The resources of large pelagic including tuna (Thunnus sp) in Maluku are quite potential with moderate status and must be utilized optimally. In Tial, the utilizing of these resources uses hand lines; especially fishing line. Tuna hand line is classified as small-scale fisheries which has various problems. One of it is fishing inputs allocation that leads to inefficient. This study in general aims to analyze the hand line tuna fisheries business based on technical and economical efficiency. It was conducted by using survey method in Tial, Central Maluku Regency for 20 units hand line fishermen. Data was analized by Cobb-Douglas production function approach to identify efficient inputs; several financial parameters to determine business feasibility; and CPUE to measure the level of technical productivity. The results show that efficient production factors are fishermen’s fishing experience and fishing frequency. During the four months of observation, all business units made an average profit of Rp 31,199,139 or Rp 458,810.86/trip. R/C and PP parameters show that the business is feasible to be developed; while the largest ROI (135.2%) is in the 18th business unit. Business units that have CPUE >1 are unit 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 9th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th. Based on several technical-economical measurements, the hand line tuna fishery business in Tial is efficient and feasible to be developed

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence production and analyze the efficiency of allocation of the use of production factors on tomato farming conducted in Kapontori District, Buton Regency. Data collection was conducted in January-April 2019 with the survey method. A total of 67 tomato farmers were selected as samples using the simple random sampling method. Data were analyzed using multiple nonlinear regression with Cobb-Douglas production function followed by calculation of price efficiency. The results showed that the area of land, seeds, and fertilizers were factors of production which had a significant effect on tomato production. Tomato farming is on an increasing return to scale scale where increasing use of factors in the production of land, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and labor simultaneously leads to a greater increase in tomato production. Production factor allocation efficiency analysis shows that the use of production factors in land area is not efficient so it needs to be added, the use of seed production factors is not efficient so it needs to be added, and the use of fertilizer production factors is inefficient so it needs to be reduced. Keywords: efficiency; production factors; tomatoes

In Indonesia, about 80% of fishing activities are small-scale and play major role both economically and socially. Previous studies mostly concentrated in Java, while in eastern part of Indonesia the information still scarce and limited. The study was conducted from January to December 2013, describes in detail the gears, fleets and catch dynamics of the small-scale tuna fisheries operating based in Labuhan Lombok Coastal Fishing Port (PPP. Labuhan Lombok). Small-scale tuna fishery in Labuhan Lombok are characterized by the small boats less than 10 GT, operating both troll line and hand line simultaneously, targeting large tuna, skipjack tuna and small tuna. Fishing season starts from April to August and influence by southwest monsoon wind and the presence of middleman as the connector between fishers and the market are the main character of the small-scale fisheries business in this area.

The village economy can increase if the income of the village community can increase, one of the efforts made by the order to increase the income of the rural community is through the Village Owned Enterprise or BUNDES. Nagori Bah Lias is one of the villages that has a village-owned enterprise called BUMNag BAH LIAS, the existence of BUMNAG Bah Lias has improved the economy of Nagori Bah Lias. Through BUMNAG Bah lias, 5 business units have been formed., from the The questionnaire was taken from 30 respondents, then analyzed using regression analysis, the contribution was still relatively small because the business unit was also still on a small scale. The results of the regression analysis show that the effect of BUMNag Bah Lias on ime is only 10.4% if there is an additional unit of labor. Based on the relationship between labor and opinion, it still shows low results, namely only 0.1 because the number of workers in BUMNag Bah Lias is relatively small and based on the coefficient of determination it is found that the effect of labor on BUMNaG Bah Lias is only 1%. From the research results it is suggested that the government invest in the potential of the village to add to other business units and, to socialize to the community the benefits of BUMNag. Thus, it is hoped that the presence of BUMNag Bah Lias will advance the economy of Nagori Bah Lias.

The historical context in which the State Plan for Electrification of Russia (GOELRO) was developed, establishment of the GOELRO Commission, the GOELRO Plan content, the specific features of its implementation, and the role of the plan in the soviet period of Russia’s history are considered. Attention is paid to the electrification plants of other countries and territories of all inhabited continents, and to the participation of states in the electrification of countries and regions with small-scale and agricultural production in the 1920 s. The specific features pertinent to the electrification of the Russian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic are pointed out, namely, low starting conditions (in 1923, the energy consumption per capita in Russia was 100 times lower than that in Norway), its being state-owned in nature and revolutionary in its purpose: to get done with the main upheavals in the country and to shift the national economy for fore efficient production. The role of V.I. Lenin and G.M. Krzhizhanovsky, who were the initiators of the electrification of Russia, is analyzed in detail. A conclusion is drawn about the need to study both the GOELRO Plan itself and the specific features and circumstances of its implementation within the framework of training modern specialists in electrical engineering.

The purpose of this study was to find out the function of cold storage in stabilizing fish prices in Ambon City, analyzing optimal production levels of various types of dominant fish, and analyzing the level of efficiency of utilization of cold storage and auxiliary machinery. This study uses the survey method. Primary data collection through questionnaires is built empirically while secondary data is obtained from several agencies related to this study. The research sample was drawn by exhausting sampling, amounting to 6 cold storage units in Ambon City. The role of cold storage to stabilize fish prices was analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach, while the quantitative techniques used included analysis of optimization of cold storage production with linear programming and analysis of the efficiency of utilization of cold storage. The results of the study show that cold storage has not played a role properly to stabilize fish prices in Ambon City. To achieve optimal use of production factors, the cold storage management needs to reduce the raw material by 24,915.9 kg / month; 7 HOK / month workforce; cold storage storage space capacity of 2.09 kg / month; and demand for flying fish 1,402.6 kg / month, while the use of production factors efficiently (fully utulized) is the capacity of the freezing machine, demand for tuna, skipjack, and cob. The level of technical efficiency of the utilization of cold storage facilities is reached, the total use of installed capacity must be proportional to the capacity used.

Diving as a method of fishing is used worldwide in small-scale fisheries. However, one of the main causes of morbidity and mortality among fishermen is decompression sickness (DCS). We report the case of a 46-year-old male fisherman diver who presented with chronic inguinal pain that radiated to the lower left limb. Living and working in a fishing port in Yucatan, he had a prior history of DCS. A diagnosis of avascular necrosis in the left femoral head secondary to DCS was made via analysis of clinical and radiological findings. The necrosis was surgically resolved by a total hip arthroplasty. Dysbaric osteonecrosis is a more probable diagnosis. In this region fishermen undergo significant decompression stress in their daily fishing efforts. Further studies regarding prevalence of dysbaric osteonecrosis among small-scale fisheries divers are needed. In a community where DCS is endemic and has become an epidemic, as of late, the perception of this health risk remains low. Furthermore, training and decompression technique are lacking among the fishing communities.
