The dynamic changes in all life spheres and their influence on modern society impose the need of a new type of education that can focus not only on students’ academic achievements, but also to develop their personal qualities and socialisation. In this case emotional intelligence and social abilities are key skills in the 21st century and their development on students will support their personal growth, well-being, adaptation and realisation of the rapidly changing world. Socio-emotional studies are a part of the educational programs in many countries. In recent years it has also gained wide popularity in Bulgaria, but still the emphasis in our educational system to monitor the educational progress of students and their mastery of their academic knowledge. The present survey’s aim is to analyse the attitude of both students and parents towards socio-emotional studies at school, integrated in regular classes through the innovative subject ,,Me and the others“ in elementary state, to outline the prospects and benefits of socio-emotional teaching. The analysis of the obtained results revealed a positive attitude and a high level of interest of the respondents towards the development of emotional intelligence and social skills at school.

The aim of the current study is to look for theoretically and empirically grounded proof for the correlation between aspirations – extrinsic and intrinsic- determining the motivation – and the psychological wellbeing of adolescents in 11th grade. Materialistic orientation is expressed in the preferences of extrinsic goals such as fame, wealth and image, while the intrinsic aspirations are related to preferences of aspirations for personal growth, personal relationships and community contribution. High level of psychological wellbeing is measured through the six elements from K. Ryff’s definition: self-acceptance, positive interaction with others, autonomy, managing of environment, meaning and personal growth. The research includes a group of 50 students in two Bulgarian high schools.

Background: Among all aspects of nursing care, the spiritual one is the issue that has received little attention. Having spiritual wellbeing (SWB) is a necessity to provide appropriate spiritual care. In addition to, the Emotional intelligence (EI) is one of the most important factors in social and professional success and is essential for effective nursing practice. Therefore, aim of study was evaluating the Relationship between SWB and EI among nursing students. Methods: The sample of this descriptive-analytic study consisted of 136 nursing students studying at Bam University of Medical Sciences selected by convenience sampling method. The Bradberry and Greaves 28-item EI scale, Palutzian and Ellison SWB Scale were used to assess the total score of EI and SWB. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation), Pearson correlation coefficient, independent t-test and one-way ANOVA with SPSS v18. Results: The mean score of SWB and EI were 97.1±11.56 and 123.4 + 123.6, respectively. The mean score dimensions of SWB include (religious wellbeing 47.9±6.6, existential wellbeing 49.1±5.7) and dimensions EI: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management were 27.2 3 3.2, 36.2 2 5.4, 25.1 + 3.5 and 35.1 + 4.5, respectively. The majority of students have reported moderate level SWB and high level of emotional intelligence. The factors influencing their level of SWB were academic semester and age (p<0.05). Conclusion: Although the level of students' EI and SWB were at a desirable level in this study, due to the nature of nursing and the interaction between nurses and patients, providing a suitable learning environment for the development of EI is essential. Therefore, it is suggested that nursing policymakers should develop appropriate educational programs for nurses and provide curriculum for students to promote their knowledge and skills. The modern world needs a new type of leader who develops a vision of the future for his / her followers and encourages them to be ready for it. These leaders ensure changes, they are not focused that much on the behavior of their followers / subordinates and on controlling their behavior. On the contrary, they are focused on the development of initiative and support becoming the servants of those they have to lead. The concept of servant l eadership is derived from the ideas of Robert K. Greenleaf. As R. Greenleaf states, it all starts with a natural urge – the desire to serve. The motto of this thought is "A good leader is primarily a servant". The task of the leader is to achieve common goals by ensuring the well-being of followers and subordinates. Servant leadership is an attempt to become better, to become the person others would gladly follow. Such an idealistic vision of a leader as a servant is fruitful and is paid off even in a very competitive business world. A servant leader builds an organized and creative team, and this type of leadership involves the development of organizational culture which demonstrates a high level of trust. Being a servant leader means to help people overcome obstacles and get the tools and resources they need to perform better; to be an example; to facilitate the work of others; to be willing to do what others do. This model of leadership implies a "flattening" of hierarchies: a boss is a friend who listens to those who are with him/her rather than a person who decides what is best for them. This type of leadership has the powerful potential in today’s globalized world. The article aims to analyze the concept of servant leadership. The authors have used an interpretive research paradigm and multidisciplinary analysis.

Abstract The Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) is a new type of regional cooperation mechanism in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS). It was officially co-founded by six Lancang-Mekong countries in 2016. Water resources cooperation is the flagship field of the LMC. The goal of this article is to introduce comprehensively the LMC and to illustrate why it can be regarded as a new choice for regional water resources cooperation in the GMS. This paper first reviews the background to LMC's foundation, and then introduces the structural framework, operating mechanism and recent advances of the LMC. It will then analyze the deficiencies of the present water resources cooperation mechanisms in the GMS and the comparative advantages of water resources cooperation under LMC. Finally, some suggestions were given to improve and reinforce water resources cooperation under the LMC. This research concludes that the LMC is more suitable for the actual needs and objective reality of Lancang-Mekong countries owing to its high-level and all-round regional cooperation mechanism. It was established jointly by all riparian states, with a shared vision to enhance the well-being of six countries' people, and works to narrow the development gap among regional countries.

The Smart City concept includes a fairly wide range of characteristics of this new phenomenon for modern society. The main goal of creating smart cities is the comfortable living in them of people with a high level of well-being. The quality of living conditions for people in smart cities directly depends on how clean their natural environment is. The article examines the features of the development of the ecological vector of creating cities with maximum amenities for residents. Possible risks associated with negligence towards objects of animate and inanimate nature are listed, ways of high-quality environmental protection of cities of the future are outlined.

The study investigated the influence of emotional intelligence on psychological well being of undergraduates as well as determined influence of demographic variables on psychological well being of undergraduates. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. The sample consisted of 480 undergraduates selected from six selected faculties out of the thirteen Faculties in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, using convenience sampling technique. Two adapted instruments titled “Ryff’s Scale of Psychological Well-Being (RSP)” and “Questionnaire on Students’ Emotional Intelligence (QSEI)” were used to collect information from the students. The reliability tests of the instruments used were Spearman Brown Coefficients and Spearman Brown Split-half reliability tests for RSP yielded results of 0.81 and 0.90 while that, of QSEI had 0.85 and 0.80. Descriptive statistics and chi-square statistics were employed to analyse the data. The results showed that 95% of the undergraduates had high level of psychological well being. There was a significant influence of levels of emotional intelligence on psychological well being of undergraduates (χ2 = 0. 577 at p < 0.05). Furthermore, the results showed a significant influence of each of sex (χ2 = 0. 786; p < 0.05) and place of residence (χ2 = 0.624 at p = < 0.05) on psychological well being of undergraduates. However, there was no significant influence of age range on psychological well being of undergraduates (χ2 = 0. 365; p > 0.05). It was concluded that most undergraduates possessed high level of emotional intelligence and that had predisposed to high psychological well being.

Determining what factors influence the psychological well-being of undergraduate university students may provide valuable information to inform the development of intervention programs and targeted learning activities. The objective of this study was to investigate the correlation between psychological well-being in university students and their self-reported learning styles and methodologies, social skills, emotional intelligence, anxiety, empathy and self-concept. The final sample consisted of 149 Spanish university students, with an average age of 21.59 years (SD = 4.64). Psychological well-being dimensions, along with learning style and methodology preferences, social skills, level of social responsibility, emotional intelligence, state and trait anxiety, empathy and levels of self-concept were measured using a series of validated self-report scales. The results indicate that the total variance explained by the university students’ psychological well-being factors were as follows: i) self-acceptance dimension (R2 = 0.586, F(6,99) = 23.335, p < 0.001); ii) positive relationships dimension (R2 = 0.520, F(6,99) = 17.874, p < 0.001); iii) autonomy dimension (R2 = 0.313, F(4,101) = 11.525, p < 0.001); iv) environmental mastery dimension (R2 = 0.489, F(4,101) = 24.139, p < 0.001); v) personal growth dimension (R2 = 0.354, F(4,101) = 13.838, p < 0.001); and vi) purpose-in-life dimension (R2 = 0.439, F(4,101) = 19.786, p < 0.001). The study findings may be used to inform new educational policies and interventions aimed at improving the psychological well-being of university students in the international context.

Teachers, as individuals outside the classroom, deals with their problems yet are still expected to display desirable dispositions during student interaction. Thus, the strategy for regulating thoughts and emotions is vital for effective teaching. This study aims to measure Filipino teachers' problem compartmentalization ability, their level of emotional intelligence, and teaching performance, mainly when they experienced personal issues. It also seeks to determine the relationship among variables. Validated researcher-made and adopted instruments were administered to the 140 teachers from different public schools in the Cebu province, Philippines. The tools were subjected to validity and reliability tests. The gathered data were analyzed using the weighted mean and Spearman rho coefficient. Findings revealed that Filipino teachers have a high ability to compartmentalize their problems. Also, they have a high level of perceiving, understanding, managing, and using their emotions. They also display positive disposition when they are in the classroom showing their good performance despite their personal issues. Statistically, Filipino teachers' emotional intelligence and their problem compartmentalization ability were positively and significantly correlated to their teaching performance. Hence these approaches may be included by the school leaders in teachers' training for the improvement of their well-being.

Well-being is a dynamic concept that includes subjective, social, and psychological dimensions as well as health-related behaviors. It is often thought of as one of the hallmarks of the liberal arts experience, resulting from educational encounters that both guide students in the search for meaning and direction in life and help them realize their true potential. Research of students’ well-being is conducted in various countries, but it is the first study conducted in Georgia. The objectives of the studies were to test hypothesis, that because of social, political and economic conditions, and frequent reforms in educational system of Georgia, the majority of the students have high level of depression, low level of well-being, that is reflected on their academic performance. Within the framework of the research 252 students from wide variety of disciplines, of mean age 21 were surveyed. The study methods are Ryff well-being inventory which consists of series of statements reflecting the six areas of psychological well-being, combination with Coping Inventory for Stressful Situation (CISS), from Endler & Parker and, Kucher Adolescent depression scale (KADS-6).The Results of the study show, that majority of students have middle level of well-being, do not have depression and average self-evaluated academic performance. The research also revealed that the students, who have medium or high level of academic performance, have high index of well-being, purpose of life and personal growth on scale. Also, those students who carry task oriented coping strategy, have high index of well-being, and personal growth on the scale. But the students, who carry avoidance coping strategy, have high level of depression. Key words: academic performance, coping, depression, personal growth, purpose of life, student, well-being.

Introduction: in the present paper, we establish a connection between psychological well-being and occupational orientation of an individual and build a complete, ordered and comprehensive picture to measure the profiles of psychological well-being of an individual. Aim: to build a three-factor basic model and optimize the corresponding basic measurement technique for psychological well-being of an individual. Methods: systembased modeling of information about the psychological well-being of an individual. The hypothesis of the study: the psychological well-being of an individual is associated with their occupational orientation. The study pursues the following research tasks: 1) to build a three-factor basic model for psychological well-being and establish its connection with the occupational orientation of an individual; 2) to use a basic approach when designing a technique to measure the psychological well-being of an individual and to optimize the appropriate procedure for its application in psychodiagnostic practice; 3) to build a complete, ordered and comprehensive picture to assess the profiles of psychological well-being of an individual; 4) to determine the dominant profile of the psychological wellbeing of VIPE FSIN Russia cadets and penitentiary staff. Results: the results of our study help to optimize the measurement of psychological well-being of an individual so as to “simplify” its diagnostic procedure. The article describes the concept of “occupational well-being” and provides a complete picture consisting of 64 hexagram profiles of the psychological well-being of an individual. Conclusions: the psychodiagnostic research has shown that the hexagram profiles of psychological well-being in cadets and penitentiary staff are different. VIPE FSIN cadets have four dominant types (at a high and very high level), these are “Positive relations with others”, “Personal growth”, “Purpose in life” and “Autonomy” with appropriate internal self-esteem. “Self-acceptance” and “Environmental mastery” were not observed in cadets at all (or were observed at a low level). There are four dominant types (at a high and very high level) among penitentiary staff, these are “Positive relations with others”, “Self-acceptance”, “Environmental mastery”, and “Purpose in life”; “Personal growth” and “Autonomy” were manifested at a low level.
