This study focuses on the study of the value of moral education / didactic moralistic values contained in Ki Hadjar Dewantara's Serat Wasita Rini through content analysis. The data analysis methods and techniques used are the content analysis method of the semiotic model. Moral education can be equated with the terms ethical education, character education, value education or affective education. The results of the didactic moralistic value research contained in Serat Wasita Rini are as follows: 1) A woman should always maintain the norms of decency and morality; 2) Safeguarding themselves and their honor; 3) Women, do not like to order arbitrarily; 4) self-control; 5) A woman must be conscientious and clever at sorting out good and bad things; 6) Women are required to have creative intelligence, taste, and intention (morals)

This research was motivated by the problem of being able to find the values of character education in the novel Gunung Ungaran by Nh. Dini. The purpose of this study is to describe the values of character education in the novel Gunung Ungaran by Nh. Dini. This research is a qualitative research using content analysis method. The object of this research is the novel Gunung Ungaran by Nh. Dini. The data in this study are words, phrases, sentences and discourses which are the values of character education. The data source in this research is the novel Gunung Ungaran by Nh. Dini. The data techniques used are reading novels, marking data related to the value of character education, recording data, making inventory, and classifying. The results of this study indicate that there are ten values of character education found in the novel Gunung Ungaran. In addition to the value of character education, other character education values are also found, such as: 1) religious, 2) Tolerance, 3) Work hard, 4) Independent, 5) Curiosity, 6) Love the homeland, 7) Friendly/communicative, 8) Caring for the environment, 9) Social care, 10) Responsibility.Keywords: Education, Character, Novel.

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memahami secara komprehensif nilai-nilai humaniora dalam antologi puisi "Blues untuk Bonnie" karya WS Rendra. Metode penelitian yang digunakan deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan studi pustaka, dan teknik analisis data dengan analisis isi melalui kajian struktural semiotik. Hasil penelitian yakni antologi puisi Blues untuk Bonnie karya WS Rendra mengandung nilai-nilai humaniora yang terlihat melalui tanda-tanda semiotik berupa moralitas, simpati, empati, kasih sayang, kepedulian, kerjasama, dan toleransi. Temuan penelitian ini merekomendasikan bahwa masih banyak jenis-jenis karya sastra yang dapat dijadikan objek kajian dengan menggunakan pendekatan-pendekatan yang berbeda untuk mengungkap nilai-nilai pendidikan terutama pendidikan karakter bagi siswa dan mahasiswa. Temuan penelitian ini memberikan implikasi terhadap pengajaran sastra di sekolah lanjutan sampai perguruan tinggi dalam bentuk penyusunan bahan ajar atau pengembangan model pembelajaran apresiasi sastra sebagai alternatif pemecahan masalah pendidikan karater bangsa. Kata Kunci: Nilai-nilai humaniora, antologi puisi, kajian struktural semiotik Abstract The objective of this research is to understand comprehensively the humanities values in antology of poetry "Blues for Bonnie" by WS Rendra. The research used content analysis method with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are used library study and data analysis techniques with content analysis through the study of structuralism semiotic. The result was the antology of poetry 'Blues for Bonnie" by WS Rendra contains humanities values seen through semiotic signs are morality, symphaty, empbaty, love, care, togetherness, and tolerant. The findings lead to the recomendation that there are still many kinds of literary works which can be the object of research by using different approaches for investigating education characters! values for students. This finding implicates to literary instruction in schools to universities in forms of teaching materials or literary appreciation instruction as one of the alternative problem solving of the nation character education. <em>This research aims to describe the use of diction,the figure of speech, the use of<strong> </strong>image andcharacter education valuesin novel Seorang Laki-Laki Yang Keluar Dari Rumah by Puthut EA. This research employed descriptive qualitative approach with content analysis method. The data of research was contained in novel Seorang Laki-Laki Yang Keluar Dari Rumah and the result of interview with some informants. Technique of collecting data used was library and interview techniques. In this study, the author employed flow model of analysis.The results of research were as follows. Firstly, diction used in novel Seorang Laki-Laki Yang Keluar Dari Rumah consisted of six types. Secondly, there were four figure of speeches used in novel Seorang Laki-Laki Yang Keluar Dari Rumah. Ellipsis as the part of linking figure of speech is used most widely by author. Thirdly, the image used in novel Laki-Laki Yang Keluar Dari Rumah consisted of six types visual images were used most widely. Fourthly, there were ten character education values in novel Seorang Laki-Laki Yang Keluar Dari Rumah. Curiosity education character value was the one used most dominantly.</em>

This study aims to explore the value of character and philosophy of life of the founder of Muhammadiyah (KH. Ahmad Dahlan). The research method used is library research. The primary data source is the philosophy of the teachings of KH. Ahmad Dahlan, and the secondary sources are other books that are relevant and relevant to the research. Analysis of the data used in this study is the Content analysis method. The author's findings relate to the question that KH. Ahmad Dahlan bequeathed seven philosophies and his messages, in which teaches to be a visionary human being able to think ahead that is to be happy in the world and the hereafter. Character Value is exemplified by him, namely the value of religious character, honesty, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, national spirit, love of the motherland, valuing achievement, friendly or communicative, peace-loving, fond of reading social care and responsibility. The character education of KH. Ahmad Dahlan can support government character education so that it becomes an active character education.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali nilai karakter dan falsafah hidup pendiri Muhammadiyah (KH. Ahmad Dahlan). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Sumber data primer adalah falsafah ajaran KH. Ahmad Dahlan, sumber sekundernya adalah buku-buku lain yang bersangkutan dan relevan dengan penelitian. Analisa data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode content analysis. Temuan penulis berkaitan dengan pertanyaan yang ada bahwa KH. Ahmad Dahlan mewariskan tujuh falsafah dan pesan-pesan beliau, yang di dalamnya mengajarkan supaya menjadi manusia yang visioner mampu untuk berfikir kedepan yaitu supaya dapat bahagia dunia dan akherat. Nilai Karakter yang dicontohkan oleh beliau yakni nilai karakter religius, jujur, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, demokratis, rasa ingin tahu, semangat kebangsaan, cinta tanah air, menghargai prestasi, bersahabat atau komunikatif, cinta damai, gemar membaca, peduli sosial, dan tanggungjawab. Adapun pendidikan karakter KH. Ahmad Dahlan dapat mendukung pendidikan karakter pemerintah sehingga menjadi pendidikan karakter yang efektif.

Article discussed the relationship between the fasting of Ramadan with the formation of a positive character. The purposes of this article were exploring the meaning and finding the influence of fasting in shaping the character of a person. A descriptive-analytical method was applied in the research. The procedures were data collection, data classification, data analysis, and conclusions. The source of the data was gained from information available in the literature study. The data was analyzed by using content analysis method (content analysis), which was an attempt to explore the symbolic meaning of the message or the contents. The result shows that Ramadan fasting worship performed by Muslims for 29 or 30 days is not just limited to the ritual, but it also contributes to the formation of one's character when is viewed from the perspective of the character education. It can be concluded that fasting is done in earnest to bring a positive influence on the formation of character for someone. The positive character built through fasting are the habit of appreciating the time, keeping the rights of others, being honest and patient, and the habit of giving and being helpful.

The aim of this research is to obtain a deep understanding of character education in And The Mountains Echoed Novel written by Khalid Hosseini. This research used qualitative approach, content analysis method, through structuralism and  semiotics study. Structurally, character education in this novel found in the theme, the plot, the characters and characterization, and the setting. Semiotically, the researcher found semiotics signs in And The Mountains Echoed novel relating to the character education, namely, index, symbol, and icon. The data were collected through a carefull reading of the novel, identification, and classification. The values taken are the combination between character education value from Pusat Kurikulum Balitbang Diknas and Lickona’s. However not all values are captured, among the 28 values, only thirteen caught from the novel. The values are hard working, religious, responsible, love, integrity, social care, never give up, thanks be to Allah, appreciating achievement, wisdom, creative, curiousity, and friendly/communicative. From the structure of the novel, the character education implemented explicitly and implicitly in the theme, the character and characterization, the setting, and the plot. While from the semiotics, the character education mostly found  in the form of index, followed by symbol,and then icon.

<p><em>The purpose of this study is to describe the value of character education in wisdom expressions sourced from news discourse. This research utilizes descriptive qualitative approach. The data of research are in the form of phrase, words, and sentense in news discourse that contain wisdom expressions. The data source is news discourse that contain character value in expressions of wisdom. Data collection techniques utilized are observation and note taking. The object of this study is the expressions of wisdom sourced from news discourse. The data analysis method utilizes the referential identity method and the constituent analysis method. Data analysis uses content analysis method. The result of this study indicate that are various value of character education in expressions of wisdom in news discourse, namely the value of religiosity, professionalism, national defense, creativity, peace loving, fighting spirit, love of environment, love of the motherland, harmony, and honesty. The conclusion of this research is that news discourse contain multidisciplinary wisdom expressions, which can be used in character education for the nation's successors.</em></p><p><strong><em>Keywords:</em></strong><strong> <em>Character Value, Wisdom, Discourse.</em></strong><strong></strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan nilai pendidikan karakter pada ungkapan hikmah bersumberkan wacana berita. Penilitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data berupa kata, frasa, serta kalimat yang ada pada wacana berita yang mengandung nilai karakter dalam ungkapan hikmah. Sumber data adalah wacana berita yang mengandung nilai karakter dalam ungkapan hikmah. Simak dan catat merupakan teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah ungkapan hikmah yang bersumber dari wacana berita. Metode analisis data menggunakan padan referensial dan metode agih. Analisi data dengan menggunakan analisis isi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat berbagai nilai pendidikan karakter dalam ungkapan hikmah dalam wacana berita yakni nilai religiusitas, profesionalisme, bela negara, kreativitas, cinta damai, semangat juang, cinta lingkungan, cinta tanah air, kerukunan, kejujuran. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah wacana berita banyak mengandung ungkapan hikamah multidisipliner yang dapat dijadikan sebagai pendidikan karakter bagi insan penerus bangsa.</p><p><strong>Kata kunci: Nilai Karakter, Hikmah, Wacana.</strong><strong></strong></p>

This article examines the Islamic cartoon film Nussa and Rara. The author used Nussa and Rara as a window to see the emergence of Islamic cartoon films. Its strengths are in conveying educational values to children and as a learning medium to build character education for children aged 12 years and under. To explain this phenomenon, the author employed the content analysis method and combined it with relevant data; those were strengthened by many research results and literature studies. Through this method, the author showed that Nussa and Rara movie shares Islamic value in each segment, such as the value of honesty, asking for prayers on time, respecting neighbors, and so on. The author tried to see how every figure, especially Umma as Nussa and Rara’s mother, explains and exemplifies how to be a good Muslim. Through this article, it could be concluded that films are not always judged to have a negative impact on the audience. Even films can contribute as a medium for education and dissemination of Islamic da'wah. Besides, through films, it can also contribute to building good character for children under 12 years of age. Some learning methods that can be used are the many steps or methods that can be planted in children, such as the habituation and storytelling methods. These methods can be used to apply the values of faith, moral values, and worship values. Thus, this article greatly contributes to enriching academic discourse related to character learning for children under 12 years of age. This article concluded that the Nussa and Rara cartoon film really strives to spread Islamic da'wah and build children's character from an early age with daily customs and begin to familiarize children to apply the values of Islamic teachings perfectly.

Saint-Exupéry’s The Little Prince is a work of children literature which conceives a lot of life values. The aim of this study is to identify the character education values conceived in The Little Prince. The conceptual framework of this study is the values of character education formulated by Indonesian Ministry of Education. This study used qualitative content analysis method. The results of the analysis found the values of character education in the story of the Little Prince such as religious, tolerant, social care and responsible. This values of character education are related to each other. In The Little Prince religious character is the basis of other characters. Religious character in The Little Prince primarily concerns with the spiritual aspect. The spiritual aspect concerns with establishing and maintaining spiritual relationships. Spiritual relationship with God is unseparable from the relationship with others. It is in the terms of relationships with others that tolerance, caring for others/social care and responsibility have its meaning and importance.Keywords: character, education, values, religious

Penelitian ini berupaya untuk mengkaji pendidikan karakter dan implikasinya yang terdapat pada TafsirAl-Huda. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis isi (content analysis) dengan pendekatan hermeunetika, yakni menafsirkan simbol berupa teks untuk dicari arti dan maknanya. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa Tafsir Al-Huda berperspektif budaya Jawa yang bersifat kultural kontekstual serta akomodatiif dan integratif interkonektif. Tafsir Al-Huda mentransformasikan nilai-nilai budi pekerti Jawa yang merupakan akumulasi dari cipta-rasa-karsa yang diaktualisasi kan ke dalam sikap, kata-kata, dan tingkah laku seseorang. Pendidikan karakter dalam tafsir ini dipandang sebagai aktualisasi iman yang yang merepresentasikan tabiat, watak, akhlak, dan moral, sekaligus mencerminkan sikap batin yang melahirkan akhlak yang baik, rajin beribadah, jernih akal budinya, dan banyak berbuat kebajikan. Tafsir Al-Huda tafsir Al-Qur’an written in Javanese is one of the treasures of Indonesia’s religious and philosophical thought in the context of projecting the struggle between Al-Quran and Javanese cultural heritage possessed by the author. Tafsir Al-Huda exists as a guidebook for the practice of the Qur’an, containing messages of moral values or akhlakul karimah as the main basis for character education. This study sought to examine the educational character and implications contained in Tafsir Al-Huda. This research uses a content analysis method with hermeneutics approach, interpreting the symbols in the form of text to search for meaning and signifi cance. From the results, it can be concluded that the Tafsir Al-Huda contains a Javanese cultural perspective which shows contextual, integrative and accommodative cultural interconnectivity. Tafsir Al-Huda transforms the character values of Java which is an accumulation of the belief and synchronicity actualized into attitudes, words, and behavior. Character education is the actualization of faith that represents the nature, character, and morals, and reflects the attitude of mind that gave birth to good morals, diligent worship, clear minds, and good deeds.
