The process of learning grammar is quite time-consuming. Poor grammar is often the reason that prevents people from communicating freely and competently in a foreign language. Definitely, some textbooks offer a sufficient number of grammar exercises, but, as a rule, these exercises are not aimed at communication. Therefore, it is quite natural that at the beginning of the formation of grammar skills, students do not have sufficient linguistic competence and psychological readiness for full-fledged foreign language communication. Consequently, the task of teachers is to create such conditions in the educational process where students are involved in communication step by step, with a gradual increase in psychological stress and linguistic load, at the same time including grammar tasks in the learning process. Thus, the relevance of this article is determined by the increased requirements for the quality of teaching a foreign language with a view to earlier communication and the undeveloped issues related to the problem of developing and improving grammatical skills.

Content of teaching foreign languages undergoes inevitable changes in connection with introduction of information and communication technologies. Education as an integral part of life of society has to match the criteria providing high-quality teaching process, at the same time the project method allows to execute the social order of society in more practice oriented approach to teaching. The place of grammar studying in the course of teaching foreign languages was not al-ways unambiguous: there were cases when it was under or overestimated in educational process. However, it is worth mentioning that without well formed grammatical skills of foreign language communication any of the most modern information and communication technologies are not capable to yield qualitative result. We consider a problem of adequate use of Internet projects for university students’ grammatical skills formation as well as an issue of the corresponding content of teaching grammar. Teaching foreign language to students of both linguistic university and other higher educational institutes is directed to formation of all components of foreign language com-municative competence. Project activity, as well as based on it educational Internet projects allow to bring this process of teaching to higher qualitative level. We carry out and develop: a) the analysis of the scientific works devoted to the concept “grammar” and its role in the history; b) the analysis of the researches devoted to selection of subject contents for grammatical skills formation of the students’ speech; c) the author’s subject contents of teaching grammar students of linguistic universities on the basis of implementation of foreign language Internet projects.

In this article, methodological principles and discourse are investigated within the framework of an interdisciplinary pragmasynergetic approach. We are talking about the process of self-organization of educational-pedagogical discourse, the formation of its structure and shaping of the electronic courses as means of optimizing the educational process in order to create conditions for quality teaching. This approach is also important because at present there is the problem of preserving the quality of knowledge while implementing intensive electronic methods of mastering foreign language communication skills. In response to the needs of modern society, a new scientific paradigm is being formed. In particular, in linguistics and linguodidactics, the direction is developing that studies the problems of language, text, discourse combining it with the ideas of synergetics – the theory of self-organization of complex systems. The postulates of pragmalinguistics largely correspond to synergetic principles and indicate the need to integrate these sciences. The significance of the article lies in the fact that the pragmasynergetic interpretation of educational-pedagogical discourse contributes to the development of the study of the structure of discourse as an integral dynamic system.

Modern educational process is getting more and more interactive which presupposes the employment of brand new textbooks and the most difficult to be written are manuals for studying foreign languages. Over the past decades interest in learning languages in Russia might be justified by globalization (the consequence of which is the phenomenon of interactivity) that results in developing new demands to foreign language textbooks among which the primary ones are to be communicative, situational, problemsolving, and (relatively) easy to obtain the form and content of a foreign language. More complex demands to a manual in general and to a foreign language textbook in particular consider it to be the product of conceptual system, the method of achieving educational goals, and the control lever of managing the learning process. Meanwhile, as the monitoring of the modern instructional materials demonstrates there is an obvious deficit of foreign language textbooks and manuals that could completely satisfy the demands declared and – which is even more important – could stimulate the development of the meaningful attitude to the study of a foreign language. This gives us reason to consider the topic chosen for the paper to be an issue of concern and urgency. Without criticizing or questioning the authoritative opinions over the quality of the current foreign language textbooks the author makes an attempt to define the essence of a textbook, to revise the demands to it and to describe the potential challenges of its writing.

Our experience of working with students of a transport (technical) university shows that many of them have serious problems in learning foreign languages. Students will not be able to realize their potential in future professional activities, involving foreign-language partners, since poor knowledge of a foreign language prevents them from establishing business contacts. The object of our research was linguistic competence as the basis for developing a communicative competence. Having analysed the existing linguistic and methodological literature, the educational process including learning English and French as a FL2 and the reasons for the students’ poor knowledge of foreign languages, we came to the conclusion that the problem does not lie solely with the small number of school hours or poor knowledge obtained at school. The lack of linguistic competence results from the insufficient knowledge acquired from native language studies, it is one of the main reasons for the poor proficiency of students in foreign languages. Students are not familiar with linguistic terminology in their native language, and this fact greatly complicates explanation of the grammar of the studied foreign language. The purpose of this paper is to focus the attention of university teachers on the need to work with students to master Russian and foreign language terminology in the framework of a comparative approach, which is one of the main methods of teaching a foreign language, as it expands the general language awareness and develops the “linguistic flair”of students.
