<p><em>Bhakti yoga is one of ways to realize the power of God. Bhakti yoga implementation can be done through Yajna, with intention on moksa and creat jagadhita based on dharma. Yajna is a form of Veda implamantatiion. One of the form of Yajna is Agnihotra ritual as Yajna for the god of fire (Agni Dev) in kunda. This ritual is a legacy as the highest Yajna and has done by Rshi. Based on those background, the problems of this research were: (1) How is the form of symbolic communication used in Agnihotra ritual at Ashram Veda Poshana?, (2) What are the functions of symbolic communication in Agnihotra ritual at Ashram Veda Poshana?, (3) What are the meaning of symbolic communication in Agnihotra ritual at Ashram Veda Poshana in Sading villange, Mengwi subdistrict, Badung Regency?</em></p><p><em>Specifically, the purposes of this research were: (1) To describe the symbolic communication in Agnihotra ritual, (2) to describe the function of symbolic communication in Agnihotra ritual, (3) and to explore the symbolic communication meaning in Agnihotra ritual. This research used theory of structural functional and symbolic interactionism. The data were collected through literature review, documentation, observation, and interview. And the data were analyzed by qualitative descriptive technique, and presented narratively. </em></p><p><em>Based on the data analysis of this research entitled Symbolic Communication in Agnihotra Ritual at Ashram Veda Poshana, the verbal and non-verbal communication includes the ritual means preparation, Agnihotra ritual execution, praying etiquette, and time and place of the Agnihotra ritual execution. The function of symbolic communication in Agnihotra ritual involves purification function, as Yajna essence, as communication means between prayers and God, as energy source, as homatheraphy. The meaning of symbolic communication in Agnihotra ritual at Ashram Veda Poshana is: Philosophical meaning gives understanding about symbols in the Agnihotra ritual means, Spiritual meaning improves concentration and jnana, and Harmony meaning builds harmonious relationship between people and God, between people, and between people and environment.</em></p>

Abstract. This research was conducted to determine the urgency of Dawud fasting for women from a physio-psychological perspective. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research, by making direct observations or observations. The target of this study is to determine the urgency of Dawud fasting in women from the perspective of physio-psychology and Sufism for students of the Jagad Alimussirry Islamic boarding school. The data collection technique was carried out by means of interview and literature review. Meanwhile, for data analysis, the  researcher used an interactive model from Miles and Huberman and to test the validity of the data,the researcher  used Triangulation technique. The results obtained that the habit of Dawud Sunnah fasting for women could make them accustomed to be able to introspect (muhasabah) their own mistakes, be patient and sincere, motivate oneself to think positively and optimistically, be empathetic towards others and adapt well to the environment. Dawud fasting is very important and suitable for the fair sex. By not leaving Lillahita'ala's intention to worship, it will automatically train a variety of things that can guide a women in facing every problems in their life as well as making a women special not only physically but also psychologically and spiritually.

Arts creativities can be categorized as nyolahang sastra activity. That is because the performance of art is a medium for the delivery of religious teachings and interactions with others. The community of Tanah Embet Hamlet implements communication in rejang convolution dance through various dance movements as symbols, a form of non verbal communication that is full of meaning. The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe the process and form of communication of the symbolic dance of twisted rejang dance. Data collection is done by means of observation, interviews, documentation. Data analysis used descriptive analysis The results showed that the symbolic communication forms of the rejang lilit dance in the deity of Yajña in Tanah Embet were (1) transcendent communication in the verbal form of spells and in the form of nonverbal offerings; (2) interpersonal communication in the form of nonverbal gong sounds; (3). Group communication in the form of verbal words stakeholders or languages and in the form of non-verbal dance movements twisted rejang.

This research aims to describe the value of patriotism in the novel 693 KM Jejak Gerilya Sudirman by Ayi Jufridar.  This research is qualitative descriptive. The data in this research are sentences containing the value of patriotism in the novel 693 Km Jejak Gerilya Sudirman by Ayi Jufridar. The data source is the novel 693 KM Jejak Gerilya Sudirman by Ayi Jufridar.  Data collection techniques used literature review and reading-note techniques. The data analysis technique in this study uses flow analysis technique which include three components, such as data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion.  The results showed that there was a value of patriotism in the novel 693 KM Jejak Gerilya Sudirman by Ayi Jufridar.  The value of patriotism for loving the homeland is 8 data, willing to sacrifice is 23 data, emphasizes unity, integrity and safety of the nation above personal interest is 7 data, patriotism with a reformer spirit is 10 data, and never giving up is 22 data.  The most value of patriotism in the novel 693 Km Jejak Gerilya Sudirman by Ayi Jufridar is willing to sacrifice totaling 23 data.  The least value of patriotism is emphasizes unity, integrity and safety of the nation, which also amounts to 7 data in the novel 693 Km Jejak Gerilya Sudirman by Ayi Jufridar. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai patriotisme novel 693 KM Jejak Gerilya Sudirman karya Ayi Jufridar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini ialah kalimat-kalimat yang mengandung nilai patriotisme dalam novel 693 Km Jejak Gerilya Sudirman karya Ayi Jufridar. Sedangkan sumber datanya ialah novel 693 KM Jejak Gerilya Sudirman karya Ayi Jufridar. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik kepustakaan dan teknik baca-catat. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis mengalir yang meliputi tiga komponen yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat nilai patriotisme dalam novel 693 KM Jejak Gerilya Sudirman karya Ayi Jufridar. Nilai patriotisme cinta tanah air berjumlah 8 data, rela berkorban 23 data, mementingkan persatuan dan kesatuan serta keselamatan bangsa di atas kepentingan pribadi berjumlah 7 data, nilai patriotisme berjiwa pembaharu 10 data, serta nilai pantang menyerah berjumlah 22 data. Nilai patriotisme yang dominan dalam novel 693 Km Jejak Gerilya Sudirman karya Ayi Jufridar adalah nilai patriotisme rela berkorban berjumlah 23 data. Sedangkan nilai patriotisme yang minim adalah nilai patriotisme mementingkan persatuan dan kesatuan serta keselamatan bangsa juga berjumlah 7 data dalam  novel 693 Km Jejak Gerilya Sudirman karya Ayi Jufridar. This study aims to describe the student’s mathematical communication profile in solving geometry questions based on David Keirsey's personality type. The subjects of this study were 8 students of class VIII F SMPN 11 Jember which consisted of 2 students in each personality types, namely artisan, idealist, guardian, and rational. Students are given a personality type questionnaire, then test questions about the geometries, and followed by interviews. This type of research is called qualitative descriptive. The results of this study indicate that students with the artisan personality type tend to show symbolic communication, then logical communication, and finally verbal communication in solving problems. Students with idealistic personality types tend to show symbolic communication and verbal communication in solving problems. Students with the guardian personality type tend to show logical communication and symbolic communication in solving problems. Students with rational personality types tend to show logical communication, then symbolic communication, and finally verbal communication in solving problems.

Poda Na Lima is Angkola-Mandailing local wisdom means five advices which are used as a basis for the formation of islamic character of its people in their life. This local wisdom has dealt with islam such as to maintain cleanliness and purity both mentally and physically. This study explains about how Islamic character based on “Poda Na lima” local wisdom in Angkola-Mandailing community. The five basic values of Poda Na Lima are paias rohamu (the obligation to purify your hearth), paias pamatangmu (the obligation to purify your body), paias parabitonmu (the obligation to clean your clothes), paias bagasmu (the obligation to clean your house) and paias pakaranganmu (the obligation to clean the environment). This type of research was qualitative using a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are done by observation, in-depth interviews and literature review that examines directly about Poda Na Lima. Data analysis used systematically starting from data collection, data presentation, data reduction to draw conclusions. The result of this study shows that those traditions were very important identities to of Angkola-Mandailing community particularly to perform a good character and personalities to build a clean and healthy community order. And also become a guideline and foundation of life held by every Angkola-Mandailing ethnic group in managing life.

This study aims to describe 1) the form of cohesion contained in the news Watching Sakinah Movies, UIN Yogyakarta Give Praise Students and 2) describing the forms of coherence contained in the news Watching Sakinah Film, Students of UIN Yogyakarta Give Praise. The subjects used in this study were news of watching Sakinah film, UIN Yogyakarta students giving praise, and the objects used were sentences containing grammatical cohesion, a form of lexical cohesion. The approach used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach. The data in this study are sentences in the news of Watching Sakinah Movies, This student is a method of literature study. While the method of data analysis in this study is descriptive method analysis method, the method used to analyze and describe cohesion markers and analyze markers of coherence. Test The results of the study show that in the news of watching Sakinah films, UIN Yogyakarta Beri Pujian students have varied markers of cohesion and coherence in the Tebuireng Online news discourse. Cohesion markers were found to reference (3), substitution (1), ellipsis (2), conjunction (3), collocation (1), and markers of coherence found cause-effect relationships (2), relationship coherence suggestions — goals (1), coherence temporal relations (1), and coherence of causal relationships (1).

This study aimed to describe the value of cohesion and coherence contained in the translation of the Qur'an surah Al Zalzalah. This study was a qualitative descriptive research, research data collection techniques using three techniques namely, inventory, rading and understanding, and record keeping. The data analysis used the coding of data, classification data, and the determination of the data. The results showed that the cohesion markers used in the translation of surah Al Zalzalah discourse are: 1) reference, 2) pronouns, ie pronouns second person, and third, the relative pronoun, the pronoun pointer, pen pronouns and pronouns owner, 3 ) conjunctions, namely temporal conjunctions, coordinating conjunctions, subordinating conjunctions, and conjunctions koorelatif, and 4) a causal ellipsis. It mean that there was a coherence in the translation of surah Al Zalzalah discourse are: the addition or addition, pronouns, repetition or repetition, match words or synonyms, in whole or in part, a comparison or ratio of conclusions or results. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan tiga teknik yakni, inventarisasi, baca simak, dan pencatatan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan pengodean data, pengklasifikasian data, dan penentuan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemarkah kohesi yang digunakan dalam wacana terjemahan surah Al Zalzalah adalah: 1) referensi, 2) pronomina, yaitu kata ganti orang kedua, dan ketiga, kata ganti penghubung, kata ganti penunjuk, kata ganti penanya dan kata ganti empunya, 3) konjungsi, yaitu konjungsi temporal, konjungsi koordinatif, konjungsi subordinatif, dan konjungsi koorelatif, dan 4) elipsis kausal. Sarana koherensi yang terdapat di dalam wacana terjemahan surah Al Zalzalah adalah: penambahan atau adisi, pronomina, pengulangan atau repetisi, padan kata atau sinonim, keseluruhan atau bagian, komparasi atau perbandingan simpulan atau hasil.Kata Kunci: Kohesi, Koherensi, surah Al Zalzalah

Recent developments in the online distribution and consumption of audio-visual content have brought relevant changes to the transnational flow of content. Thus, the need for a theoretical and methodological rejuvenation of flows research has been signalled. The aim of the present study is to analyse the different flow studies throughout time, following a series of parameters such as research question, methodology and scale of study. This article is a systematic literature review of 30 flow studies on film and television programmes, published between 1974 and 2014. The methods used by the studies are brought into focus and discussed thoroughly, in light of the method of data collection, the type of data used and the method of data analysis. Main findings show an evolution towards more detailed research, to include more contextual factors, an increased use of secondary data, as well as more focused regional and comparative studies.

The pronunciation of inappropriate words to exemplify, thus rendering the child devoid of good manners and word-tours, and often against parenthood, is because her parents are unspoiled when she speaks disrespectful and also against parental sayings becomes a phenomenon often encountered in society particularly in coastal communities. Family is very important in child education. The problem formula in this study is (1) How is the behaviour of children in the family? A speech can also lead to a description of the principles of conversation. This also happened in Las Day Production's video “Cara Kodein Cowok Biar Cepet Merid”. This research aims to find out and describe the female characters’ utterances or the implicit forms of the in the video "Cara Kodein Cowok Biar Cepet Merid" by Last Day Production. The approach in this research uses pragmatic and qualitative descriptive. The data collection technique in this study was using the note-taking technique. The data analysis techniques used in this study were data triangulation, theory triangulation, and source triangulation. Triangulation of data was generated by recording the speech of a female character in the video "Cara Kodein Cowok Biar Cepet Merid" by Last Day Production. The theory triangulation refers to pragmatic theory, while the source triangulation is the video "Cara Kodein Cowok Biar Cepet Merid" by Last Day Production, which is downloaded on YouTube. The research results in the video "Cara Kodein Cowok Biar Cepet Merid” have 8 stories of female characters that contain implicatures.
