Present paper deals with the major principles of Buddhism and its need for maintaining global peace. The concept of philosophy, Buddha as an Incarnation of Vishnu, origin and evolution of Buddhism and its spatial diffusion, the Buddhist Councils, major Schools of Buddhism, and Buddha's Teachings for global peace are the major areas of discussion in this paper. Buddha's Teachings provide many practical techniques that are useful for calming anger, controlling desire and creating harmonious relationships. Present world is full of violence and corruption. People are in need of comfort that comes from a spiritual path and teaches nonviolence, contentment, compassion, generosity of spirit, and peace of mind. Buddhism teaches us to cultivate peace in our hearts and work to relieve the sufferings of all living beings. This study aims at understanding how the perceptions about migrants have been created and transferred into daily life as a stigmatization by means of public perception, media and state law implementations.  The focus would be briefly what kind of consequences these perceptions and stigmatization might lead. First section will examine the background of migration to Turkey briefly and make a summary of migration towards Turkey by 90s. Second section will briefly evaluate the preferential legal framework, which constitutes the base for official discourse differentiating the migrants and implementations of security forces that can be described as discriminatory. The third section deals with the impact of perceptions influential in both formation and reproduction of inclusive and exclusive practices towards migrant women. Additionally, impact of public perception in classifying the migrants and migratory processes would be dealt in this section.

Resumen: El presente artículo titulado “Fortalecimiento del pensamiento numérico a través de estrategias didácticas que desarrollen competencias comunicativas en los estudiantes del grado tercero de educación primaria”, se refiere a una investigación que se encuentra en proceso, la cual surge de las experiencias pedagógicas vividas por su autora, quien ha venido observando las dificultades comunicativas que presentan los educandos de este grado y nivel de estudio, por lo cual considera pertinente diseñar diversas estrategias didácticas, que les permitirán no solamente fortalecer su pensamiento numérico, sino también facilitaran su proceso comunicacional que se proyectará en su vida diaria. Para el logro de este objetivo se propone una metodología de investigación acción, desde el enfoque cualitativo, donde el objeto de estudio es el proceso de aprendizaje de 14 estudiantes del grado tercero, de la jornada de la mañana de la Sede José Eusebio Caro No. 23, cuyas edades promedio está entre los 8 y 11años. Se utilizan como instrumentos de recolección de información los resultados obtenidos en las pruebas SABER con su respectivo análisis, el conversatorio, la prueba diagnóstica, la observación directa, el diario pedagógico y la aplicación de talleres en clase.Palabras clave Pensamiento numérico, Estrategias didácticas, Competencias Comunicativas, Educación PrimariaAbstract: This article entitled “Strengthening numerical thinking through didactic strategies that develop communicative skills in students in the third grade of primary education”, refers to a research that is in process, which arises from the pedagogical experiences experienced by its author, who has been observing the communicative difficulties presented by the students of this degree and level of study, for which it considers pertinent to design various teaching strategies, which will allow them not only to strengthen their numerical thinking, but also to facilitate their communicational process that will be projected in your daily life. To achieve this goal, an action research methodology is proposed, from the qualitative approach, where the object of study is the learning process of 14 students of the third grade, of the morning session of the Headquarters José Eusebio Caro No. 23, whose average ages are between 8 and 11 years. The results obtained in the SABER tests with their respective analysis, the discussion, the diagnostic test, the direct observation, the pedagogical diary and the application of workshops in class are used as instruments for gathering information.Keywords Numerical thinking, didactic strategies, communication skills, primary education.

This essay reviews some of the most important novels of the third millennium about entrepreneurs to test the cogency of these concepts. From American Pastoral by Philip Roth to Beautiful You by Chuck Palahniuk, from The Human Resources Manager by Abraham Yehoshua to Zero K by Don DeLillo, the essay describes the present world as a society of wasted desire and the life of the company as a constant search for meaning.

The Byzantine state inherited a large number of defensive structures, on its borders and in the hinterland where ancient cities were refortified in response to barbarian raids, primarily during the third century. The fundamental characteristics of fortification architecture developed during the sixth century. Nevertheless, criteria for the selection of the location, dimensions, and certain construction and morphological features of the forts, towers, and city/barrier walls, were continually adapted to changes in society and state until the end of the empire. Systematic study of the defensive architectural remains including excavation, creation of synthetic works, and reliable maps will allow researchers to date, compare, and understand the evolution of fortification architecture as well as aspects of daily life in the empire.

The author seeks to contribute to the field of frontier studies with bioarchaeological data, in the hopes of understanding how living in relative proximity, but under different sociopolitical organizations, may affect health. The goal of this research is to examine differences in overall health between two groups that have been characterized in the literature as “Romans” and “barbarians.” The research uses skeletal remains to address how the daily life of people under Roman-Byzantine control compared to that of their neighbors, the “barbarians” to the north. Comparing two contemporaneous populations from the territory of modern Romania—and dating from the third to the sixth centuries CE—the study examines health status and traumatic injuries. One collection comes from the territory under Roman-Byzantine control, the site of Ibida (Slava Rusă) from the Roman province of Scythia Minor, and the other originates from the Târgşor site, located to the north of the Danube frontier, in what was considered the “barbaricum.” Separated by a definite frontier, the Danube River, meant to (at least ideologically) segregate them to their divided worlds, these populations might have been more interconnected than the carefully promulgated imperial doctrine would have us believe.

AbstractThis paper seeks to develop a new typology of revisionism based on the nature of the aims (territorial/normative/hierarchy of prestige), the means employed (peaceful/violent), and the level of action (regional/global). This will then be used to explain the escalation of Russia's foreign policy from regional to global claims with reference to its military interventions in Georgia, Ukraine, and Syria and to identify the type of revisionism involved in each of the three Russian military interventions undertaken both inside (Georgia and Ukraine) and outside (Syria) the post-soviet space. The paper is divided into three parts. The first examines the concept of revisionism and suggests a new classification of six types in relation to the means, nature, and level of the claims put forward by revisionist powers. The second discusses the interventions carried out by Russia within its regional area (in Georgia and Ukraine). The third analyses the intervention in Syria and highlights the escalation of Russian claims from the regional to the global level.

The goal of this article is to provide an overview of the literature on global governance, key elements for understanding its conceptualization, and a gateway to capture its multidimensionality. From this perspective, global governance is conceived as a framework of analysis or intellectual device to study the complexity of global processes involving multiple actors that interact at different levels of interest aggregation. The article is divided into four parts. The first section describes the origins, definitions, and characteristics of global governance. The second categorizes global governance based on different thematic areas where there is a confluence of governance practices, on the one hand, and the inclusion of a global level of interaction, on the other. The third discusses the different conceptual inquiries and innovations that have been developed around the term. Finally, the last part maps the different academic institutions that have focused their research on global governance and offer programs on this subject.

This research aimed to investigate the Jordanian school students’ attitudes towards Physical Education In Jordanian School, 100 UNRWA schools were recruited from (4) education area in Jordan, 50 students with a total (500) students from 8th -10th grade. Questionnaire was distributed to students the questionnaire with a 5-point Likert-type scale, with 20 items. Mean, SD, & (ANOVA) was utilized to determine the current status of the Attitude for the students, findings showed that the highest score was Item 2, which state that “(PE) is not only beneficial to those who are already in good body conditioning”, The second highest score was Item 16, which said that “During high school years, anybody who is serious about (PE) is not foolish”. The third highest score was Item 11, which the students believed that “Physical exercise is the best way to obtain a youthful looking and agile body.” The fourth highest score was Item 18, in which the students did not believe that “High school would be better without (PE) activities classes.” The fifth highest score was Item 5, in which the students believed that “Physical exercise provides an important relief from the stress of one’s daily life.” Beside of that, the overall mean score for the 20 items was 70.160+3.948 indicating that the students in this study certainly possessed positive ATPEA.According to the findings of this study the researchers recommend to improve PE experiences and promote positive ATPEA in Jordan school students: (1) Increase students number to involve in motor activities within class and free time (3) Multiple teaching strategies to be applied to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Lenses on spirituality and being church; the road ahead for the Netherdutch Reformed Church of Africa (NRCA). At this point of time the Netherdutch Reformed Church of Africa (NRCA) is facing the seemingly unsolvable dilemma of not being able to handle diversity in a positive manner. By applying three lenses to the current impasse with regards to the church’s struggle with diversity, this article aims at providing an answer to the question of how to proceed. The first lens addresses the challenge to maintain spiritual health and harmony in the midst of differences and tension in the church. The theory behind systems sensitive leadership as lens serves as the guideline to achieve the necessary spiritual health that the church needs in such challenging times. The second lens explores the inner Christian spiritual path in a both developmental and comprehensive way. Drawing on the work of Paul Smith this lens sets forth the developmental framework by which Christians grow inwardly in their understanding of Jesus and his teachings. The third lens is a view on a practice whereby the validity of intellectual positions, statements, or ideologies could be appraised as an innate quality in any subject. This lens opens a unique perspective which provides not only a new understanding of humanity’s journey in the universe, but also serves as a guide to were we and the whole cosmos are on our personal journeys to become who we could be. The vision that is provided by these three lenses has the capacity not only to serve as guidelines, but also to provide the tools to handle the challenges the church has to face on the road a head.

Sickle cell disease (SCD) is one of the most common genetic causes of illness and death in the world. This is a review of SCD in Africa, which bears the highest burden of disease. The first section provides an introduction to the molecular basis of SCD and the pathophysiological mechanism of selected clinical events. The second section discusses the epidemiology of the disease (prevalence, morbidity, and mortality), at global level and within Africa. The third section discusses the laboratory diagnosis and management of SCD, emphasizing strategies that been have proven to be effective in areas with limited resources. Throughout the review, specific activities that require evidence to guide healthcare in Africa, as well as strategic areas for further research, will be highlighted.
