This research aims to examine the effects of coaching and mentoring on Employee performance in the UK hotel industry. It also examines the extent of employee performance in association to coaching and mentoring; and examines the effects of coaching and mentoring on overall organisational performance. This study is based on cross-sectional method, deductive and quantitative approach. A sample of 172 managers and supervisors who have already worked as coach or mentors in the respective hotels are chosen by using convenience sampling technique. The survey strategy by using structured questionnaires was used for data collection. The collected data was analysed by using arithmetic mean, correlation, regression with the help of SPSS 20. This research confirmed that coaching and mentoring are positively correlated to employee performance and both factors have significant effect on employee performance. As the regression analysis shows that coaching has significant effects on overall employee performance as β = 0.466 and P = 0.007 which is less than 0.05. Similarly, mentoring has also significant effects on overall employee performance as β = 0.457, and P = 0.008 which is less than 0.05. Similarly, coaching and overall organisational performance are positively and significantly correlated as r = 0.707; and mentoring and overall organisational performance are also positively correlated as r = 0.456. The regression analysis shows that coaching has significant effects on overall organisational performance as β = 0.700 and P = 0.002 which is less than 0.05. But, mentoring has not significant effects on overall organisational performance as β = 0.010 and P = 0.961 which is greater than 0.05.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3126/ijssm.v2i2.12323           Int. ABSTRAKKeberhasilan pengelolaan sumber daya manusia sangat ditentukan oleh berbagai aspek dalam organisasi seperti kepemimpinan, pelatihan, motivasi, dan kompetensi kerja. Hotel yang sukses adalah hotel yang mampu mengelola sumber daya manusia menjadi kekuatan yang dapat bersatu memiliki komitmen dan motivasi kerja yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh pelatihan, motivasi, dan kompetensi terhadap kinerja karyawan di Hotel Sahid Jaya Lippo Cikarang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian asosiatif dengan sistem cross-sectional. Teknik sampling yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini yaitu sampling jenuh dan didapatkan sampel sebanyak 124 orang karyawan. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan analisis regresi berganda menunjukan bahwa hasil uji hipotesis secara parsial yakni variabel pelatihan, motivasi, dan kompetensi memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis secara simultan, menunjukan bahwa variabel pelatihan, motivasi, dan kompetensi memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan di Hotel Sahid Jaya Lippo Cikarang.Kata kunci: Kinerja Karyawan, Pelatihan, Motivasi, Kompetensi.  ABSTRACTThe success of human resource management is very much determined by various aspects in as leadership organization , training , motivation , and competence of work .The successful Hotel is the hotel that capable of managing human resources who has high  commitment and high motivation. This research aims to understand how big the influence of training , motivation , and competence on the performance of employees in Sahid Jaya Lippo Cikarang Hotel. The associative research with cross sectional system is  used in this research. Sampling technique used is saturated sampling with total of 125 employees as respondents. The results of this research with the use of double regression analysis show that the results of the hypotheses test in partial namely training , motivation , and competency variables having significant influence on the performance of the employee .Based on the results of the test hypotheses simultaneously , show that the variable of training , motivation , and competency are having significant influence on the performance of employees in Sahid Jaya Lippo Cikarang Hotel.Keywords: Employee Performance, Training, Motivation, Competency.

<p>Training and development of employees and job satisfaction of employees are two crucial components for the performance of employee. In this study the influence of training and development on employee performance through job satisfaction is studied. 115 questionnaires were distributed among employees i.e. executives and managers of Telecom companies in Abbottabad, Haripur and Mansehra of which 105 were returned. Convenience sampling technique was used for data collection. The response rate was 91%. The finding of our study showed positive impact of training and development and job satisfaction with employee performance. Training and development will lead to higher job satisfaction level in employees and they will fulfill their duties with a great deal of responsibility with best performance.</p>

Organizational commitment is a level or awareness of a person to recognize the extent of an organization and is bound to its goals so as to accelerate the organization to achieve its objectives. Competence is knowledge, skills, and abilities that are mastered by someone who has become a part of him, so he can do cognitive, affective, and psychomotor behaviors as well as possible. Employee performance is the result of work in quality and quantity achieved by someone in carrying out their functions in accordance with the responsibilities given to him.The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of commitment and competence on employee performance at PT. BPR Duta Bali. The sampling technique used is a saturated sampling technique. The sample in this study was 40 employees. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis with the SPSS program. The results of the study state that the commitment variable has a positive effect on employee performance. Competency variables do not affect employee performance. Commitment and competency variables simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance

Background: One of problems in an organization or company is poor performance of employees. For instance, they do not complete tasks or finish their job responsibilities on time. The preliminary data taken from one of companies in Surabaya showed that 184 employees did not come to work without any explanations, and 288 employees worked late.Aim: This study analyzed the relationships between discipline and emotional intelligence towards employee performance at the company.Method: The design of this research was analytical using a cross sectional approach. The population of this study was employees at Production and Maintenance Section of one company in Surabaya comprising of 155 people. Out of 155 employees, 89 respondents were taken as samples using a stratified random sampling technique. Then, the data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using Spearman’s rank correlation test with a significance level of α 0.05.Results: This study showed that most of the respondents were very highly disciplined (94.4%) and had a highly emotional intelligence (74.2%). Lastly, most of them perform satisfyingly (50.6%). The results of the analysis test with Spearman’s rank correlation yielded p-value of 0.002 <α 0.05. It means there was a correlation between  discipline attitude and employee performance. The p-value 0.001 which was less than α-value of 0.05 showed that there was a correlation between emotional intelligence and employee performance.Conclusion: Discipline and emotional intelligence are prominent to determine employee performance at PT X. In order to improve the discipline and intelligence in the performance of the employees, the company should provide rewards based on employee’s achievements in the workplace. Key words: Emotional intelligence, Employee performance, Discipline.

<em>This study aims to determine the Effect of Leadership and Organizational Culture on Employee Performance of PT. Kao Indonesia. The population in this study amounted to 300 employees. By using the Slovin formula a sample of 75 employees was obtained. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. This study uses a quantitative approach, data for this study were obtained through a questionnaire that was filled out by respondents who had been determined. The data analysis method used is a simple and multiple linear regression analysis method. The research results partially show that leadership has a significant effect on employee performance. Organizational culture has a significant effect on employee performance. While simultaneously leadership variables and organizational culture have a positive and significant effect on the performance of employees of PT. Kao Indonesia.</em>

This study aims to analyse the effect of tax services, tax amnesty, taxation knowledge, and tax sactions on taxpayer compliance. The population in the study is an individual taxpayer in the city of Yogyakarta. The sample in the study was an individual taxpayer in the city of Yogyakarta, and took part in the tax amnesty program. The sampling technique in this study used the convenience sampling method. Responden in the study amounted 60 respondents. The data anlysis technique in this study used multiple linear regression analysis. This study obtained result that taxpayer compliance in influenced by tax services and tax amnesty programs. However, taxation knowledge and tax saction does not affect taxpayer compliance. The cause of taxation knowledge does not affest taxpayer compliance, perhaps the understanding of taxpayers regarding the procedures for payment and reporting is still minimal. Meanwhile, the reason for lack of support fot tax sanction on taxpayer compliance, perhaps because taxpayers consider that saction given when taxpayer violate laws are still mild. Therefore, these two reasons are factors that encourage taxpayers to behave disobediently.

The main aim of undertaking this study was to understand the effect of stress on employee performance in the Ethiopian Revenues and Customs Authority (ERCA) in South West Ethiopia (SWE). The research design for this particular study is a cross-sectional field survey research design. By using stratified simple random sampling technique, 390 employees were selected as a sample and from this, 350 were valid. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used for analysis. Research shows that all factors of stress adversely affect employee performance. Therefore, the findings point out that the performance of employees is negatively affected by stress in ERCA. Finally, the study recommended that to reduce stress, the current work schedule needs to be adjusted and workload should be lifted from employees, assigning a reasonable level of responsibility, promoting positive organizational culture and improving the organizational climate, and preparing a well-documented organization-specific stress management programs.

Abstract This study was conducted to find out frequency of hearing impairment in middle ear infection. The study design was a cross- sectional survey, conducted from August 2018 to January 2019 in the ENT Department of Children's Hospital Lahore. The data was collected through convenience sampling technique among 52 patients of middle ear infection. The measurements for level of hearing impairment were taken. The data was analyzed using statistical package for social sciences, SPSS 20.0 Out of total 52, There were found 15 (28.8%) had once a month ear infection and 37 (71.2%) had off and 35 (67.3%) patients had mild hearing, 13 (25%) had moderate, 2(3.8%) severe and 2 (3.8%) had normal hearing loss. The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence the product display and promotion partially on consumer purchasing decisions on books published by Mizan at Gunung Agung BSD Tangerang bookstore and to find out how much influence the product displays and promotions simultaneously on consumer purchasing decisions on books published by Mizan at the Gunung Agung BSD Tangerang bookstore. This research is causality with quantitative approach. The population in this study is Mizan's book customers at the Gunung Agung BSD bookstore Tangerang with convenience sampling technique obtained samples of 69 respondents. Data analysis techniques used in this study are: data quality tests including validity and reliability, the classic assumption test of normality, multicollinearity, heterocendatisity, regression analysis that is multiple regression, partial t, simultaneous F and coefficient of determination. The results of the study are as follows: (1) The results of first hypothesis that is no significant influence between product displays on consumer purchasing decisions, (2) The results of second hypothesis that is a positive and significant effect between promotions on decisions consumer purchases, and (3) The results of third hypothesis, namely product display and promotion together have a positive and significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions.
