ABSTRACT Stunting is a condition of failure in the growth period (body and brain) of toddlers due to long-term malnutrition. The incidence of stunting can inhibit motor development in children. WHO data for 2019 states, that 21.3% of all toddlers in the world are stunted. The prevalence of stunting for the South-eastern Asia region in 2020 is 24.1 with an estimated number of stunting cases of 13.5 million cases. In Indonesia, it is known that 11.5% of toddlers are very short and 19.3% are short. In West Sumatra, there are 9.6% very short children under five and 20.3% short children. The percentage of stunting cases in Pasaman Regency was 25.1% and stunting cases was quite high in the working area of Puskesmas Pegang Baru, Pasaman Regency ( 16.8%) . This study aims to analyze the differences in motor development between stunting and normal toddlers in the working area of Puskesmas Pegang Baru, Pasaman Regency. This type of research is analytic with the approach used cross sectional study. The number of samples in the study were 130 toddlers. Motor development data were obtained through the KPSP format. The statistical test used was the chi square test. The results showed that there were differences in the development of fine morotic (p-value = 0,000) and gross morotic (p-value = 0.002) between stunting and normal toddlers. Therefore it is very necessary to monitor the growth and development of toddlers on a regular basis according to the age of the toddler, so as to minimize the occurrence of disruption to growth and development in toddlers.

Infancy is a golden and critical period in the cycle of life. In this period, an infant that is not provided with exclusive breastfeeding has 14 times higher risk to death compared with an infant that is provided with exclusive breastfeeding. Malnutrition in the first year causes reduced brain cells up to 15-20% which leads to impaired growth and development of infant. Exclusive breastfeeding can fulfill the need for nutrients within the first 6 months of life. The objective of this study was to analyze the difference in growth and development of infants at the age of 6-12 months based on breastfeeding in the working area of Puskesmas Perawatan Ngkeran, Aceh Tenggara Regency. This is used comparative analytical resaerch with cross sectional design. The sample was 124 infants consisting of 62 infants with exclusive breastfeeding and 62 non exclusive breastfeeding, taken by purposive sampling. The data were collected by using questionnaires through interviews, measurement and observation. They were analyzed using chi square and logistic regression testing for confounding check. The results showed that there was a significant difference in growth and development of infants based on breastfeeding (p value=0.000) with prevalence ratio (PR)=4.167 (95%CI: 1.867-9.301), which indicated that the infant who did not get exclusive breastfeeding had 4.167 times higher risk to experience bad growth and development. Based on the examination of confounding variable found that food supplementation was the variable with the risk that influences infant’s growth and development. Mothers are expected to practice exclusive breastfeeding, health practitioners are suggested to conduct more counseling of exclusive breastfeeding for pregnant mothers, to have early breastfeeding initiation, to create supporting groups of exclusive breastfeeding and to issue health policy of exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract: Routine blood examination is the earliest blood test or screening test to determine the diagnosis of an abnormality. Blood easily froze if it is outside the body and can be prevented by the addition of anticoagulants, one of which Ethylene Diamine Tetra Acetate (EDTA). Currently available vacuum tubes containing EDTA anticoagulants in the form of K2EDTA and K3EDTA. K3EDTA is usually a salt that has better stability than other EDTA salts because it shows a pH approaching a blood pH of about 6.4. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of erythrocyte index results include MCH, MCV and MCHC using K3EDTA anticoagulant with K2EDTA. This research is a cross sectional design. This study used venous blood samples mixed with K2EDTA anticoagulant and venous blood mixed with K3EDTA anticoagulants, each of 30 samples. Data were collected and analyzed using paired different test. Based on data analysis that has been done on MCH examination, p value <0,05 then there is a significant difference between samples with K3EDTA anticoagulant with K2EDTA to erythrocyte index value. Then on the examination of MCV and MCHC obtained p value <0.05 then there is no significant difference between samples with K3EDTA anticoagulant with K2EDTA to erythrocyte index value.

BACKGROUND: Safety climate is a common insight of staff that indicates individuals’ attitudes toward safety and priority of safety at work. OBJECTIVES: Nursing is a risky job where paying attention to safety is crucial. The assessment of the safety climate is one of the methods to measure the safety conditions in this occupation. The aim of this study was to assess the safety climate of rehabilitation nurses working in hospitals in Tehran. METHODS: This is a cross-sectional study which was carried out on 140 rehabilitation nurses selected from all hospitals and clinics in Tehran in 2019. To collect the required data, a two-section questionnaire was used. The first section was related to demographic factors and the second part (22 statements) was to measure the safety climate using nurses’ safety climate assessment questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS V16 using independent t-test, ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney U test at the 5% level. RESULTS: Findings showed that the total mean of safety climate was 3.06±0.56. According to the results, a significant difference was found between the positive and negative satisfaction of nurses with safety climates (P-value = 0.03), communication with nurses (P-value = 0.01) and supervisors’ attitude (P-value = 0.02). Furthermore, a significant difference in safety climate between the individual with the second job and the individual without second could be observed (P-value = 0.01). CONCLUSIONS: The results indicated that the safety climate was not at an acceptable level. Thus, it is essential to introduce safety training courses (e.g. safety, work-rest balance, and so on) and to improve the safety performance at work.

Introduction: The primary attachment figure is mostly defined as the mother, and studies focus on the mother. However, in many babies, basic attachment is just as good with the father as with the mother. It is seen that there are very few studies in the literature investigating the correlations of father-infant attachment relationships.. The aim of this study is to determine the father-infant attachment status and to determine the factors affecting attachment. Method: The population of the cross-sectional study consisted of the spouses of all puerperant women hospitalized in the Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic between September 1, 2018 and October 1, 2018. The sample size consisted of 156 fathers who agreed to participate in the study. Father identification form and father-infant attachment scale were used to collect the study data. The analysis of the data obtained from the research was carried out on the computer using the SPSS 16.0 package program. Results: 156 fathers participated in the study. The mean age of the fathers is 33.64±6.49, and 38.5% of them have a bachelor's degree. 91.0% of fathers stated that they felt ready for fatherhood. The fathers' Father-Infant Attachment Scale mean score was 82.60±7.72 In the analysis, the difference between the variables and the total score of the scale was found to be statistically insignificant (p>0.05). Discussion and Conclusion: At the end of the study, the bonding process of fathers participating in the study with their babies and the factors affecting this process were evaluated and it was seen that the father-infant attachment scale mean scores of the fathers participating in the study were high and were similar to other studies. In addition, when the basic factors affecting father-infant attachment were compared with the attachment scale mean score, it was found that there was no statistically significant difference.
