In the current market, there is a wide range of interesting technological solutions. So, it is recommended to properly research, identify and implement the solution which most suited to the information system strategy. In contemporary years due to the brisk development of internet technology, online business is gradually rampant. Website users are very demanding as all the time they expect the web services to be quickly and easily accessible from different places around the world, whenever they need it. Website users always need very rapid and quick responses. Website development is a process that takes time and takes more time if the development language is simple, which is not consistent with this quick and evolving world of technology. So that's why frameworks are developed to overcome these problems related to web development and to create websites very conveniently.

This research revealed the importance of public service web portals for an e-government information system. An e-government portal is interacting with its administrators, citizens, businesses and other governments helping them increase their operations performance. The authors have developed, modeled, formulated and compared an efficient assessment framework for e-government portals. In order to accomplish such task many quantitative factors and indicators were taken under consideration; also, other frameworks have been studied and compared. The authors focused on the web portals services quantity that the interested parties should use, in order to create an well designed public services’ web portal. This research provides a framework model to evaluate the basic common digital public services that a government offers to its interactive stakeholders, so that all other countries across the world can predefine weaknesses and strengths, improve existing or formulating new e-services. The importance of the assessment framework model is thoroughly explained through the results.

Internet technology continues to grow fast and has now become the dominant computing technology in developing software and computing applications. By fully taking advantage of the quick development of the service concept and modeling, Web services technology, as part of Internet technology, has rapidly evolved and made a drastic impact on enterprise integration. A deployed Web based service, relying on a suite of Internet based standard protocols, is self-contained, self-describing, and network-neutral computing component. It can be readily deployed, published, located, and invoked over the heterogeneous networks. This chapter starts with a brief introduction to the concepts of services and enterprise service computing. The Web service’s technical fundamentals are then fully explored. XML, SOAP, WSDL, and UDDI as the core technologies are further explained in great detail. Implementation examples are finally used to demonstrate how the Web services technology can be typically applied in integrating distributed applications across an organization.

Chapter II presented the main concepts underlying business services. Ultimately, as this book proposes, business services need to be decomposed into networks of executable Web services. Web services are the primary software technology available today that closely matches the characteristics of business services. To understand the mapping from business to Web services, we need to understand the fundamental characteristics of the latter. This chapter therefore will introduce the main Web services concepts and standards. It does not intend to be a comprehensive description of all standards applicable to Web services, as many of them are still in a state of flux. It focuses instead on the more important and stable standards. All such standards are fully and precisely defined and maintained by the organizations that have defined and endorsed them, such as the World Wide Web Consortium (http://w3c. org), the OASIS organization (http://www.oasis-open.org) and others. We advise readers to visit periodically the Web sites describing the various standards to obtain the up to date versions.

While much attention is currently being devoted to solving technological challenges of the Internet, for example increasing the bandwidth on existing narrowband network platforms to overcome bottlenecks, little attention appears to be given to the nontechnical aspects. This has been a mistake in the past as human resistance to, or incompetence during, the introduction of new Information Technology (IT) often caused Information Systems (IS) to fail. By focusing on a broad range of technical and nontechnical elements early in the adoption of Internet technology, we have the opportunity to avoid the mistakes made in the past. The Internet has given rise to electronic commerce (e-commerce) through the use of the World Wide Web (Web). E-commerce, by its nature, offers enormous possibilities but in an uncontrolled environment. Therefore, for e-commerce to be accepted, trust must be established as soon as interaction with a Web site begins. In the virtual environment of the Web trust has become even more important because the parties are not in physical proximity. There are no handshakes or body language to be observed when closing a deal. Furthermore, jurisdiction is unclear. Developments on a global scale are required that provide assurance that e-commerce can be conducted in a ‘trusting’ manner.

A Web service is a software system that supports interoperable application-to-application interactions over a network. Web services are based on a set of XML standards such as Universal Description, Discovery and Integration (UDDI), Web Services Description Language (WSDL), and Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP). Recently, there have been increasing demands and discussions about Web services privacy technologies in the industry and research community. To enable privacy protection for Web service consumers across multiple domains and services, the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) published a document called “Web Services Architecture (WSA) Requirements” that defines some fundamental privacy requirements for Web services. However, no comprehensive solutions to the various privacy issues have been so far defined. For these reasons, this chapter will focus on privacy technologies by first discussing the main privacy issues in WSA and related protocols. Then, this chapter illustrates the standardization efforts going on in the context of privacy for Web services and proposes different technical approaches to tackle the privacy issues.

Most of the dramatically increased amount of information available on the World Wide Web is provided via HTML and formatted for human browsing rather than for software programs. This situation calls for a tool that automatically extracts information from semistructured Web information sources, increasing the usefulness of value-added Web services. We present a <u>si</u>gnal-<u>r</u>epresentation-b<u>a</u>sed <u>p</u>arser (SIRAP) that breaks Web pages up into logically coherent groups - groups of information related to an entity, for example. Templates for records with different tag structures are generated incrementally by a Histogram-Based Correlation Coefficient (HBCC) algorithm, then records on a Web page are detected efficiently using templates generated by matching. Hundreds of Web pages from 17 state-of-the-art search engines were used to demonstrate the feasibility of our approach.

There is a huge development in the Information Technology or IT sector recently. Also, there is a massive use of Geographic Information System or in short, we say as GIS nowadays. Tourism Industry is getting more and more advantage specially from GIS. GIS and Tourism Industry are bonding together in a smooth and progressive manner. In order to connect GIS and Tourism, that means in order to establish a bonding between them network is required or we can say connectivity is required. Network allows nodes to share resources in digital telecommunications. So, GIS and Tourism are interconnected with network. Network form infrastructure of modern society. When tourists visit a new place, they might not know about the place in a detailed manner or it might be just a new place for them. Even services like Google which uses the Navigation system and uses the GIS system might not have all details of a place of very low tourist interests. But here we propose Intelligent Tourist Guide System using Web Development which will help tourists travelling to different parts of the world and also local people can advertise their place in order to make it a Tourist Spot and make their area famous.

ABSTRACTInformation systems are made to assist activities in an organization and the decisions of its leaders. Many information systems have been created by the organization, but the data or information produced always stands alone, resulting in difficulties in getting information related to information systems in the organization, duplication of information and making the information, not in the form of a complete and intact unit. The web as a means of delivering simple information from one place to another through computer networks. The web can also be used as a means of interoperability and information sharing between information systems in an organization. An information system client located on a computer network can request data services in the form of web services to an information system server that provides requested data services in an easy way.JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) is a set of rules for formatting lightweight text-based data used in data exchange. Web services (web services) on communication between information systems to exchange information can use JSON to get the ease of getting the information needed and to obtain data integrity generated from various information systems in the organization. The researcher develops web services to share data between information systems needed by other information systems in a format using JSON. Nowadays, due to the ease of availability of internet technology large numbers of people are using the World Wide Web. The companies are changing their way to do business. They are shifting from a data-oriented system to a service-oriented system. Now companies are able to depict their business in the form of web services and make them available on the internet. Due to this number of web services are available for satisfying the user’s need. But to select the best web service that satisfies user specification is a challenging issue. So, it is necessary to consider not only the functional requirement of the web services but also the nonfunctional requirements of the web services. On the other hand, users are not able to specify the exact nonfunctional parameter requirements so, there is a need for QoS processor which can understand the user's need and can extract the parameters for QoS. In this paper, a modified TOPSIS approach based on MCDM is proposed for the selection of efficient web service. The web services that are near to user expectations are selected out using the proposed method. Experimental outcomes show that the proposed approach determines the most promising results.
