Wayang, sebagai salah satu bentuk kesenian klasik tradisional yang oleh pecintanya dikatakan mempunyai nilai adiluhung, banyak mempengaruhi tata nilai kehidupan Jawa khususnya dan masyarakat pada umumnya.Orang Jawa begitu percaya adanya perlambang, simbolisasi ataupun filsafat hidup yang berupa mitos pada satu lakon wayang.Salah satu lakon wayang yang cukup menarik perhatian adalah lakon wayang dengan judul “Gandamana Luweng”. Pokok permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penulisan ini adalah (1) Bagaimana struktur lakon Gandamana Luweng, (2) Bagaimana makna simbolik lakon Gandamana Luweng. Tujuan penulisan ini yaitu menganalisa dan mendeskripsikan struktur lakon dan makna simbolik lakon Gandamana Luweng. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomnologis empiris. Subjek utama dalam penelitian ini adalah Ki Pringgo Jati Rahmanu, sedangkan pengumpulan data diperoleh dengan pengamatan, wawancara, studi dokumen, dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pemerksaan keabsahan data menggunakan informan review dan triangulasi data (sumber dan teknik). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa struktur lakon Gandamana Luweng terdiri atas sinopsis, penjabaran lakon, penokohan, alur, setting, dan tema cerita.Lakon Gandamana Luweng ini memiliki makna bahwa jika dalam suatu Negara para rakyatnya bermoral lemah tidak mempunyai kekuatan dan keberanian apalagi kesadaran apa arti hidup ini maka hancurlah Negara itu. Dari data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa Lakon Gandamana Luweng memiliki struktur lakon cukup menarik yang dikemas dalam durasi tampilan 60 menit, sedangkan dengan adanya makna simbolik yang terkandung diharapkan para pelaku hidup ini akan sadar tentang pentingnya saling mengerti, menyadari tentang hidup dan kehidupan di dunia.Shadow Puppettry, as one of the traditional classical art form that by the lover is said to hold in high value, hold much affect to the values of life of Java in particular and its society in general. The Javanese are very confident in the use of symbols. Symbols and philosophies of life that are manifest in one myth in one puppet play. One of the puppet plays that attract attention is the wayang play entitled "Gandamana Luweng". The main issues studied in this book are (1) How Gandamana Luweng play is structured, (2) The symbolic meaning of Gadamana Luweng play. The purpose of this paper is to analyze and describe the structure of the play and the symbolic implications of the play Gandamana Luweng. This research uses qualitative research design with empirical phenomenological approach. The main subject in this study is Ki Pringgo Jati Rahmanu, while data collection is obtained with observation, interview, document study, documentation. Data analysis is done through by data reduction, presentation data, and conclusion. The validity of data is checked using using informant review and triangulation of data (source and technique). The results of this study indicate the structure of the Gandamana Luweng play consists of synopsis, description of the play, characterization, plot, setting, and theme of the story. This Gandamana Luweng play has the meaning if country’s people possess weak moral, no strength and courage let alone awareness as to what this life means, then the country is destroyed. From these data can be concluded Gandamana Luweng shadow puppet play holdss a fascinating  structure that comprises a 60 minute view duration, where the symbolic meanings intentions are expected that these actors will be aware of understanding each other, conscious about life and life in the world.

Wayang yang merupakan salah satu kekayaan intelektual menyatu dan menjadi bagian dari kehidupan masyarakat Jawa. Wayang juga menjadi sumber inspirasi sehingga masyarakat mengapresiasinya dalam bentuk lukisan wayang Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan makna lukisan wayang karya Subandi Giyanto berjudul Petruk Dadi Ratu, Semare Kaling-Kalingan Mega terkait dengan pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Interpretasi data menggunakan metode semiotika Pierce. Objek material penelitian yaitu lukisan Petruk Dadi Ratu, Semare Kaling-Kalingan Mega. Objek formalnya berupa makna simbolik dan pendidikan karakter. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik interaktif model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bentuk lukisan yang menghadirkan Petruk sebagai subjek utama yang dikelilingi figur Petruk, Gareng, Togog, Bilung, Semar, Emban Ayu, dan Bagong yang memperlihatkan ketidakadilan, suap-menyuap, korupsi, kemiskinan, dan pencitraan serta objek-objek wuku Pahang. Selain itu dalam lukisan terdapat awan berkepala Sengkuni yang menutup beberapa objek termasuk menutup kepala Semar. Makna lukisan menggambarkan negara Petruk yang terlihat baik namun banyak kesedihan di dalamnya, karena kondisi sosial yang kacau termasuk diam dan dilupakannya sang pamomong. Nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang ada pada makna lukisan yaitu integritas, nasionalis, dan mandiri. Kata kunci: lukisan wayang, makna simbolik, nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter. CHARACTER EDUCATION VALUES IN THE MEANINGS OF PETRUK DADI RATU, SEMARE KALING-KALINGAN MEGA PAINTING BY SUBANDI GIYANTOAbstract: Puppet that is one of the intellectual property and has become a part of the Javanese society life. Puppet is also a source of inspiration so that people appreciate it in the form of puppet paintings. This research aimed to describe the meaning of puppet painting by Subandi Giyanto entitled Petruk Dadi Ratu, Semare Kaling-Kalingan Mega related to character education. This was a qualitative research. Data interpretation used Pierce's semiotics method. The material object of research was the painting entitled Petruk Dadi Ratu, Semare Kaling-Kalingan Mega. The formal objects were symbolic meanings and character education. The data were obtained by observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data analysis used interactive technique of the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the form of paintings presented Petruk as the main subject surrounded by figures of Petruk, Gareng, Togog, Bilung, Semar, Emban Ayu, and Bagong which showed injustice, bribery, corruption, poverty, imaging, and objects of wuku Pahang. In addition, there was a Sengkuni-headed cloud that covered several objects including covering Semar's head. The meaning of the painting was to reflect the state of Petruk that looks good but full of sadness due to chaotic social problems including silence and the forgotten pamomong (caregiver). The values of character education that exist in the meaning of painting was integrity, nationality, and independently. Keywords: Puppet painting, symbolic meaning, character education values

<p><em>Each individual's perspective on a matter that is seen, felt, and done certainly has a difference. This research conveys the point of view of character I on life in Ubud, Bali. This study aims to dissect the symbolic meaning in the perspective of life in Ubud, Bali in the novel Jangan Sisakan Nasi dalam Piring Kembangmanggis Dishes. This research is a qualitative research with an objective approach, so it only focuses on novels without overruling the authors. The research data source is the novel Jangan Sisakan Nasi dalam Piring. The process of collecting data is done by close reading and codification. Data analysis is done by 1) display, 2) reduction, and 3) conclusion. The results of the study show that first, in terms of knowledge, there are still Balinese people who cannot communicate with Indonesia, are illiterate, blind in numbers, technologically backward, and care less about other life, in this case ducks. This is clearly illustrated in the narrative. Second, in terms of life, wife-controlled households, natural surroundings, even some still use the river as a means of cleaning bodies and goods. Traditional eating places at affordable prices, very cheap compared to prices at restaurants, and traditions in Ubud are also still strong.</em></p>

BACKGROUND: The puerperium is a period that begins after the birth of the placenta and ends when the uterus organs return to their pre-pregnancy state, which lasts for about 6 weeks or after delivery until 42 days of delivery. This period is a crucial period for mothers and newborns because, at this time, mothers are required to adapt to their new role of being a mother. AIM: This study aims to explore the husband’s support in the taking-hold phase of postpartum primigravida cesarean section and normal labor. METHODS: This study used a qualitative research design employing a phenomenological approach. The purposive sampling method was utilized in selecting 10 informants. Data analysis used a Colaizzi analysis and Nvivo 12 Plus software. RESULTS: The results showed that the husband’s support influenced postpartum mothers in the (1) emotional changes, (2) baby care, (3) wound care, and (4) nutritional fulfillment. CONCLUSION: The husband’s support in the taking-hold postpartum phase was proven to deal with psychological adaptation and help postpartum maternal health care.

This study aims at describing how the teachers teach reading comprehension of narrative text to the tenth grade students in Sibolangit and revealing the underlying reasons of why do they do that way. This study was conducted by using qualitative research design. The subject of this study were two english teachers who taught at tenth grade students of two SMA in Sibolangit they are : SMA Negeri  1 Sibolangit  and SMA RK Deli Murni Bandar Baru in academic year 2016/ 2017. The data were analyzed by using Miles and Huberman data analysis technique. The  technique of collecting the data was recorded from the classroom process in teaching reading comprehension of narrative text. The findings of the study show that most of teachers’ ways are not yet focusing on teaching reading comprehension but rather focusing teaching the knowledge of genre. The underlying reason of the teachers’ ways in teaching reading comprehension did not facilitate reading comprehension. It was due to the misperception of the concept of teaching reading comprehension.  Keywords : Teaching,Reading Comprehension,Narrative Text.

ABSTRACTBackground : Medical record is one of the most important pillars that can not be considered trivial in a hospital, with the development of medical scienceCommon Purpose : To find in-depth information about the implementation of medical records at the hospital Widiyanti PalembangResearch Method : Qualitative research design with data collection techniques are conducted in triangulation, The data analysis is inductive, and the results of the study are emphasized more at the meaning than the generalization. The Research Results : the Implementation of medical records have been running but there is no medical record organization, the implementation of medical record activities done by rolling. Human Resources (HR) medical records should be placed specifically in the medical record along with clear tasks. Method of organizing medical record has been run although the result is not optimal, because Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) that made not socialized. Facilities and infrastructure that support the implementation of the medical record is good, marked by the existence of a special records archive medical records. Facilities and infrastructure such as chairs, desks, computers, patient registration books and outpatient registration and inpatient services are available, do not have budget funds for medical record implementation, especially by sending medical recruiter for trainingConclusion : Implementation of medical records have been running but not optimal.

This article «From Ladder and Thread to Heaven: The Symbolic Meaning of the Path in a Fragment of the Linguistic World Image» explores the problem of the analysis of folk customs. These customs could be verbalized both in folk texts and in dialects. The specifics of this study lie in the linguistic analysis of the symbols which are usually interpreted as folk customs and folk objects. However, the symbolism of the objects in national customs causes the development of a symbolic meaning of the respective word that defines these objects. In this way, many symbols in folk customs become verbal, and the context of the custom creates a foundation for the development of the symbolic meaning. The verbal symbols analyzed are a «thread», a «ball of twine», a «ladder», a «bridge» and a «cross». In the national Ukrainian linguistic space, these words have the general semantics of the ‘connection between worlds’. It is stressed that the symbolic meaning of the (celestial) ladder has been discovered in the biblical context. This is also relevant for the clarification of the subject of continuity in the development of the symbolic meanings, which are also documented in the Ukrainian context. A concrete situation in linguistics and custom creates conditions under which arise symbolic co-meanings that develop in the framework of the same main symbolic archetypical meaning. All analyzed symbols belong to the archetypical ones. That is why they have been also discovered with the same semantics in other languages. This is the reason why the analysis of such symbols requires not only facts documented in the dictionaries and texts in Ukrainian, but also information about the respective symbol in other linguistic cultures. It is also pointed out that the thread is analyzed as an apotropaic symbol. This word has also been documented linguistically as a symbol of the demarcation line between one’s own world and the world of «others».

Abstrak “ Reaktualisasi Garap Musik Kesenian Penthul Melikan Di Dusun Melikan Desa Tempuran Kabupaten Ngawi” pada dasarnya membahas garap musik kesenian Penthul Melikan Kabupaten Ngawi setelah mengalami perubahan yang kemudian disebut Reaktualisasi.Inti permasalahan yang diungkap dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) Bagaimana bentuk garap musik pada kesenian Penthul Melikan di Dusun Melikan, Desa Tempuran, Kecamatan Paron Kabupaten Ngawi (2) Faktor penyebab perubahan musik pada kesenian Penthul Melikan di Dusun Melikan, Desa Tempuran, Kecamatan Paron Kabupaten Ngawi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif, metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif, meliputi observasi, pengumpulan data, dan analisis data.Penelitian ini menggunakan teori, konsep-konsep, dan pemikiran dari beberapa tokoh. Landasan konseptual Reaktualisasi menurut Geriya bahwa adanya proses transformasi dalam perubahan bentuk dan fungsi namun tetap dalam esensi spesiesnya. Teori kreativitas diungkapkan Munandar, bahwa manusia yang memiliki kreativitas sehingga mampu untuk menciptakan sesuatu dari tidak ada menjadi ada, dari yang sudah ada menjadi lebih baru lagi. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan teori perubahan yang ditawarkan Boskoff ketika mengupas tentang perubahan atau pembaharuan, yang pada dasarnya disebabkan oleh dua faktor, yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Teori garap Supanggah, bahwasanya Reaktualisasi musik pada kesenian Penthul Melikan terdapat beberapa unsur garap meliputi; (1) materi garap, (2) penggarap, (3) sarana garap, (4) perabot garap, (5) penentu garap, dan (6) pertimbangan garap.Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh positif terhadap kesenian Penthul Melikan setelah mengalami reaktualisasi, adanya perubahan garap dan bentuk baru pada kesenian Penthul Melikan yang kemudian dinamakan Ganongan Melikan, membuat kesenian Penthul Melikan dengan bentuk dan garap yang lama kembali dikenal masyarakat dan semakin berkembang.Kata kunci: Reaktualisasi, Garap, Kesenian Penthul Melikan.Abstract“A reactualisation of the musical style of Penthul Melikan in Dusun Melikan, Desa Tempuran, Ngawi Regency” is a discussion of the musical style found in the Penthul Melikan performance which has changed through a process Geriya terms “reactualisation”. This research explores the following issues: 1) What is the musical style of Penthul Melikan in Dusun Melikan, Desa Tempuran, located within the Paron sub-district of the Ngawi Regency, as well as 2) the factors that changed the music of this art form. This qualitative research uses qualitiative methods including observation, data collection and data analysis. This research employs the theories, concepts and ideas of several figures. Geriya’s Reactualisation involves, as its foundation, a transformation within the art form in formal and functional qualities while nonetheless retaining the essence of its species. Munandar’s theory of creativity explores the human ability to create something from nothing, and the new from the currently existing. Change and renewal are discussed through Boskoff’s theory of change which focuses on internal and external factors. Supanggah’s theory of garap, which discusses the musical materials and tools at the disposal of the musicians is also relevant to studying the reactualisation of Penthul Melikan.The findings suggest that reactualisation has had a positive effect on Penthul Melikan, which later became known as Ganongan Melikan. This has allowed the former style of Penthul Melikan to re-enter its community and develop further.Keywords: Reactualisation, Garap, Penthul Melikan

This study reveals the semantic fields from the "to see" verb in Javanese. The aims of this research is to describe the shape, function, meaning and role of semantic of each variant of the verb "to see". To realize this goal, qualitative research design was applied in this study and the semantic role theory of Vole and Van Valin (1984). Was also oriented in data analysis. Verbs that have semantic fields that are associated with the "to see" verb with intentional entities numbering 33. Each of them is ndêlok, ndêlêng, ningali, mirsani, ndeleng sacleraman, ndêlêng tênanên, ningali saestu, mirsani saestu, ningali sekedhap, mirsani sekedhap, mlengos, ngwasi, ngêmatake, ngematakên, ndhangak, dingkluk, nginceng, ngêlirêk, mêntêlêngi, ndelok mburi, and maca. The semantic roles of the arguments of each verb consist of agents and themes. This study only sheds light on the meaning field verb "to see" of the type of variant and a little about the general semantic role. For this reason, a more detailed study of the specific role of each variant of the verb is a topic that can be raised in the next study.

Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation and conclusions or verification.The research results point to multiculturalism as an approach and as a National Policy. As stated above, multiculturalism is an ideological way out of the problem of the decline in the forces of integration and awareness of nationalism of a nation as a result of changes at the global level. ABSTRACT Taxation principles were applied as early as 4000 BC in Sumer. The formulation of recognized taxation principles commenced formally with Adam Smith in 1776. He called them the four maxims of taxation. The principles formulated by Smith were grounded in his observations and personal experiences of the world. After Smith, several individuals, committees, and reviews added their ideas to the principles of taxation. The question discussed in this paper is whether these principles formulated through the years are scientifically grounded. In order to ground the principles scientifically, three qualitative research methods were conducted. Method 1 is a thematic analysis of taxation history. Method 2 applies a qualitative research design called an Interactive Qualitative Analysis. Finally, Method 3 uses a single question in writing, sent to taxation experts from various countries. The question asked in Methods 2 and 3 is: What are the fundamental principles of taxation that are essential to taxation internationally as a discipline? The findings of the three research methods were triangulated in order to propose a set of six fundamental principles of taxation. The six proposed principles are: efficient and effective administration and communication; certain, neutral, understandable legislation; equity influencing different levels of society; taxpayers' duty to contribute to society versus the government's duty to strike a balance between taking too little and taking too much; benefits to the public through taxation; and change unwanted social behavior.
