Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is one of the diseases that is currently an environmental health problem. Cases are increasing and spreading more widely. This is coupled with the movement of mobility and population density in an area. The method used is a quantitative descriptive research study to get an overview and information about health conditions related to Dengue Fever. The results obtained are the high rate of spread of DHF in the rainy season. The conclusion of the prevalence of existing health problems is the magnitude of the DHF distribution rate of 25%.

Abstract   The number of cases of DHF in Indonesia from year to year tends to increase and the area of spread is increasingly widespread. The incidence of DHF in the city of Semarang over the past 10 years (2008-2017) experienced fluctuations. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that correlated with data on DHF incidents in Semarang City in 2008-2017. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with correlation study by using a type of time series analysis design. Data analysis was performed in univariate, bivariate by using Spearman correlation test, and multivariate by using Multiple Linear Regression test. The results showed that rainfall (r = 0.201; p = 0.028) and population density (r = -0.761; p = 0,000) correlated with DHF incidence data. Air temperature (r = -0,150; p = 0,103) and air humidity (r = 0,171; p = 0,062) did not correlate with DHF incident data. Rainfall, air temperature, air humidity, and population density had an effect of 62.8% on DHF incident data and the most influential factor is air humidity. The conclusion of this study is that rainfall and population density correlate with DHF incidence data, the most influential factor on DHF incidence data is air humidity.

Covid-19 is a deadly infectious disease with a fast transmission rate in a short time. The incidence of Covid-19 is caused by various factors, one of which is the demographic factor of an area. In 2020, positive Confirmation Cases in Magelang Regency were ranked the second highest in Central Java Province with 4418 cases. . This type of quantitative descriptive research with an ecological study design uses a spatial approach with a sub-district analysis unit. The sample in the study was all new cases of positive confirmation of Covid-19 in the next episode in December 2020 by utilizing secondary data on the official website of the Magelang Regency government. The analysis used is correlation and regression analysis between variables, while the mapping of cases uses an overlay technique using QGIS 3.10 software. The results showed a strong relationship between variables by 54% and from the results of spatial mapping showed the highest cases occurred in the third week with 790 cases and the two highest sub-districts were sub-districts with population density above 1900 people/km2, namely Mertoyudan District and Mungkid District. The conclusion of the study is that the distribution of the Covid-19 television program in Magelang Regency in December 2020 is influenced by the level of population density. Research advice is that stakeholders' attention is needed for areas with high density levels in handling Covid-19 in Magelang Regency.

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a leading cause of hospitalization and death among children. Indonesia is one of those countries categorized by World Health Organization (WHO) as hyperendemicity with four serotypes circulating in urban area. Sociodemographic factors are considered as factors affecting DHF in Indonesia. This study used secondary data downloaded from Province Health Database 2010 of Health Ministry Republic of Indonesia to determine correlation between three sociodemographic factors to DHF incidence. This study used quantitative descriptive correlational methods. Results showed the selected two sociodemographic factors had a linear impact on DHF incidence. Multiple regression multivariate analysis showed least correlation between DHF incidence and three selected sociodemographic factors. However, the univariate regression analysis showed that population density and poverty had significant correlation to DHF, respectively the population density r(4) = 0.843, p value < 0.05 and poverty r(4) = 0.897, p value < 0.05. Variable of age under 15 years old did not have any positive correlation to DHF. It is expected this study may have contribution to DHF prevention programs by helping public health practitioners develop more strategies with respect to the sociodemographic factors.
