Edited text of Serat Centhini Tambangraras Amongraga is a text that contains the teachings of Javanese culture. The teachings in it are also addressed to Javanese women. This study describes linguistic forms that contain gender bias regarding Javenese women in edited text of Serat Centhini Tambangraras Amongraga. Data are words, phrases, and clauses collected from edited text of Serat Centhini Tambangraras Amongranga part II and V. The analysis was carried out with a qualitative descriptive method using three steps of data analysis, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verivication. The theory used is Halliday’s Sistemic Functional Linguistic, as textual, conceptual, and interpersonal metafunction. The results of this study found that the use of lexicals are categorized as adjectives, representing women’s subordinate position, the use of verbs that place women as the target function, and the use modality, as modulated-obligation to oblige women to have citeria that men want.  Teks suntingan Serat Centhini Tambangraras Amongraga adalah teks yang memuat ajaran kebudayaan Jawa. Ajaran di dalamnya juga ditujukan kepada perempuan Jawa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk kebahasaan yang mengandung bias gender dalam teks suntingan Serat Centhini Tambangraras Amongraga. Data yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini merupakan data kebahasaan berupa kata, frasa, dan klausa yang dikumpulkan dari teks suntingan Serat Centhini Tambangraras Amongranga jilid II dan V. Analisis dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan tiga langkah analisis data, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi data. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Linguistik Sistemik Fungsional yang digagas Halliday, yaitu metafungsi tekstual, ideasional, dan interpersonal. Hasil dari penelitian ini, ditemukan penggunaan leksikal berkategori adjektiva yang merepresentasikan bahwa posisi perempuan tersubordinasi, ditemukan penggunaan verba yang menempatkan perempuan sebagai fungsi Sasaran, dan penggunaan penekanan pada modalitas, yaitu modulasi obligasi untuk mewajibkan perempuan memenuhi kriteria-kriteria perempuan idaman laki-laki.

Student usually faced several problems when speaking, such as lack of vocabulary and grammar. This research is focus on speaking skill as important skill of four basic language learning.  Using qualitative descriptive method, researcher analysis students' problems in speaking of eleventh grade students in SMA Negeri 1 Sukodadi, Lamongan.  The students’ usually faced problems when speaking, such as lack of vocabulary and grammar. This research is guided by research problems as follows: (1) what are student’s problems in speaking English at eleventh grade in SMA Negeri 1 Sukodadi. (2) What are the causes of students’ problems in speaking English at eleventh grade in SMA Negeri 1 Sukodadi. Researcher used qualitative methods. In answering research problems, researcher used observations and interviews. The researcher uses three main phases of data analysis namely data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. Based on the data analysis, the result of research found the students problems, included the cause of problems in English speaking. In speaking English every students has their typical problems, but in general those can be stated as follows: lack of vocabularies, grammar, pronoun, comprehension and fluency. The researcher also found that the causes of students’ problems are, lack of confidence, fear of mistakes, shyness, anxiety and low of motivation.  Keywords: Student’s problem, speaking

This research aims to understand and to describe the process and rules of thetenses form in Manado Malay language. This research is conducted in Manadowhich is almost all the civilians use Manado Malay language as their dailycommunication.This Research uses qualitative descriptive method and structural linguisticsmethod as an approaching to do this research.The data collecting was in terms ofrecording and interviewing with informan and analyzed by Miles and Hubermanmodel of data analysis such as data reduction, data display and data conclusion.The result shows that there are three forms of tenses in Manado Malay languages.Those are present, past and future. The present tense is form by a prefix ba- whichis bound to a verb; past tense is formed by a partikel so and followed by a verband; future tense is formed by partikel mo and followed by a verb.Keywords: tenses, process, Manado-Malay, language

This study aims to gain an understanding of the comparison of language styles in a collection of End-of-Season Phrases by Adiska Nirmaya and a collection of Nafaskarya Fatimah Musawa poems. The method used is qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques in research using documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques with steps: data reduction, data display, and conclusion and verification. The results of the study show that there are comparisons of comparative language styles and opposing language styles. Comparative language style in the collection of End-of-Season Phrases by Adiska Nirmala amounts to 18 data and the language style of contention is 5 data, based on the language style that dominates the collection of Phrase Poems at the End of Season. Whereas the collection of Nafas poems by Fatimah Musawa, namely: Language style comparisons totaling 9 data. While the language style of contention is 11 data. Conclusions, a collection of End-of-Season Phrases by Adiska Nirmaya is more dominant in the style of comparison and the collection of Nafas poems by Fatima Musawa has a dominant style of language in opposition. This research aims to reveal the students’ understanding about niqab, to scrutinize other university members’ response, students’ who wear niqab resistance at  Islamic University in Kendari. This research uses qualitative descriptive method by phenomenon and living Quran approach to know students’ insight of niqob. The data collection uses documentation, interview and observation. Data analysis uses data reduction, validation and taking conclusion using textual and contextual comprehension. The results show that: (1) 80% respondent students of IAIN Kendari who are wearing niqob know the dalil is from Q.S. Al Ahzab : 59 and Q.S. Annur : 31, nevertheless they did not understand the dalil deeply. 2 students consider that it is compulsory, and 8 students consider it as sunnah or optional. (2) university communities’ response to students’ who wear niqob, are first, it is allowed by some requirement; second, it is not permitted if resulting social anxiety, third, the students’ attitude to be more exclusive and introvert; forth, other community feel uncomfortable in communication; and fifth there should be specific regulation for niqob  wearer, (3) There are 4 types of students’ resistance, they are, opened resistance (social media exposing), alternative resistance (wearing masker), closed resistance (optional in wearing niqab, partially covered and uncovered), negotiated resistance (negotiating to rector).

AbstractThis study aims to describe character education values in HAMKA’s poems. It used the qualitative descriptive method. The data sources were HAMKA’s 11 poems in hisbooks Kenang-kenangan 70 Tahun Buya HAMKA and Kenang-Kenangan Hidup. The data werecollected by reading the content and meaning of each poem carefully and recording them.They were analyzed by the qualitative descriptive technique using Miles and Huberman’smodel consisting of research focus identification, data reduction, data analysis anddisplay, and inference making. The results show that HAMKA’s poems contain charactereducation values that include: (1) religiosity, (2) honesty, (3) hard work, (4) autonomy, (5)nationalism spirit, (6) love of the homeland, 7) social care, and (8) responsibility. Throughhis poems HAMKA tried to convey meaningful messages about the giving of guidanceto the reader to become a whole person with characters in the dimensions of heart, mind,body, feeling, and intention.Keywords: character education, poems, HAMKA

This research aims to find out how the application of S}araf in reading yellow book using qualitative descriptive research. The subjects of the study were lecturers of science s}araf, lecturers of Qiraah and Mut}alaáh as well as students of  Arabic program at IAIN Bone. Data were collected through observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data analysis was carried out in three stages continuously including data reduction, data display and conclusion/verification withdrawal stage. The results shows that S}araf learning materials are divided into three stages; S}araf 1, S}araf2 and S}araf 3 by using various methods, including lecturing, discussions, demontation of bags }rif and tadrib. Tadrib/exercise was carried out with bag exercise }rif, practicing to make sentences, analyzing the function and form of words and giving harakat to a reading.  The application of s}araf in reading the yellow book was began by giving harakat to a text to determine its meaning. S}araf, that has a study on the formation of the word is very instrumental in this case. Mastery of the bag will make it easier to read a reading, whether it has harakat or not. The understanding of an Arabic text is not limited to the mastery of any existing mufradat, but rather must pay attention to the form of the word used.

The purpose of this study was to describe the politeness of Indonesian between students and between students and teachers at SDN 06 Bengkulu City neighborhood. The research subject is that students of class V. The scope of this research is the use of verbal and nonverbal politeness by students at SDN 06 Bengkulu: students with students, and students with teachers. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. Data collected by observation, field notes, interview techniques and recording technique. Steps of data analysis conducted in stages, data reduction, data display and data verification. Results of research on linguistic politeness Indonesia students in the SDN 06 Bengkulu city, namely (1) for politeness the studentsdata found conversational politeness students more than the data conversation violation of politeness that is, 21 data is conversations that contain maxims of politeness and 5 the data conversation violation maxim of politeness, (2) for politeness between students and teachers found 7 data containing politeness conversation, and was not found students who violate the maxim of politeness and not found students against teachers. All data that conversation concluded with a look at the context of the speech that underlie the events said. The conclusion from this study is that politeness between students and between students and teachers reveal politeness. For nonverbal language, in speaking students use the fit between body language and speech (verbal).

This study aims to analyze the types of phoneme sound changes in Bugis, Toraja and Mandarin languages. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with data and data sources from 6 informants, each of whom masters Bugis, Toraja, and Mandar languages. Data collection techniques in this study used listening techniques, note-taking techniques, and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques in this study include data display, data reduction, verification, and data inference. The results showed that the types of sound changes in Bugis, Toraja, and Mandarin include lenisi, sound addition, metathesis, and assimilation. Apocope lenisi type is more commonly found in Bugis, Toraja and Mandar languages than syncope. In sound addition, the most common data found were prosthesis data in Bugis and Mandarin. The metathesis type is only found in the comparison of Toraja and Mandarin, and only regressive assimilation types are found in Toraja and Mandarin. From the results of the analysis of the type of sound change, it shows that the Toraja and Mandar languages are closer, compared to the Toraja and Bugis languages.

This study aims to determine whether the Industrial Relationship  Between Worker, Entrepreneur and Government  at PT. Aru Raharja Indonesia has achieved its goal.           This research method used an evaluative descriptive method. The object of the research was focused on the Industrial relationship  between worker, entrepreneur and government  On the outsourcing program of PT. Aru Raharja Indonesia          Data is collected through observatied, documentation studied, and indepth interview. Data analysis used descriptive evaluative techniques, through four stages, namely: data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing/verification.          The results of the studied found that industrial relationship at the outsourcing program of PT. Aru Raharja Indonesia is classified as moderate. This indicates that the industrial relation to the outsourcing program of PT. Aru Raharja Indonesia still needs to be repaired in its implementation. It can be less effective in the process of communication between worker, entrepreneur and government in the form of coaching, supervision and coordination between the parties involved in the relationship industry

The background of this research, the low impact resulting from the activities of Industrial Work Practices (PRAKERIN) Students Programs Hospitality SMKN 6 Padang, This looks at the mistakes that occurred in the industry such as the student could not comply with the rules established in the hotel some hotels are return students back to school and there are also students who make a quiet Testament error made and supply activities preparation of students not prakerin according to what will be done in the industry, This type of research is qualitative descriptive method ata collection techniques are observation, interview and documentation. The data analysis technique that is data reduction, display data, conclusion and verification .The results of this study portray that (1) Planning a briefing given to the students is still less than the maximum. (2) The implementation of activities of Industrial Work Practices own good, but the implementation there are students who are lazy. (3) prakerin ratings given to tutor students are nice, but for the procedure of granting the student prakerin value assessment takes time to ask.Because to get that value students must complete the assigned activity journal from the beginning.
