This study reveals (1) the mathematical dispositions of students, teachers, and parents in distance learning, and (2) factors forming the mathematical dispositions of students, teachers, and parents in distance learning. The method used in this research is a survey-based qualitative descriptive analysis. The subjects of the study were 20 elementary school students, 20 elementary school teachers, and 20 parents who have elementary school-aged children (6 to 11 years). The research data were collected through questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that the level of students' mathematical dispositions in distance learning was at a moderate level, the parents' mathematical dispositions were at a moderate level but tended to below, while the teachers' mathematical dispositions were at a high level. There are three factors that need to be considered to determine a mathematical disposition, namely the presence or absence of a mathematical disposition, its direction, and its intensity. Meanwhile, an interactive learning atmosphere, fast feedback, the use of technology, and the right content are factors in forming mathematical dispositions. This supports the proposition that the disposition (students, teachers, parents) towards mathematics learning is influenced by rules and practices in schools, teacher-student relationships, and expectations that determine the learning climate.

The basis of all mathematical activity is problem-solving. One of the important factors that can help students find new knowledge and strategies in solving problems is creativity. This study aims to describe the increased creativity of elementary school students in solving math problems through the use of Scratch media in the mathematics learning process in the classroom. This research is action research conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consists of four basic steps: planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The subjects in this action research were 25-grade students in one of the elementary schools in Palangkaraya City. The research was conducted from July to November 2019. Data collection was carried out by means of observation and giving tests. Observations were made to obtain data about student activities in the process of implementing actions through observation sheets, where the data collection process was assisted by collaborators. Giving tests are carried out to measure students' creativity in solving math problems. The success criterion used in each action cycle is when students classically have reached the minimum category of creative enough (level 3) at least 75%. The data validation technique used triangulation techniques and data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed an increase in creativity from pre-cycle to the third cycle, namely: pre-cycle by 16%, cycle I by 52%, cycle II by 68%, and cycle III 76%. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that learning mathematics through the use of Scratch media can increase creativity in solving math problems of elementary school fifth-grade students with an increase of 60%.

Abstract:. Problem solving is one of ways to develop higher order thinking skills. Strategy of problem solving that can be developed in mathematics learning is Polya's strategy. This study aims to analyze the problem solving difficulties of elementary school students based on Polya strategy. To support this research, descriptive analysis is used on seven elementary school students . The results show that, the difficulty of mathematical problems solving of elementary school students consist of the difficulty of understanding the problem, determining the mathematical formula/concepts that is used, making connections between mathematical concepts, and reviewing the correctness of answers with questions. These happened because the problem presented is in a story problem, that is rarely studied by the students. Students usually solve mathematical problems in a form of routine questions, which only require answers in a form of algorithmic calculations.

This research aims to know speaking teaching methods used at Kampung Inggris Pontianak for elementary school students and tutor obstacles during teaching activity. The method applied in this research was qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. The data were collected from interview and observation with the owner of Kampung Inggris Pontianak, West Kalimantan. It was found that English speaking skill to elementary school students was separated into four levels; basic, intermediate 1, intermediate 2, and advanced. There are five methods applied by Kampung Inggris Pontianak to improve students English speaking skill. Flashcards, watching movies, listening, games, and singing. There were two kinds of obstacles that tutors face during the class. First, most of the tutors’ backgrounds were non-educational. So, they found it hard, sometimes, to control their elementary students who are very energetic. They might have English language competence. However, it is not adequate as their only competence to teach students compared to tutors with English educational background. Therefore, Kampung Inggris Pontianak holds micro-teaching practices to see tutor candidate performances before coming into class. Second, new students made many false answers on the placement test just to make them get into a lower level class than they are supposed to be. The researcher hopes this research will give knowledge to the reader of how tutors in Kampung Inggris Pontianak teaches speaking skills to their students.
