There have been presented the study results of 11 collection hulled oats samples in comparison with the standard variety ‘Krechet’ conducted at the Falenskaya selection station of the FARC the North-East (the Kirov region) in 2018–2020. The purpose of the current study was to identify sources stable on the trait ‘1000-grain weight’ for the breeding of hulled oats by estimating the adaptability parameters. The soil of the experimental plot was sod-podzolic, medium loamy, the meteorological conditions were contrasting in temperature and precipitation. In the favorable year of 2019, the 1000-grain weight was the highest (34.6–45.9 g), the index of environmental conditions was positive (Ij = 1.6). In the unfavorable year of 2020, the 1000-grain weight was 31.3–41.8 g and the index of environmental conditions was negative (Ij = -1.5). There have been identified the adaptable sources (IEP = 1.08–1.00) ‘15330 KSI 590/05’ (Russia), ‘15388 Saltaret’ (Moldova), ‘15423 Prelekst’, ‘15426 Werva’ (Germany); the stable sources according to the relative stability of the trait (St2 = 0.99–0.91) ‘15280 55 h 2106’, ‘15331 CSI 2167/03’ (Russia), ‘15297 Geszti’ (Hungary), ‘15388 Saltaret’ (Moldova), ‘15428 Bohum’ (Poland), ‘15420 Leniak’ (Germany); the sources with a high level of intensity (I = 24.5 and 19.30%) – ‘15329 CSI 639/05’, ‘15330 CSI 590/05’ and homeostaticity (Hom = 25.28–11.96) ‘15280 55 h 2106’ (Russia), ‘15297 Geszti’ (Hungary), ‘15388 Saltaret’ (Moldova); the sources responsive to favorable growing conditions (Kp = 1.11–1.28) ‘15329 KSI 639/05’, ‘15330 KSI 590/05’, ‘15331 KSI 2167/03’ (Russia), ‘15414 Enostar’ (Germany); the most adaptive sources in terms of the sum of ranks ‘15330 CSI 590/05’ and ‘15329 CSI 639/05’ (Russia), ‘15388 Saltaret’ (Moldova), ‘15426 Werva, ‘15414 Enostar’ (Germany). There have been identified significant direct correlations between indicators of stability and homeostaticity (r = 0.96), intensity and coefficient of responsiveness (r = 0.73).

The results of the study of 12 varieties and promising lines of glumaceous oat in the competitive variety testing of the FASC of the North-East (Kirov region) in the period from 2018 to 2020 are presented. The purpose of the research is to assess the productivity, ecological plasticity and stability of the genotypes of glumaceous oat for feed and universal use in the conditions of the Volga-Vyatka region. The dependences of grain yield and dry matter harvesting on the state of agro-climatic resources (HTC), temperature and precipitation are established. The contrasting weather conditions during the years of research allowed to conduct the most complete assessment of the studied genotypes. The most favorable conditions for the formation of a high yield of green mass of oat were formed in 2020 (Ij=3.76), grain - in 2019 (Ij=1.35). The average degree of positive dependence of green mass yield on the height of oat plants was revealed (r=0.51). The variety of the high-intensity type of the universal direction Medved, promising lines of the mowing direction (178h13 and 245h14) are distinguished.

According to statistic evaluation of the manifestation of signs of the economic suitability of state sort resources of 2019 registration potatoes when growing it in different agro-climatic conditions, a significant advantage of influence of the forest-steppe conditions was determined. Compared to Polesia the increase of yield rose for 4.1 t/ha or 18 % (НІР05 = 2.18, Ffact= 12.65 > F05 = 4.22) and the amount of trade potato for 22.72 ha or 20 % (Ffact = 58.87). There is also a tendency to increase the number of starch from unit of area for – 17 % and the total consumer properties for – 8 %. However, there is a significant difference in the reduction of storability of products by 45 % and the lack of it’s resistance to macrosporiosis and late blight. It was proved that the yield of varieties for cultivation in the polesia zone by 25.7 % depended on the duration of the growing season (Ffact = 4.14 > F05 = 0.06). The relationship between yield and starch of potatoes in Polesia zone varieties was determined – 23.6 % and in forest-steppe – 17.3 % and starch collection, respectively, 33.6 % and 28.0 %. The dependence of storability of potato which grew in the polesia zone and in forest-steppe from the amount of starch for 15 % was mathematically proved (Ffact = 2.11 > F05 = 0.17) і 11.3 % (Ffact = 1.52 > F05 = 0.24); the dependence of storability on the duration of the growing season in the Forest-Steppe conditions was confirmed(Ffact = 0.66 > F05 = 0.43). In addition, the 12 % of tasting grade of the Forest-Steppe varieties depended on the starch content amount (Ffact = 1.65 > F05 = 0.22). According to the results of the regression analysis, mathematical models have been developed to predict yields, culinary and consumer properties, and the storability of new potato varieties under different growing conditions. The project of a conveyor for the consumption of fresh product in summer period with the involvement of varieties of early ripeness in the Forest-Steppe was presented: 80 days after planting – Sanibel, 90 days after planting – Medison, Paroli, 95 days after planting – Bazalia, Bernina, 100 days after planting – Donata, in the Polesia zone ‒ 80 days after planting – Sanibel, 90 days after planting – Paroli, 95 days after planting –Bazalia, 100 days after planting – Medison, Bernina, Donata. By distribution of varieties by predicted high content of phytonutrients there were bred varieties with red skin and creamy flesh – Bazalia and Sanibel, by high content with yellow flesh – Baltic Rosa and moderate content with white flesh – Oleksandrit, Fotynia, Ricarda. Introduction of new varieties with certain high adaptive potential of storability and content of bioactive compounds in potatoes will provide growth of potato production in the conditions of the northeast forest-steppe and increase its competitiveness in the domestic and foreign markets and will solve the problem of year-round consumption of fresh quality products.

Regional climate projections are necessary to assess possible changes in the exposure and risk to allow planning the adaptation strategies.

Projections of temperature and precipitation trends were developed using a consistent methodology and homogeneous datasets to address the needs of up-to-date climate change scenarios for Poland.

The Euro-Cordex results with the resolution of 0.11deg (about 12.5km) for RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 were downscaled based on various historical gridded datasets (EOBS, ERA5, UERRA and data from IMWM).

Ensemble analysis was undertaken to assess the projection uncertainty and ensemble mean were calculated for base parameters (daily average, minimum, and maximum temperature and daily precipitation sum) as well as for the number of climate indices.

We will present spatial and temporal variability of selected climate indices over Poland for subsequent decades. Increase of the annual average temperature is due to the rise in the number of hot days and the reduction of the number of frost days. All temperature indices are characterized by statistically significant trends, strongest for RCP8.5. The most pronounced changes in the frequency and amount of precipitation occur in the north-east of Poland. The total number of days with precipitation increases slightly. The increase in the annual rainfall is due to the increase in the number of days with extreme precipitation.

Results are presented via an interactive web portal. Further analysis includes the development of projection for solar radiation, wind speed, humidity and snow cover.

The Pados-Tundra massif is located in the western Kola Peninsula and included in the Notozero ultrabasic rock complex (Vinogradov, 1971). The intrusion occurs as a body of ca. 13 km2 stretched out to the north-east. Enclosing rocks are Archaean granite- and granodiorite-gneisses. There are three major areas in the massif structure (Mamontov, Dokuchaeva, 2005): endocontact area, rhythmically layered series, and upper area. The endocontact area with thickness of 10-20 m occurs as schistose amphibole rocks formed during the metamorphism of main rocks. The rhythmically layered series occurs as a number of rocks from dunites to orthopyroxenites and composes most of the massif. There are 7 rhythms in total, each of which starts with dunites and ends with orthopyroxenites. Dykes of mezo- and leucocratic gabbro, diorites, and hornblendites are developed in the series rocks. The upper gabbronorite area can be partially observed in the north-eastern massif. Presumably, its major volume has been overlapped by enclosing rocks as a result of the overthrust. In the massif, there are 4 horizons of disseminated stratiform chromite ores, which are confined to dunites and serpentinites, as well as to a number of lens- and column-like bodies (podiform type) of chromite ores (Mamontov, Dokuchaeva, 2005; Barkov et al., 2017). Previous isotope-geochronological studies have determined the massif rock age of 2.15 Ga (Shapkin et al., 2008). However, further geological field observations and analysis of the obtained data assume that the intrusive is much older.

New Sm-Nd geochronological data indicate that the massif rocks and its rhythmically layered series are of Paleoproterozoic age, which is similar to the age of the Cu-Ni-Co-Cr-PGE ore-magmatic system of the Fennoscandian Shield (Amelin et al., 1995; Bayanova et al., 2014, 2017, 2019; Hanski et al., 2001; Huhma et al., 1990, 1996; Layered intrusions ...; 2004; Maier, Hanski, 2017; Mitrofanov et al., 2019; Peltonen, Brugmann, 2006; Puchtel et al., 2001; Serov, 2008; Serov et al., 2014; Sharkov, 2006; Sharkov, Smolkin, 1997). Complex Sm-Nd and U-Pb isotope-geochronological studies have allowed determining the major formation and alteration stages of the Pados-Tundra complex rocks:

– formation of the rhythmically layered series rocks of the intrusive 2485±77 Ma, harzburgites of the layered series – 2475±38 Ma;

– metamorphism of the massif rocks at the turn of 1.95 - 1.9 Ga;

– postmetamorphic cooling of the complex rocks tо 650°-600°С at the turn of 1872±76 Ma (Sm-Nd for metamorphic minerals) and then to 450°-400°С (U-Pb for rutile, 1804±10 Ma).

Therefore, the study results expand geography the East-Scandinavian large Palaeoproterozoic igneous province and are prospective for further study of analogous ultramafite-mafite complexes.

All investigations and were supported by the RFBR 18-05-70082, 18-35-00246, Presidium RAS Program #48 and are in frame of the Theme of Scientific Research 0226-2019-0053.

Do you accurately measure and report the growing conditions of your controlled environment experiments? Conditions in controlled environment plant growth rooms and chambers should be reported in detail. This is important to allow replication of experiments on plants, to compare results among facilities, and to avoid artefacts due to uncontrolled variables. The International Committee for Controlled Environment Guidelines, with representatives from the U.K. Controlled Environment Users' Group, the North American Committee on Controlled Environment Technology and Use (NCR-101), and Australasian Controlled Environment Working Group (ACEWG), has developed guidlines to report environmental conditions in controlled environment experiments. These guidelines include measurements of light, temperature, humidity, CO2, air speed, and fertility. A brochure with these guidelines and a sample paragraph on how to include this information in a manuscript will be available.

The article discusses the results of a four-year study (2016-2019) of breeding lines of spring soft wheat of the selection of Federal Agricultural Research Center of the North-East named N.V. Rudnitsky in the soil and climatic conditions of the central and southern parts of the Volga-Vyatka region. The promising lines C-65, C-103, H-154 were selected as they exceeded the regionalized standard variety Simbirtsit in average yields (3.41...3.56 t/ha; the increase is 0.04...0.19 t/ha), and in terms of potential yield (5.61…6.93 t / ha; the increase is 0.48...1.80 t/ha). According to the long-term average indicators of the crop structure, the selection lines П-57, P-63, С-65 and С-103 were attributed to the sources of valuable properties. Genotypes P-63, H-154 showed higher values and stability of gluten formation in grain relative to the variety Simbirtsit (22.8-24.1%; the increase to the standard is 3.1 - 4.4%). Using the variation coefficient, the degree of variability of economically useful traits (productive bushiness, plant height, ear length, number of grains per ear, grain weight per ear, 1000 grain mass, yield, gluten content in grain) was determined in different ecological environments. It has been established that the variability values of individual characteristics of productivity in one variety are not always consistent with each other and have genotypic conditionality. Yield stability can be closely related to the level of variation of individual elements of its structure. Genotypes that were more stable in yield indicated high variability of productive bushiness and low variability of plant height, grain weight per spike, and mass of 1000 grains. It has been shown that from practical point of view the most valuable genotypes were the ones with steadily high values of the spike length and the number of spike grains, as having a high adaptive response to cultivation conditions.Conflict of interest: the authors stated that there was no conflict of interest.

Migration of ethnic minorities in Central Highland region is a big concern of the policymakers as well as the social researchers. Based on the analysis of data from two Vietnam internal migration surveys taken in 2004 and 2015, the Central Highland had been a destination area for a majority of ethnic minorities’ rural-rural migrants. The study shows that the size of voluntary migrants came to the Central Highland region is strongly decreasing over the last five years. In contrast, there appeared an increasing group of voluntary migrants come out from the Central Highland to other regions, especially the North-East, looking for a job, income-earning for their households. The number of rural-urban migrants is increasing while the number of rural-rural migrants is decreasing among the ethnic minorities’ migrants. The share of temporary migrants is becoming dominant over the permanent ones in both in- and out-migration in the Central Highland region. The main purpose of the movement is seeking a job, income earning. By analyzing the existing data sets, it shows a significant impact of migrants’ education on their decision of movement. The study results may contribute to estimate the migration trend and serve as evidence for the ethnic minorities’ policymaking on the period from now to 2030.

AbstractEuthynnus (family Scombridae) is a genus of marine pelagic fish species with a worldwide distribution that comprises three allopatric species: E. alletteratus, E. affinis and E. lineatus. All of them targeted by artisanal and commercial fisheries. We analyzed 263 individuals from Atlantic and Pacific Oceans using two genetic markers, the mtDNA Control Region (350 bp) and nuclear calmodulin (341 bp). The results obtained challenge the phylogeny of this group. We found a deep genetic divergence, probably at species level, within E. alletteratus, between the North Atlantic-Mediterranean and the Tropical East Atlantic. This deep genetic divergence was tested with several species delimitation methods. This complete phylogeographic association between the North Atlantic and the Tropical East Atlantic support the hypothesis of two cryptic species. In addition, population genetic heterogeneity was detected between the North East Atlantic–Mediterranean and North West Atlantic regions. Our results indicate two scales of differentiation in what is currently considered a single population. Accordingly, for management purposes, the populations of E. alletteratus, should be divided into a minimum of three management units. On the other hand, the high level of differentiation found in E. alletteratus contrasts with the shallow genetic divergence of E. affinis and E. lineatus.

Innovations in library services and need for professional development among librarians with growth in research have brought to bear on the concept of embedded librarianship as a new research area in librarianship. It is expected that librarians in Nigeria must do all to move with the current trend in the discipline. This study aims to under the roles of awareness, attitude and perception of academic librarians in North-east Nigeria towards embedded librarianship practice. A survey of 11 university libraries in the region was undertaken with 356 conveniently selected samples. The descriptive result indicates a high level of awareness while attitude and perception recorded significant agreement to answer the research questions. The null hypothesis of non-significant effect of awareness, perception and attitude on embedded librarianship among academic librarians in university libraries in the north-east, Nigeria was rejected at F(3: 352) =2376.807, P<.0005, R2 =.953 and was replaced with the alternate hypothesis. The study concludes that academic librarians in the study area have a high awareness level, positive attitude and perception about embedded librarianship. However, the actual practice of the term is still low from the practical assessment.
