Balaganjur is a form of performance arts and audio- visually it might be an independent art. Balaganjur is a musical communication that instigates sensation and emotional response between the composer, players and viewers. It might influence the fan who are familier with the background of Balinese social life. This article is meant to see and analyze how Balinese people value the function of Balaganjur, especially in the context of festive social activity. The performance of Balaganjur is always conected to a religious life, traditional lore, and aspect of artistic life in response to the development of the cultural millie. Generally, Balaganjur complements the implementation of religious ritual. However, when Balaganjur is secularly composed and performed as an aesthetic presentation, Balaganjur develops its function toward profan values.

The centuries which we designate politically by the names of the dominant powers of the age successively as the Persian, Greek, and Roman periods of Jewish history constitute as a whole an epoch in the religious history of Judaism. In these centuries, past the middle of which the Christian era falls, Judaism brought to complete development its characteristic institutions, the school and the synagogue, in which it possessed, not only a unique instrument for the education and edification of all classes of the people in religion and morality, but the centre of its religious life, and to no small extent also of its intellectual and social life. Through the study of the Scriptures and the discussions of generations of scholars it defined its religious conceptions, its moral principles, its forms of worship, and its distinctive type of piety, as well as the rules of law and observance which became authoritative for all succeeding time. In the light of subsequent history the great achievement of these centuries was the creation of a normative type of Judaism and its establishment in undisputed supremacy throughout the wide Jewish world.

Goal. The purpose of the work is a comprehensive analysis of the main problems of the regulatory potential of legal culture and legal awareness of the individual and its implementation in modern Ukrainian society. Method. The study used a set of theoretical methods of scientific knowledge, in particular: the method of scientific analysis; system-structural; historical and legal; axiological; comparative law; formal-legal and method of generalization. Results. In the course of the research it was proved that the modern philosophy of realization of regulatory potential of legal culture and legal consciousness should consist in strengthening of humanizing character of regulatory influence, be directed not on authoritarian authoritarian, imperative attribution, authorizing, binding types of legal regulations that authoritatively guide the actions, behavior of people and are seen as omnipotent universal mechanisms for solving problems of social life, and to create conditions for the realization of freedom, human potential, its legal status, social activity, creativity and initiative , which, of course, must be implemented on the basis of social, legal and moral norms enshrined in society. Scientific novelty. According to the results of the study, the new conceptual foundations of the regulatory potential of legal culture and legal awareness should be aimed at creating conditions for identifying deep dimensions of the inner world of man, his individual legal worldview, which allows him to become the creator of social and legal reality. Practical significance. The results of the research can be useful in the process of forming a general theoretical concept of the regulatory potential of legal culture and legal consciousness of modern Ukrainian society.

Based on historical and theoretical analysis of the development of social functioning of musical communication, as well as some problems of its management, the author attempts to theoretically justify the ways and means of optimizing music and communication processes that contribute to enhance the social and cultural role of musical art. The article describes fundamental concepts, which should be taken as the basis for the organization of musical life in modern society. The author puts forward such a conceptual theoretical statement as the principle of multi-factor audience differentiation. Consequently, the paper considers important facets of the theory of musical communication management in society, namely the target programming, scientific forecasting and long-term planning. The ways and methods of implementing these principles aimed at the achievement of a certain level of control over the music communication processes in society are also considered. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the impact of current social and economic changes in Russia on the formation of marketing and management in the social life of musical art.

This study suggests the application of the syiar method as part of the relationship between the Alawiyyin to build their unity in living their social life with other communities. This study applies a historical approach that looks at how the Alawiyyin started with the construction of a social arena through an operational life order with Islamic faith and the noble values of the Alawiyyin, how the Alawiyyin lives and maintain the existing order in social relations. The results shows that through the institutions, norms, and symbolic apparatus covering the life of the Alawiyyin. Functionally, it could support their existence as a foreign Alawiyyin community in Maluku. Furthermore, this study reveals that the Alawiyyin builds their social arena by relating religious life and daily life practices. Through the teaching mode of the life of his ancestors, the prophet Muhammad, can form belief and devotion to Allah. In addition, it contributes positively to maintaining the lineage (genealogy) of the Alawiyyin in the middle of the arena of social life that continuously mix through the process of amalgamation. Apparatus that supports stability, commitment to love/loyalty of those around them is maintained through practice, grave pilgrimage, reading ratib, dhikr, proselytization, becoming a muhibbin, tasawuf, tawassul, barsanji, and kafaah marriage.

Compact urban form has been widely suggested as a more sustainable development pattern that enhances different aspects of social liveability such as social exchange, collective interaction, and outdoor activity. Empirical research, however, challenges proposing a generic and universal understanding of compactness and its social advantages: compactness is perceived and lived differently in different socio-cultural contexts. This paper contributes to the call for gaining a more place-specific understanding from the compact urban form. To do so, it examines the social life of compact neighbourhoods in two study sites in Berlin. Social life is investigated by measuring the two dimensions of “neighbouring” and “social activities”: while the former explores how residents of the neighbourhood perceive different aspects of social life, the latter maps how urban space accommodates different types of social activity. Questionnaires and advanced mapping techniques are the primary sources of research obtained through intensive fieldwork and on-site observation. The research findings challenge some dominant assumptions attributed to the compact urban form orthodoxy: a compact neighbourhood can be perceived as safe, offer acceptable home and neighbourhood satisfaction, and, at the same time, suffer from low social networking and community engagement.

ObjectivesThe diagnosis and treatment of acute leukaemia (AL) affect physical, psychosocial and existential functioning. Long-lasting treatment periods with impaired immune system, hygienic and social restrictions challenge patient well-being and rehabilitation as compared with other individuals with cancer. This study elucidates how AL patients, treated with curative intent in an outpatient setting, assess their physical, psychosocial and existential capability during and following treatment, and furthermore reports on the health initiatives offered to support their rehabilitation.Design, setting, participants and interventionsWe conducted qualitative, semi-structured individual interviews with 16 AL patients, 6 months after end of treatment in the patients’ homes. This was the final interview, in a line of three, carried out as part of a larger qualitative study.ResultsThe data were analysed thematically through an inductive ongoing process consisting of four steps. The final step, selective coding, resulted in the three categories: physical activity, mental well-being and social activity. None of the patients were satisfied with their physical capability at the time of interview and experienced substantial impairment of functional capabilities. All patients struggled with anxiety and expressed a need for continuous progress in treatment and well-being to feel safe. It took an unexpected large effort to regain a meaningful social life, and patients still had to prioritise activities.ConclusionsAL patients suffered physically, psychologically and existentially throughout their illness trajectory. Rehabilitation initiatives deriving from the healthcare system and municipalities held room for improvement. Future programmes should pay attention to the contextual changes of treatment of this patient group and individuals’ changing needs and motivation of physical exercise.

Islam is what Muslims do. From this premise, the book elaborates a sociology of Islam in three concise chapters. The book shows that Islam has operated typically not in the form of standard dogmas, but usually as a compass for practical orientations (“lifeworlds”). This more pragmatic character of the faith established it as a relevant factor in three arenas in which common social life acquires meaning: participatory ethics, public philosophies, and global networks. The book argues that all three are poorly understood in recent literature, which tends to focus on one specific problem or another, and then in isolation from global and historical contexts. The book argues that the larger preoccupations of ordinary Muslims—how to live in a global society; how to guide life in the manner of a total philosophy; and how to relate to the world of daily struggles—are unique neither to the present period nor to religious life. But the career of a particular religion—Islam in this case—offers a focused empirical lens through which we may learn something more about the nature of global citizenship; the philosophical needs of ordinary people; and the sorts of ethics that facilitate social participation.

In this book there is not a single definition, as is typical for publications on traditional jurisprudence, here legal thinking is presented in its development, based not on abstract philosophizing and attempts to connect the legal life of society with the rigid framework of scientific laws. The preceding line of legal thinking is a ceaseless discussion of how to approach the understanding of law, otherwise the collision of methodologies, but not philosophizing, but discipline of the mind aimed at ensuring law and order is needed, therefore the way of working in the legal sphere is always dogmatic - exact and unquestioning execution of regulations supported by various security, guarantee, jurisdictional, deterrent and other means, while even changing the prescription itself is definitely subject to from dogma enshrined in procedural procedural rules. Mankind builds the law and official jurisprudence in order not to be distracted each time to clarify the content and meaning of these phenomena. The right acts as a guideline of life positions of interested parties to the relationship. The law does not change the state of affairs that naturally took shape, does not create new laws of nature, economics, social life, etc., but can give them an official style, and nothing more. The norms of law do not coexist along with other social norms, but give them socially significant official status, replace them, and also create innovations in the regulation of social activity. The right is a sign form of government invested with legal constructions, and the form is transformed. The right is accepted by society methods of invasion of the established socio-cultural situation and giving it a kind of conservative tradition after changing the natural course of affairs and replacing it with the normative management procedure.

Although Bourdieu’s conceptual system can be of interest to feminists, few have used it because of its androcentrism. This paper considers McCall’s (1992) proposal to correct this androcentric bias by integrating gender distinction with the concept of cultural capital. This integration is supported by some theoretical affinities between Bourdieu’s model and Harding’s (1986) feminist approach, which relate to three elements at work in the production of social life: dichotomous symbolic structure, the organization of social activity, and schemes of subjective dispositions. Some limitations to Bourdieu’s model are considered. However, in the last part of the article, it is argued that the adaptation of Bourdieu’s model is a potentially enriching approach, and an illustration is provided with examples of gendered experiences in sport.
