke during the teaching and learning process. So the learning process runs ineffectively. This resulted in the limit ability of students to speak Arabic. Based on this problem that has been studied by the researchers, so we need for solution to overcome these problems, including: applying the Retelling Story method with the serial images in teaching Arabic language to reach the purposes of teaching speaking skills, in hopes of increasing student ability in speaking skills by combining these two variables. The purposed of this research is to know students’ responses to speaking skills and students’ abilities in speaking Arabic language using the retelling method and serial pictures in Babun Najah Banda Aceh boarding school. Quantitative supported by qualitative approach along with experimental method was used by the researcher. Purposive sampling was used to find the second graders of II-C as a control class and II-D as an experimental class that was consisted of 23 students. The results are that students’ response toward Retelling story Method with the pictures series is well, and the use of Retelling story Method with the pictures series was effective and it gave a good impact on students of  Babun Najah Banda Aceh boarding school, which the result from the t-test relate calculation is greater than t-table result, that is 1,69 < 1,93.
