A qualitative methodology is followed, and the structured interview is applied as a data collection technique to six students with different disabilities according to the National Disability Council of Ecuador. Among the most relevant conclusions, there is a still an incipient inclusive educational culture, mainly concerned with the physical structure rather than the integration of the different actors of the educational community. In particular, there is a need to strengthen the functions of the Student Counselling Departments, as well as teacher training and support in reinforcing the relationship of trust with students, identification of their particular needs, and an appreciation of the learning value of this group as an intercultural relationship oriented towards educational inclusion and abandonment of welfarism.

Conclusion: The study showed that users are satisfied with the care received in the units although they present ambiguity when it comes to their physical structure. The respondents also failed to conceptualize urgent and emergency, and showed that the cause that led them to seek the healthcare units were changes in blood pressure, diabetes and trauma.

Inclusion is a social and political principle built around the ideal of equality that was embodied in the recognition of equity and ensuring access to opportunities. Education, at different levels of coverage, it is a bridge connecting both aspects. Inclusive education is a process of transformation and accompaniment in which people are formed independently, quality and participation, despite the diversity. This study is part of a line of research that seeks through the use of qualitative methodology phenomenological approach, understand from the speech of eleven students with disabilities and six teachers, how it is unfolding the entry of these in the spaces a public institution of higher education in Venezuela. For this, the semi-structured interview was used content analysis through Atlas. Ti and triangulation of data. They came four categories of analysis (“income” “physical and mental disabilities, an indissoluble line”, “I was told” and “I left out”). The findings set out a shared vision among stakeholders about the juridical equality on the issue of income, but in the case of conditional upon the requirement of an exhibition of a guarantee of success and assisted career choice teachers. practices of exclusion and discrimination were reported in income, which intangible happen in relationships that are established internally and need to be revised. The greatest difficulties appear are around the prosecution and not on income. Both actors agree on the vision of a welfare and income demanding institution, but neglected in the accompaniment and the transformation that should characterize a process of inclusive education.

Malaysia is portrayed as one of the modern and developed Muslim nations. Its rapid modern development in physical structure impressed many people. However, little is known about the situation of its non-physical structure, particularly the religious and normative values. This paper rests on the stance that individuals’ religious values remain despite the nation’s effort towards modernisation, particularly in the relations of women and profession. To achieve the purpose, this article explores the paradoxes relating to the intricate relationships between the traditional feminine social expectations and modern engineering profession experienced by Muslim female engineers and students in Malaysia. The research is a structured interview design on thirty-six Muslim female engineers and engineering students. It found that there were potential self-presentation crises, particularly when women participated in a male-dominated workplace. The gendering issues in engineering overwhelmingly projected the collision between modernism and traditionalism. Such a blending situation depended on very careful management as being women with a clear expectation towards traditional feminine roles and responsibilities, while at the same time they have to present themselves in a business-like, modern manner in terms of competence, commitment and ambitious targets to claim a rightful place in the engineering world. Modernisation has not been able to change women’s traditional attitude. Though they may be modernised, educated and professional, these women are still traditional at heart.

Measures adopted by educational systems to improve and adapt the educational response of pupils with disability or diversity conditions arising from their personal and social conditions, have enabled them to gain tenure throughout the various stages of education. Educational institutions have been progressively adapting and responding to the educational needs of students who start university, and this fact highlights the lack of inclusive culture in university institutions. The lack of training of university teachers in the educational response to the needs of students with disabilities is evidenced by the high dropout rates of this group and in successive complaints of teachers who do not have the skills or tools to cope with this situation successfully. The review of a set of 75 programs developed by different Spanish universities to meet the needs of these students shows an insufficient institutional and administrative response while reflecting the lack of unity of jointly developed criteria.

To contain the COVID-19 pandemic, governments all over the world implemented strong lockdown measures to a large part of the population, including the closing of educational centres. Teachers were urged to transform their teaching methodology, moving from a face-to-face model to an emergency remote education (ERE) model, characterised by the use of technologies to continue with lectures and maintain the physical distance with the students. The aim of the present study was to analyse the existence of socio-digital inequalities and the educational challenges posed by the development of an ERE model, hence, contributing to the literature by proposing a systematic and holistic approach on this phenomenon. Based on the characteristics of the research problem and the objectives set, a qualitative methodology was applied. On the one hand, a semi-structured interview was conducted with 136 active teachers as the main data gathering technique. On the other hand, grounded theory was key in interpreting the results, with the aim of generating the theory in a systematic and holistic manner. It can be asserted that ERE was very useful during the lockdown of schools, and its potential to transform education was demonstrated. However, it was also shown that the development of an ERE model can cause socio-digital inequalities among students, due to the lack of access to digital devices and Internet connection, mainly due to factors, such as the socio-educational level of the family and the rural or urban context of the centre.

The semi-structured interview was used as a data collection technique. The discourses were subjected to content analysis, following the steps of Grounded Theory. The results highlight the abundant fears related to use of water during menstruation, with very harmful effects to health. The relationship between school integration and special educational needs (hereinafter: SEN) is analyzed in the framework of an international resarch in this study. In the theoretical part the process of segregation, integration and inclusion is introduced, and also the use of the concepts is dicussed. The integration in the school system means the approach and practice against segregated education of students with disabilities with the aim to eliminate segregated education. SEN is not a diagnostic but an educational concept, and the its special pedagogy and legal term do not coincide. The research was extended to Ukrainian (the Transcarparthian n=280), Polish (n=271) and Hungarian students (n=552). The results show that school inclusion and social support are increased by school success. Success can increase the self-esteem of students with learning problems, which co-occures with the subjective perception of increasing social support and decreasing exclusion.
