Strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran kurang membangun kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika peserta didik sehingga menyebabkan peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam pemecahan masalah matematika. Proses pembelajaran dapat diperbaiki dengan menerapkan model Problem Based Learning. Kegiatan peserta didik dalam model pembelajaran tersebut diharapkan dapat berlangsung optimal manakala dilengkapi dengan hands on activity. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui mana yang lebih baik antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik pada kelas dengan model pembelajaran problem based learning berbasis hands on activity atau pada kelas pembelajaran konvensional. Selain itu, juga untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik menggunakan strategi Polya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mixed methods. Metode penelitian yang mengkombinasikan atau menggabungkan antara metode penelitian kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik dengan menggunakan langkah polya pada pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis hands on activity lebih baik daripada kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik pada pembelajaran ekspositori. (2) Penyebab kesalahan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah (TKPM) ditinjau dari langkah-langkah Polya yaitu antara lain: (a) peserta didik tidak terbiasa dengan bahasa soal yang rumit (memahami masalah); (b) peserta didik kurang cermat sehingga ketika mengerjakan soal sering terjadi salah menggunakan rumus (menyusun rencana penyelesaian); (c) peserta didik kurang teliti sehingga ketika mengerjakan soal sering terjadi salah perhitungan (melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian); (d) peserta didik kurang bisa memanfaatkan waktu pengerjaan dengan baik (melihat kembali). It causes students get difficulties in solving mathematical problems The learning process can be improved by applying learning models that can improve problem solving skill for students, one of which is the Problem Based Learning learning model. The activities of students in the learning model are expected to be optimal when equipped with activities. The purpose of this study is to find out which is better between students' problem solving abilities in the class with a problem-based learning model that is hand-based on activities or in conventional learning classes. The type of research used in this study is a mixed method. Research method that combines or researches between quantitative and qualitative research methods. The results of this study are as follows: (1) The problem solving ability of students by using the Polya steps in Problem Based Learning learning based on hands on activity is better than students' problem solving abilities in expository learning  (2) The cause of the students' mistakes in completing the problem solving ability based on Polya's steps are: (a) students cannot use complex language (problem solving); (B) students do not accurately solve problems often occur using the formula (c) students are not thorough so working on the problem often occurs miscalculation (d) students can not take the time to work properly (looking back). This study aims to determine the ability of solving mathematical problems by using model Problem Based Instruction and the effect of problem based learning model Instruction on students' problem-solving abilities. The research method used experimental method to the type of field research and quantitative approaches. The sample in this study were students of class VII-B MTs Noorhidayah Darussalam in comparison with the material research design One-group pretest-posttest design. Design Research, the study was conducted only in one class as a class experiment. The data analyzed were taken from the value pretest and posttest study siswa.Hasil get the result that the problem solving process of students in the material ratio is in conformity with the learning pace of Problem Based Instruction, and there are significant learning model of problem-based instruction to the student's ability in problems solving on material ratio. Key Words : problem solving in mathematics, problem based instruction, comparasion

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan aktivitas belajar, motivasi belajar dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas pada konsep gerak lurus yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPA 3 SMAN 3 Kota Bengkulu yang berjumlah 33 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa jumlah skor rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa siklus I sebesar 43 dalam kategori aktif, siklus II sebesar 48 dalam kategori aktif, dan siklus III sebesar 51 dalam kategori aktif. Motivasi belajar siswa sebelum mengikuti proses pembelajaran berada pada kategori rendah dengan tinggi rata-rata yaitu 71,73 dan pada saat setelah mengikuti proses pembelajaran skor rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa meningkat menjadi 77,32 yang berada pada kategori tinggi. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada siklus I yaitu 75,53 dengan kategori KPM sedang, pada siklus II yaitu 85,53 dengan kategori KPM tinggi dan siklus III yaitu 90,68 dengan kategori KPM sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Problem Based Learning  berbantu alat peraga dapat meningkatkan aktivitasbelajar, motivasi belajar dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa.Kata kunci: Model Probem Based Lerning, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Siswa, Alat Peraga, Konsep Gerak LurusABSTRACT This research was aimed at knowing the increase in learning activities, learning motivation and students' problem solving abilities. This research was a classroom action research on the concept of straight motion carried out in three cycles. The subjects of this study were all students of class X Science 3 of SMAN 3 Kota Bengkulu, total 33 students. The results of this study indicated that the total score of the average learning activities of students in the first cycle was 43 in the active category, second cycle was 48 in the active category, and the third cycle was 51 in the active category. Student learning motivation before participating in the learning process was in the low category with the average height of 71.73 and after the learning process the average score of students' learning motivation increased to 77.32 which is in the high category. The ability of student problem solving in the first cycle was 75.53 with a moderate KPM category, in the second cycle was 85.53 with a high KPM category and the third cycle was 90.68 with the very high KPM category. Based on the results of this research it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by science model tools can increase learning activities, learning motivation and students' problem solving abilities. Keywords: Problem Based Learning Model, Students' Problem Solving Abilities, Science Model Tools, Straight Motion Concept.

Abstract. This study aims to find out what cooperative learning method is most effective in improving students’ activity and motivation in Statistics subject. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects of this study are the 5th semester students of PGSD Study Program with total number 35 students. Instruments used consist of: (1) Observation sheet of learning implementation; (2) Observation sheet of students’ activity in learning with assessment on students’ oral activities, visual activities, listening activities, writing activities and emotional activities; (3) Observation sheets of group effectiveness with assessment on the efficiency aspects of problem solving and member participation; (4) Questionnaire of motivation to find out to which extent the learning can improve student's motivation which is seen from the students perception of their satisfaction in learning. The research results show that when PBM learning model is used in cycle 1 and Jigsaw learning model is used in cycle 2, Jigsaw is better than PBM learning model.Keywords: Problem-based learning model, Jigsaw Learning Model, activity and learning motivation.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa serta strategi pembelajaran yang masih bertumpu pada guru. Salah satu alternatifnya yakni diterapkalah strategi pembelajaran Problem Based Learning, karena strategi ini diharapakan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui pencapaian akhir dan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran Problem Based Learning lebih baik dari pada siswa yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran Inkuiri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi ekperiment dengan desain non-equivalent control group. Teknik sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dimana kelas IV-A sebagai kelas ekperimen dan kelas IV-B sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis data menunjukan rata-rata skor posttest kelas ekperimen 75,03 dan kelas kontrol 68,7. Rata-rata data Gain kelas ekperimen 0,59 dan kelas kontrol 0,51. Hasil analisis tersebut memberikan kesimpulan bahwa pencapaian akhir dan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas ekperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol.The research is motivated by the low mathematical problem solving abilities of students and learning strategies that are still based on the teacher. One of the alternative is to apply the learning strategies of Problem Based Learning, because this strategy is expected to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This study has a goal whether the final achievement and improvement of students' mathematical problem solving abilities using Problem Based Learning learning strategies is better than students who use Inquiry learning strategies. The research method used was a quasi experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. The sample technique used purposive sampling technique, where class IV-A as the experimental class and class IV-B as the control class. The results of data analysis showed an average posttest score of experimental class 75.03 and control class 68.7. The average Gain data of the experimental class is 0.59 and the control class is 0.51. The results of the analysis provide the conclusion that the final achievement and improvement of experimental class mathematical problem solving abilities are better than the control class.

This research is motivated by not maximal enhancement of the ability of learning outcomes concept understanding and solving problems in material recycling water using problem based learning model. Through this research studied solutions to solve these problems, by performing learning using a blended model of Problem Based Learning. The shape Blended conducted among which are: the provision of stimulus in the form of audiovisual media before and when learning, students are given assignments in connection with the matter further, so that students read many books about the matter further and ready to learn, provide encouragement and approaches for learning, and improve the effectiveness of learning time. The purpose of this study is to provide solutions to improve understanding of concepts and problem solving in science subjects in grade V. The experiment was conducted in SDN Tanjung III Subang using a quasy-experimental methods. For the experimental group performed several Blended allegedly able to complete lack of problem based learning model, while for the control class performed the usual problem based learning model. The instrument used to conduct research that is: test the ability of understanding the concept and problem solving as well as observation sheets teacher activity and student responses. The results showed differences in the ability of understanding the concept and problem solving significant between experimental class and control class, n-gain Blended problem based learning model is better than usual, and there is increased activity of teachers and students' responses to learning.

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kontekstual dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang dianalisis melalui lembar jawaban siswa Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Salapian dengan sampel penelitian adalah Kelas VII-B yang diberikan perlakukan pembelajaran kontekstual dan kelas VII-C yang diberikan perlakuan pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Terdapat perbedaan kemamuan pemecahan masalah matematika antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kontekstual dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Pada penelitian ini didapat bahwa proses jawaban siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kontekstual lebih baik dari proses jawaban siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran berbasis masalah.Kata kunci:   Pembelajaran kontekstual, pembelajaran berbasis masalah, kemampuanpemecahan masalah ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to determine the differences in mathematical problem solving abilities of students who obtain contextual learning with students who obtain problem-based learning which is analyzed through student answer sheets. This research is a quasi-experimental study. The population in this study was the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Salapian with a sample of the study was Class VII-B which was given the treatment of contextual learning and class VII-C given the treatment of problem-based learning. There are differences in the ability to solve mathematical problems between students who get contextual learning with students who get problem-based learning. This article is based on the fact that problem-solving is a basic skill that every student should possess. To improve the student`s mindset through the effort to find problem-solving independently, so the learning activities should be centered on the students. The purpose of this study is to determine the comparison and improvement of students mathematical problem-solving abilities, as well as student attitudes toward the learning model problem-centered learning and problem-based learning. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with purposive sampling. The first experimental class that was class VIII I that got problem-centered learning model as much as 31 students, and the second experimental class that was class VIII H who got the problem-based learning model as many as 31 students. From the research and statistical calculations result, obtained the conclusion that the mathematical problem-solving ability students who got the model centered learning problem was better than students who got the model of learning problem-based learning. Meanwhile, for improvement of problem-solving abilities of mathematical students who got the learning model problem-centered learning and problem based learning each intermediate interpretation. And generally, the students’ attitude to the learning of mathematics by using the learning model problem-centered learning and problem-based learning are well interpreted.

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan pentingnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas model Problem Based Learning dan model Cooperative Learning tipe Think Pair Share berbantuan geogebra. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen. Metode pengumpulan data terdiri dari dokumentasi, tes, dan observasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini digunakan analisis variansi, regresi, dan uji proporsi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang mendapat model PBL berbantuan geogebra memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis sama dengan siswa yang mendapat model TPS berbantuan geogebra, dan kedua model pembelajaran tersebut menghasilkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa lebih baik daripada model pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa pada model PBL dan TPS berbantuan geogebra, terdapat pengaruh keaktifan belajar siswa dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematisnya. Model PBL dan TPS berbantuan geogebra juga menghasilkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang memenuhi ketuntasan klasikal. Kata kunci: Problem Based Learning, Think Pair Share, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis.   ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the importance of students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning model and the Cooperative Learning model Think Pair Share type assisted by geogebra. The type of research used is experimental research. Data collection methods consist of documentation, testing, and observation. Data analysis in this study used analysis of variance, regression, and proportion test. The results of this study indicate that students who get geogebra-assisted PBL models have the same mathematical problem solving abilities as students who get geogebra-assisted TPS models, and both of these learning models produce students' mathematical problem-solving abilities better than conventional learning models. The results also showed that in the PBL and TPS models assisted by geogebra, there was an influence on students' learning activeness with their mathematical problem solving abilities. The geogebra-assisted PBL and TPS models also produce problem-solving abilities that meet classical completeness. The   aims   of   this   research   are focused  to  examine  the  effect  of  learning model      was      estimated      to      decrease mathematics    anxiety    and    to    increase student's    mathematical    problem    solving ability.  The  instrument  that  used  for  this research were ability test of problem solving in math and mathematics quosionaire with likert  scale.  The  data  analysis  used  mixed method embedded konkruen method. Based on  data  analysis  concluded  (1)  the  result show the increasing student's mathematical problem  solving  ability  by  problem  based learning  model  better  than  by  expository teaching; (2) increasing quality of studen'ts mathematical   problem   solving   ability   by problem   based   learning   better   than   by expository      teaching.      (3)      significant differences between mathematics anxiety and the accomplisment of student's matematical problem  solving  ability  by  problem  based learning  and  by  expository  teaching  (4) significant  differences  between  decreasing mathematics   anxiety   and   increasing   of student's    mathematical    problem    solving ability  by  problem  based  learning  and  by expository   teaching.    and    (5)   there   is significan relationship between mathematics anxiety and the accomplishment of student's mathematical problem solving ability.

This writing aims to implement a learning model based on the characteristics and analysis of students' thinking by using the right model and strategy in order to obtain optimal learning outcomes. There are problems in education when students are faced with a problem to solve, some students have been able to solve, but some students have problems. Students do not maximize the existing learning resources, students are only fixated on one source, namely the book used, not trying to find answers in other sources. The learning model is one component that is needed in supporting the success of a learning process. The learning model is a learning design that is designed to facilitate the learning process. Learning model Double Loop Problem Solving is one of the learning models that can improve the analysis process of thinking students in solving problems. But the double loop learning model of problem solving has a lack of discipline and lack of student responsibility in solving a problem. Therefore modifications are needed in implementing the learning model Double Loop Problem Solving with task and forced strategies. Forced and forced learning strategies are in the form of giving assignments routinely with little coercion to be collected in a short time or a specified time. The purpose of modifying the Double Loop Problem Solving learning model is to develop individual abilities of students and get maximum learning outcomes with high discipline.
