<p><em>Each individual's perspective on a matter that is seen, felt, and done certainly has a difference. This research conveys the point of view of character I on life in Ubud, Bali. This study aims to dissect the symbolic meaning in the perspective of life in Ubud, Bali in the novel Jangan Sisakan Nasi dalam Piring Kembangmanggis Dishes. This research is a qualitative research with an objective approach, so it only focuses on novels without overruling the authors. The research data source is the novel Jangan Sisakan Nasi dalam Piring. The process of collecting data is done by close reading and codification. Data analysis is done by 1) display, 2) reduction, and 3) conclusion. The results of the study show that first, in terms of knowledge, there are still Balinese people who cannot communicate with Indonesia, are illiterate, blind in numbers, technologically backward, and care less about other life, in this case ducks. This is clearly illustrated in the narrative. Second, in terms of life, wife-controlled households, natural surroundings, even some still use the river as a means of cleaning bodies and goods. Traditional eating places at affordable prices, very cheap compared to prices at restaurants, and traditions in Ubud are also still strong.</em></p>

The objective of this research was to understand comprehensively the development of teachers’ career at the Al-Ifadah Islamic secondary school it was a qualitative research with study case method conducted in Penjaringan, north Jakarta.Qualitative method was used with case studying approach. Head master and teachers as data source. In this research data collecting with triangulation technique to get credibility in this research grouped as (1) give longer time in research location (2) observation 60 documentation. After with the data categorized and coding were done in two data summary appropriately with the research problem and sub problems then and data analysis about completeness and relevance data examined.The finding lead to the recommendation teacher’s for continues them studies to get more education to apply teachers’ training in term of develop teacher’s career. Socialization leading and socialization training in order to get the Al-Ifadah Islamic secondary school running well, it is recommended for education head masters and teachers to improve accountability in assessing standard of Islamic secondary school.

Boarding school is the oldest Islamic institution in Indonesiasince the 13th century and still exists to this day. Boardingschools have a major role not only in terms of education, but alsoin terms of political, social, and cultural. This research includedin the types of qualitative research phenomenological approach.Research data retrieved from the data source through in-depthinterviews and then analyzed with model data analysis Miles andHuberman that is implement data reduction, data display, andconclusion drawing/verification. Researchers tested the validityof research data by using the technique of triangulation ofsources. The results showed, Sayyid Hasan do boarding againsthis leadership cadre recruitment by means of formal andinformal. Formally, the leadership cadre recruitment is done withthe opportunity to give his students to participate in structuralleadership of boarding school, participate in an organizationoutside of the boarding school, studied outside of boarding schoolAl-Iman in accordance with the interests of their respectivestudents, and actively participate in the sub boarding units. As forinformally, the leadership cadre recruitment is done with themethod of awarding of exemplary and advice. Example andadvice given repeatedly, especially related to the particularity ofthe nature of the leadership owned Sayyid Hasan. The nature ofleadership which is owned by the idiosyncrasies of Sayyid Hasaninclude, the physical condition and mental healthy and strong,open towards students, and open with the public.

English is used as a foreign language in some countries since it is one of international languages. In Indonesia, English is not the mother tongue of the majority of occupants, so the translation is needed to solve the communication problem between two different languages. This research entitled “The Translatability of Compound Words in The Hunger Games in English and Indonesian Versions” is intended to find out the English compound words equivalently translatable into Indonesian found in the novel and to describe the causes of the non-equivalent translation.This research belongs to descriptive qualitative research as the research design. The research object of this research is compound and the data of this research is the compound words of English language and Indonesian language. As for the data source, The Hunger Games novel is used as the data source of the research. In collecting the data, the researcher uses observing method. In observing method, the researcher reads, underlines, and transcribes the compound words of English and Indonesian language found in the novel. In data analysis, the researcher identifies the data based on English language and Indonesian language compound words.The analysis of the research shows that there are English compound words that can be equivalently translatable into Indonesian and some cannot. The non-equivalent translation of the compounds has the highest frequency that is 29 cases. It happens because the translator translated the English compound words into words and phrases. The frequency of equivalent translation is 21 cases in which the translator translated the English compound words into Indonesian compound. As for the causes, there are some factors triggering the inability to translate equivalently and one of the most influencing ones is cultural aspect.

Wayang yang merupakan salah satu kekayaan intelektual menyatu dan menjadi bagian dari kehidupan masyarakat Jawa. Wayang juga menjadi sumber inspirasi sehingga masyarakat mengapresiasinya dalam bentuk lukisan wayang Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan makna lukisan wayang karya Subandi Giyanto berjudul Petruk Dadi Ratu, Semare Kaling-Kalingan Mega terkait dengan pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Interpretasi data menggunakan metode semiotika Pierce. Objek material penelitian yaitu lukisan Petruk Dadi Ratu, Semare Kaling-Kalingan Mega. Objek formalnya berupa makna simbolik dan pendidikan karakter. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik interaktif model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bentuk lukisan yang menghadirkan Petruk sebagai subjek utama yang dikelilingi figur Petruk, Gareng, Togog, Bilung, Semar, Emban Ayu, dan Bagong yang memperlihatkan ketidakadilan, suap-menyuap, korupsi, kemiskinan, dan pencitraan serta objek-objek wuku Pahang. Selain itu dalam lukisan terdapat awan berkepala Sengkuni yang menutup beberapa objek termasuk menutup kepala Semar. Makna lukisan menggambarkan negara Petruk yang terlihat baik namun banyak kesedihan di dalamnya, karena kondisi sosial yang kacau termasuk diam dan dilupakannya sang pamomong. Nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang ada pada makna lukisan yaitu integritas, nasionalis, dan mandiri. Kata kunci: lukisan wayang, makna simbolik, nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter. CHARACTER EDUCATION VALUES IN THE MEANINGS OF PETRUK DADI RATU, SEMARE KALING-KALINGAN MEGA PAINTING BY SUBANDI GIYANTOAbstract: Puppet that is one of the intellectual property and has become a part of the Javanese society life. Puppet is also a source of inspiration so that people appreciate it in the form of puppet paintings. This research aimed to describe the meaning of puppet painting by Subandi Giyanto entitled Petruk Dadi Ratu, Semare Kaling-Kalingan Mega related to character education. This was a qualitative research. Data interpretation used Pierce's semiotics method. The material object of research was the painting entitled Petruk Dadi Ratu, Semare Kaling-Kalingan Mega. The formal objects were symbolic meanings and character education. The data were obtained by observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data analysis used interactive technique of the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the form of paintings presented Petruk as the main subject surrounded by figures of Petruk, Gareng, Togog, Bilung, Semar, Emban Ayu, and Bagong which showed injustice, bribery, corruption, poverty, imaging, and objects of wuku Pahang. In addition, there was a Sengkuni-headed cloud that covered several objects including covering Semar's head. The meaning of the painting was to reflect the state of Petruk that looks good but full of sadness due to chaotic social problems including silence and the forgotten pamomong (caregiver). Religiosity is the attitude and awareness of humans that in this life there is power and strength that far surpasses human power and strength. The openness to acknowledge the existence of this power and power directs humans to the realities of life which are not limited to the external level alone. Religious values ​​in literature can provide inner awareness to readers to behave well and continue to improve. The purpose of this study was to obtain an objective picture of the religious values ​​of the main characters Sam and Haba in the novel Sebening Syahadat by Diva Sinar Rembulan. This type of research is qualitative with a religious approach. The data of this research are in the form of author's speech or narrative and the conversations between the characters related to this research. The data source of this research is Novel Sebening Syahadat by Diva Sinar Rembulan. The research instrument was the researcher as a key instrument assisted by a table containing data regarding religious concepts in accordance with the research. Data collection techniques using note-taking techniques. While the data analysis technique used content analysis techniques. Based on the results of data analysis, the following findings were obtained. First, the value of faith in the main characters Sam and Haba in the novel Sebening Syahadat by Diva Sinar Rembulan, namely faith in Allah, faith in the book of Allah, faith in the prophet and messenger of Allah, and faith in qada and qadar Allah. Second, the value of sharia in the main characters Sam and Haba in the novel Sebening Syahadat by Diva Sinar Rembulan, namely prayer, prayer, call to prayer, reading the Koran, guided by the hadiths, prostration of gratitude, remembrance, and fasting. Third, the moral values ​​of the main characters Sam and Haba in the novel Sebening Syahadat by Diva Sinar Rembulan, namely being kind, honest, polite, giving advice, being devoted, humble, helpful, pious, and friendly. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan klasifikasi emosi, konflik psikologis, dan sikap dalam menghadapi konflik psikologis dalam novel Sunset Bersama Rosie karya Tere Liye. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan psikologi sastra yaitu telaah karya sastra yang mencerminkan proses dan aktivitas kejiwaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah klasifikasi emosi tokoh tokoh sentral dalam novel Sunset Bersama Rosie karya Tere Liye. Data penelitian ini adalah penggalan teks yang menunjukkan emosi tokoh-tokoh sentral dan sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel Sunset Bersama Rosie karya Tere Liye. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik baca dan catat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditunjukkan bahwa klasifikasi emosi yang dialami tokoh-tokoh sentral terdiri atas rasa bersalah, menghukum diri sendiri, rasa malu, kesedihan, kebencian, dan cinta. Konflik psikologis yang dialami tokoh-tokoh sentral terdiri atas approach-approach conflict, approach-avoidance conflict, dan avoidance-avoidance conflict. Sikap yang ditunjukkan tokoh-tokoh sentral dalam novel Sunset Bersama Rosie karya Tere Liye dipengaruhi konflik yang dialami. Namun, tidak semua tokoh-tokoh sentral bersikap sama terhadap konflik psikologis yang dialami. Beberapa tokoh-tokoh sentral yang dapat bersikap berkebalikan dari emosi mereka.   This study aims to describe the classification of emotions, psychological conflict, and attitude in the face of psychological conflict in the novel Sunset alongside Rosie work of Tere Liye. The approach was conducted in this research is the psychology literature approach i.e. review literary works that reflect the procesess and activity of psychological abuse. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The target of this research is the classification of the emotions of the character the central character in the novel Sunset alongside Rosie work of Tere Liye. This research data is extract text that shows the emotions the central figures and data source this study is novel Sunset alongside Rosie work off Tere Liye. Data collection techniques using readand write down. Based on the result of the study, pointed out that the classification of emotions experienced by central figures composed of guilt, punish yourself, shame, sorrow, hatred, and love. Psycholigical conficts that plagued central figures composed of approach-approach conflict, approach-avoidance conflict, and avoidance-avoidance conflict. The attitude shown the central figures in the novel Sunset ALONGSIDE Rosie work of Tere Liye influenced confict is experienced. Howefer, not all central figures in the same attitude toward psychological conflict. Some of the central figures who can be  the opposite of their emotions.

Abstract Implicatures in Indonesian Political Humor by Zaenuddin HM. This research is intended to describe conventional and conversational implicatures which contained in Zanenuddin’s works. The researcher use descriptive method and the approach which is used by the researcher is qualitative research as a pragmatic study. The research data and data source are taken from Zaenuddin’s works entitled ‘Humor Politik Indonesia’. Data collection method used are listening and documentation method . Instrument which is used in this research is researcher herself and she uses water analysis method to analyze the data research. According to the results of data analysis, the researcher founds implicatures in Zanenuddin’s works. Conventional and conversational implicatures found in every utterances with functions like, a. wishing, b. ordering, and c. mocking or teasing function. Key words: implicature, humor, political, Zaenuddin Abstrak Implikatur dalam Buku Wacana Humor Politik Indonesia karya Zaenuddin HM: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan wujud implikatur percakapan dan wujud implikatur konvensional yang terdapat dalam buku karya Zaenuddin tersebut. Pendekatan yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah pendekatan kualitatif, yang merupakan jenis penelitian pragmatik. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Data dan sumber data yang bersumber dari buku humor politik karya Zaenuddin. Teknik yang digunakan ialah metode dokumentasi dan simak. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah diri sendiri. Teknis analisis menggunakan model air Miles dan Huberman (2014:18). Hasil analisis menemukan wujud implikatur dalam buku humor politik karya Zaenuddin adalah: menemukan wujud implikatur percakapan dan implikatur konvensional yang dalam setiap tuturan terdapat juga fungsi, fungsinya yaitu sebagai berikut a) fungsi mengharap, b) fungsi memerintah, c) fungsi menyindir, dan d) fungsi mengkritik. ABSTRACT This research aims to describe two things. First describes the feature of text fable students of Class VII SMP Negeri 2 Padang Panjang. Second, describe the spelling in the text fable the text of Class VII SMP Negeri 2 Padang Panjang. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. This research Data is the use of tasks in the text Fable class VII SMP Negeri 2 Padang Panjang. The data source in this study is fable text written in grade VII students. D SMP Negeri 2 Padang Panjang numbering 30 texts. Data is collected through documentation study methods or document utilization. The data analysis technique is done by five procedures. First, identify common elements of data. Secondly, it identifies the data based on the theory of reference. The identification of the data is done by creating the fable text and spelling characteristics identification format. Third, analyzing the data. Fourth, interpret the data that has been analyzed. Hati Suhita which is set in Java contains some philosophical and figurative languages. This research  aims to describe some figurative languages of Khilma Anis’s Hati Suhita and its relevance as a teaching material in high school. This is a descriptive qualitative research. The research data are in the form of words or sentences. The source of the data is the novel Hati Suhita and high school syllabus. The data collection techniques are read and note-taking techniques. The data analysis is then applied to the lists of figurative style passage dialogue using content analysis. The results showed that in the novel there were 32 styles of figurative languages. There are 6 data in the form of simile, 1 metaphorical, 12 personifications, 6 allusions, 6 eponymous data, and 1 data in the form of irony. Style that dominates the invention was the personification. Overall, the distinctive figurative language styles used in various forms of parables and comparisons in the novel are Javanese puppet characters and proverbs. This is unique in the discovery of language styles in this study. The results of the analysis of the language style in this novel have relevances as teaching materials with three KD, among them found in KD 3.9.4.9, 3.4.4.4, 3.9.4.9 of XI and XII degrees.AbstrakDalam novel Hati Suhita ditemukan gaya bahasa kiasan yang sarat akan budaya dan filosofi Jawa yang terkandung di dalamnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa kiasan yang terdapat dalam novel Hati Suhita karya Khilma Anis dan relevansinya sebagai bahan ajar di SMA. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Data berupa kata atau kalimat yang menunjukkan gaya bahasa kiasan. Sumber data berupa novel Hati Suhita dan silabus bahasa Indonesia pada jenjang SMA. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak dan catat, pencatatan dilakukan untuk menuliskan petikan dialog yang mengandung gaya bahasa kiasan. Teknik analisis menggunakan analisis isi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dalam novel tersebut terdapat 32 gaya bahasa kiasaan, yaitu 6 data gaya bahasa simile atau persamaan, 1 data metafora, 12 data personifikasi, 6 data alusi, 6 data eponimi, dan 1 data ironi. Gaya bahasa kiasan yang mendominasi adalah personifikasi. Kekhasan gaya bahasa kiasan yang digunakan dalam berbagai bentuk perumpamaan dan perbandingan pada novel tersebut adalah tokoh-tokoh pewayangan dan peribahasa Jawa. Hal tersebut merupakan keunikan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil analisis gaya bahasa dalam novel ini memiliki relevansi sebagai bahan ajar dengan tiga KD, di antaranya terdapat pada KD 3.9.4.9, 3.4.4.4, 3.9.4.9. yang terdapat pada kelas XI dan XII.

This research was aimed to find out the central character’s ego-state in the novel “The Pilgrimage”. It focused on analyzing the central character’s ego-state in the novel “The Pilgrimage”. The method of this research was descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques that used are documentation, reading, re-read identification, note taking and classification. Data analysis techniques was used three step namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. This research was analyzed by using psychology approaches of Eric Berne Transactional Analysis, especially concerning in Parent, Adult and Child system. The total of parent ego state found six, total of Adult ego state found nine, and total of child ego state found five.
