Islamic education is one field of Islamic studies who received a lot of attention from scientists. This is because in addition to a very strategic role in order to enhance human resources, as well as in Islamic education there are a variety of complex problems. Ibn Taymiyyah for example, he was known as a scholar, thinker and politician. The thinking in the field of education is a response to the various problems facing the Islamic society that demands split logically through education. Philosophy of education, he said, should be built on the foundation of monotheism, the belief in the oneness of God. Monotheism which is the basis of education include; rububiyah monotheism, monotheism asthma wa uluhiyah and nature. Based on the insights of faith is then Ibn Taymiyyah describes the purpose of education, students, teachers, curriculum and so on.

Islamic education phenomenon with its kinds and shapes has good philosophic evidence. Philosophy of education is application of philosophyc ideas in education which has essential values to aim the purpose and the performance of Islamic education. Generally, the tendencies in philosophy had created the typology of Islamic education philosophy. Its tendencies influenced the development Islamic education curriculum. This book's purpose is to discuss several matters related to education management to regulate the education system in the face of the current era of globalization. As a result of that purpose, this book discusses the philosophy of educational management. This educational management philosophy explains in detail the philosophy itself and explains its relation to education. Philosophy itself is related to education because education is a vital field for human life in the future. A good education will create good human resources too, so that good management is needed to produce quality education. This is inseparable from philosophy which is the source of knowledge, of course this knowledge must be used in conducting any policy or research. Therefore, writing this book aims to explain the philosophy of educational management, which aims to organize all the structures contained in education for the better.

This paper examines the liberating philosophy of education in the perspective of Islamic education. The method used is descriptive-analytical with historical approach. This study found that liberation education philosophy became a mission in the world of Islamic education and has occurred in the time of the Prophet Muhammad until the golden age of Islam. However, after the decline of the Islamic world until now virtually a dichotomous virus has occurred, even liberation education philosophy no longer occurs in the world of Islamic education. Therefore, Islamic education should be able to be a means of liberation to prepare learners to plunge in people's lives. In addition, the dichotomy of science should be abolished by the view that science is all derived from Islam. Liberate education will be realized if Islamic education is willing to reorient: Having a clear vision, mission, and strategic orientation. Strong social, intellectual and moral legitimacy.to the society and respond to the demands of the era Managed with modern management that is professional, rational, open, accountable, humanist, has access, cooperation and global partnership.

This research aims to know the perspective of Islamic students about English subject. It reveals the questions such as: 1) what is the perspective of Islamic studies students towards English Subject in State Islamic Institute Pontianak?, 2) how does English learning process help Islamic studies students in State Islamic Institute Pontianak enrich their field study knowledge?. The research used mixed method. To answers the first research question, survey was used as research method, and questioner was used as instrument. Meanwhile, to answer the second research question, qualitative approach was chosen as method to gain answer. Interview was used as data collecting technique. The finding found that Islamic education students had positive perception dealing with the importance of learning English. The result also showed that English learning process on most of students’ perspective had not been effective and it did not give much contribution in increasing students’ English ability which deals with their disciplines. In conclusion, positive perception of students about the importance of learning English was not facilitated enough by learning process. It cannot be denied that looking at the learning process and also every scenario that occurs in this country is something that must be closely related to what and how one should know from the perspective of Islamic philosophy. Therefore, the essence of education which is based on Islam itself has a very significant contribution to human life. Discussing Islamic Philosophy of Education will focus on what philosophy is as the core of every theoretical and practical element of all aspects and knowledge. In this regard, this paper also looks at the relevance of the branches of philosophy (such as metaphysics and axiology) and philosophical schools of thought (such as pragmatism) in the discussion of Islamic Education Philosophy. Ultimately, this was seen as essential to achieving holistic learning. So this understanding of Islamic Philosophy proves to be important in understanding any current scenario in our context or society in this country, among other things about the importance of implementing aspects of Islamic Education Philosophy in looking at social problems; the application of aspects of Islamic Philosophy Education in Viewing Environmental Problems; and Educational Aspects of Islamic Philosophy in Viewing Emotional and Spiritual Intelligence in today's society. Kata Kunci: Islamic philosophy, learning, holistic Abstrak Tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa melihat proses pembelajaran dan juga setiap skenario yang terjadi di negeri ini merupakan sesuatu yang harus berkaitan erat dengan apa dan bagaimana seharusnya seseorang mengetahui dari perspektif filsafat Islam. Oleh karena itu hakikat pendidikan yang berlandaskan Islam itu sendiri memiliki kontribusi yang sangat berarti bagi kehidupan manusia. Pembahasan Filsafat Islam Pendidikan akan menitikberatkan pada apa itu Filsafat sebagai inti dari setiap unsur teoritis dan praktis dari segala aspek dan ilmu. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut, makalah ini juga melihat relevansi cabang-cabang filsafat (seperti metafisika dan aksiologi) dan aliran pemikiran filsafat (seperti pragmatisme) dalam pembahasan Filsafat Pendidikan Islam. Pada akhirnya, ini dipandang penting untuk mencapai pembelajaran holistik. Maka pemahaman Filsafat Islam ini terbukti menjadi penting dalam memahami setiap skenario terkini dalam konteks kita atau masyarakat di negeri ini, antara lain tentang pentingnya penerapan aspek Filsafat Pendidikan Islam dalam memandang masalah sosial; penerapan aspek Pendidikan Filsafat Islam dalam Melihat Masalah Lingkungan; dan Aspek Pendidikan Filsafat Islam dalam Memandang Kecerdasan Emosional dan Spiritual dalam masyarakat saat ini.Kata Kunci: filsafat islam, pembelajaran, holistik

Higher education is obliged to carry out education, research and community service. Through the tridarma of higher education students must actually contribute to society. This research focuses on the role of Southeast Aceh university students as Agents of Social Change. This study uses qualitative research methods with a sociological approach. The results of this study indicate that students of Southeast Aceh Islamic tertiary institutions have played a positive role in the formation of people's lives and have a very important, strategic role in the formation of moral, moral and ethical learners who are currently at the lowest point in community development. The role of Islamic education is to create and create students who are characterized or Islamic in character, who are part of the community.

The educational curriculum in Indonesia has grown recent times but the philosophical foundation used rarely explored. The philosophical foundation used became an interesting thing. Through the clear philosophical foundation, direction and purpose of education became clear too. This study found that the nature of the educational curriculum 2013 were increasing changes base towards attitudes, knowledge and skills of the learners themselves in order to create a good character education. The goal to be achieved through the curriculum 2013 were producing creative and innovative generations to minimize poverty, ignorance and backwardness civilization. It has an eclectic incorporative philosophical foundation which means taking elements from education philosophy ideologies integrated with the national educational system. Progressivism as one of the schools of philosophy of education has a dominant part in the curriculum 2013 proved through the education system that is much focused to the students as the subjects of education, the teacher as a facilitator and the integrated lessons in one unit. The curriculum 2013 shows that the students must be taught in accordance with the developmental era. It will prevent producing obsolete generations. There are three main competencies of the students should be assessed as a whole things (attitudes, knowledge and skills).

Malaysia and Indonesia are implementing their own education system in developing their human resources for nation development. This paper discusses the systems in the countries limited to the main framework of education namely the philosophy of education; curriculum and its implementation; and assessment of students learning. From the philosophy of education point of view, divinity is the underlying aspect of education in Malaysia as well as in Indonesia, with students as the subject of education. Students of today are future human capital for the nation. Therefore education is necessary to develop students' natural potential to produce individuals who are intellectually, spiritually, emotionally and physically balanced and harmonious in line with the purpose of the human existence as inheritors of the earth. From the curriculum point of view, both countries are implementing a standard curriculum which is integrated and dynamic parallel with current needs and global challenges. The content of the curriculum includes knowledges, skills and values with innovations from time to time dynamically. From the aspect of students' learning, the quality of process and the quality of learning outcomes are based on competencies. The assessment of learning does not just focus to final examination results but also ensures the quality of students’ learning process. Generally, it is undeniable that there are some similarities between the two countries in developing their human resources through education. On a positive note, the similarities should be viewed in terms of the benefit to both countries. As the global challenges keep on changing, one day it might become ideas to have mutual collaborations between the two countries in generating higher quality of human resources through education.

Tulisan ini ditujukan untuk mengulas fenomena perubahan kurikulum di tahun 2013. Perubahan sebagai suatu keniscayaan tidak dapat dipungkiri juga telah merambah dunia pendidikan sebagai jawaban atas fenomena kehidupan masyarakat yang terus mengalami dinamika. Perubahan diperlukan untuk menyiapkan generasi muda dalam menyongsong Indonesia emas yang sangat membutuhkan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas dan siap bersaing di pasar global. Dalam pendidikan Islam, perubahan kurikulum ini memberi arah yang menguntungkan di beberapa aspek. Dimulai dari tujuan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan tiga domain pembelajaran, proses yang lebih “manusiawi” serta evaluasi sebagai akhir yang mengakomodasi seluruh potensi peserta didik. This paper is intended to review the phenomenon of changes inthe 2013 curriculum. The changes are an undeniable necessity; it also penetrated the education world as an answer to the phenomenon of a dynamics society living. Changes are needed to prepare young generation in facing great Indonesia that needs qualified and ready human resources to compete in the global market. In Islamic education, curriculum change is to give direction favorable in some aspects. It is starting from the learning objectives that integrate the three domains of learning, a process that is more ”humane” as well as a final evaluation that accommodate all potential learners.

Nurhakim *)Fakultas Agama Islam UMMABSTRACTThe study described Imam Zarkasyi’s reconstruction thought about Islamic boarding schoolreformation. The study aimed at exploring Zarkasyi’s thought to be implemented as Islamiceducation reformation model for Islamic society modernization. The limitations of the study wereZarkasyi’s curriculum, empowerment on organizational management, and ethics training in Islamicboarding school. The finding revealed in three main points. First, Zarkasyi’s believed that IslamicEducation curriculum were to cover both religious principles, and modern sciences as well. Thus,the students were expected to master both Arabic and English. Second, organizational and charity(wakaf) management required significant improvement to strengthen Islamic boarding schoolinstitution in accordance to modern principles. Third, Islamic education boarding schools were toemphasize on values of sincerity, simplicity, independence, solidarity, and freedom to raise theawareness of the ethics in Islamic education schools.
