The current study aimed to reveal the degree of practice of mathematics teachers in the basic stage in Jordan for effective teaching in light of the standards of the National Council of Mathematics Teachers (NCTM) from the point of view of the educational supervisors. Mathematics subject in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, whose number is (171) supervisors and supervisors, distributed between the directorates of education and the ministry center. A questionnaire was applied to them consisting of (7) standards and (48) indicators, which were derived from the National Council of Mathematics Teachers (NCTM) standards document. Where the indicators of its validity and reliability were verified, the study found that the degree of practice of mathematics teachers in the basic stage in Jordan for effective teaching standards in light of the standards of the National Council of Teachers and the viewpoint of the educational supervisors came at the macro level with a medium degree, with an arithmetic mean (3.09). "In the first place, with an arithmetic mean of (3.70), and with a high degree, while the field (planning mathematics lessons in an unconventional way) came in last place, with an arithmetic mean of (2.20), and with a weak degree, the results did not show differences in the degree of practice attributable to heterosexual sex and experience, while there were differences attributed to the scientific qualification variable and in favor of those with postgraduate academic qualification. The study recommended the necessity of holding training programs for the standards of the National Council of Mathematics Teachers (NCTM) to develop the performance of mathematics teachers, and to include these standards in the teaching courses of the Faculties of Education in Jordanian universities during the teacher preparation period.

The sample of the study included the axis of algebra in each book of this stage. To achieve this, the descriptive method was used through the method of content analysis. Lycartes averages. The highest scores in the third, fourth and fifth grade textbooks were for the criterion of analysis of change in different environments (1.84), while the lowest level of understanding of relations, patterns and functions was (0.90) And the use of mathematical models between these two grades. In light of these results, the researcher recommends that the criteria for the content of algebra should be considered in the basic stage books in the third, fourth and fifth grades.

This study aimed at recognizing the degree of possession and practicing mathematics teachers in the basic stage of basic education principles in their teaching from their point of view. Is there a connective relationship between the degree of possessing of basic education principles and the degree of practicing them. The sample of study consisted of (32) mathematics teachers in the basic stage. The instrument of study covered a questionnaire consisted of (14) items. The validity of the questionnaire and its reliability had been assured; the possession reliability coefficient amounted to (0.90) and (0.88) for practice. The researcher employed the appropriate statistical techniques, such as arithmetic means and standard deviations, and Pearson’s Correlation coefficient for examining the strength of relationship between both degrees of possession and practice. Results of study deduced that mathematics teachers in the Basic stage possess Basic Education principles, as a whole, at a medium degree, where it was conspicuous that they possess (4) principles of the Basic Education principles at a high degree, (5) principles at a medium degree and (5) principles at a little degree, meanwhile mathematics teachers in the Basic stage practice the Basic Education principles as a whole at a medium degree too, where it was cleared that they practice (4) principles of the Basic Education principles at a great degree, (5) principles at a medium degree and (5) at a little degree. Results also deduced existence of positive connection, stab, (5) principles at a medium degree and (5) at a little degree. Results also deduced existence of positive connection, statistically significant at (α< 0.05) between the degree of possessing the Basic Education principles and the degree of practicing them at mathematics teachers in the Basic Stage.

The research aimed for identifying the extent of the reality of the use of mathematics teachers for the third grade of learning styles in teaching multiplication and division tables and its impact on the quality of distance learning from their point of view. The sample consisted of (250) male and female primary school teachers, and the sample was randomly chosen. The questionnaire was distributed electronically after confirming its validity and reliability. The results of the research indicated that the increase in the efficiency of the teacher in using learning styles in teaching the multiplication and division tables for the third grade by one unit will lead to an increase in the quality of distance learning by (0.714). There are also statistically significant differences among the arithmetic averages of mathematics teachers ’responses in Marka basic schools because of the importance of applying learning styles used in distance learning due to experience variable. While there are no statistically significant differences between the averages of mathematics teachers ’responses in Marka basic schools because of the importance of applying learning styles used in distance learning due to the educational qualification. The researcher recommended the necessity of promoting the idea of applying learning styles to the third-grade teachers in distance learning for mathematics especially in teaching multiplication and division tables for their importance in all educational stages.

The study set out to examined the extent to which secondary school mathematics teachers implement the principles of effective teaching and evaluation of mathematics as put forward by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics – NCTM; principles which when effectively implemented will enable learners to construct knowledge thereby doing away with mathematics phobia, and consequently performing better in mathematics. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. The population of the study was made up of 600 public and private secondary school mathematics teachers serving in the North West Region of Cameroon. Using the Taro Yamane’s formula, 240 mathematics teachers selected through simple random sampling, constituted the sample of the study. Two research questions and two hypotheses guided the study. A questionnaire whose Cronbach alpha reliability was found to be 0.87 was used to collect relevant data. The data collected was analysed using mean to answer the research questions and t-test to test the hypotheses at the 0.05 level of significance. The findings of the study revealed that the level of implementation of the principles of effective teaching and evaluation of mathematics by secondary school mathematics teachers in the North West Region of Cameroon is significantly low. Furthermore, male and female mathematics teachers do not differ significantly in their implementation of the principles of effective teaching and evaluation of mathematics. It was recommended among other things that secondary school mathematics teachers should embrace the NCTM principles of effective teaching and evaluation of mathematics with finesse and incorporate them within their instructional programs and practices.
