Poisk Agrofirm is actively involved in solving the problem of import substitution. Cooperation of the private breeding and Poisk seed company with such state scientific institutions as FSBSI FSVC, FSBSI Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology and others makes it possible to obtain science-intensive competitive tomato hybrids. One of the most important stages in the creation of professional tomato hybrids is their introduction into production. Under condition of strong competition from foreign seed companies, the quality requirements for the Russian hybrids and its seeds are very high. The Rostov region is traditionally one of the flagships for growing tomatoes in protected ground. A large part of the production of tomatoes is on the small farms. Requirements for cherry hybrids are high yield, fruit diameter more than 3 cm, weight about 30 g, firmness, bright colour and good taste. New line of the professional cherry hybrids of various shapes and colours has been created in the Moscow and Rostov Breeding Centers of the Poisk company. When creating hybrids, the mandatory components of the breeding process are the introduction of genes of resistance to 2-4 diseases into hybrids, selection for high taste qualities, transportability. The aim of the work was a comparative assessment of the yield and economic qualities of cherry hybrids of the Poisk agrofirm in the production conditions of farms in the Rostov region. Cherry tomato hybrids F1Volshebnaya arpha, F1 Elf, F1 Krasny lukum showed good results in tests in 2019-2020 in 3 rotations in the farm of the Zaplavskaya village and in the ground greenhouses of the Krasyukovskaya village. The maximum yield in comparison with foreign standards was shown by the orange fruit hybrid F1 Volshebnaya arpha in all three rotations: (12.6 kg/m2compared to the F1 Ira standard-9.3 kg/m2) in first, (19.46 kg/m2 compared to the F1 Ira standard - 9.7 kg/m2) in second, (13.83 kg/m2 compared to the F1 Maxic standard - 5.17 kg/m2) in third rotation. Overall, F1 Volshebnaya arpha and F1 Elf showed good competitiveness. Work on breeding will continue in the direction of a productive, diseases resistance, good taste and for long shelf life of cherry hybrids.

Technological qualities of the seeds, including their mass, play an important role in the purposeful use of soybean for food production. The purpose of this study is to determine the potential of specific crosses and recombinant lines in the combinative breeding of high yielding large-seeded soybean varieties. During the period of 2018-2019 the F3 and F4 hybride generations of crosses with participation of the ultra-early mature and large-seeded cultivar Romantica were studied. Data were used to evaluate: presence and extent of positive transgressive forms by absolute seed mass in F3 family crosses; genotypic diversity and additive variance at specific crosses; the effectiveness of selection of the trait large seed in F3. According to the results, transgressive selection can be successfully used to reach the goal large seeds in soybean. The efficiency of selection of transgressive forms in F3 generation is high. The genetic potential to combine a high specific mass of seeds with a high yield of seeds per plant has been established for the Romantica cross with the Bulgarian standard variety Srebrina. Recombinant lines suitable for intensive selection for the trait lage seed were obtained from the ‘Romantica’ x ‘Oria’ combination. The ‘Saikai 20’ x ‘Romantica’ cross possess a very high degree of transgressive segregations.

AbstractMacrocycles are unique molecular structures extensively used in the design of catalysts, therapeutics and supramolecular assemblies. Among all reactions reported to date, systems that can produce macrocycles in high yield under high reaction concentrations are rare. Here we report the use of dynamic hindered urea bond (HUB) for the construction of urea macrocycles with very high efficiency. Mixing of equal molar diisocyanate and hindered diamine leads to formation of macrocycles with discrete structures in nearly quantitative yields under high concentration of reactants. The bulky N-tert-butyl plays key roles to facilitate the formation of macrocycles, providing not only the kinetic control due to the formation of the cyclization-promoting cis C = O/tert-butyl conformation, but also possibly the thermodynamic stabilization of macrocycles with weak association interactions. The bulky N-tert-butyl can be readily removed by acid to eliminate the dynamicity of HUB and stabilize the macrocycle structures.

HMn(CO)5, DMn(CO)5, CH3Mn(CO)5, and C6H5Mn(CO)5 have been irradiated with neutrons and the product spectrum of 56Mn-containing molecules determined. The results show that H56Mn(CO)5 is formed in all cases: 21.0%, 23.6% from HMn(CO)5 and DMn(CO)5 targets, respectively, and 6.9% and 2.1% from CH3Mn(CO)5 and C6H5Mn(CO)5, respectively. Thus the yields are not in accord with the number of H atoms per target molecule. Preliminary experiments show that •*Mn(CO)5 exchanges rapidly with HMn(CO)5 and DMn(CO)5 and very slowly with CH3Mn(CO)5 and C6H5Mn(CO)5. It is deduced that the very high yield of H56Mn(CO)5 in HMn(CO)5 and DMn(CO)5 targets could arise from the rapid exchange, while the lower yields of H56Mn(CO)5 in other targets must likely come from radical reactions following thermal dissociation of the target molecule.

Abstract Background With increasing clinical demand for gallium-68, commercial germanium-68/gallium-68 ([68Ge]Ge/[68Ga]Ga) generators are incapable of supplying sufficient amounts of the short-lived daughter isotope. In this study, we demonstrate a high-yield, automated method for producing multi-Curie levels of [68Ga]GaCl3 from solid zinc-68 targets and subsequent labelling to produce clinical-grade [68Ga]Ga-PSMA-11 and [68Ga]Ga-DOTATATE. Results Enriched zinc-68 targets were irradiated at up to 80 µA with 13 MeV protons for 120 min; repeatedly producing up to 194 GBq (5.24 Ci) of purified gallium-68 in the form of [68Ga]GaCl3 at the end of purification (EOP) from an expected > 370 GBq (> 10 Ci) at end of bombardment. A fully automated dissolution/separation process was completed in 35 min. Isolated product was analysed according to the Ph. Eur. monograph for accelerator produced [68Ga]GaCl3 and found to comply with all specifications. In every instance, the radiochemical purity exceeded 99.9% and importantly, the radionuclidic purity was sufficient to allow for a shelf-life of up to 7 h based on this metric alone. Fully automated production of up to 72.2 GBq [68Ga]Ga-PSMA-11 was performed, providing a product with high radiochemical purity (> 98.2%) and very high apparent molar activities of up to 722 MBq/nmol. Further, manual radiolabelling of up to 3.2 GBq DOTATATE was performed in high yields (> 95%) and with apparent molar activities (9–25 MBq/nmol) sufficient for clinical use. Conclusions We have developed a high-yielding, automated method for the production of very high amounts of [68Ga]GaCl3, sufficient to supply proximal radiopharmacies. The reported method led to record-high purified gallium-68 activities (194 GBq at end of purification) and subsequent labelling of PSMA-11 and DOTATATE. The process was highly automated from irradiation through to formulation of the product, and as such comprised a high level of radiation protection. The quality control results obtained for both [68Ga]GaCl3 for radiolabelling and [68Ga]Ga-PSMA-11 are promising for clinical use.

Several studies have searched for higher efficiency on plant selection in generations bearing high frequency of heterozygotes. This work aims to compare the response of direct selection for grain yield, indirect selection through average grain weight and combined selection for higher yield potential and average grain weight of oat plants (Avena sativa L.), using the honeycomb breeding method. These strategies were applied in the growing seasons of 2001 and 2002 in F3 and F4 populations, respectively, in the crosses UPF 18 CTC 5, OR 2 ´ UPF 7 and OR 2 ´ UPF 18. The ten best genetic combinations obtained for each cross and selection strategy were evaluated in greenhouse yield trials. Selection of plants with higher yield and average grain weight might be performed on early generations with high levels of heterozygosis. The direct selection for grain yield and indirect selection for average grain weight enabled to increase the average of characters under selection. However, genotypes obtained through direct selection presented lower average grain weight and those obtained through the indirect selection presented lower yield potential. Selection strategies must be run simultaneously to combine in only one genotype high yield potential and large grain weight, enabling maximum genetic gain for both characters.
