This article shows us the ways which help to form student’s skills of self-education. It analyses motives which induce future teachers to independence in the training in the university. Successful learning of students, first of all, depends on the development of their professional orientation. High professional orientation of students, readiness to consciously form professional qualities is a necessary condition for training competent professionals. However, in the first semester the student is focused on gaining a foothold as a student. As a result, there is a need to pay attention to learning motivation which affects the attitude to learning and determines the optimal course of the process of adaptation of students.            Therefore, in order for students to study carefully and effectively, they must be interested in learning, show interest in it. It is well known that a large percentage of freshmen at the beginning of training feel insecurity and anxiety, which are the reason for lowering the level of demands and self-esteem of personal qualities. The experience of success-failure in the activity affects its quality and desire to continue to pay attention to it. The formation of motivation for independent learning of students eliminates inertia in the self-activation of mental activity and promotes the formation of professional motivation. Its components are: the ability to maintain and implement their own positive motives and needs in learning; knowledge of the peculiarities of the educational process in university, the main functions of various forms of education; the ability to build their activities purposefully.

The current situation in the youth segment of the labour market is characterized by high unemployment and instability. The mechanisms regulating relations between the labour market and the educational services market do not ensure that the educational process of young people meets the needs and requirements of employers. In this regard, a necessary condition today is to improve the mechanisms with greater adaptive capacity, which would effectively solve the problem of youth employment. Thus, the purpose of this article is to study the practical mechanisms used in the UrFU to improve the adaptive capacity of young professionals and to assess the views of graduates on their application in the University. To this end, the empirical material obtained in the study of the opinion of students aged 20 to 21 years, on the basis of UrFU in Yekaterinburg, was analyzed using the questionnaire method. The relevance of the study is due to the existence of the problem of adaptation of young people in the labor market, which requires improvement, and is enhanced by the fact that it has a practical orientation. The materials of the work can be used in subsequent research of the youth segment of the labor market, as well as in the preparation of textbooks and reading training courses in universities on the basics of employment technologies and the effective behavior of young people in the labor market. The results of the study showed: 1. UrFU pays special attention to the promotion of employment and adaptation in the labor market of graduates, using mechanisms that have a more General (universal) character, but do not contain targeted (individual) assistance to graduates. 2. To solve the identified problems, the authors develop a special training course «technology of effective employment», aimed at improving the adaptive capacity of graduates of UrFU.

All participants in educational relations are worried about the problem how to improve the quality of education, with everyone representing it through the prism of their value system. In this connection there is a need to structure these representations. It is necessary to begin with bringing into a unified system the representations of education direct customers – students. The aim of our article is to analyze how pedagogical university students perceive the quality of their education. On the basis of the survey involving 117 respondents from Elabuga Institute of Kazan Federal University (Elabuga, Republic of Tatarstan) and the Northeast Federal University named after M.K. Ammosov (Yakutsk, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)) we analyzed such criteria as quality of teaching, quality of learning, formation of universal competencies, personal qualities necessary for modern teachers and the creation of appropriate conditions by a university (digitalization of the educational environment, academic mobility) for students’ self-development. The t-Student criterion was used to determine the differences between the respondents’ competencies, knowledge, abilities, skills and qualities that they had possessed before entering the university and those that were formed during the university study. The obtained data indicate a high assessment of the quality of education by the students. The results also showed the educational process strong and weak points that students of the two federal universities face. Thus, focusing on one of the customers’ (students’) views will allow teachers to manage the educational process effectively and improve its quality.

Different methods of training highly qualified personnel are also shown. The authors have identified the main trajectories of interaction between the University and the professional community of social workers which are determined by the content of educational standards. They include the formation of the educational programme, the involvement of social workers in the educational process, the provision of employment, postgraduate training of personnel. The article pays special attention to the problems of profiling educational programs at universities in small regions. The authors believe that the narrow definition of educational program specialization is connected with the potential lack of demand for personnel while a shortage in specialists is maintained.
