This study aimed to discover epistemological obstacle on secondary students to solve sequence and series problems based on three indicators, there are a conceptual obstacle, procedural obstacle, and operational technique obstacle. This study was descriptive with qualitative research approaches. Data were collected with the test and interview method. The subjects in this study are students of SMP Negeri 86 Jakarta class VIII based on the errors seen from the diagnostic tests that had been tested. The analysis was done by giving written tests which are essay and interview formatted. Results on analysis showed that: (1) Conceptual obstacle, obstacle that was experienced by students are: students considered that a pattern was said as a numeral pattern because they own odd numeral pattern and own 2,2,2 of difference; were not able to find exact pattern within the problem; considering that Fibonacci numeral sequence was a pattern that form prime numeral pattern; were not able to differ the concept of arithmetics and geometry sequence; were not able to understand the concept of first quarter on arithmetics sequence; error when interpreted the meaning of problems; were not able to intepret what was given on mathematics model; interpreting sum of the first 20 quarters with sequences which own the 20th quarter; and interpreting sum of the first 20 quarters with the 20th quarter; (2) While on procedural obstacle, obstacle that was experienced are: interpreting numeral pattern if they own their pair; error on determining multiplication or difference; and applying formulas incorrectly; (3) Last on operasional technique obstacle, obstacle that was experienced are error on calculation and using sign and symbol mathematics incorrectly.

Balinese language is one of the regional languages in Indonesia that has a unique talk system, it is still alive and used as an instrument of communication of Balinese tribe so that it should be well maintained in order to still exist as a cultural vehicle of Bali. The Balinese language has anggah-ungguh kruna (level-word) that an important role in the formation of speech-level or anggah-ungguh basa Bali. This paper aims to describe the identification anggah-ungguh kruna (word level arrangement) which is the specific feature of speaking Balinese. This research is a qualitative research discuss with structuralism theory. Data collection was done by observation and interview method, assisted by recording technique. The collected data is processed by analytical descriptive method. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be described that anggah-ungguh kruna basa Bali include: (1) kruna nenten alus (kruna kasar, mider, and andap); (2) kruna alus, include: (kruna alus singgih, alus sor, alus mider, and alus madia).

The article presents the basic assumptions of qualitative research and the possibilities of their application in social (political) sciences. To achieve this goal, is the interview method was chosen. In the first part, basic information about the interview method will be recalled. The idea of research practice based on the story of Halcolm’s ‘master’. In the second part selected individual interview techniques will be analyzed, which, according to the author, may be the most practical for a political scientist, and the summary will present examples of the use of interviewing techniques by researchers from various disciplines in the field of social-political sciences and the possibility of using re-analysis.

PT XYZ is a company engaged in the field of production and services that has Human Resources spread throughout Indonesia. In this study, the object of observation is the employee in the East Java Unit which has a total of 2,300 personnel with the composition of the Millennial Generation (born 1981-1994) of 51% as the dominating number of employees in PT XYZ. The results of an interest survey conducted on 698 structural employees at the Basic Supervisor level (managerial type career) at PT XYZ East Java Unit, showed that 25% or 171 employees of the millennial generation chose functional careers (type of expertise). This phenomenon is then explored further in the research objectives, namely what factors influence career selection in millennial generation employees. This research is a qualitative research that uses the interview method. The result is that there are two factors that influence career choice, namely responsibility and type of work.   Keywords : Millenials, Careers, Qualitative

The study investigates types, sources of innovation, and corresponding challenges to commercialization among small and medium-sized industries (SMIs) in Tanzania. It employed a qualitative research design with semi-structured interview method. Findings indicate that incremental, product, and process are common types of innovations introduced. The major sources of innovations are employees, consumers, user-manufacturer lifestyles, consequential needs, and best practices by manufacturing firms. Also, it was revealed that SMIs do not follow all steps of the innovation commercialization process. Major challenges facing SMIs in the commercialization process include lack of commercialization knowledge; lack of development infrastructure and fast logistics; lack of strong university, industry, and public institutions linkage; and regulatory authorities' bureaucracy, among others. The study recommends that SMIs establish strong research and development units and collaborations with key stakeholders in order to improve identification and commercialization of innovations in Tanzania.

Aims of this descriptive qualitative research are organizing cooperational models of guidance and counseling and analizing use of those professional cooperation activities between counselor and other professionals for students as targeting subject of guidance and counseling service. Author got the needed data from observation method, interview method, and documentation method, while subject of this research are guidance and counseling teachers and students. Guidance and counseling teachers have created some cooperational patterns with motivator, psychology institution, college, and alumna. By these cooperational programs, students acknowledged that they got many supports in understanding and developing their potentials, coping their obstacles, and programming their individual planning. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan tujuan mengorganisasikan pola-pola kerjasama bimbingan dan konseling dan menelaah manfaat yang diperoleh siswa sebagai subjek sasaran layanan BK dari kegiatan kerjasama profesional antara konselor dengan pihak-pihak profesional lainnya. Data penulis peroleh dari observasi, wawwancara, dan dokumentasi, subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Guru BK dan siswa. Penulis memperoleh hasil penelitian berupa pola kerjasama yang dijalin oleh tenaga BK ialah dengan: (1) motivator; (2) lembaga psikologi; (3) perguruan tinggi; dan (4) alumni. Dengan program kerjasama tersebut siswa mengakui banyak terbantu dalam memahami-mengembangkan potensinya, mengatasi hambatannya, dan melakukan perencanaan individual.

This research aims to find out the type of student error in solving the problem of mathematics material in solving the problem of circle story and wide circle in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Wlingi Blitar.Dalam this research type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The subject of this study is the class VIII C MPN 1 Wlingi which amounted to 10 students who took the test.Teknik data collection in this study using written tests, interviews and documentation.Keabsahan data is done with reference materials and conduct checks members.Teknik data analysis is done with data reduction stages, data presentation, and verification or drawing conclusions. Students are grouped into three categories namely high-ability students, medium-skilled students and low-ability students. Each category is represented by one student. The results of this study are (1) The type of mistake made by a highly capable subject in solving soa l circle story and broad circle is a mistake of fact, error of concept and mistake of principle. (2) Types of moderate-ability students' mistakes are factual errors, concept errors and procedural errors. (3) Types of low-skill students' errors are fact errors, concept errors, procedural errors and principle errors

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil pemecahan masalah segitiga siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 19 Palu ditinjau dari gaya kognitif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1) profil pemecahan masalah siswa FI pada tahap memahami masalah yaitu: mengidentifikasi informasi-informasi yang diketahui dan ditanyakan. 2) Profil pemecahan masalah siswa FI pada tahap membuat rencana yaitu: mampu membuat hubungan antara informasi yang ada dengan masalah yang ditanyakan dengan mengaikatkan pengetahuan dan pengalamannya. 3) Profil pemecahan masalah subjek FI pada tahap melaksanakan rencana yaitu subjek dengan gaya kognitif FI dapat menerapkan rencana yang telah dibuat selanjutnya melaksanakan rencana dengan menggunakan konsep yang telah dipelajari sebelumnya. 4) Profil pemecahan masalah siswa FI pada tahap memeriksa kembali yaitu: subjek memeriksa kembali langkah demi langkah hasil pekerjaan 5) Profil pemecahan masalah siswa FD pada tahap memahami masalah yaitu: dengan cara membaca masalah berulang-ulang dan membutuhkan waktu yang lebih lama dalam memahami masalah. 6) Profil pemecahan masalah siswa FD pada tahap membuat rencana yaitu: subjek kurang tepat dalam membuat rencana penyelesaian.          7) Profil pemecahan masalah subjek FD pada tahap melaksanakan rencana yaitu subjek mengalami kesulitan dalam menerapkan rencana yang telah dibuat sebelumnya sehingga menambahkan beberapa strategi untuk dapat menyelesaikan masalah yang dihadapi. 8) Profil pemecahan masalah siswa FD pada tahap memeriksa kembali yaitu: subjek tidak melakukan pengecekan kembali hasil pekerjaan.   Kata Kunci: Profil, Pemecahan Masalah, Segitiga, Gaya Kognitif.   Abstract: This study aims to describe the problem solving problem of triangle students of class VIII SMP Negeri 19 Palu in terms of cognitive style. This type of research is qualitative research. The results showed that the results showed that: 1) the problem solving profile of FI students at the understanding stage of the problem that is: identifying the information known and asked. 2) FI student problem-solving profile at the stage of making a plan that is: able to make the relationship between existing information with the problem that is asked by raising knowledge and experience. 3) Profile of FI subject problem solving at the stage of implementing the plan ie subjects with cognitive style FI can implement the plan that has been made subsequently implement the plan by using the concept that has been studied previously. 4) FI stuzdent problem-solving profile at re-examination stage: subject check back step by step job result 5) FD student problem solving profile at the understanding stage of the problem that is: by reading the problem repeatedly and takes longer time to understand the problem . 6) Profile of FD student problem solving at the stage of making a plan that is: the subject is less precise in making the settlement plan. 7) The problem solving profile of the FD subject at the stage of implementing the plan ie the subject has difficulty in applying the pre-made plan so as to add some strategies to solve the problems encountered. 8) FD student problem-solving profile at the re-examination stage ie: the subject does not re-check the work result.   Keywords: Profile, Troubleshooting, Triangle, Cognitive Style

The problem studied was how the application of the CTL model could improve the ability to describe a fable in Class VIII-6 of SMPN 2 Peusangan. This study aimed to improve the ability to describe a fable in the class through the CTL model. The benefit of this research included improving fable describing ability on Class VIII-6 students of SMP Negeri 2 Peusangan through the application of the CTL model. The approaches used in this study were the qualitative research and the Class Action Research (PTK). Data collected in the study came from the pre-test and post test, observation, interviews, and field notes. The results showed that the implementation of narrative essay writing with the CTL approach could increase the activities of teachers and students. The results of observations of the teachers and students activities in the implementation of the cycle I action obtained and average percentage of 80.4%. However, in terms of the results, the implementation of the first cycle of action had not been successful because the students obtained the value of ≥ 65 were 68.6%, with 56% of class completeness. Thus, the researcher conducted a repetition cycle. The results of observations of teachers and students in the second cycle of action earned the average percentage of 84.2%, and reached 88% of classical completeness. Moreover, in terms of the results, the implementation of the second cycle showed that teaching narrative essay writing by applying the CTL model could improve students' writing on the fable describing materials. This can be seen from the percentage of the students who received ≥ 65 classically were 88%, with the class average of 84.2. Therefore, the CTL model used could increase the activities of teachers and students in fable describing in Class VIII-6 students of SMP Negeri 2 Peusangan, Bireuen district. This study aims to analyze conceptual understanding and increase student interest in learning by using assignment techniques in the form of material and SPLDV questions and also an assessment questionnaire. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The subjects who were the research targets were class VIII in MASS PP IRSYADUL ISLAMAH totaling 35 students. The research instrument used was an assignment questionnaire and an interest in learning outcomes. The material is used to provide understanding of the assignment and see the students' interest in learning the assessment subject. Seeing the interest in learning in student assignment techniques in solving problems with SPDLV Mathematics learning questions, students were given an assessment questionnaire on how the teacher applied Mathematics learning. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in student interest in learning, The increase in research resulted in 11 highest numbers of learning interest, 21 moderate numbers and 3 were in the lowest numbers in student interest in learning. From the results of this study the researchers succeeded in suppressing the lowest number and increasing the highest number of students' understanding and interest in solving problems in learning mathematics. The results of the student's interest in learning obtained an increase in interest in learning by 6.58% in MASS PP IRSYADUL ISLAMAH.
