Introduction. The most susceptible to lead is the hematopoietic system of hematopoietic organs due to lead inhibition of heme and globin synthesis and cytotoxic effect on the membrane of Mature red blood cells. The aim of study was to evaluate the informative value of the study of erythrocyte and reticulocyte parameters determined on modern hematological analyzers in patients working in contact with lead during medical and biological monitoring. Materials and methods. 45 employees of the lead battery processing plant and 30 persons of control group were examined. The level of lead in the blood was determined by atomic absorption spectrometry, δ-ALA in the urine-by the reaction of pyrol formation with acetylacetone in terms of gram of creatinine, the study of hematological parameters was performed on a Sysmex HT-2000i analyzer. Statistical processing of the results was performed using the program STATISTICA 10.0. Results. Significant changes in erythrocytic (RDW) and reticulocytic (RET, IRF, LFR, MFR, HFR, RET-He) parameters, erythropoietin in workers in contact with lead compared to the control group, changes in MCV, MCH, RDW, RET indicators in the group working in dynamics after 2 years were revealed. Associations of hematological parameters with biomarkers of exposure and effect (lead level in blood and ALA in urine) were revealed. Conclusions. Assessment of erythrocyte (MCV, MCH, RDW) and reticulocyte parameters (RET% and their distribution by maturity) in dynamics during periodic medical examinations of workers in contact with lead allows us to detect the development of hematological disorders at early stages.

Summary Background: It has been reported that obesity is associated with metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, cardiovascular risk but also with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The prevalence of obesity in children and adolescents is increasing rapidly all over the world. The aim of this study was to analyze the value of liver enzymes: AST, ALT and γGT in a group of obese students in order to establish their correlation to anthropometric parameters such as: BMI (body mass index), WC (waist circumference), HC (hip circumference), and WHR (waist-to-hip ratio) compared to non-obese students who comprised the control group (CG). Methods: In this study, 238 students from the University of Novi Sad of both sexes (126 men and 112 women) with a mean age of 22.32 ± 1.85 years were included. According to the body mass index (BMI) lower and higher than 25 kg/m2 and waist circumference (WC) lower and higher than 94 cm (80 cm for females) the whole group of 238 students was divided into 2 subgroups: the obese group at increased risk for CVD (Group 1) and the group at lower risk for CVD (Group 2). AST, ALT and γGT activities were determined in fasting blood samples. Results: Statistical processing data revealed significantly higher values of AST, ALT and γGT in the group of students with BMI>25 kg/m2, WC>94 cm for males and WC>80 cm for females, HC>108 cm for males and HC>111 cm for females, and WHR>0.90 for males and WHR>0.80 for females (P<0.001). Significant association was established between anthropometric parameters and liver enzyme levels (P<0.0001). Conclusions: Obese students with higher BMI, WC, HC and WHR values have higher liver enzyme activites and a higher chance to develop NAFLD in the future.

Relevance. Modern turkey crosses have a genetically determined high growth rate. These farm birds are very sensitive to even minor fluctuations in their diet, are susceptible to a deficiency of amino acids, protein, mineral elements and vitamins, which can contribute to a decrease in their productivity, the development of pathological processes and diseases. The use of modern technologies and scientific achievements has made it possible to prepare a new product — modified zeolite. This natural mineral is already free of impurities and microbes, with open pore windows, has a high ability to selectively exchange, and is obtained by various methods of activating zeolite in industrial conditions. At the same time, Ulyanovsk specialists have mastered the technology of enriching modified zeolite with useful substances.Methods. The aim of the work was to study the effect on the body of turkeys and the level of their productivity of additives based on modified zeolite enriched with amino acids. The experiment was organized for 60 days on 250 turkeys of the breed Hybrid Cread-mayker aged 55–60 days in the conditions of the Ulyanovsk region. The control group received the main ration (MR), the experimental group was given once a day in addition to the MR in the morning feeding in a mixture with mixed feed 5% additives of modified zeolite enriched with amino acids.Results. The inclusion of a supplement based on modified zeolite enriched with amino acids in the diet of turkeys does not have a negative effect on the hematological parameters of their blood, all indicators corresponded to the physiological norm. During the experiment in the 2nd group, the live weight of poultry was obtained larger by 8.70%, which amounted to 12,296 kg, respectively, more profit was obtained from the sale of turkey meat, total revenue was 133,210, and additional profit was 27,960 rubles, 2.41 rubles of profit was received for 1 ruble of costs. Тhe data indicate the normalization of mineral homeostasis in the body of turkeys and better absorption of nutrients in the feed diet.

Today in modern medicine the study of human health is reoriented to the individual principle, which is based on the identification and study of constitutionally determined patterns of manifestation of certain diseases. The purpose of the study is to establish and analyze the features of the girth body sizes in men and women with generalized fatty form of seborrheic dermatitis of varying severity. The comprehensive body size of 40 men and 40 young women (25-44 years) with generalized fatty seborrheic dermatitis (mild and severe) was determined. The control group consisted of the girth sizes of practically healthy men (n=82) and women (n=154) of the same age group, which were selected from the database of the research center National Pirogov Memorial Medical University. Statistical processing of body circumference was performed in the licensed package “Statistica 6.0” using non-parametric evaluation methods. As a result of studies in patients with seborrheic dermatitis of varying severity of men, compared with practically healthy men, found only greater values of the girth of the shoulder in a relaxed state and thighs, neck (only mild), shin in the upper part and waist (in both cases only with a severe degree), as well as smaller values of the girth of the shoulder in a tense state; and in patients of varying severity of women – greater values of the girth of the shoulder in a relaxed state, thighs, lower legs, neck, waist and all girths of the chest and both thighs (only severe), as well as smaller values of the girth of the hand (only with mild). In both men and women with seborrheic dermatitis, differences in girth body sizes are more pronounced in people with severe disease. Between men or women with seborrheic dermatitis of varying severity, there are no significant or trends in differences in girth body sizes. In the analysis of the manifestations of sexual dimorphism of the circumferential body size between men and women with seborrheic dermatitis found greater values in men with mild and severe disease of the upper extremities, hands, shin, feet and neck (in most cases more pronounced in representatives with mild severity), as well as only in men with mild severity – greater values of all chest girths. For a more correct understanding of changes in girth body sizes in Ukrainian men or women with seborrheic dermatitis of varying severity, it is necessary to analyze other constitutional parameters of the body.

The article presents the results of clinical examination of periodontal tissues in adolescents against the background of alimentary-constitutional obesity. The aim of the study – to investigate the features of the course of diseases of the periodontal tissue according to clinical indices in persons with alimentary-constitutional obesity.Materials and Methods. As a result of the survey, 95 adolescents aged 16–18 years old were included to study the features of the course of infl ammatory diseases of periodontal tissues in adolescents with alimentary-constitutional obesity 76 adolescents and 19 adolescents with harmonious physical development. To clarify the diagnosis, «excessive body weight» was determined by weight and height of the patient, and measured the circumference of the waist and hips. In the future, the body mass index (BMI) was calculated as the ratio of body weight in kg to square of growth in m2. Diagnosis of excess body weight was confi rmed with BMI less than 30kg/m2. The evaluation of the condition of periodontal tissues was carried out according to subjective and objective criteria (clinical parameters, index score). For the verifi cation of the pathological process in the periodontium, the classifi cation of M. F. Danilevskyi (1994) was used. The state of periodontal tissues was described using a traditional index score. Statistical processing of the results was carried out using commonly used methods of variation statistics with a help of personal computer using a statistical software package «Statistica 8.0» («Statsoft», USA). The probability level was estimated at 95 % (p<0.05) using Student’s t criterion.Conclusions. Consequently, the clinical indicators of the state of periodontal tissues in the context of alimentaryconstitutional obesity (Fedorov-Volodkin’s index, Green-Vermillion index, Sillness-Loe index, CPITN index) signifi cantly deteriorate compared with the corresponding indicators in the control group of adolescents without AKO, indicating the effect of alimentary-constitutional obesity on the clinical course, the severity and severity of theinfl ammatory process and the feasibility of timely and effective pharmacotherapy.

Effects of neem, betel leaf, devil’s tree, jute and turmeric against natural gastrointestinal nematodes in sheep and on some hematological parameters (TEC, Hb and PCV) and body weight were studied. Thirty (30) naturally parasitized sheep were randomly divided into six groups(A, B, C, D, E and F), each consisting of five sheep. Ten percent water extract of leaves of neem, betel leaf, devil’s tree and jute were administered orally to the sheep of group A, B, C and D, respectively. Sheep of group E was treated orally with 10% water extract of rhizome of turmeric. Sheep of group F was kept as infected control group. Fecal samples, hematological parameters and body weight were examined before treatment and on 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th day. A significant (p<0.01) reduction of EPG count was found following administration of neem (37.60-47.03%), betel leaf (6.43-14.00%), devil’s tree (3.04-11.04%), jute (0.50-5.26%) and turmeric (0.46-8.30) in sheep. The EPG count of the control group (F) were significantly (p<0.01) increased up to the last day of experimental period. After treatment with neem, betel leaf, devil’s tree, jute and turmeric total erythrocyte count (TEC), hemoglobin (Hb) content and packed cell volume (PCV) were increased significantly (p<0.01 and p<0.05) in sheep. The body weight was increased significantly (p<0.01 and p<0.05) in neem, betel leaf, devil’s tree, jute and turmeric treated sheep. On the other hand, body weight was decreased in untreated control group. The present study reveal that 10% water extract of neem was moderately effective and betel leaf, devil’s tree, jute and turmeric were relatively less effective against gastrointestinal nematodes in sheep. Aim. To evaluate the effectiveness of the developed special sports complex in the prevention of hypodynamia and obesity among firefighters-rescuers.Materials and methods. A survey of 490 men with no history of chronic infectious and non-infectious diseases aged 20-59 was conducted. 328 people were the main group, 162 people were the control group. The baseline data included anthropometric development indicators, bioimpedance test results, the extraction of biochemical blood test results; the body mass index (BMI) and the ratio of waist and hip circumference were determined. A questionnaire was conducted to identify hypodynamia (according to the IPAQ questionnaire) and the nutrition structure (according to the questionnaire on the food label literacy questionnaire, past). Both questionnaires were adapted to the Russian Federation. Statistica for Windows 8.0 was used for statistical processing. We used a comparison of the means of the Student method. To compare the values expressed in percent, the method of inverse trigonometric Fisher transformations was used.Results. We have developed and proposed for firefighters-rescuers, included in the main group, special sports complexes, which were used for 6 months. These complexes represent additional physical training by the developed method. There are two of them: one with an emphasis on the prevention and rehabilitation of people with osteochondrosis of the lumbar spine, and the other for cervical and thoracic localization, including with a syndrome of shoulder-scapular periarthritis.Classes were held 3 times a week, the duration of 1 session was 45-50 minutes. The choice of the complex was carried out at the request of firefighters-rescuers. The first complex was selected by 52 people. Based on the results of the study, against the background of the use of sports complexes, there was a 2-fold decrease in the incidence of obesity. Such a high efficiency is due to the fact that obesity of the I degree prevailed among the firefighters-rescuers. In addition, the frequency of occurrence of dyslipidemia, hyperglycemia, and hypodynamia decreased.Conclusion. The use of this sports complex can reduce the risk factors for development of disability among rescue firefighters by preventing hypodynamia and reducing the incidence of hyperglycemia and dyslipidemia, as factors in the development of obesity.

The effect of the drug Delcid 7.5 ® on the clinical, hematological and biochemical parameters of rabbits of the New Zealand breed, 6 months of age, when used in doses of 2 ml or 4 ml. Three times with a cutaneous application along the vertebral column from the head to the tail. The conducted studies allow us to conclude that after applying the drug in these doses for 3 days, there were no external signs of intoxication in rabbits. All the animals of the experimental groups were active. The reaction to external stimuli is preserved. Hematological parameters of peripheral blood (number of erythrocytes, leukocytes, hemoglobin, color index, the average hemoglobin content of PG in erythrocytes, mean corpuscular volume, the exponent of anisocytosis of red blood cells, etc.) of the experimental group after treatment in 5, 15, 25 days had no significant differences from those in the control group, this suggests that the applied drug to the skin along the spine from the withers to the rump at a dose of 2 and 4 ml has no Toxicological effect on peripheral blood. The leukogram of the peripheral blood of rabbits when using the drug did not differ from the control parameters. The analysis of biochemical parameters (activity of aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, lactate dehydrogenase, creatinine, urea, glucose, total protein, bilirubin, etc.) of the blood of the experimental groups when applying the drug Delcid 7.5 ® along the spinal column at the maximum therapeutic dose did not reveal statistically significant differences from the control, which indicates that the drug does not have a genotoxic effect, does not interfere with the kidneys and metabolism in the body of rabbits. The results of the conducted studies show that the insecticide-acaricide drug Delcid 7.5® for veterinary use, developed by NVC Agrovetzashchita LLC, is safe for rabbits, and therefore it can be recommended for studying the effectiveness of acarosis in rabbits and other animal species.

INTRODUCTION Pregnancy is one of the most important periods in a woman's life. A daily caloric increase of 150kcal throughout the first and 350kcal during the second and third trimesters is recommended. There are also increased requirements for some nutritive components. The aim of this study was to explore nutritive risk factors which affect hematological parameters and thus pregnancy and labor. It tested the hypothesis that there was a positive correlation between obese and underweight pregnant women and their nutrition, on one side, and hematological disorders of pregnant women on the other side. Material and methods The sample included 92 overweight, 65 underweight and 95 normally nourished pregnant women (control group). Blood analysis was compared with the results of the questionnaire on weekly consumption of different food groups. Results and discussion The incidence of anemia was very high in both nutritive risk groups, while the increased number of leukocytes was dominant in underweight pregnant women. Food questionnaire confirmed inadequate intake of nutritive components in risk groups. CONCLUSIONS All these facts may have important repercussions on pregnancy and labor, and anemia is often associated with prematurity, low birth-weight of infants, greater number of premature labors, as well as the increased perinatal mortality. This study has confirmed the hypothesis that well balanced nutrition is really very important for regular functioning of the whole body, especially in risk population such as pregnant women.

In our experiment, we studied the possibility of including dry chlorella in primate feeding structures of the diet. In order to replace high-nutritional protein feed of plant and animal origin. Along with dry chlorella, the effect of chlorella suspension, as a dietary supplement, on the primate organism has been studied. For experiments with dry chlorella, the primate feeding ration was changed. In the structure of the diet of dry chlorella feeding was subjected to substitution: dry milk by 90%, egg powder by 9%. Whereas chlorella emulsion with a cell density in the culture fluid of 55-60 million / cm3 rhesus monkeys was obtained with drinking water. At the rate of 2.8 ml / kg body weight per day and complete feed (CF), as in the control group. The data obtained macaca mulatta of the experiment indicate that the inclusion of chlorella in the structure of rations of primates, both dry and with culture liquid, contributes to a better digestibility of feed nutrients. Significantly increases the level of metabolism in the body of primates of the experimental groups. And the results of hematological studies indicate an increase in the natural resistance of the organism.
