The development of hospitals in health industry as economic institutions and the establishment of many new hospitals increase the number of nurses needed while the number of nurses produced cannot keep pace with the increasing demand. In hospital services, nurse is the most frequently interacted person with patients and are fully responsible for patient care, including in terms of patient safety. This study aims to obtain empirical evidence about the effect of motivation, training and work environment on the performance of nurses in patient safety in the Public Hospital. Expected output from this study can be used as a reference to determine the policy for nurse management at the hospital. This is a correlational analytic study with a cross-sectional approach and descriptive method of verification. The research was conducted in a Public Hospital in Jakarta. The research sample are 90 nurses working in inpatient wards. The hypothesis of this study were analyzed with path analysis methods. The results of this study showed a significant positive effect between motivation and performance (20.7%), training and performance (21.8%), working environment and performance (20.7%), and the simultaneous influence from motivation, training, and working environment on the performance (63.2% ).

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to assess and examine the impact of physicians-nurses performance on patient perceptions on safety, trust and satisfaction. Design/methodology/approach – A cross-sectional study of 170 inpatients at 78 Chinese hospitals has been conducted. A structured questionnaire covering multiple constructs was used to collect the data. Methodology is described and results are discussed. Findings – Multivariate regression results show that despite the variations in education and training of physicians and nurses, trust is statistically significant in the models with doctors performance and nurses performance as dependent variables. One surprise result is that patient safety is not statistically significant in the regression model with NP as dependent variable. Practical implications – Doctor and nurses as well as other staff at any healthcare setting or ward should provide patients with high-quality and safe healthcare. Competences and performance of physicians and nurses are the primary source of patient safety. Social implications – The patient correlate their patients safety with doctors but not with nurses. On the other hand, they relate their satisfaction more to nurses performance than doctors performance.

Abstract Introduction. Numerous studies have found that organizational features connected with the work environment of nurses have a significant influence on patients' safety. Aim of research. To capture nurses’ opinions about patients' safety and discern relationships with work environment characteristics. Material and methods. This cross-sectional study surveyed 1,825 nurses. The research used questionnaire consisting of four parts: 1/covered The Practice Environment Scale of the Nursing Work Index (PES-NWI), 2/assessed the quality of nursing care and care safety, 3/ contained information on the most recent duty served by the nurses, 4/ captured social and demographic data of participants. Results. The research identified strong association between patient safety assessment and work environment of nurses in the aspect of employment adequacy, cooperation between nurses and doctors, support for nurses from the managing staff, the possibility to participate in the management as well as professional promotion of nurses employed in the hospital (p<0.001). Nurses rated patient safety higher when responsible for a smaller number of patients. Conclusions. Work environment factors such as proper staffing, good cooperation with doctors, support from the management, professional independence as well as a prospect of promotion determine provision of safety for patient according to nurses.

<p><strong>Objectives:  </strong>To explore the relationship between work environment and situational motivation among doctors.</p><p><strong>Methods:  </strong>Cross sectional research design was used and a sample of N = 100 doctors were employed through purposive sampling technique from public hospital of Lahore. Work Environment Survey and The Situational Motivation Scale were used to assess studied variables. Pearson Product moment correlation and hierarchical regression were used to analysis data.</p><p><strong>Results:</strong><strong>  </strong>Mean age of the participants was 33 years and mean education level was 18.38 years. Results showed that work environment has significant negative predicting relation with situational motivation of the doctors.</p><p><strong>Conclusion:</strong><strong>  </strong>Working environment influence doctors’ motivation level. These findings have implications in organizational and educational setting, as it helps public hospital’s administration to address problems in working environment.</p>

We aimed to examine the complex relationships between patient safety processes and outcomes and multimorbidity using a comprehensive set of constructs: multimorbidity, polypharmacy, discordant comorbidity (diseases not sharing either pathogenesis nor management), morbidity burden and patient complexity. We used cross-sectional data from 4782 patients in 69 primary care centres in Spain. We constructed generalized structural equation models to examine the associations between multimorbidity constructs and patient-reported patient safety (PREOS-PC questionnaire). These associations were modelled through direct and indirect (mediated by increased interactions with healthcare) pathways. For women, a consistent association between higher levels of the multimorbidity constructs and lower levels of patient safety was observed via either pathway. The findings for men replicated these observations for polypharmacy, morbidity burden and patient complexity via indirect pathways. However, direct pathways showed unexpected associations between higher levels of multimorbidity and better safety. The consistent association between multimorbidity constructs and worse patient safety among women makes it advisable to target this group for the development of interventions, with particular attention to the role of comorbidity discordance. Further research, particularly qualitative research, is needed for clarifying the complex associations among men.

While a growing literature within the study of subjective well-being demonstrates the impact of socio-political factors on subjective well-being, scholars have conspicuously failed to consider the role of the size and scope of government as determinants of well-being. Where such studies exist, the focus is largely on the advanced industrial democracies of the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development. In this study, we examine the size of the public sector as a determinant of cross-national variation in life satisfaction across a worldwide sample. Our findings strongly suggest that as the public sector grows, subjective well-being increases as well, conditional on the extent of quality of government. Using cross-sectional data on 84 countries, we show this relationship has an independent and separable impact from other economic and political factors.

In this effort, 3D CFD simulations are carried out for real gas flow in a refrigeration centrifugal compressor. Both commercial and the in-house CFD codes are used for steady and unsteady simulations, respectively. The impact on the compressor performance with various volute designs and diffuser modifications are investigated with steady simulations and the analysis is focused on both the diffuser and the volute loss, in addition to the flow distortion at impeller exit. The influence of the tongue, scroll diffusion ratio, diffuser length, and cross sectional area distribution is examined to determine the impact on size and performance. The comparisons of total pressure loss, static pressure recovery, through flow velocity, and the secondary flow patterns for different volute designs show that the performance of the centrifugal compressor depends upon how well the scroll portion of the volute collects the flow from the impeller and achieves the required pressure rise with minimum flow losses in the overall diffusion process. Finally, the best design is selected based on compressor stage pressure rise and peak efficiency improvement. An unsteady simulation of the full wheel compressor stage was carried out to further examine the interaction of impeller, diffuser and the volute. The unsteady flow interactions are shown to have a major impact on the performance of the centrifugal stage.

<p><em>Job burnout issue is an increasingly important phenomenon in Asian countries. </em><em>Based on the model of casual turnover this study assessed the direct effect of organizational commitment on job burnout. The cross sectional data was collected from three hundred five nurses of psychiatric hospitals in Punjab, Pakistan. Structural equation modeling was applied to achieve the objectives. The results revealed that only and normative commitment have significant impact while affective commitment and continuous commitment has not significant effect on nurse’s job burnout.  So, the commitment of nurse to hospital goals, missions, and values is not enough to predict her job burnout in the hospital. This study recommends that future researchers should examine the impact of work environment on job burnout as a </em><em>unidimensional</em><em>. This study contributes socially and economically.</em></p>

Joint Commission International ( JCI ) required the achievement of 100% five moment hand hygiene for the nurses who have provided care to patients. The adherence of five moments hand hygiene has been done to reduce the incidence of nosocomial infections. The adherence of five moments hand hygiene has been determined by inside and outside factors, and one of the inside factors is the motivation. The research is a qualitative research with cross sectional approach. The number of sample is 153 nurses with the proportionate random sampling technique at the Public Hospital of Loekmono Hadi Kudus. The research instruments used the questionaire and observation sheet. The research showed the result of Rank Spearman test p value = 0,000 with r value = 0.296, positive correlation means that the higher the nurse motivation, the higher the nurse aderence of five moment hand hygiene.

ABSTRACTCervical cancer was non communicable desease that worries the public and causes an increase mortality in women. One of the first sign causes of cervical cancer is occourrence of Leucorrhoe. The incidence of Leucorrhoe in women Indonesia by 90% of which >75% of women experience once of leucorrhoe and experience ≥ 2 times by 25%. Leucorrhoe should not be considered an ordinary thing because can be caused to itchy on genetalia, pain during sexsual, infection  can be caused odema on genetalia, hot like burned on vagina even the impact if not treated promptly will caused infertility and cancer. Aims of study was to analyze factors of influenced on Leucorrhoe incident. Design of study was cross sectional study. Population was women of childbearing age who use contraceptives in the karang jeruk village, Jatirejo sub district, Mojokerto district in March of 2017. Sample in this study was 33 people. Data analyze with logistic regresion. Result of study showed contraceptive and sexsual activity has significant influenced with leucorrhoe (PR = 10.000; 95% CI= 1,732-57,722 dan PR=8,750; 95% CI=1,466-52,232). Suggestion: should be married and have first sexual intercourse for the first time at the age of  ≥ 20 years, limit the number of children not more than 2 as the greater the number of children the greater the risk of Leucorrhoe, and not using hormonal contraception for a along time that more than 2 years. Keywords: contraceptive,sexsual activity, leucorrhoe
