This research is concerned with the objectification of women in the television advertisement.I employ qualitative methodology (critical discourse analysis) to highlight how sexist media construct objectified images of feminine. This research analyzes the content of television advertisements from Axe fragnance  inIndonesia and the U.S to know how beauty is encoded in terms of sexual portrayal. These findings suggest that beauty in the western perspective, may be constructed more in terms of the body. Thisstudy also discusses how feminist critiques of the sexual objectification of women in advertising may need to be considered within Eastern perspective. This research explains the reporting style of two newspapers of similar news items. It is related to the headlines styles of reporting in print media. Print media plays very strong role in present era, it’s very important to know how media reveal same news in different point of views. This research paper investigates the news headlines through critical discourse analysis, of 2 daily Urdu newspapers correspondingly from First April to 7th April 2020. In this research paper COVID19 (Corona virus) news headlines were examine in two Urdu Newspapers Daily Jang newspaper and daily Express Newspaper. Newspapers of one week were examined for this research. The Daily Jang based in Karachi. Since 1939 is the oldest newspaper of Pakistan and continuously in publication. The Daily Jang newspaper is published by the Jang Group of Newspapers. The Daily Express is one of Pakistan's most broadly circulated Urdu Newspapers. Through Critical Discourse Analysis it was analyzed that the headlines in both the newspapers have different style of text, meaning and ideology because Jang and Express Newspapers have much difference in polices and in ideology.

The aim of the study is to analyze Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s speech at United Nations’ Security Council on September 22, 1965. The study attempts to uncover the meanings of the words employed to show the core tension of 1965 war between Pakistan and India. There have been different models of CDA presented by scholars like Fairclough, Wodak and Van Dijk, but the most suitable CDA framework for this study case is of Van Dijk. His (1997) framework for critical discourse analysis provides the clear picture of the ideologies expressed in various kinds of structures. Qualitative methodology has been employed for this study and the content of the speech was analyzed qualitatively. The findings of the study elaborate that Bhutto was determined to have a permanent peace in the region. It can also be observed that he was quite confident in buying peace for Pakistani and the neighboring countries. He reinforced the subject matter with multiple instances of the countries that faced the same war-like circumstances and rose again with new zeal and zest. The study has its theoretical as well as practical scope.

 Understanding of the hidden intent or meaning behind the news texts can be known through critical discourse analysis. The basic understanding of critical discourse analysis is that discourse is not understood merely as an object of study of language but language as a tool used for certain purposes and practices including ideological and power practices. The data of this research are news texts with criminal problems in the newspaper Posmetro Padang. The source of this research data is the daily news of Posmetro Padang. Theo van Leeuwen's critical discourse analysis model is one of six critical discourse analysis models that allow the reader to know how a group or someone is marginalized or even favored in a news discourse. In addition, it helps so that readers can think more critically in analyzing a news discourse. Not only read but understand and interpret it so that it can know the hidden purpose in the news text.

The feminist movement in Mexico has recently gained attention due to the diverse manifestations along with the country. The song Canción sin miedo (2020) portrays elements that keep a relationship with the feminist ideology, as well as recent events that are depicted in the lyrics. Critical discourse analysis (CDA) is presented as an approach to examining the song, using Halliday’s systemic functional linguistics (SFL) model and parallelism analysis. The outcomes of this study suggest that the song was produced as a claim for social justice, but it involves elements that generate a sense of identity for some women because their roles and struggles are depicted in the lyrics, principally femicide. Additionally, the parallelism analysis shows three syntactical structures that compose the body of the text. This examination is also a call for noticing the emergence of violence against women in Mexico.

This research is conducted using model of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) that stated by Norman Fairclough. This discourse analysis is selected because it is considered to be able to answer the question of the purpose of this research that is formulated which focused on digging up the ideology value on teenager body image that is displayed on the discourse analysis in Hilo Teen advertisement. Fairclough sees a discourse as a social practice and authority which involves particular ideology value whether in explicitly or implicitly. The analysis of Fairclough is centered on text, discourse practice, and sociocultural practice. In this research, discourse analysis text Hilo Teen advertisement is focused on text dimension that involves representation, relation, and identity that is aired on the advertisement and sociocultural context in community scope. The result of this research based on the analysis defines Hilo Teen advertisement describes the body image of teenage girls are thin, slim, tall, and energetic; on the other hand, the body image of teenage boys are thin and tall. This advertisement also displays the problematic and realistic of teenagers who accentuate physical aspect only. Furthermore, Hilo Teen advertisement not only promotes milk product for teenagers but also tries forming a perception and conception on the society (teenagers and parents) about an ideal body shape of teenagers.

The article is devoted to formation and development of discourse analysis as an effective method to study functional aspects of political communication in global political space. It reports on main theoretical and methodological approaches to critical analysis of political discourse. Mainly, it deals with theoretical and methodological perspectives of three leading schools of critical discourse analysis: discourse analysis of N. Fairclough, that presents a relational approach to considering social problems in their relation to textual analysis; socio-cognitive theory of T.A. van Dijk, oriented to investigating relations between cognitive structures, discourse and social coordination; discourse analysis of R. Wodak, that uses historical approach to discourse and is aimed at description of powerful language of the elite that helps to maintain dominance in society. The paper characterizes some frameworks of critical analysis of political discourse, including the Duisburg School of Critical Discourse Analysis (S. Jäger, F. Maier), System-Functional and Social-Semiotic Theory (M. Halliday, T. van Leeuwen), and Mediated Discourse Analysis (R. Scollon, S. Scollon). It is stated that within its boundaries critical discourse analysis includes a variety of approaches, analytical tools and methodologies. The author underlines that scientific consideration of critical discourse analysis will demonstrate its potential and prospects for integrating this interdisciplinary qualitative methodology into a set of empirical tools of modern political science.

The thesis uses the central concerns of visual culture studies to investigate the shift towards artificial limbs that imitate the body as identified by Steven Mihm (2002). Drawing on a modified, less utopian, form of critical discourse analysis, which recognizes the sociocultural power of the visual, this thesis interrogates the promotional literature that the A.A. Marks Company, an artificial limb manufacturer, produced between 1888 and 1920. This thesis critically analyzes the techniques used by the company to assert their authority to frame their relationship to their clients. In addition, this analysis interrogates the company's use of the technologies of vision to champion visually imitative prosthesis. The goal of this analysis is to determine how the company deployed the turn towards the imitative, and what was at stake for the producers, and consumers, as well as the wider culture in the use of imitative limbs.

Pond's Mens </em><em>it self</em><em> always bring up the ad with a new concept when they put out a new product variant. The man of today is a manifestation of cooperation between the pond's makes Rio Dewanto as a brand ambassador. This research uses critical discourse analysis</em><em>,</em><em> model which Norman Fairclough classifies three dimensions of discourse consisting of text</em><em>,</em><em> discourse practices</em><em> and </em><em>socio cultural practices. The dimensions of the text simultaneously has three functions, namely the representation, relationships, and identity. The results showed that the ads were shown to men as a disciplinary body's efforts. This article deals with how Syrian female refugees are intersectionally invisibilized in Turkey as refugees and as women. The main aim of this study is to understand the dialectics of (in)visibilization of Syrian female refugees. Therefore, using Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), we analysed discourses in social media as well as popular discourses by Turkish and Syrian women in Ankara. We concentrate on the relation between the discourses produced in the host society and the particular way of how Syrian female refugees are portrayed and invisibilized. We wanted to know how powerful these discourses are in the host society when it comes to the (in)visibilization of Syrian women and their bodies. Furthermore, we wanted to understand the intersectionality of discrimination and invisibilization of Syrian female refugees. This study shows how discriminatory discourses are internalized and circulate also among women. Moreover, we show how different forms of invisibilization are usually related to marginalization, but in some cases can even be used as a means to escape discrimination.
