This article was to find out about the effectiveness of applying dictogloss technique on students’ narrative text. A Quasi-Experimental design was used in this method, with using pre-test and post test design. Subject of this research was at the eleventh grade  at state senior high 10 Bandar Lampung.  The result of this study showed that the value of to  (tobservation ) was 5.2. The value of t table with degree of freedom 38 in significance degree 5 % was 2.02 and in significance degree 1% was 2.71. It indicated that to was higher than or 2.02 < 5.26 > 2.71. for those analysis, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and t alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Hence, it was inferred that there were significant difference between students’ narrative writing score who were taught by dictoglos technique. This study was aimed at finding out whether there is a significant effect of Total Physical Response (TPR) method on students’ speaking achievement. The research question addressed was “is there  any  significant  effect  of  Total  Physical  Response  (TPR) method on students’ speaking achievement?” The design of study was quasi experimental design by using two classes, namely experimental class and control class. This study involved the ninth grade students of SMPN 1 Kabawo who were registered in the academic year 2017/2018. The instrument of the study was oral test where the students performed in front of the class orally about how to make a glass of ice lemon in 3 minutes. The study used independent sample t- test to analyze the data. The result showed that the students’ speaking score in experimental class (3.12) was higher than students’ speaking score in control class (2.23). The result of hypothesis testing revealed that the level of significant was 0.00. It means that there was a significant difference on students’ speaking achievement after being taught by using total physical response. Keywords: Speaking, Teaching Speaking, Total Physical Response

This study aimed at finding out whether there is a significant effect of integrating scrabble into numbered heads together at grade seven of SMP Negeri 12 Konawe Selatan or not. The research was conducted to answer the following question “Is there any significant effect of integrating scrabble into numbered heads together on students’ vocabulary achievement at grade seven of SMP Negeri 12 Konawe Selatan?”. The hypothesis of this research is “There is a significant effect of integrating scrabble into numbered heads together on students’ vocabulary achievement at grade seven of SMP Negeri 12 Konawe Selatan”. This research used quasi experimental design with population was all grade seven students at SMP   Negeri   12   Konawe   Selatan in academic year 2018/2019. The samples of this research were class VIIE as the experimental class and VIIB as control class. The experimental class consist of 28 students and control class consist of 26 students. The research instrument was 40 questions of vocabulary test. Collecting the data, the researcher gave pre-test, taught integrating scrabble into numbered heads together, and giving post-test. The result show that students’ mean score in experimental class are 55.21 at pre-test and 75.13 at post-test, while students’ mean score in control class are 55.61 in pre-test and 64.93 in post-test. Based on the calculation of T-test, it shows that the score of tcount  = 5.636 is higher than ttable  = 2.007 and the pvalue= 0.000 is lower than   = 0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis is rejected and H is accepted. This can be conclude that there is a significant effect of integrating scrabble into numbered heads together on students’ vocabulary achievement at grade seven students of SMP Negeri 12 Konawe Selatan. Keywords: Scrabble, numbered heads together, vocabulary achievement

Environmentally friendly mosquitoes trap using common daily materials used by community may give hopes in reducing mosquitoes density. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of environmentally friendly mosquitoes trap made from bottle contained sugar yeast solution for reducing the number of trapped mosquitoes. This study consist of two phases and quasi experimental design was used. Mann Whitney test was used to determine the differences the number of trapped mosquitoes indoor and outdoor. The result showed p value 0,000 which was lower than ? value (0,05), so there was significant difference between the number of indoor and outdoor trapped mosquitoes. The average Rank score of outdoor mosquitoes trap (42,75) was more than indoor mosquitoes trap (18,25). We concluded that the mosquitoes trapped which contained of sugar-yeast solution was effective for trapping the mosquitoes especially outdoor .

The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of Wholesome Scattering Game in improving students’ writing skills on descriptive text and to find out whether there is a significant difference between students who were taught by using Wholesome Scattering Game and the students who were not. This research used quantitative approach focusing on experimental research which was conducted at SMAN 2 Sungaiselan in academic year 2019/2020. The researcher used purposive sampling technique and two classes were taken as samples, with 69 students (35 students for the control group and 34 students for the  experimental). The result of the test was analyzed by using statistical analysis of Paired sample t-test and Independent sample t-test. The finding showed that the students who were taught by using Wholesome Scattering Game got higher score than those who were taught by using non-Wholesome Scattering Game. It means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, while the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. It could be concluded that there was a significant difference between students who were taught by using Wholesome Scattering Game and the students who were taught without using Wholesome Scattering Game.

The quest for better strategies in teaching is a never-ending process. This scenario is heightened more by the myriad online instructional materials fit for classroom use. The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of video lecture materials for statistics proficiency of first year students of Davao Doctors College. The researchers employed quasi-experimental design that involved purposively chosen 31 students for the control group and 26 students for the experimental group. The control group received traditional instruction while the experimental group utilized video lecture materials as the instructional tool. The questionnaire consisted 50 multiple choice items and established a reliability index of .82. This investigation used t-test analysis to establish the same level of statistics proficiency among the students before the conduct of the study. The study concluded that both learning strategies were effective in teaching students the basic concepts of statistics as indicated by the significant improvement of their pre-test to posttest scores. Although the posttest results of the students who were taught using video lecture materials were higher than those supervised using lecture method, the significance of this difference was never established. Thus, the use of video learning material as an instructional tool in statistics is equally effective with the traditional lecture method. Keywords - Mathematics education, video lecture material, effectiveness, statisticsproficiency, quasi-experimental design, significant difference, t-test, Philippines
