The article deals with the issue of practice as the basic format of training preschool teachers at the university. Certain issues are brought to the spot such as contradictions between changing cultural, economic, and social environment and traditional, to large extent old-fashioned, regulations in university professional training, the readiness of employers to host and participate in the management of practice activities, the willingness of the teaching staff to mentoring collaboration, the expectation of trainees. The necessity to renovate the system of training is vividly highlighted by the results of the survey held among all the participants of practice. Through the reflexive model of pedagogical practice as an element of the curriculum for training a preschool teacher at a university, we analyze the changes to be introduced in target, technological, content, methodological, and efficiency components.

The peculiarities of the development of organizational and academic autonomy of Kharkiv Imperial University in 1804–1835 are highlighted. It is shown that during the specified period the dynamics of the university autonomy process was characterized by a decrease in independence. It is proved that during 1804–1814 the institution was characterized by a high level of personnel autonomy. There were appointment and dismissal of teachers and officials, training of professors), managerial and educational autonomy (opening schools, finding teachers, writing textbooks, attracting local funds for educational needs), teaching autonomy ( teachers' free choice of sources for preparation for classes, high level of academic freedoms), publishing autonomy (printing in their own printing house) and student autonomy. The reasons for the change in attitudes towards the university and its independence after 1815 are analyzed (news of the murder of a history teacher by a German student, as a result - fears of youth free-thinking by the Ministry of Education, interference in university life, division of society into supporters and establishments of higher education). The events that became natural for that time are covered. They are the attack of the government and the most reactionary figures (O. Sturdza, M. Magnytskyi, D. Runich, I. Laval, etc.) on higher education and on university autonomy, ignoring the provisions of the democratic statute of 1804, publication in periodicals of articles directed against the independence of universities; dismissal of qualified teachers, reduction of the quality of higher education, etc. The level of organizational and academic autonomy in 1815–1835 is characterized (subordination of the university administration to the trustee, who now controlled all issues of the university; introduction of strict censorship; restriction of freedom of teaching; departure of foreign professors abroad; lack of teaching staff; superior treatment of students; loss of other privileges, etc.). The role of academic freedoms in the development of the student's personality is shown (self-preparation of higher education seekers, fundamental professional training, respect for academic virtues, gratitude of the university). Abstract The growing number of foreign applicants looking forward to getting education in Ukrainian medical universities makes us find the ways how to improve and make effective the pre-professional training system of foreign medical applicants for further education. The article deals with the issues of the history of formation and development of the preprofessional training system of foreign medical applicants in Ukraine. On the ground of the electronic databases of the official websites of higher educational establishments, the data on years of opening first offices of the dean, departments and preparatory faculties for foreign medical applicants in Ukrainian medical universities are analyzed and systematized. Also the data on the setting up preparatory faculties at other universities who carry out licensed training of foreign students of the medical profile are presented. The data on the operating and management of such institutions in the system of the University administration are generalized. It’s revealed that during the years of its functioning the pre-professional training has changed, in particular the system was commercialized and the institutions involved in training foreign applicants have been reorganized. The modern trends in teaching foreign medical students at the preparatory faculties of the Ukrainian medical universities are displayed. Based on the analysis of the data it is concluded that the system of the pre-professional training of foreign medical applicants was set up in the 50s-60s years of the twentieth century. During this time, some positive experience in the preparation of future international medical specialists has been gained. The system of the pre-professional training of foreign medical applicants has been comprehensively improved and an effective system of managing foreign medical applicants has been created.

ArgumentMost social scientists today think of data sharing as an ethical imperative essential to making social science more transparent, verifiable, and replicable. But what moved the architects of some of the U.S.’s first university-based social scientific research institutions, the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research (ISR), and its spin-off, the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR), to share their data? Relying primarily on archived records, unpublished personal papers, and oral histories, I show that Angus Campbell, Warren Miller, Philip Converse, and others understood sharing data not as an ethical imperative intrinsic to social science but as a useful means to the diverse ends of financial stability, scholarly and institutional autonomy, and epistemological reproduction. I conclude that data sharing must be evaluated not only on the basis of the scientific ideals its supporters affirm, but also on the professional objectives it serves.

Kinesiology programs are well positioned to create and develop partnerships within the university, with local health care providers, and with the community to integrate and enhance the activities of professional training, community service, public health outreach, and collaborative research. Partnerships with medical and health care organizations may be structured to fulfill accreditation standards and the objectives of the “Exercise is Medicine®” initiative to improve public health through primary prevention. Barriers of scale, location, time, human resources, and funding can be overcome so all stakeholder benefits are much greater than the costs.
