ABSTRACTThe aim of this community service program was to improve the community’s knowledge and skill in changing the rubbish into compost and  to develop students creativity in recycling the rubbish intoa medium of teaching mathematic subject in order to support the quality of teaching and  learning process. The participants of this community service program are the youth organization and housewife. The output of  this program were scientific article and its product; they are compost and  mathematic media. The scientific method was used in this communitcy service program; namely, observation, action and evaluation. In observation activity, the participants have to identify which rubbish could be changed  into compost and the other one as teaching media. Action activity was the implementation of  constructed planning, then evaluation activity was to measure or evaluate the quality and quantity of the product itself. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah masyarakat kelompok karang taruna, ibu rumah tangga aktif. Luaran yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah artikel ilmiah dan produk yang berupa pupuk kompos dan media pembelajaran matematika. Metode yang digunakan adalah  metode saintifik yaitu, melakukan observasi, tindakan atau pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Observasi dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah mengidentifikasi sampah-sampah yang dapat dijadikan pupuk kompos dan jenis-jenis sampah yang dapat dijadikan media pembelajaran matematika. Tindakan dalam kegiatan ini merupakan implementasi terhadap rencana atau rancangan kegiatan yang sudah ditentukan sedangkan Evaluasi dilakukan terhadap kuantitas dan kualitas produk yang dihasilkan. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah pupuk organik dan alat peraga matematika seperti klinometer, limas segi tiga, kubus. Kata Kunci: Sampah, Alat Peraga Matematika, Pupuk Organik

ABSTRACT RT 04 Sematang Borang Village has utilized a biogas installation to process cow manure into both solid and liquid organic fertilizer and also produce biogas. The biogas fermentation process and organic fertilizer processing experienced problems due to the grass within the cow manure entering the digester, which was caused by a leak in the digester cover and the low quality of organic fertilizer produced in the outlet tub. This community service activity aims to treat waste raw materials so that the fermentation process can take place optimally. The presence of animal feed or grass in the inlet tub will interfere with the fermentation process and cause the digester lid to leak. In the implementation of this community service program, the focus is on improving the digester and adding tools to aid the process of separating cow dung raw materials so that the fermentation process can be optimized. The biogas formation process requires an airtight, oxygen-free, or anaerobic (closed) space. Treatment is done by separating cow manure raw materials from feed grass by using a filter to produce good raw materials in the biogas fermentation process. So that cow manure that enters the digester can be fermented optimally. Keywords: Biogas; Digester; Fermentation; Cow Manure   ABSTRAK RT 04 Kelurahan Sematang Borang, sudah menggunakan instalasi biogas yang gunanya untuk mengolah kotoran ternak sapi menjadi pupuk organik padat dan cair serta juga menghasilkan biogas. Proses fermentasi biogas dan pengolahan pupuk organik ini mengalami kendala yang disebabkan rumput kotoran sapi yang masuk ke dalam digester yang disebabkan oleh bocornya tutup digester serta belum maksimalnya kualitas pupuk organik yang dihasilkan pada bak outlet rendah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk  melakukan treatment pada bahan baku limbah sehingga proses fermentasi dapat berlangsung optimal. Adanya pakan ternak atau rumput di dalam bak inlet akan mengganggu proses fermentasi dan menyebabkan tutup digester bocor. Pada kegiatan pelaksanaan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini difokuskan pada perbaikan digester dan penambahan alat untuk proses pemisahan bahan baku kotoran sapi agar proses fermentasi lebih maksimal. Proses pembentukan biogas membutuhkan ruang yang kedap udara, tanpa oksigen atau anaerob (tertutup). Perlakuan pengolahan (treatment) dengan pemisahan bahan baku kotoran sapi dengan rumput pakan dengan menggunakan alat penyaring untuk menghasilkan bahan baku yang baik pada proses fermentasi biogas. Sehingga kotoran sapi yang masuk ke dalam digester dapat difermentasi secara maksimal. Kata kunci: Biogas; Digester; Fermentasi; Kotoran Sapi

The Independent Real Work Lecture (KKN) program has been implemented in Golo Wuas Village, Elar Selatan District, East Manggarai Regency. The purpose of implementing the program is that lecturers and students gain learning experiences through direct involvement with the community by finding, formulating, solving, and overcoming problems in the field. The method of implementing KKN activities is carried out in the form of data collection, socialization, and training involving the government and the community directly. Some of the results achieved from this Independent Community Service Program are some of the activities that have been carried out (a) Assistance in teaching and learning activities in mathematics subjects to SDK Ndawang students, (b) Counseling and parquetry of making husk charcoal fertilizer and organic fertilizer, (c) empowerment seminars community in the health sector

[Bahasa]: Perkembangan teknologi informasi menjadi salah satu peluang yang dapat dimanfaatkan guru dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas. Banyaknya perangkat lunak (software) yang tersedia dapat dimanfaatkan guru untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan menarik minat belajar siswa. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme guru-guru Sekolah Dasar Negeri (SDN) 2 Palembang dalam membuat media pembelajaran berbasis komputer dan multimedia sehingga lebih meningkatkan efisiensi waktu penyampaian materi pembelajaran dan proses belajar mengajar menjadi lebih menarik. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode ceramah, praktek/pelatihan, dan tanya jawab. Hasil PKM ini menunjukkan guru-guru SDN 2 Palembang dapat mengikuti pelatihan ini dengan baik. Melalui kegiatan ini guru dapat membuat presentasi berbasis media dan mampu menambahkan animasi pada media tersebut sehingga menjadi lebih menarik. Dengan demikian kegiatan pelatihan pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis multimedia ini efektif dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru sekolah dasar. Kata Kunci: media pembelajaran, multimedia, profesionalisme guru [English]: The development of information technology is one of the opportunities that can be utilized by teachers to improve the quality of learning in the classroom. A large amount of available software can be used by teachers to develop interactive learning media and attract students' interest in learning. This community service program aims to improve the teachers’ professionalism in Palembang Elementary School (SDN) 2 in making computer-based and multimedia-based learning media so as to increase the efficiency of time delivery of learning materials and teaching and learning processes become more interesting. The method used in this program was the lecture, practice/training, and question and answer. The results showed that the teachers of SDN 2 Palembang take part in this training well. Through this activity, the teachers are able to make a media-based presentation and add animation to the media so that it becomes more interesting. Thus, the training of developing multimedia-based learning media is effective in increasing the professionalism of elementary school teachers. This community service program aimed to improve teachers’ anthusiastic in SMKN 1 Sekotong, West Lombok to conduct articles to be published in national accredited and international journal. The method used in this program divided into three stages such as 1) early stage includes koordination between the program team with the principle of SMKN 1 Sekotong; 2) implementation stage includes scientific article training; and 3) evaluation stage that used as the overview of the next program. The materials in this program was presented mostly in term of describing the technique of writing good articles therefore they deserve to be published in national accredited or international journal. This community service program was conducted in SMKN 1 Sekotong which was followed by the pcinciple and 23 teachers. The conclusion of this program was there was an improvement of teachers’ anthusiastic to publish their scientific articles in national accredited and international journal.

A lecturer with a good performance has a positive impact on the quality of teaching and learning. The said quality  includes the delivery of teaching materials, learning methods, and ultimately the academic results of students. Performance of lecturers contributes significantly to the quality of research and community service which in turn improves the quality of teaching materials. It is desirable, therefore, to have a method to measure the performance of lecturers in carrying out the Tri Dharma (or the three responsibility) activities, which consist of teaching and learning process, research, and community service activities, including publications at both national and international level. This study seeks to measure the performance of lecturers and cluster them into three categories, namely "satisfactory", "good", and "poor". Data were taken from academic works of nursing study program lecturers in conducting academic activities. Clustering process is carried out using two machine learning approaches, which is K-Means and K-Medoids algorithms. Evaluation of the clustering results suggests that K-Medoids algorithm performs better compared to using K-Means. DBI score for clustering techniques using K-Means is -0.417 while the score for K-Medoids is -0.652. The significant difference in the score shows that K-Medoids algorithm works better in determining the performance of lecturers in carrying out Tri Dharma activities.

In an education, learning is supported by various methods, media, and learning models to improve the quality of learning. In this article, the author only focuses on one example of the method used to assist the teaching and learning process. The method is a way whose function is as a tool to achieve a goal. The better the method, the more effective the attainment of the goal. This writing aims to describe the inquiry method regarding the strengths and weaknesses in the process of learning folk poetry and the reconstruction of the inquiry method in the process of learning folk poetry. This writing is a non-research scientific article, where only the author's ideas are expressed. Compiled from several theories such as learning folk poetry, learning methods, learning methods in the 2013 curriculum, and related to inquiry learning methods. The results of this paper are found the weaknesses and strengths of the inquiry method in learning poetry and the weaknesses are reconstructed to make it better or more effective.

Teacher as one of the important key factors in education must enhance the quality of their knowledge both theoretical, skills, and expertise. For this reason, the community service program held by Department of Biology, FMIPA, Mulawarman University, Samarinda aimed to improve the practical skills of high school teachers. This program was attended by 16 teachers from various high schools from the Samarinda region and Tenggarong. The community service program consisted of 25% theory and 75% practice in one day. The theory about DNA isolation, polymerase chain reaction, and electrophoresis was done in the classroom. Meanwhile, in laboratory, the use of molecular biology equipment, electrophoresis, interpretation results of electrophoretic DNA bands, and NCBI was done by the teachers which is assisted by the laboratory assistant. In the end of the program, the skill of laboratory practice of teachers was improve, indicating by the increasing percentage of understanding about biology molecular skills.

Institution Awareness to the citizens in order to increase the quality of education is a part of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. To apply the program, it needs a plan. Community service program. The general purpose of this community service program is to increase the competency of citizens of RW 003 Babakan Village, Kelapa Dua, Setu, South Tangerang using Zahir Accounting Software training. The activity of this community service program entitled Computerized Accounting. The trainers and the source speakers are from the lecturers of Accounting Major of Pamulang University (Universitas Pamulang). The result conducted on November, 1,2,3 2019 was increasing their ability to use computer and computerized accounting with Zahir Accounting Software. The trainees was enthusiastic with the material they had from the lecturers of Accounting Major of Pamulang University (Universitas Pamulang). Community and family empowerment activities are classic activities that are currently still underestimated by many parties, but this is still relevant and urgent when linked to community service programs. This community service program is proven to have a direct impact on efforts to improve the quality of life of the community, especially for disadvantaged families or disadvantaged families. Through this paper, the authors raise several positive aspects that can be obtained from several stages of the implementation of community service conducted by Padang State University in Nagari Lubuk Jantan Tanah Datar Regency. The focus of the activity is the empowerment of pre-prosperous family economies through the utilization of family resources and yards. The election of Nagari Lubuk Jantan is based on the consideration that this area is relatively many target groups or communities that are still underdeveloped in various aspects of life, especially in the education aspects, social aspects, and cultural aspects, and low levels of welfare, while they have relatively large family members as well as large yards that are not used optimally. The results of these community service activities have a significant impact, including: increased public knowledge about family problems and potential, the community gets an understanding in increasing family income through the management of family resources, and skills in improving the family economy by choosing and cultivating plants of economic value in the yard around residential areas, especially for economically weak communities. It is expected that all parties, including universities, regional governments, the private world, and community leaders, can increase their awareness of the family empowerment program, especially in optimizing the utilization of the potential of family resources such as human resources, family assets and time. Therefore, in the future, a variety of scientific studies and a more comprehensive service program breakthrough and totality related to efforts to improve the quality of the family will lead to a more dignified prosperous family.Keywords: Family Resources, Disadvantaged Families, Yard

Rambu-rambu Village is one of the villages clustered within the Tumbuh Lestari rural area of North Konawe District. The main purpose of this project was to empower the coastal community groups in Rambu-rambu Village through the introduction of in-cage verticulture farming of seaweed. The project was carried out within the scheme of Community Service Program (PKM/Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat) funded by the University of Halu Oleo. The project lasted for 30 days from 29 June to 28 July 2019. The activity consisted of three stages, are initial dissemination activity, preparation of the training, and implementation of training of seaweed culture. The project involved 20 students of the University of Halu Oleo and 42 people from fishermen, fisherme wifes, and farmer groups. Before the training was conducted 66.7% of the participants did not have the knowledge and after the training 71.4% of the respondents gained an understanding regarding the seaweed verticulture farming method. The improvement of skill was also evident where before the training, 81% of the participants were not able to do seaweed farming method and after the training, 61.9% of the participants were capable or skilled of repeating the seaweed verticulture method. The increased knowledge of the participants could be described from their ability to clearly explain types of seaweed species used, the benefits of seaweed, and the characteristics of high quality of seaweed seed. The improved skill of the participants were also observed from their skill in constructing the seaweed raft and seaweed net cage, tying up the seaweed seed, and conducting the observation of water quality condition in the location of seaweed farming. The result of this activity showed an increased of knowledge and skill of the trained participants regarding seaweed farming using verticulture method.
