The amount of service discrimination, lack of service certainty and low levels of community satisfaction are important issues that need to be addressed in the delivery of public services after the enactment of the Regional Autonomy policy. Payment of motor vehicle tax that is imaged as a convoluted service, has a very complicated procedure and there is no certainty about the time and openness of the required service costs. As a result of this all makes economic growth and investment in the regions become hampered which also affects national economic growth. This article aims to provide an overview of people's perceptions of motor vehicle tax services in the city of Cilegon. One of the factors hampering the improvement of the investment climate in Indonesia is due to regulatory issues. The government is making various efforts in manifesting people's welfare, as per the Pancasila paradigm. The government is trying to increase economic growth through investment. In its implementation, the government envisages a Draft Omnibus Law that, with reasons for cutting and simplifying various regulations which are considered to be too numerous and overlapping, there are 8,451 regulations at the central level and 15,985 regional regulations. Where it makes the government confined and limited space so that the speed of government in making decisions becomes too late and not right. For the Government Omnibus law has a goal to encourage national economic growth. But there was a polemic in the process of forming this Omnibus Law Bill. Various rejection of various elements, especially the community. The Omnibus Law Bill that is in the spotlight is the work copyrights then the environment and also the principle of regional autonomy that is trying to be disturbed. Regional Regulation number 20 of 2011 concerning vehicle levies requires every vehicle operating in general to be roadworthy in order to provide a sense of security and comfort for the community. This levy is borne by the community because in the current era of regional autonomy, the regions are given greater authority to regulate and manage their own households as stipulated in Law No.23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of collecting motor vehicle test fees in the city of Denpasar from 2015-2018.The results of the study show that from 2015 to 2018 the realization of levies collection of vehicle testing always exceeds the budget target with a percentage above 100% which is very effective even though the achievement is still fluctuating up and down because the number of vehicles decreases and regulations change, but on average collection of motorized vehicle testing fees still shows very effective.

Cities matter. They are often the sites in which the helping hand and the clenched fist of the state makes first contact with the citizen. They are engines of national economic growth and, often, the source of political movements that become national and transnational in scope. Yet, the theoretical tools available to study change at the urban level are limited. This article seeks to address this shortcoming by offering a new account of urban political development. I argue that urban political development is driven by the impact of multiple political orders. My aim is to highlight three apparently contradictory patterns of urban political development: the imposition of urban austerity measures, the rise of the urban carceral state, and the emergence of progressive economic policymaking, such as local minimum wage ordinances. I suggest that these shifts reflect underlying operation and competition among neoliberal, conservative and egalitarian political orders respectively.

There was much in common in the development of post-Keynesian economics in Australia and New Zealand, but there were also many differences. Both countries shared a common heritage in higher education. In the first twenty-five years after World War II, both countries adopted broadly Keynesian policies and experienced very low levels of unemployment. Increasingly over these years more theorizing about macroeconomic policy had what now would be called a post-Keynesian content, but this label was not used till after the event. In both countries, apart from one important factor, the experience of actual monetary policy and theorizing about it were similar. Keynesian ideas were more rapidly adopted in Australia than in many other countries. Not surprisingly for a couple of decades after 1936, analysis of policy and its application was Keynesian rather than post-Keynesian, with fiscal policy playing the major role. The conduct of both monetary and fiscal policy depends on the theory of inflation. This chapter examines post-Keynesian economics in Australasia, focusing on aggregate demand, economic growth, and income distribution policy.

Mark Peterson's The City-State of Boston is a formidable work of history—prodigiously researched, lucidly written, immense in scope, and yet scrupulously detailed. A meticulous history of New England over more than two centuries, the book argues that Boston and its hinterland emerged as a city-state, a “self-governing republic” that was committed first and foremost to its own regional autonomy (p. 6). Rather than as a British colonial outpost or the birthplace of the American Revolution—the site of a nationalist struggle for independence—the book recovers Boston's long-lost tradition as a “polity in its own right,” a fervently independent hub of Atlantic trade whose true identity placed it in tension with the overtures of both the British Empire and, later, the American nation-state (p. 631).

The high rate of inflation has the potential to increase poverty because it can reduce people's purchasing power, where if inflation rises significantly it can shift the people who are categorized as not poor, become vulnerable to poverty, almost poor and even poor. The aims of this study are to analyze the development of macroeconomic indicators, namely inflation and economic growth that are associated with poverty levels in the city of Bandung. The methodology used in this study is descriptive analysis and the ARMA (autoregressive moving average) model. The results showed that the high inflation in the city of Bandung compared to national and West Java inflation carries its own burden for the economy of the community, where purchasing power will decrease when inflation rises significantly and will have an impact on people's welfare. Inflation in the city of Bandung is often due to the price of food commodities (volatile food inflation). In addition, the high economic growth in the city of Bandung is not directly proportional to the decline in poverty levels. This shows that the quality of economic growth in the city of Bandung has problems that need attention. Therefore, local government in their efforts to encourage economic growth must prioritize poverty reduction and inequality.
