This article is aimed at demonstrating the possibilities of using the usability testing method in the framework of research to determine the features of the new forms of digital urban participation by Russians in solving social and environmental problems and conflicts. In particular, the authors investigated the effectiveness of environmental online platforms in the UX research methodology through usability testing of these sites from the perspective of their users. The results of testing showed that both the functionality of these platforms to involve the population in environmental practices and technical limitations prevent users from putting environmental initiatives into practice. The data obtained in the framework of the UX study will allow us to compare the perception of users of online platforms with the conceptual vision of their developers to identify potential biases in the perception of these products by their ideologues and users in order to minimize these gaps. In terms of the increase of scientific knowledge, this study will allow to assess the effectiveness of the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) for digital ecoactivists in comparison with traditional (offline) forms of urban participation, to analyze the new strategies and forms of digital participation, and to identify the main advantages and disadvantages of ICTs in minimizing socio-environmental problems and conflicts in the tradition of M. The article expresses the need to create a theoretical basis for combating cyber attacks in special telecommunication systems as an integral part of the national security of the state. The development of methods for hiding information as well as providing information during video streaming and images in networks is underway. The basic calculations are given at the initial stages of information hiding and methods for ensuring the latent transfer of data in telecommunication systems.

This research presents an analysis of the active methodologies of learning in higher education and its potential, from the use of Information and Communication Technologies applied to education. It is considered the thought of authors who discuss active methodologies today and a collection of information addressed with students of Pedagogy course in the context of the Open University of Brazil. The results point out the possibilities of the use of active methodologies, combined with the use of technologies, enabling greater student engagement and qualification in the learning processes. However, it should be noted that the technologies available arouse the students’ interest or have the potential to qualify learning processes according to planning, group characteristics, and teaching mediation. The Virtual Learning Environment, among the researched resources, are considered by students as the best communication space to study, followed by the moderate use of some social networks.

The intensive penetration of information and communication technologies into the labour market has also determined the modernisation of work organization processes. The digitization of information and telecommunications enabled to perform most of intellectual activities not only in the work premises but also in other spaces distant from the main workplace. Thus, as the technology revolution gradually releases modern intellectual work from the constraints of the physical location, telework is becoming an increasingly accelerating trend in the world. Together with technological changes allowing to reach the employee 24 hours a day and 7 days a week create challenges for teleworkers seeking to successfully reconcile two areas of life – work and personal life. Employees from different fields, among them accounting, audit, finances, analysis and others that carry out tasks via telework face this challenge.Relevance of the scientific research problem formulated in this paper was determined by the lack of studies in the scientific research to date, which would evaluate the intensity of telework use as an important factor that has a different effect on work-life balance. The research aim is to reveal the effect of the intensity of telework use on employee work-life balance. A quantitative study – the survey of telework employees was conducted and 320 respondents were surveyed. The results of the empirical study revealed that the intensity of telework use had equally positive effect only on two dimensions of work-life balance: time intended for the family and friends and time intended for oneself.

This article examines the procedural means of studying the identity of the wanted suspect (accused) in the conditions of proliferation of high technologies. The object of this research is criminal procedure legal relations, within the framework of which the investigating officers examines the identity of the suspect (accused) for tracing their location. The relevance of the selected topic is substantiated by the practical need of law enforcement authorities to reduce the number of criminal cases shelved due to tracking down the suspect. The goal of this work lies in assessment of the procedural means from the perspective of their possible application in investigation of the information and communication space. Special attention of given to the main instrument of preliminary investigation agencies – investigative measures. It is determined that the preliminary investigation agencies are limited in the use of information and communication space for criminal tracking. The novelty lies in the attempt to view the procedural means of studying information systems from the perspective of government and private databases, iCloud, dating site, social networks, instant messengers, Internet applications, etc. However, their use requires new procedural forms. The development of such forms would improve the effectiveness of the activity of preliminary investigation agencies in tracking down the suspects (accused).
