The presence of Muslim clerics (kiai) in Langitan Islamic boarding school (pesantren) Widang Tuban is very unique to be taken into account, especially from their duties and function. They have provided direction or input in curriculum preparation, created an evaluation system, formulated institutional rules and organized the life of the entire pesantren community as well as their role as community leaders. This study focuses more on the efforts of kiai in developing multicultural Islamic education for considering that this pesantren has undergone changes and renewal but is not inseparable from traditional roots which are proven to be laden with multicultural educational values. In reality, this kind of pesantren has produced many students and graduates who have inclusive, moderate and tolerant viewpoints. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection is caccried out through such methods as observation, interviewes and documents. The results of this study showed that the efforts of the kiai in developing multicultural Islamic education in Pesantren LangitanWidang Tuban are: firstly, building a multicultural Islamic education epistemology based on the al-Qur'an and Hadith. Secondly, sharpening the values of multiculturalism in curriculum. Thirdly, fostering students' spiritual growth (spiritualization of students).

AbstrakPendidikan Multikultural dalam konteks keindonesiaan memiliki peran dan fungsi yang sangat penting. Sebagai negara yang memiliki keberagaman budaya, masyarakat rentan dengan konflik sosial. Salah satu keberagaman itu terdapat Pulau Batang Dua. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana nilai-nilai musik tradisional Tali Dua dan bagaimana nilai-nilai pendidikan multikulturalisme pada musik tradisional Tali Dua di Pulau Batang Dua, Ternate, Maluku Utara dapat dilakukan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah verifikasi data, reduksi data, dan penyajian data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan, bahwa nilai-nilai pendidikan multikulturalisme dapat dilihat dalam fungsi musik Tali Dua pada acara perkawinan dan acara Lawidi. Nilai pendidikan multikulturalisme juga terdapat pada internal kelompok musik Tali Dua, yakni setiap karakter dan kultur anggota yang berbeda menyatu dalam kelompok musik Tali Dua sebagai nilai-nilai budaya bangsa yang harus dijaga, dilestarikan, dan dikembangkan.Kata kunci: pendidikan multikultural, musik tradisi, Musik Tali Dua EDUCATIONAL VALUES OF MULTICULTURALISM IN TALI DUA TRADITIONAL MUSIC IN BATANG DUA ISLAND, TERNATE CITY, NORTH MALUKUAbstractMulticultural education in Indonesia has a very important role and function. The method used in this research is the qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interviews, and document studies. Data analysis involves data verification, data reduction, and data presentation. The results showed that the values of multicultural education can be seen in the function of Tali Dua music at the wedding ceremony and Lawidi event. The value of multicultural education is also found in the musical group of Tali Dua, that is, each character and culture of different members converge in the group as the nation’s cultural values that must be maintained, preserved, and developed.Keywords: multicultural education, traditional music, Tali Dua Music

Pesantren, the Islamic boarding school, is the oldest Islamic education in Indonesia and is constantly undergoing changes from time to time. This research uses the qualitative approach. This study aims to describe the application of the heutagogy method in the growth of pesantren education. The results of this study indicate that the Al-Luqmaniyyah salaf Boarding School has already applied the heutagogy learning method, it means that pesantren education precedes the Westerners in terms of its utilization. Through the study and discussion of Kitab Kuning (yellow-colored textbooks about Islamic knowledge), students determine their systems, study materials, and problems to find a solution. Sources of learning for students are not only limited by the Kitab Kuning, but students can also have access through the internet, online books and applications with trusted sources. PSDS is responsible for managing the talents and interests of the santri (a term used in Pesantren to call an apprentice), as well as training santri skills by making films, recording, creativity, writing, making advertisements, making interesting contents on social media. LP2M Al-Luqmaniyyah with its various divisions is required to channel and facilitate what the community needs from the students as they can also learn from the community it self. This article is the result of research that aims to explain the representation of Islamic educational values ​​in the Katoba tradition of the Munanese community. The object of observation is Katoba ritual. In-depth interviews were conducted with informants from the Katoba tradition practitioner which called imamu, academics, researchers, traditional and cultural leaders, educational practitioners, community leaders, and youth leaders. Provision of research data sourced from the results of recording, field notes and documents. This study found that the representation of the values ​​of Islamic education in the katoba tradition of Munanese community consists of the value of aqidah education, the value of religious education, and the value of moral education.   Abstrak: Artikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menjelaskan representasi nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam dalam tradisi Katoba pada masyarakat etnis Muna. Objek pengamatan adalah pelaksanaan ritual Katoba. Wawancara mendalam dilakukan dengan informan pengamal tradisi katoba yang disebut imamu, akademisi, peneliti, tokoh adat dan budaya, praktisi pendidikan, tokoh masyarakat, dan tokoh pemuda. Penyediaan data penelitian bersumber dari hasil pencatatan, catatan lapangan dan dokumen. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa representasi nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam dalam tradisi katoba masyarakat etnis Muna terdiri dari nilai pendidikan aqidah / tauhid; nilai pendidikan agama; dan nilai pendidikan pendidikan moral.

This article examines the construction of the religious moderation in pesantren which emphasizes the values framework that underlies it. Therefore, this research focused on the basic framework of theological normative values of the religious moderation in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in East Java. Based on this focus, this research emphasized a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type. The findings of this research review that the religious moderation built by the pesantren is based on divine awareness. Reasonably that their attitudes and actions continue to represent religious-spiritual values. Therefore, every dimension of their life is inseparable from Qur'anic ethics, including religious views, attitudes and actions. This is what the researcher termed aas  theological moderation. The implication is not only to dynamize religious life in a society with various movements and beliefs but also to empower rationality (reason) in the pesantren, so that the educational system in the pesantren is also influenced by this religious moderation.   Keywords: Islamic Education, Moderation, and Phenomenology

The recent multicultural education is being discussed from the various problems that hinder it. In addition to social problems, multicultural education is also not free from problems in the process and learning content. This study aims to describe how Multicultural Content-Based Islamic Educational Content ?, The research is run using a descriptive-qualitative approach (multi-case multi-site). The data were collected through in-depth interviews to two experts of Islamic education and focus group interviews to four teachers who have had work experience of seven to twenty years. Furthermore, the data were analyzed qualitatively using NVIVO 10.0 software. The results of the research show that the content of Islamic-Based Multicultural Education Learning is: Explaining the concept of aqidah and muamalah, Designing material by applying multicultural and emphasizing on equality principle, Making culture as Content, and Rahmatalillalamin Islam concept.

This study aims to describe the implementation of Early Islamic Education in Middle School Manba'ul Falah Kedungliwung Kemiri Singojuruh Banyuwangi. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The techniques carried out in the analysis of the data are display data, data reduction, and conclusion. The validity of the data is done through continuous observation, technical triangulation, and member check. The results showed that structure of Diniyah Madrasa Manba'ul Falah State Middle School contains objective religious education values. MADIN implementation in the classroom is developed through spontaneous activities, routine activities and conditioning. MADIN's educational values developed are students becoming people who are fasanah wafilakhiroti hasanah (good people in the world and good people in the hereafter).

This study aims to examine the transformation of Islamic education in terms of Auguste Comte's three-stage law. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of research is library research. The results of this study are that the theological stage occurred when the emergence of the first Islamic boarding school in the form of a Salaf Islamic Boarding School whose focus of study was only on theological aspects or aspects of life after death. then the metaphysical stage shows the use of reason to answer problems that occur in humans both at the theological level as well as worship and muamalah. then the positive stage where humans have considered scientific facts in solving Islamic problems, namely the emergence of offers of humanist meanings of Islam such as pluralism and Islamic archipelago. The emergence of Islamic higher education institutions has also become a forum for discussing scientific answers by academics who have professional qualifications and competencies.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pengambilan keputusan dan kebijakan yang diterapkan pimpinan dalam pengelolaan Pondok Pesantren Al-Muhajirin Purwakarta. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peranan pimpinan dalam pengelolaan pondok pesantren tidak hanya berperan sebagai pemimpin saja, akan tetapi beliau juga berperan sebagai educator, manajerial, innovator, administrator, bahkan supervisor terhadap segala sesuatu yang telah ditetapkan secara efektif dan efisien dalam rangka pencapaian tujuan. Sedangkan tipe kepemimpinan beliau lebih condok pada tipe kepemimpinan demokratis dan kharismatis. Hal tersebut dapat terlihat dari cara beliau dalam mengambil keputusan yang selalu menggunakan kebersamaan dalam musyawarah untuk mencapai kata mufakat. Kemudian dalam proses penyusunan kebijakan program beliau selalu mempertimbangkan beberapa hal, diantaranya adalah tujuan utama dan fungsi keberadaan pesantren, kebutuhan santri, kondisi santri serta kondisi sarana dan prasarana yang ada di pesantren.   This study aims to determine the decision-making process and policies applied by the leadership in the management of the Al-Muhajirin Islamic Boarding School in Purwakarta. This research method uses a method with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the role of leadership in the management of boarding schools not only acted as a leader, but he also acted as educator, managerial, innovator, administrator, and even supervisor of everything that has been determined effectively and efficiently in order to achieve goals. While his type of leadership is more focused on the type of democratic and charismatic leadership. This can be seen from the way he makes decisions that always use togetherness in deliberation to reach the word consensus. Then in the program policy formulation process he always considered several things, including the main purpose and function of the existence of the pesantren, the needs of the santri, the condition of the students and the condition of the facilities and infrastructure in the pesantren.

Basically, waqf only have a direct function. Islamic boarding school didn't yet toproductive the land of waqf. Yayasan Arwaniyyah is a foundation with boarding school basic who can utilizing waqf land productively. This study aims to describe the manajement of waqf productif in Yayasan Arwaniyyah Kudus. This study is using qualitative approach with study case strategy. Analitical techniqueis based on theoritical preposition, that followed the theoritical preposition which guide the case of study. Arwaniyyah Foundation when utilize the waqf productive do several things, which is performing management fungtions in the implemetation of waqf productive, creating jobs and social care, and creating economic independence boarding school. The result of this research show that Arwaniyyah Foundation utilize lands waqf to be productive to achieve economic independence boarding school. Management of waqf conducted by the foundation divided into three areas. Religion activities, Islamic education,and social and economic.

This study discusses the concept of moral education. The goals of moral education are: 1) learn the concept of moral education curriculum; 2) the process of internalizing moral education. This study uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological method. The results show that, first: moral education must be based on the concept of Islam and placing morals in science is a shared responsibility because it includes doctrinal implications that the purpose of human life must be within the framework of worship of God. Second: Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School makes morality the basis of education with an internalization process including integrating general and religious subject curricula, habituation methods and 3T programs, namely tahfizh (memorizing), tafhim (understanding) and taf'il (practice). Artikel ini membahas mengenai konsep pendidikan akhlak. Orientasi utama dari pendidikan akhlak ini yaitu mempelajari konsep kurikulum pendidikan akhlak serta proses internalisasi pendidikan akhlak. Penulisan artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Hasil dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan akhlak harus didasarkan pada konsep Islam. Menempatkan akhlak pada sains adalah tanggung jawab bersama karena hal itu mencakup implikasi doktrinal bahwa tujuan hidup manusia harus berada dalam kerangka pemujaan kepada Allah. Pesantren Muhammadiyah menjadikan akhlak sebagai basis pendidikan dengan proses internalisasi termasuk mengintegrasikan kurikulum mata pelajaran umum dan agama, metode habituasi dan program 3T, yaitu tahfizh (menghafal), tafhim (pengertian) dan taf'il (berlatih).
