The subject of the study is conflict, its essence and conflictological culture from the point of view of the formation of the company’s employees’ behavior style in conflict situations in the organizational field. The article considers components of the conflictological culture, the contexts of conflicts and the optimal styles of behavior of the individual. Due to the fact that the behavior of the opponent is a marker for the adoption of an effective strategy of actions, the author examines effective conflict management based on the study of the types of behavior of the opponent in a conflict situation. The paper notes that the conflictological culture of the individual in the context of problematic interpersonal interaction acts as an integrative quality based on the existential-humanistic apparatus of values, communicative, behavioral and psychological culture, and manifests itself in the optimal tactics of behavior aimed at constructive conflict resolution. The study concludes that conflict, as a phenomenon, contains the potential for the development and improvement of employees’ experience and skills in resolving difficult situations.

The subject of this article is the application of game theory (GT) to solve the problem occurring in the management of construction contracts. One of the fundamental reasons for disputes between the investor (IN) and the general contractor (GC) is payment for supplementary works—an additional expenditure incurred by GC that was not planned at the tender stage. If IN delays signing the annex to the contract and rejects any financial and timeframe-related claims, GC usually considers one of the two strategies: to stop works or to continue works without the annex and the guarantee of payment for additional works. IN also analyzes the consequences of adopting one of the two strategies: not to sign the annex, or to sign the annex and pay for the additional work. The aim of the presented game is to indicate the optimal strategy from the GC point of view in the conflict situation with IN. The article defines the background of the problem, the cause of the dispute, and formulates a theoretical model of the game.

Building on hope theory, this study demonstrates that state and trait hope are associated with daily interpersonal experiences. Multilevel modeling of daily diary data ( N = 127 adults) indicated that state hope—composed of the dual factors of pathways (i.e., the ability to devise routes toward goals) and agency (i.e., motivation to pursue devised routes)—was negatively associated with amount of daily interpersonal conflict, positively associated with constructive conflict management when conflict occurred, and negatively associated with daily challenges in maintaining relationships. These relationships were found largely at the within-person level. Further, and consistent with central tenets of hope theory, moderated multilevel models showed that within-person state pathways and agency thinking were more strongly associated with day quality on days when individuals experienced higher-than-usual levels of relational maintenance challenges. Finally, in an extension of hope theory, multilevel models showed that dispositional pathways and between-person state agency were positively linked to momentary feelings of connection as captured by experience sampling over a 7-day period. Overall, the findings contribute to the continued expansion of hope theory into the study of social and personal relationships.

Underachievement in school is seen as a failure in traditional theories of education. An alternative construction of school underachievement, from the point of view of Michel Foucault? s approach to power and George Kelly's principle of elaborative choice, is offered as the subject matter of this paper. Instead of being construed exclusively as a measure of good education school success can be seen as the effect of normalization based on the power of discourses dominating in a society. In the same time, underachievement can be seen as a form of resistance to dominant discourse, as well as a way of defining identity in accordance with marginalized discourses whose significance is not recognized or respected from the point of school authorities. The prevailing tradition of European rationality treats poor achievement as a case of norm deviation. The individual perspectives are discounted as irrational and disordered behavior, requiring treatment. Kelly however, asserts that claims of irrationality reflect poor understanding of individual perspectives. When individuals resist the dominant discourse and underachieve despite their abilities, they are making an active choice which should be understood from their point of view. The choice someone makes is always an elaborative choice. Thus underachievement may be construed as resistance to power, based on the principle of elaborative choice.

Sociology of religion has not developed in Greece as it has in the western countries. It is not easy to determine the reasons for the scarcity of studies and research projects con cerning sociology of religion. In fact, neither religion, taken as a universal social phenomenon, nor orthodox theological thought and its application to the individual and to the social, political and economic life of the Greek people have been sufficiently studied from a sociological point of view. Con temporary Greek sociologists have only touched on the subject of religion. Some effort has been made during the last decade by young Greek theologians to properly establish and develop the science of sociology of religion. This effort, however, has, so far, not brought about the anticipated scientific results. Moreover, it has failed to gain the confidence and acknow ledgement in theological and ecclesiastical circles where socio logy as a science is still generally regarded with much re servation. It should be noted that the development of sociology of religion in Greece was first prompted by various Christian — social movements for the purpose of opposing several anti- Christian ideological movements which have appeared since the beginning of our century.

The article considers the conceptualization of the world from the point of view of its methodological paradigm assessment in the context of the globalizing world. A retrospective analysis of the relationship between language and human speech activity is given. Analyzes the problems of the functioning of communicative norms with regard to the hierarchy of the spiritual representations of the world. The article attempts to consider the impact of the “blurring” of the information boundaries of the globalizing world on the cognitive abilities of the individual in the nomination, qualification of the subject, phenomenon, process.

The article is devoted to the issues of conflict interaction in the “pupil – teacher” system in an educational institution. The purpose of the article is to consider the voiced problem through the prism of a socio-pedagogical approach, taking into account not only the state of society, but also the educational potential of the family, as well as the structure of the class team and the personal age characteristics of schoolchildren. Special attention has been paid to the negative side of the conflict, which affects the weak psyche of the pupil, as well as the mental health of the teacher, which ultimately worsens the psychological comfort at school and interferes the educational process. It has been shown that in conflict situation teacher`s behavior in most cases relates to such types of response as “repressive measures” and “ignoring the conflict”. The relevance of the study is determined by the ambiguity of the interpretation of the concept of “stress resistance”, as a result of which there are difficulties in providing assistance to persons suffering from extremely difficult situations. The purpose of the study is to provide the author's interpretation of the category “personality stress”, which summarises the various definitions. To achieve this goal, the author relies on a methodology of a systematic approach that provides clarity in the understanding of the studied category, order and the ability to summarise research information that existed in the form of disparate elements of the disclosure of something more holistic. The author's definition of stress resistance as a complex integrative systemic property of personality, where the components of its structure (psychophysiological, emotional, cognitive, volitional) are in a certain ratio and form a holistic structure – a stable internal organisation that determines the quality and development of the system. It has been found that different definitions of the term are used in relation to the conditions of stress and areas of mental personality. It is confirmed that vitality is used to denote the adaptive properties of a person who overcomes extremely difficult living conditions. It is substantiated that stress resistance in extreme conditions indicates physiological endurance and depends on the skills of self-regulation to restore homeostasis in life-threatening situations. It is noted that the term “resilience” is better used in difficult communication, which violates the emotional balance of the individual. It is stated that spiritual stability determines the strength of will of a person seeking freedom. The practical value of the research is that the scientific developments on the subject matter have received a clear structural and systemic basis, which makes provision for opportunities to more objectively and holistically approach the solution of problems related to stress

The article provides an overview of the philosophical-psychological conceptions of the phenomenon of ownership. The formation of ideas about property and attitudes are affected by the socio-economic conditions of social development. One can highlight several key ideas that are characteristic for a certain stage of the development of society. The issue of property in Ancient Greece acquires the character of reasoning about the relationship between private and public interests, morals and property, as well as the role of the legislature in dealing with conflict situations, consideration of natural sources and prerequisites for the formation of the phenomenon of ownership, the relationship between natural and unnatural origins of relationship to the property. The philosophy of the Middle Ages examines the problem of the relation between the divine and the earthly, the place of property in the process of interaction "Man-God". Social utopias were characteristic of the Renaissance. A change in the political and socio-economic structure ofEuropeled to the understanding of social inequality. The tension created by inequality, could be released by viewing society and polity as a determinant of the development of negative personality traits (anger, theft, greed, etc.). Utopian "worlds" were the result of a desire to change the real power in society. However, property is not denied, but only goes into collective and personal use. Russian philosophy considers the phenomenon of property from the point of view of the “individual – God” interaction. Private property contributes to the activity of the individual, developing their knowledge and skills through work. Property is divine, and man disposes of it, not owns. Without its spiritual meaning property becomes a means of violating social stability. The main purpose of ownership is to serve the society. The state plays the role of a controller of personal selfish needs of a man.
