The key contradictions in the transformation of the social infrastructure of rural areas are that the necessary transformation requires significant financial investments, and funding flows are invariably small. In addition, the specifics of rural areas are that the transformation being implemented requires significant investments, but the degree of financing is still small. And there are also constant discussions between the importance of using effective resources and the simultaneous territorial spread of the rural population, between the importance of system maintenance of society and the formation of specialization of rural economic entities and social structures. Currently, it is not possible to improve the conditions and management in rural areas without trained professional personnel. Solving the difficulties of securing young people in the village, it is necessary to develop and carry out a set of measures to increase quality indicators and attractiveness.

Abstract Introduction. Dependence of the rural areas condition on the level of social infrastructure determines necessitates its definition as a priority direction of support from the state. Analysis of the current state of scientific research allows to substantiate the relevance of determining the social infrastructure role in shaping the demographic potential of region rural areas. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the social infrastructure role in shaping the demographic potential of rural areas in the region. Results. The implementation effectiveness of the Law of Ukraine «On the priority of social development of the village and agro-industrial complex in the national economy» is considered. The similarity of the motives between the rural population and the state is determined regarding the invariability of the way of life in the countryside. The social infrastructure development in rural areas makes the transition of the agricultural segment to market conditions cheaper. The ineffectiveness of the normative support for the Ukrainian village development is proved, which is confirmed by the lack of its proper institutional form or inadequate implementation. Measures to provide rural settlements with the necessary infrastructure are presented developed by experts of the National Institute for Strategic Studies. It is argued that improving the village's social infrastructure efficiency will inevitably affect the living standards of the rural population and will help to bring the living conditions in the countryside closer to urban standards. Conclusions. A full and highly organized social infrastructure, along with the availability of high-paying jobs, is an indispensable condition for the formation and development of demographic potential. Due to the current critical state of the social sphere of the village, and beyond it, and other aspects of rural life, it is necessary to implement measures for the development of social infrastructure with appropriate institutional support. Key words: regional policy, social infrastructure, resource potential, demographic potential, rural areas.

In the Soviet literature on tbc, especially in recent years, there has been an extensive discussion of the clinical features of the course of tbc in the countryside. The indisputable position is that TB infection of the rural population has been widespread in the distant past. This is confirmed by old surveys of the rural population of the 1990s, by the large number of TB infections found in remote areas of the Union during expeditionary surveys, and by the experience and observations of all doctors who have lived and worked in rural areas for a long time.

Community social problems such as gambling, drinking, drug abuse, which is hereinafter referred to as social disease, are a problem that will be continuously faced in big cities and in areas such as rural areas. These social ills are generally experienced by young people (productive age). This will certainly be a new obstacle for the progress of a nation. Young people who are in the productive age group will spend a lot of time and opportunity when they are involved in the social ills of the community. Therefore we need joint steps from the central government, regional government, private sector, community, family and others to find solutions to problems that occur. Community service activities in Jati Rejo Village, Pagar Merbau Sub-District, Deli Serdang Regency are intended to find out the development of social conditions in the village and provide legal counseling about community social ills to communities in Jati Rejo village with the hope that the community will be more introspective and aware not to be involved in various activities that are against the law.

The article defines rural territories as a system of interrelated economic, social and environmental elements in which agricultural production, a specific type of settlement and the way of life of the population play a systematizing role. The article deals with the "shocks" that the Russian village experienced in the XX century and their results in the form of the collapse of the rural economy, the features of employment and income generation, and the related economic and social problems of the country. The lack of balance in the development of rural areas poses a threat not only to their sustainability, but also to the entire country as a whole in the form of reduced food security, reduced use of existing potential, including land. It also shows a growing imbalance in the social development of cities and villages: in wages, in the functioning of social infrastructure, in training and employment. The balance of spatial development is considered as a dynamic process aimed at ensuring its sustainability, when the entire existing potential of the village is used for the benefit of society. The main link that does not allow for the balanced development of rural areas is the existence of "high prices" in the exchange between the city and the village. The main functions in ensuring a balanced development of rural territories by management levels are shown. As the main lever in overcoming existing disparities in the development of cities and villages, the system of targeted support for depressed territories is considered in accordance with the following principles: cost self-sufficiency, competitiveness of planned products and increasing the technical level of production.

The article analyses the accessibility of medical facilities in rural areas of modern Russia and the specifics of their organization and development. The authors reveal causes why rural residents have much less opportunities to seek quality medical care than urban ones, what leads to a disparity between the inhabitants of the city and the village. The thesis is substantiated that state programmes that should make health services accessible to the rural population to a greater extent do not cope with the task at hand. An attempt is made to highlight the public’s response to the existing disparity in the health services of the villagers compared to urban dwellers. Such a reaction can be considered an outflow of people from rural areas, and an increase in self-medication among rural people as a result of the difficulty in obtaining health services. The decrease in the number of treatment facilities in rural areas leads to a deterioration in the medicine situation in rural areas. That, according to the authors of the article, justifies the need to study the issues associated with the provision of medical care to the rural population.

The article presents the results of the sociological survey of the young rural population of the Republic of Kalmykia on the problems of migration. The study analyzes the main goals and directions of the migration of young people. The results of the survey showed that the basic factors of the migration from rural areas are low level salaries, lack of work places, undeveloped infrastructure. The low level of social conditions is also one of the factors of migration of young people. The majority of the respondents plan to live in metropolises of Russia. No one of the respondents wants to live in a rural area. Thus, the analysis of the survey results showed that for young rural population the main channel for mobility is migration. It is important to note that rural area settlements have low level of attractiveness and prestige among contemporary young people which is due to low quality and level of life and the lack of preconditions for implementing life plans and strategies of the young people of the region.
