Digital technologies are rapidly changing the process of education. Online courses have become a common tool of gaining knowledge outside the university. Multimedia education, penetrating traditional educational institutions (schools, colleges, and universities), changes the structure of education and brings new elements to the communications during the educational process. This article considers one level of change in the model of education. On the one hand, there are advantages associated with the democratization of education. At the time of their foundation, universities were the creators of new elites – scientific and educational meanwhile, in the twenty-first century, the process of democratization and the accessibility of university education has been linked to the digitalization. On the other hand, territorial and other restrictions have been lifted. And this is a very controversial process that poses many challenges for students, one of the most noticeable of which is the lack of real contact with the teacher and the transformation of the educational process into an ”educational conveyor belt.” At the same time, personal contact with the teacher is becoming more expensive. The authors have collected studies that examine the dynamics of this emerging stratification of education. Based on the work of the pioneers in the study of digital education, the authors develop their ideas, focusing on the formation of the modern models of education, defined as affordable electronic and elite traditional. Keywords: online courses, online education, MOOC

This article shows us the ways which help to form student’s skills of self-education. It analyses motives which induce future teachers to independence in the training in the university. Successful learning of students, first of all, depends on the development of their professional orientation. High professional orientation of students, readiness to consciously form professional qualities is a necessary condition for training competent professionals. However, in the first semester the student is focused on gaining a foothold as a student. As a result, there is a need to pay attention to learning motivation which affects the attitude to learning and determines the optimal course of the process of adaptation of students.            Therefore, in order for students to study carefully and effectively, they must be interested in learning, show interest in it. It is well known that a large percentage of freshmen at the beginning of training feel insecurity and anxiety, which are the reason for lowering the level of demands and self-esteem of personal qualities. The experience of success-failure in the activity affects its quality and desire to continue to pay attention to it. The formation of motivation for independent learning of students eliminates inertia in the self-activation of mental activity and promotes the formation of professional motivation. Its components are: the ability to maintain and implement their own positive motives and needs in learning; knowledge of the peculiarities of the educational process in university, the main functions of various forms of education; the ability to build their activities purposefully.

The article was prepared on the basis of a field study implemented at Udmurt State University as a part of the research project “Transitive University in the Face of Global, National, and Regional Challenges”. The article considers the results of a survey related to the assessment by the teaching staff of the ways of interacting with regional subjects of the social order. 75% of respondents acknowledge the risks associated with educational and labor migration of young people from the Udmurt Republic. Professors mainly form competencies within the framework of the regular educational process: they select the topics of students’ term papers and graduate work in accordance with the needs of the region, take into account the needs of the labor market in the content of classes, participate in the organization of practices and help students to find employment in the regional labor market. According to professors, the most important role of the university is to participate in the development of the region along with large organizations and branches of government. A cooperative approach prevails, in which the university plays the role of a partner, not a driver. Professors rated the interaction of the university administration with state authorities of the Udmurt Republic as satisfactory – the average score was 3.1 points out of 5. Prospects for the development of the university are seen by the professors in four directions: orientation to the regional labor market, interaction with employers; scientific and innovative activities; digitalization and informatization of educational and administrative processes; development of international cooperation. Pessimism prevails in the responses of professors about the hopes for cooperation with authorities and business in the region, which requires a separate study, since it can be caused by a number of factors. As suggestions to the leadership of the university, the professors indicated: the need for more active interaction between the university administration and the leadership of the region and business, involving the university in regional projects, identifying the needs of the region and stimulating the leadership of institutions to form new directions in the scientific and educational sector, taking into account the prospects for the development of the republic. The study revealed two obvious facts. Firstly, professors are aware of the important role of the university and even support this idea as a strategic one. In other words, they show willingness. Secondly, professors, most likely, expect the initiative of active interaction with the labor market and regional authorities from the leadership of the university. In other words, they do not translate preparedness into action, awaiting action on the part of management.

Based on the analysis of studies related to the transformation of the training format during the pandemic, the authors identified the main markers that contribute to the manifestations of anxiety and a decrease in stress resistance. The aim of the study was to determine the specifics of anxiety and stress resistance of Russian and Chinese students during the period of online studying. A cross-cultural empirical study was organized by the authors of the article, in which Russian and Chinese students took part. In total, the sample consisted of 80 students: 40 Russian students (20 boys and 20 girls) and 40 Chinese students (20 boys and 20 girls) enrolled in 2-3 undergraduate courses at the age of 18 to 25 years. The evolution of social relations at the present stage requires teachers to work in the field of higher education to develop skills in using information resources and digital technologies. The intensity of communication in the information sphere determines the effectiveness of not only the learning process at the university, but also to a large extent, the secondary socialization of young people. The article deals with the problem of using information resources and digital technologies by teachers of Kazakh universities (on the example of the Karaganda region). The article is based on the data of a sociological survey (questionnaire survey) conducted at the universities of the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effectiveness of the use of information technologies and resources in the process of studying at universities and to develop practical recommendations to improve the effectiveness of training. According to the results of the study, it has been found out that the development of the information and communication sphere in universities is influenced by "objective" and "subjective" factors. The first ones are connected with shortcomings in the technical support of the educational process, the second ones– with some teachers’ lack of awareness of the modern Internet resources in their professional field. The identified problems can be overcome with the help of measures aimed at increasing teachers' awareness of available information resources, increasing the speed of the Internet connection and general technical equipment of universities
