Abstract. This study was to determine the relationship between translation, interpretation, and extrapolation abilities on the level of learning achievement of elementary school students on Science subject matter. Meanwhile, the research method is descriptive quantitative. Data collection techniques used tests of understanding the concepts of translation, interpretation, and extrapolation with test techniques, and student learning achievement with secondary data in the form of documents owned by the classroom teacher. The data analysis technique uses the product-moment and regression test. Based on the research results it can be seen that; (1) Correlation between translation skills and the level of achievement in science learning of grade 5 students with rxy1 = 0.231 at a significance level of 0.057. The level of significance is satisfactory. (2) Correlation between the interpretation ability and the level of science learning achievement of grade 5 students with rxy1 = 0.401 at a significance level of 0.002. The level of significance is satisfactory. (3) Correlation between extrapolation ability and science learning achievement level of 5th-grade students with rxy1 = 420 at a significance level of 0.001. its level of significance is very satisfying. (4) Correlation between the ability of translation, interpretation, and extrapolation and the level of science learning achievement of grade 5 students with rxy123 = 0.470, F = 4.154 with df = 3: 44 at a significance level of 0.001. its level of significance is very satisfying.

Natural science is one of the subjects contained in the elementary or elementary level curriculum. In line with the learning of natural science in elementary school, learning natural science is one of the subjects that is still considered difficult by. In science learning there are several obstacles, namely the low student learning achievement, in the learning process in the classroom still using conventional learning models only with lectures and centered on textbooks only, there is no group discussion students tend to be passive and the teacher becomes the center of the learning process, so that students in science learning in the classroom feels boring and less challenging so students are less active in class. Based on the problem of difficulties in the learning process, the application of the power of cooperative tipe the power of two expected to be able to improve student learning achievement on magnetic material of class IV SDN Cililitan. The study uses quantitative research methods with experimental research methods using quasi-external design with nonequivalent control group design. The study was conducted at SDN Cililitan with a population of eighteen students by using a saturated sample that divides students into two classes, namely the control class of ten students and the experimental class of ten students. Data collection techniques were performed using pretest and posttest tests and the data were analyzed using SPSS version 16.

This study aims to improve the learning achievement of elementary school students. Second semester students majoring in elementary school teacher education (PGSD) FIP UNP Padang were involved as research subjects. As many as 24 students were given science learning by using the Problem Based Learning model. Subjects/samples of the study were given learning actions in the lectures of the basic concepts of Natural Sciences. Data obtained after the study were analyzed with descriptive statistics. This research was a classroom action research and was carried out for two cycles. The research findings show the results that an increase in student learning achievement with an average achievement score in cycle one of 76.28 and an average score in the second cycle of 88.46. An increase in score of 86.75. The findings can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model is effective in improving student learning achievement rather than independent learning. Thus the science learning model Problem Based Learning can be used as an alternative model to improve student achievement in the digestive system material.

This study aims to describe the way to apply contextual teaching and learning approach on natural science learning of 6th-grade students of Pontianak Selatan 14 State Elementary School. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. The subjects of this study were researcher, teacher, and all of 6th-grade students of Pontianak Selatan 14 State Elementary School totaling 34 students. Data collection technique which used in this study are two techniques; they are direct observation technique and documents analyze. Instruments which used in this study are direct observation sheet and documents. Based on data analyze obtained, learning planning that uses the contextual teaching and learning approach needs to attention about the continuity between the learning material with the student’s experience in real life and the determination of efficient time allocation. The steps for implementing the contextual teaching and learning approach to natural science learning in Pontianak Selatan 14 State Elementary School have generally been well implemented and have an impact on the mastery of the material even though it has not been maximally individual.

The study aims at producing the valid, practical, interactive and potential multimedia to teach science to students achievement at the fifth grade elementary school in Lubuklinggau. The procedure of the study was through Rowntree model including three steps, namely planning, developing and evaluation.  The evaluation stepnm used was Tessmer formative evaluation. The result of the material, media and design validation showed that interactive multimedia was valid. In one-to-one test,  the students respond positively toward the interactive multimedia. In tryout step on the small group, it categorized as practical. In the field test, it was categorised as medium with score 79,11. It can be concluded that interactive multimedia was developed in the study was valid,  practical and potential on students science learning achievement at the Elementary School. Keywords : Interactive Multimedia, Science Learning

The research was aimed at determining the significant correlation between the interpersonal intelligence and the social science learning achievement of the fifth-grade students in Elementary School of Gugus IV Abiansemal in the academic year 2017/2018. The type of this research was ex-post facto using asymmetric correlation. The population of this research was the fifth-grade students of Elementary School Gugus IV Abiansemal in the academic year 2017/2018 which consisted of 145 students.  The sample was decided by the proportional random sampling technique in which the significance level was 5% and 106 students were obtained from the population. The data collection was conducted through the documentation of students’ learning achievement in social science and the questionnaire about the students’ interpersonal intelligence. The prerequisite test used the normality test of data distribution. After conducting prerequisite test,  the hypothesis test using correlation analysis Product Moment was carried out. Based on the analysis result, it was obtained that = 0,484. In the significance level of 5% in which n = 106, it was obtained that  = 0,195. As >  = 0,484 > 0,195, it can be mentioned that  stating that there is no significant correlation between the interpersonal intelligence and the social science learning achievement in the fifth-grade in Elementary School Gugus IV Abiansemal in the academic year 2017/2018 was rejected and  was accepted. It can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between the interpersonal intelligence and the social science learning achievement of the fifth-grade students in Elementary School Gugus IV Abiansemal in the academic year 2017/2018. For the result obtained the positive scatterplot of positive correlation, it can be stated that the higher interpersonal intelligence that the students have, the higher social science learning achievement that they will obtain

This study aimed at investigating the effect of inquiry learning model with scaffolding techniques toward ability of science literacy and natural science learning achievement. The design used in this study was using basic pattern Single Factorial Independent Group Design with quasi-experiment type. The sample used was 58 students. The data collected were ability of science literacy and naural science learning achievement. The data were analyzed by using MANOVA used SPSS 17.00 for windows. Research results showed that: First, the ability of science literacy students who were taught by using inquiry learning model with scaffolding techniques was significantly better than students who were taught by using conventional model (F = 19,982; p < 0.05). Second, the natural science achievement of students who were taught by using inquiry learning model with scaffolding techniques was significantly better than students who were taught by using conventional model (F = 13,268; p < 0.05). Third, simultaneously, the ability of science literacy and natural science learning achievement between students who were taught by using inquiry model with scaffolding techniques was significantly better than students who were taught by using conventional model.
