In the text, an attempt was made to analyse selected issues related to gerontology in the relationship to people with disabilities. The context of analyses is the tendency of social ageing tendencies, observed in Poland and in the world, especially in European countries. Selected areas of reflection are combined with the conviction that there is a need for research which would fill in the gap in the field of research carried out so far, focused on the issue of the broadly defined life situation of the people with disabilities in the senior years, which is in the scientific merit of Polish special needs education (pedagogics). There is a justified fear that these individuals are more likely to experience marginalisation and exclusion in many areas of life than people of similar age in the general population.

Digital inclusion and Web accessibility are integral parts of modern culture and, as such, have implications for social accountability. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has suggested standards and guidelines regarding the inclusion of people with special needs, with an emphasis on higher accessibility and adaptability as the main goal of Web design. The user interface is the place where users can interact with the information by using their minds. Users with special needs can acquire information by using a human centered user interface. This article highlights the need to investigate the relationship between cognition and user interface.

AbstractWhile previous research suggests that individuals who humanize their companion animals may have insufficient human social support (Epley, Waytz, & Cacioppo, 2007), researchers have not examined the relation between companion-animal anthropomorphism and the health of animal guardians while taking into consideration their human social support levels. It was hypothesized that dog guardians with low levels of human social support would have poorer health if they engaged in high rather than low levels of anthropomorphism, while the health of dog guardians with high levels of human social support would not vary depending on their anthropomorphism levels. A sample of 203 Canadian dog guardians completed an online survey. Results revealed that, among dog guardians with low levels of human social support, those who engaged in high levels of anthropomorphism were more depressed, visited the doctor more often, and took more medications. Furthermore, among dog guardians with high levels of human social support, those who engaged in high levels of anthropomorphism were more stressed and depressed. These findings highlight the complexity of the relationship between anthropomorphic behavior, human social support, and dog guardians’ health.

Current study was designed with the aim to explore the relationship between perceived social stigma(PSS) and perceived stress(PS) among parents of children with special needs. The study was conducted from September, 2019 to June, 2020. The sample of 500 parents (250 mothers & 250 fathers) was selected using purposive sampling. The results of the study revealed that there is a significant positive correlation (r=.83**, p<.01) between social stigma and perceived stress among parents having children with special needs. Findings indicated that mothers experienced higher level of social stigma and perceived stress as compared to fathers. Similarly, parents of children with autismspectrum disorder experienced elevated level of PSS and PS as compared to parents of children with intellectual disabilities and down syndromes. Findings also indicated that Perceived social stigma is a significant predictor of perceived stress [R2 =.691; F (1, 498) = 1115.2, p<.01]. Results concluded that parents need counselling and clinical services to minimize the negative impact of perceived stigma and in order to reduce their stress.

The purpose of this research is to find out : (1) the development of education inclusive in SMAN 4 Palu, and (2) reality of learning of history at SMAN 4 Palu. Research data collected through the interview, observations, and the documentation. This study in the data analysis that are induktif  and in the form of interactive  are based on the relationship between the fact one and the fact that others who have a causal through the data collection, the reduction, of the data, the presentation of  the data, verification data, or the withdrawal of the conclusion. The results of research shows that activity as well as the development of education inclusive in SMAN 4 Palu has been run since 2014, students special needs learn along with the students regular in a class. All of the school support and tried to maximize education inclusive, although in fact  still much shortcomings in the implementation of education inclusive. In the learning of history at SMAN 4 Palu is good,  according to the implementation to the lives of the day of the day learners adapted in methods, the media, and the material impertinent. Keywords: Inclusive Education, History Learning.

In recent years, Poland has seen a change in the identification of people with disabilities. It is noticeable to abandon the use of the terms disabled, blind, cripple, invalid. In this place are the terms a person with a disability, a person with special needs. This indicates a tendency to deviate from the definition of disability or its type, in the direction of putting the person first and replacing the concept of disability with other terms that do not have a stigmatizing character. The goal of the article was to show the relationship between the changing language describing and defining disability and changes in the perception of people with disabilities and their impact on the sense of exclusion of people with disabilities. The research used a method of content analysis to recreate disability terms functioning in the opinion of people with disabilities in social discourse and an online survey was used to examine the relationship between the sense of exclusion and disability terms, ways of perceiving oneself and the assessment of the society’s attitude towards people with disabilities. This allowed to show the meaning of the language and its impact on the processes of integration of people with disabilities in contemporary Poland.
