The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the functioning of personal peasant farms, the main trends of their development in modern conditions are determined. The development of PPF play an important role for the economy of the state, the socio-cultural development of rural areas, and the life of rural residents. It is these farms that create the foundation for the state's food security, producing more than 40% of agricultural products, supplying a significant share of food products to the population on the domestic market. At the same time, it was investigated that in the Transcarpathian region the role of PPF is increasing due to the peculiarities of the geographical location and relief, natural and climatic conditions, traditions of life and activities of the population, and the like. It has been established that 224.4 thousand PPF operate in the region, which produce more than 90% of agricultural products, and they use land areas in comparison with the worst quality, production activities in them are more labor-intensive and require larger costs. However, the presence of three natural and climatic zones, a favorable climate and other factors create advantages for this particular form of farming in the region. And even despite the fact that now there is a tendency towards a gradual reduction in the number of PPF and their share in agricultural production, in the future they will continue to play an important role both in the region and in Ukraine as a whole, the issue of improving their material and technical support is actualizing, increase in investment volumes and development of their investment potential. Particular attention is paid to considering the prospects for further research, taking into account the processes of decentralization of authority.

With the aim of developing the national economy in the Russian Federation, economic regionalization has been widely used, which contributes to increasing the economic efficiency of regulating the productive forces in the country. The aim of the study is to assess the place and role of the Central Black Earth region in the economy of the agro-industrial complex of Russia. The research methodology is based on economic-statistical and correlation-regression analyzes. The scientific novelty of the research consists in identifying the patterns of development of the Central Black Earth region as an agrarian region. The practical significance of the study lies in the fact that taking into account the revealed patterns when developing strategies for the development of individual sectors of the agro-industrial complex will allow us to overcome the identified negative trend of reducing the production of certain types of agricultural products. The Central Black Earth region occupies a special place among 12 economic regions of Russia. It occupies no more than 1.0% of the total land area of the country, but ensures the production of 16.3% of agricultural products manufactured in the Russian Federation. The share of agricultural production in the gross regional product of the Central Black Earth region in 2019 remained 27.9%, which makes it possible to consider the Black Earth region as a region with a predominance of agaric production. An analysis of the indices of agricultural production in Russia and in the Central Black Earth region showed that the average growth index of agricultural production in 2011-2018 in the Central Black Earth region amounted to 116.1%, however, the dynamics of changes in these indices reflects a negative trend of deceleration, which can be described by a linear equation of the form y = -3.4867x + 131.8. Among the subjects of the Central Black Earth region, the maximum growth in the volume of agricultural production for 2005-2019. observed in the Belgorod region - 8.3 times, and the minimum in the Lipetsk region - 6.8 times

The article presents a forecast for agriculture development in the Chuvash Republic up to 2022 according to three scenarios: optimistic, probabilistic and pessimistic. Agriculture occupies a special position in the region's economy and is a system-forming industry. The share of agriculture in the gross regional product makes 9%, which is significantly higher than in other regions of the country, and the share of residents living in rural areas is 36.6%. Structurally, the agriculture of the Chuvash Republic is quite balanced. During the study period from 2010–2019, significant positive changes in the industry can be noted. Thus, the production of basic agricultural products increased by 1.93, and the gross output of basic crops increased by 2.16. However, despite the positive trends, there are still problems in certain areas. The production of the animal husbandry main products during the study period decreased by 135.6 thousand tons; the agricultural machinery fleet in agricultural organizations decreased by 1.97; the number of livestock decreased by 147.3 thousand heads. In order to predict future changes in the industry, the authors, based on the dynamics of indicators for 2010–2019 that characterize agricultural production in the Chuvash Republic, and using the Excel program, proposed three options for the development of the situation for 2020–2022 – optimistic, probabilistic and pessimistic. Studies have shown that a pessimistic development scenario is more likely to be implemented, which requires immediate corrective actions in the agricultural sector of the Chuvash Republic.

The results of the main trade relations for the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2015-2019 and the priorities of the state internal agricultural policy are analyzed within the framework of the geostrategic goals of developing the market for agricultural products, raw materials and food, as well as creating favorable conditions for the activity of an agricultural producer. Basing on the analysis, the main reasons for the existing production problems in the agro-industrial complex of the republic were revealed: production technical and technological ones, underdeveloped production infrastructure, segmental approach to financing agricultural producers and their associations in the absence of comprehensive measures for the development of the agro-industrial sector, low prestige of labor in agriculture, insufficient investment attractiveness and the significant influence of external factors on the production efficiency. The article provides statistical data showing trends in foreign trade in the context of the main types of agricultural products and partner countries. The article deals with the relationship between economic development and environmental security. With regard to agricultural land use, ensuring environmental security involves optimizing the organization of land use and land use process on the basis of environmental restrictions on environmental pollution and agricultural products. First of all, according to environmental constraints, the possibilities of exploitation of natural resources and taking into account the peculiarities of agroecosystems (natural and climatic conditions, water resources, terrain, land and soil structure, land erosion, etc.) are determined to address food security. On their basis, ecologically balanced operation of agroecosystems is carried out through the formation of ecologically safe land uses, which provide for the optimization of economic activity of agricultural producers, taking into account environmental constraints. The article clarifies the essence and significance of ecologically safe agricultural land use in agriculture, proposes an approach to defining the essence of ecologically safe agricultural land use as a process of land use in the agricultural sector of the economy, which prevents the danger to human health, degradation of land resources, as well as their resilience to environmental threats and risks. The role of ecologically safe agrarian land use in ensuring sustainable development of rural areas and directions of influence of interaction of ecological and economic components of safety of agrarian land use are defined.
