Managing Human Resources is an essential role of a manager. By having highly motivated employees, an organization can achieve its vision by fulfilling its mission using its set values. Therefore, employees’ motivation is an important factor in their performance. This research was conducted at Media Café, by using work motivation (need of achievement, need of affiliation, and need of power) as the independent variable and employees’ performance as the dependent variable. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of the work motivation variables stated above on the performance of Media Café’s employees. This research is descriptive and causal. Data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, simultaneous hypothesis test (F test), the partial hypothesis testing (t-test), and the coefficient of determination. Sampling technique is used Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. Based on questionnaire with 100 respondents, employees’ work motivation and performance were very high.  In the hypothesis testing results, it can be concluded that the work motivation variables consisting of Need for Achievement (X1) and Need for Power (X3) individually had significant influence on performance with 11.2% and 10.73% respectively while Need for Affiliation (X2) had no significant influence on employee performance with 0.06%. Simultaneously, Need for Achievement (X1), Need for Affiliation (X2) and Need for Power (X3) had significant effect on employee performance (Y). In the test results the adjusted coefficient of determination (adjusted R2) obtained a value of 0.196, this means that the influence of work motivation on employee performance was 19.6%, while the remaining 80.4% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation on employee performance PT. Anindya International Partners in Yogyakarta. Research variables include: employee performance variable (Y) as the dependent variable and the variable need for achievement (X1), the variable need for power (X2), the variable need for affiliation (X3) as independent variables. This study used multiple linear regression analysis. The population in this study involves the employees of PT. Anindya International Partners in Yogyakarta. Samples are selected using the method of saturated samples, based on the population that has been described above, then the sample was selected in this study are 62 employees. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and literature study.Based on test results from t-test (linear regression test) partially on the need for achievement variable (X1) of 3.610> t-table = 2.000 and therefore contributes to employee performance variable (Y). In the variable need for power (X2) for 4.489 <t-table = 2.000, which means no effect on employee performance (Y). In the variable need for affiliation (X3) 1.961> t-table = 2.000 means no effect on employee performance (Y). While the F test (simultaneous test) to prove that the variable need for achievement (X1), the variable need for power (X2), the variable need for affiliation (X3), significantly affect employee performance (Y) equal to 39.137%.

Human Resources (HR) is the most vital resource that determines the success of a company. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of discipline and work discipline on employee work performance. The method used is descriptive method with an associative approach. The sampling technique used was proportional random sampling using the method of saturated sampling technique with a sample of 40 respondents. The analysis tool uses validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test, regression test, correlation coefficient test, coefficient of determination test and hypothesis test. The result of this study is that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance by 49.7%. Hypothesis testing is obtained tcount> ttable or (6.131> 2.024), so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted meaning that there is a positive and significant influence between discipline on employee work performance. discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance by 45.4%. Hypothesis testing is obtained tcount> ttable or (5.625> 2.024) so that H0 is rejected and H2 is accepted, meaning that there is a positive and significant influence between discipline on employee work performance. A simultaneous test of work discipline and discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a contribution of 58.2%, while the remaining 41.8% is influenced by other factors. Hypothesis testing obtained the value of Fcount> Ftable or (25.798> 2.860)  g thus Ho is rejected and H3 is accepted. This means that there is a positive and significant effect simultaneously between discipline and work discipline on employee work performance.

The study aims to determine the effect of work stress and work motivation on employee performance. Specifically this study aims to find out how the influence of job stress on employee performance and know how well the influence of work motivation on employee performance, and to know the influence of work stress and work motivation on employee performance at PT. Tirta Mahakam Resources Tbk Samarinda. The method used is quantitative analysis that is by multiple linear regression analysis. The population in this study is the number of permanent employees in the production of PT. Tirta Mahakam Resources Tbk Samarinda in 2017 as many as 792 population. The sample in this research using simple random sampling by using slovin formula technique, so sample taken as many as 266 samples of employees remain part production PT. Tirta Mahakam Resources Tbk Samarinda. The results showed that the value of F arithmetic = 143,844, using the significance limit of 0.05, then obtained the significance value is smaller than 0.05 is 0.000, it means that simultaneously the variable work stress and work motivation significantly influence employee performance. The coefficient of determination (R2) is 0,522 or 52,2%, hence coefficient simultaneously in explaining variation or change of dependent variable (Y) found the influence of free variable 52,2%, while the rest is 47,8%. The result of hypothesis testing (H1) through the calculation results obtained t count value of 15,444 with the significance level of 0.000 results is smaller than 0.05, which means that the hypothesis in this study Ho rejected and Ha accepted. This test statistically proves that work stress has positive and dominant effect to employee performance. The result of hypothesis testing (H2) through the calculation results obtained t count value of 3.215 with the significance of the result of 0.001 is smaller than 0.05, which means that the hypothesis in this study Ho rejected and Ha accepted. This test statistically proves that the motivation has a positive effect on the performance of employees of PT. Tirta Mahakam Resources Tbk Samarinda.

The population in this research are all employees of PT. Catur Mitra Sejati Sentosa, totaling 65 employees. The sample utilized in this research is the entire population of 65 employees, thus it is called a population research. Instrument testing was carried out at PT. Catur Mitra Sejati Sentosa. The validity test used correlation product moment, while the reliability test used Spearman Brown which processed by using SPSS 18.0 for Windows. In the validity test of work communication, there are 9 statements and all are valid. In the validity test of work motivation, there are 5 statements and all are valid. In the validity test of employee performance, there are 9 statements and all are valid. Furthermore, the classical assumption test includes multicollinearity test and heteroscedasticity test. Meanwhile, the hypothesis test in this research applies multiple regression analysis and the coefficient of determination. The results of this research indicate that: (1) Work Communication (X1) has a partially significant influence on the Employee Performance variable (Y). This is demonstrated by the magnitude of the significance value of 0.029 which is smaller than 0.05. In accordance with these results, it can be concluded that work communication has a significant effect on the employee performance of PT. Catur Mitra Sejati Sentosa. (2) Work Motivation (X2) has a partially significant influence on Employee Performance (Y). This is indicated by the magnitude of the significance value of more than 0.008 which is smaller than 0.05. According to these results, it can be inferred that work motivation has a significant effect on the employee performance of PT. Catur Mitra Sejati Sentosa. (3) Work Communication (X1) and Work Motivation (X2) have a significant effect simultaneously on the Employee Performance variable (Y). This is revealed by the magnitude of the significance value of more than 0.008 which is smaller than 0.05. Based on these results, it can be concluded that work motivation has a significant effect on the employee performance of PT. Catur Mitra Sejati Sentosa. (3) Work Communication (X1) and Work Motivation (X2) have a significant effect simultaneously on the Employee Performance variable (Y).
