Critical thinking is reasonable reflective thinking focused on deciding what to believe or do. The upper three levels of Blooms taxonomy of educational objectives (analysis, synthesis, and evaluation) are part of critical thinking. Purpose of this research was to improve critical thinking of tenth grade secondary students through Cooperative Learning Number Head Together (NHT). Type of this research was classroom action research. Subjects were 40 students of class X-6 MAN 2 Model Medan in year academic 2013/2014. This research had two cycles with three strategies to collecting data: experiencing, enquiring and examining. Researcher reflected students critical thinking through observation, test, interviews, and students records, before Cooperative Learning Numbered Head Together (NHT) is adopted in classroom. Data analysis was done by quantitative and qualitative approach. Based on data analysis, it shows that students critical thinking are increase from score percentage 32,42% at low level (before cyclus I) to 49,13% at medium level (after cyclus I) and 55,63% at medium level (after cyslus II). It can be concluded that students critical thinking can be improved by implementing cooperative learning numbered head together in the classroom.

The purpose of this study to enhance the activity and achievement in the Javanese language for the reading material of legend using cooperative learning methods Numbered Heads Together (NHT). This study used a two-cycle classroom action research. Subjects in this study were 32 students of class VIII E SMPN 8 Surakarta in the 2015/2016 school year, consisiting of 18 girls and 14 boys. The research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle has four phases: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. In the first cycle the researcher used NHT without media and in Cycle II,  NHT was used with instructional media. Results of the study showed increased percentage of the motivation to learn the Javanese language to read the Legend. Description of the achievement included: listening and attention to the teacher's explanations was 34.38%; encouragement to ask and express opinions was 31.25%; and the ecouragement to present results of group discussions in class was 59.38%.l

Purpose of this research is to find out whether there is an influence of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) type of cooperative learning method on the mathematics learning achievement of Grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Weru Sukoharjo in the 2018/2019 school year. This research is a simple experimental research. Population of this research is VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Weru Sukoharjo in the 2018/2019 school year which is divided into 9 classes. Sample in this study was taken by cluster random sampling research subjects consisting of 2 classes, namely class VIII G as an experimental class with a total of 30 students and class VIII F as a control class with a total of 32 students, the discussion material in this study was the pythagorean theorem. Results showed the average of the experimental class and the control class differed, in other words there was an influence of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) type of cooperative learning method on the mathematics learning achievement of Grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Weru in the academic year 2018/2019 Sukoharjo Regency.

The problem formulation of this research is the Application of Expository Model with Demonstration Method and Giving Assignments to improve mathematics learning achievement of students of class IXC semester I of SMP Negeri 3 Selat, 2016/2017 school year. The purpose of this study was to improve mathematics learning achievement of students of class IXC of SMP Negeri 3 Selat in the first semester, 2016/2017 school year. The place for this class action research is at SMP Negeri 3 Selat, by taking the research subjects of class IXC students in the first semester of 2016/2017 school year. The object of this class action research is an increase in Mathematics learning achievement of students of class IXC Middle School 3 Strait, 2016/2017 academic year. The initial average value of 69.83 rose to 74.67 in the first cycle and in the second cycle rose to 75.64. The expository model with demonstration and assignment methods is very effective to be applied in the learning process that results in active, enthusiastic, critical thinking students and can understand the material being taught so that students' learning achievement increases.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of cooperative learning model numbered heads together and realistic mathematics education. This type of research was a Classroom Action Research. These activities were conducted in two cycles. At first cycle, learning was carried out using NHT learning model and realistic mathematics education. Then the second cycle was carried out to fix anything that wasn’t right. The results of this study were increasing the percentage of students learning, from 34,5% in Pre Cycle, to 75,86% at the end of Cycle I, and became 93,1% at the end of Cycle II. Another improvement occurred in the activities of students and teachers. All of these improvements are certainly due to the presence of improvements during the learning process carried out by teachers and researcher over the last two cycles. The conclusion of this study is that cooperative learning with Numbered Heads Together Model and Realistic Mathematics Education can improve learning achievement in teaching mathematics.

This study aimed to describe the implementation of the cooperative learning model of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) to improve mathematics learning outcomes. This research was a participatory and collaborative classroom action research conducted between researchers and teachers. The research subjects were teachers and 28 students grade IV A students at MI Al-Huda Karangnongko Yogyakarta. Data have been collected through observation, interviews, tests, and documentation, those further analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that learning mathematics using the NHT model could improve students' learning outcomes. This was indicated by an increase of learning outcomes percentage by 10.71% in pre-action, 53.57% in cycle I, and 92.86% in cycle II. The increase in the average of the evaluation test in the pre-action was 55.36 with the lowest score was 0 and the highest was 80, the first cycle was 72.86 with the lowest score was 0 and the highest was 100. The second cycle was 89.64 with the lowest score was 50 and the highest was 80 by minimum completeness criteria was 75. Therefore, NHT could improve students' mathematics learning outcomes.

This research is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles where each cycle consists of four stages, namely the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each cycle consists of 3 meetings.     This study aims to determine whether using power point media in PBM can improve Mathematics learning achievement in Class III-A Students at SD Negeri 11 Cakranegara Semester I Academic Year 2017/2018. The place of research in SD Negeri 11 Cakranegara, for 6 (six) months from July to December 2017 with research subjects of class III-A students totaling 27 people.     Data collection techniques used by observation, evaluation, and documentation. While the data analysis technique is qualitative descriptive. In the study, the final success indicator for student learning achievement was set at 85% of students reaching 70. The indicator was reached in the second cycle, so the action research was carried out in 2 cycles where each cycle consisted of 3 (three) meetings.     The results of the study showed that after the use of power point media in PBM, the student learning achievement increased by 8.7% with an average value in the first cycle of 68.15 and in the second cycle it increased to 76.85. While for learning completeness there was an increase of 29.63% from the first cycle of 62.96% and in the second cycle it increased to 92.59%. Thus, the use of Power point media in PBM can effectively improve student achievement, especially students of class III-A on Mathematics subjects at SD Negeri 11 Cakranegara.
