Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kajian psikoanalisis tokoh utama  novel “Seputih Hati yang Tercabik” karya Ratu Wardarita dengan teori Sigmund Freud sebagai pisau bedahnya untuk menganalisis kepribadian dan pertahanan tokoh utama pemeran utama dalam novel.  Peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif analitis  dengan pendekatan kualitatif.  Sedangkan pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tiga teknik, yaitu baca, catat dan kepustakaan.  Kutipan berupa kata, frasa dan kalimat yang didapat dalam novel yang berfungsi memperkuat analisis data terkait teori Freud, selanjutnya dianalisis dengan prosedur (1) reduksi data, (2) penyajian data, dan (3) penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini mendapatkan bahwa struktur kepribadian menimbulkan pergumulan antara id, ego, dan superego.   Sedangkan mekanisme pertahanan konflik menghasilkan efek represi, rasionalisasi, regresi, reaction formulation, perasaan trauma, dan intelektual. The purpose of this study is to describe the psychoanalytic study of the main character of the novel "Seputih Hati Tercabik" by Ratu Wardarita with Sigmund Freud's theory as the scalpel to analyze the personality and defense of the main character in the novel. Researchers used descriptive analytical methods with a qualitative approach. Meanwhile, data collection was carried out using three techniques, namely reading, taking notes and literature. Quotations in the form of words, phrases and sentences obtained in the novel serve to strengthen data analysis related to Freud's theory, then analyzed by procedures (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation, and (3) drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the personality structure causes a struggle between the id, ego, and superego. Meanwhile, conflict defense mechanisms produce effects of repression, rationalization, regression, reaction formulation, feelings of trauma, and intellectuality.

This study investigates Self-Destructive Behavior of Hannah Baker in Thirteen Reasons Why novel, conducted in qualitative approach analysis of self-destructive behavior of the main character and what reasons or the causes of it through the narratives in the Thirteen Reasons Why novel. The goal of the study is to analyze how self-destructive behavior impacted the main character, Hannah Baker which is described using the theory of Self-Destructive Behavior and Defense Mechanisms by Sigmund Freud (1966). The result of this study shows that Hannah Baker developed the self-destructive behavior as a defense mechanisms from herself that triggered by trauma from the past. It started with the non-suicidal self-destructive behavior but soon turns into the suicidal self-destructive behavior. This study also shows how a suicide can really be an impact of the behavior that happens in the novel resulted from a non-suicidal self-destructive behavior that is not handled well, and all the mistreatments that the main character felt which produce the desire for ending her life.Keywords: Self-Defense Mechanism, Self-Destructive Behavior, Sigmund Freud, Suicide, Thirteen Reasons Why.

<p><em>The study aimed to (1) analyze and describe the novel structure, and (2) analyze and explain the sociological aspects in which the main character of the novel. The method of the study was qualitative by using sosiology of literature approach. Literary technique was done by using descriptive analysis. The data was obtained from documents and informants. Data collection technique were conducted through three procedures: (1) reading, (2) finding aspects of literary structure, and (3) finding aspects of sociology of literature. There were three basics to analyze the data. They were data reduction, data presentation, and data withdrawal. Based on the three basics, it can be seen about the life of main character in the novel Seputih Hati yang Tercabik written by Ratu Wardarita, Ida Kusama. The main character was described as a woman who was tough on her household problems that is her failure in marry. Based on data analysis, it is known that the novel talks about the life struggle of the main character accompanying with culture aspect in every place visited by the main character. </em></p><p> </p><p>Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dari penelitian ini yaitu : (1) menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan struktur novel, dan (2) menganalisis dan memaparkan aspek sosiologi yang dialami tokoh utama dalam novel. Metode yang digunakan adalah secara kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Teknik kepustakaan dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Data diperoleh dari dokumen dan informan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tiga prosedur: (1) membaca, (2) mencari aspek struktur sastra, dan (3) mencari aspek sosiologi sastra. Terdapat tiga dasar untuk menganalisis data yang diperoleh yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan data. Dari ketiga dasar tersebut dapat dihasilkan mengenai keadaan hidup tokoh utama dalam novel Seputih Hati yang Tercabik Karya Ratu Wardarita bernama Ida Kusama. Tokoh utama digambarkan menjadi seorang wanita yang tegar terhadap permasalahan rumah tangganya yaitu berupa kegagalan berumah tangga. Dari analisis data yang dilakukan, diketahui bahwa novel tersebut mengenai perjuangan hidup tokoh utama dengan diiringi aspek budaya yang kental di setiap daerah yang didatangi tokoh utama.</p>

Abstract: This study aimed to describe (1) the personality id figure Rey in the novel "The moon Drowned In Your Face" Work Tere Liye, (2) the personality ego character Rey in the novel "The moon Drowned In Your Face" Work Tere Liye, (3) personality super ego character Rey in his novel "the moon Drowned in Your Face" Tere Liye work. This study was a qualitative descriptive study and included in this type of library research. The data used in this study is novel Rembulan Drowning In Your Face Tere Liye Work, published by Republika Jakarta pata first printing in 2009 and consists of 426 pages. Data collection techniques used in this research is the engineering documentation and observation techniques. Teknk data analysis aims to describe the elements of fact stories that form the main characters' personalities that exist in the novel "The moon Drowned In Your Face" Work Tere Liye ". Based on the analysis, it can be concluded personality of id, ego and super ego that experienced by the main character. Based on the results of the study, that the personality Ray in the novel Rembulan Drowning In Your face has the id that is present in the form of hatred against a dark past, the curiosity over his true identity, as well as the ambition to destroy those he considered duplicity. Ego Ray looked at the rebellion he often did to help the people he loved. Super ego Ray looked at the behavior that always decide things according to his conscience desires.

Abstrak: Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan ikon, indeks dan simbol yang terdapat dalam novel 121 Hari di Shimotsuma karya Boby Julian. Metode penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah teknik baca simak dan teknik catat untuk mencari kutipan yang termasuk kedalam semiotik ikon, indeks, dan simbol, lalu menjadikan data tersebut sebagai bahan analisis. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan Reduksi data, menyajikan data, dan verifikasi. Hasil analisis data yang diperoleh dalam novel 121 Hari di Shimotsuma  ialah ikon waktu, tempat, perasaan, keadaan alam, dan keadaan seseorang. Indeks yang terdapat dalam novel 121 Hari di Shimotsuma yaitu indeks  hubungan antara alam dengan kehidupan, kehidupan dengan keadaan, dan segala perbuatan manusia dengan segala balasannya. Simbol yang terdapat dalam novel 121 Hari di Shimotsuma yaitu berkaitan dengan hakikat kehidupan manusia sehari-hari.Kata Kunci: semiotik, ikon, indeks, simbol, novel Abstract: This paper aims to describe the use of icons, indexes and symbols contained in Boby Julian's novel: 121 Hari di Shimotsuma. The research method was descriptive qualitative using a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used were reading and note-taking techniques to find quotations that were included in semiotic icons, indexes, and symbols. The data then were used as material for analysis. Data analysis techniques were performed by data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of data analysis obtained in the novel 121 Hari di Shimotsuma were icons of time, place, feelings, natural conditions, and one's condition. The index contained in the novel 121 Hari di Shimotsuma was an index of the relationship between nature and life, life with conditions, and human actions with all reward and punishment. The symbols contained in the novel 121 Hari in Shimotsuma were related to the essence of everyday human life.Keywords: semiotic, icon, index, symbol, novel

Inovasi layanan drive-thru perpustakaan merupakan sebuah layanan yang diciptakan Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Jawa Timur. Inovasi layanan drive-thru ini berbentuk tempat / loket untuk melayani kebutuhan pemustaka tanpa harus turun dari kendaraan. Inovasi ini bertujuan untuk memudahkan pelayanan kepada pemustaka dengan harapan dapat meningkatkan budaya literasi.. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan inovasi layanan drive-thru di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Jawa Timur. Fokus penelitian ini adalah Kriteria Inovasi menurut PermenPANRB nomor 3 Tahun  2018 meliputi 5 variabel yang terdiri atas Kebaruan, Efektif , Bermanfaat , Dapat direplikasi, dan Berkelanjutan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah jenis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Untuk teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara,observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, pemaparan dan penarikan kesimpulan. Untuk hasil penelitian menunjukkan inovasi layanan drive-thru memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan. Pada kriteria kebaruan menunjukkan inovasi drive-thru merupakan suatu penemuan baru serta menawarkan cara baru dalam melayani pemustaka melalui loket. Untuk kriteria efektif tujuan dari diciptakannya drive-thru adalah untuk memudahkan pemustaka sudah memenuhi, tetapi untuk meningkatkan budaya literasi belum tercapai. Untuk kriteria bermanfaat sudah dapat memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat dan bagi dinas yang menerapkannya. Pada dapat direplikasi inovasi ini dapat menjadi contoh/rujukan karena sudah ada beberapa instansi yang menduplikasinya, lalu kriteria terakhir keberlanjutan untuk kedepan inovasi ini akan tetap dipertahankan karena mendapat dukungan dari berbagai stakeholder. Saran yang dapat diberikan adalah lebih menggalakan sosialisasi agar drive-thru ini bisa lebih berkembang dan dimanfaatkan oleh lebih banyak orang.    Kata kunci : Inovasi Layanan, Drive Thru Perpustakaan, Budaya Literasi   The library's drive-thru service innovation is a service created by the Library and Archives Office of East Java Province. This drive-thru service innovation is in the form of a counter to serve the needs of visitors without having to get off the vehicle. This innovation aims to facilitate service to users in the hope that it can improve literacy culture. The purpose of this study is to describe the drive-thru service innovation in the Department of Library and Archives of East Java Province. The focus of this research is the Innovation Criteria according to the Regulation of the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (PermenPANRB) number 3 of 2018 covering 5 variables consisting of novelty, effectiveness, benefit, transferbility, and sustainability. This type of research is a descriptive type with a qualitative approach. For data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was data collection, data reduction, data presentation, presentation and conclusion drawing. The research results show that drive-thru service innovation has advantages and disadvantages. The novelty criterion indicates that drive-thru innovation is a new invention and offers a new way of serving visitors through the counter. . For the effective criteria, the purpose of creating a drive-thru is to make it easier for users to fulfill it, but to improve literacy culture has not been achieved. For useful criteria, it can provide benefits for the community and for the agencies that implement them. If this innovation can be replicated, it can be used as an example / reference because there are already several agencies that duplicate it. Then the last criteria for sustainability for the future of this innovation will be maintained because it has the support of various stakeholders. Suggestions that can be given are to promote more socialization so that this drive-thru can be more developed and utilized by more people. This study aims to describe Reyog Ponorogo from the historical aspect, the negative stigma that has accompanied its development, and local wisdom that spreads to all its components. This problem is studied using a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews with data collection tools is the researcher himself as a key instrument. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analytical with the process of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings of this study are as follows; (1) Reyog Obyog is an important and inseparable part of Reyog Ponorogo. In fact, it is very possible that Reyog Obyog is the origin of the Reyog Ponorogo which has developed and is known to the public today; (2) Reyog Obyog performance model which tends to be free, not bound by standards, is performed in the audience and is predominantly filled with entertainment, in its development various negative stigmas have emerged in the community, namely eroticism, drunkenness, and mystical performance rituals; (3) The Reyog Obyog has a great value in the form of a noble life guidance which is strategic enough to be used as a medium for building civilization.

The Arab Spring

This study aim to explain phenomenon of Arab spring that occurred in Syria and describing the triggering factors of conflict Syria and the analysis of Alawie group in Syria. The type of this study uses a qualitative approach with the literature study method, because the data collection techniques used make books and documents related to the Arab spring in Syria as a reference frame, as well as some data from a valid website. Data analysis techniques through three components, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions in which data verification is also accompanied by triangulation of data sources. The results showed that the phenomenon of Arab spring that occurred in Syria converged on inter-ethnic conflict that occurred between the Sunni-Alawie, then triggered by the phenomenon of Arab spring that spread in the Middle East.

This study aims to reveal the character of one of the main characters, Honami in the Holy Mother novel. The data source in this study is the Holy Mother novel wrote by Japanese author Akiyoshi Rikako,which has been published in Indonesia in 2016. The technique used for data collection in this study is library techniques. The method usedin conducting this research was the psychoanalysis method which was first put forward by Sigmund Freud. The results showed that based on psychoanalytic studies, the main character of the novel,a woman namedHonami, showed that the Id aspectinfluences all of herthoughts and actions. This was triggered by various events, namely herown misfortune which had many miscarriages and had a disease that made it difficult for herto get pregnant, and Kaoru's existence that changed herlife to became more meaningful. The emergence of fear and concern for her daughter because of the successive killings that struck a small child in the city where she lived, making her falsify and obscure the fact that Makoto, wascommitted murder to protect her daughter. The results also showed thatthe personality of the main character, Honami, is dominated by an element of the Egopersonality that defeats the Superego.

The purpose of this study is to describe the quality of the language available in the novel teenager "D'Angel Princess" by Luna Torashyngu. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Data in this study Various styles on the novel teenagers "D'Angel Princess" by Luna Torashyngu. Documentation technique is used in the data collection technigue. Data analysis technique in this research is done through steps, that is: (1) reading novelteenlit "Angel Angel" by Luna Torashyngu (2) hiding data, (3) classifying data, (4) analyzing data, and (5) conclude. Test the validity of the data is a credibility test conducted by increasing persistence with the supervisor during the process, and discussion with colleagues. The results found in the novel D'Angel Princess by Luna Torashyngu in slang and not used to separate the characteristics of the teen novel. Then the word denotation and author connotation to express and convince the compiler readers convey narration and description in the story, said Science used as a means to monetize a novel theme with a scientific theme, the words used to sort out teenage characters who look slang. The use of sentences is used to describe the main character in the sentence Usage. The author's written sentence contains descriptions and narrations to make the story more interesting and easy to understand. Comment topic sentence  gives a beautiful impression or a beautiful comment on the characters. Use of minor sentences is used  to give challenge and sincerity to what people say so that readers feel confidence. This research paper analyzed the ego defense mechanism by Sigmund Freud that are found in the main character of “Fight Club“ novel. The author of novel is Chuck Palahniuk in 1996. This research applied qualitative study, and the data are derived from the novel. The researcher focuses on causes of defense mechanism, the ego defense mechanism that the main character experienced and the effect that the main character got. The researcher found that anxiety is the cause why defense mechanism of the main character can active. The main character also applied ego defense mechanism namely displacement and reaction formation. And the effect for the main character is he becomes more bravely and easier to accept the reality.             The ego defense mechanism is an unconscious psychological process that helps a person overcome anxiety due to a stressful internal or external  environment. The defense mechanism finds its origin in Freud's structural theory of mind, which divides the human mind into three parts: id, ego, and superego. The interaction of the ego and superego gives rise to morality, guilty, and a conscience.
