Wellness fitness uses a large arsenal tools of various sports and physical activity. The development of the fitness industry contributes to the expansion and requires classification and definition of methodological features that determine the use of appropriate means. Health-improving fitness classes require students to have knowledge of the fundamentals of the methodology for introducing the selected types of physical activity. This article summarizes the information about the content of selective focus health related aerobics using practical material for the development of basic physical qualities and motor skills of student youth. The purpose of the study is to analyze the content of health aerobics classes and the introduction of modern fitness programs and technologies related to the development of abilities to solve motor and sports problems in physical education of student youth. The study was performed at the theoretical and analytical level. In the process of research we used the following methods: analysis of literature sources, methods of theoretical interpretation (analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, generalization). Conclusions. In turn, regular aerobics and rhythmic gymnastics in combination with other types of wellness fitness have a health-improving and training effect on the body. The variety of fitness programs does not mean the arbitrariness of their construction - the used of different types of physical activity must comply with the basic principles of physical education. Experts in the experiment to determine the effectiveness of aerobics concluded that as a result of classes students have improved metabolism, normalized cardiovascular and respiratory systems, increased immunity to various diseases and help lift the mood.

In the spring of 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic, teaching of physical education at Eötvös Loránd University continued in the virtual space. Physical education teachers conducted an online training program weekly for students. It was a significant challenge for teachers to change the curricula overnight to support students’ physical activity needs and to motivate them as required. In our study we examined the effectiveness of the 7-week online physical education program based on feedback from 264 non- athletically competitive university students. This virtual experience provided instructive results, which support the introduction of blended physical education in higher education.

Abstract Introduction. Nutritional habits as well as views on food and nutrition are determined by a number of factors regarding an individual, social group, or population. The aim of the study was to determine differences in nutritional habits and knowledge about food and nutrition in physical education (PE) students depending on their level of higher education and physical activity. Material and methods. The study included 207 first-year and last-year students of physical education from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport in Biala Podlaska. The eating habits of the study participants and their knowledge about food and nutrition were evaluated using a questionnaire developed by Gawęcki, while physical activity was assessed with the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ - short version). Statistical significance of differences between groups distinguished on the basis of the students’ level of higher education and physical activity was analysed with Student’s t-test or the χ2 test. Results and conclusions. Regardless of the level of higher education and physical activity, the students examined most often demonstrated low intensity of nutritional behaviours that were either beneficial or detrimental to health, which means that they did not choose products with a potentially beneficial influence on their health very often, but, at the same time, they limited their consumption of unhealthy products. However, the comparison of students in terms of their level of education revealed that last-year students consumed poultry, fruit, and vegetables more often, whereas first-year students consumed white bread, butter, cold meat, cheese, and sweets more frequently. Women with a high level of physical activity consumed healthy foods more often, while men exhibited such a tendency in the case of dairy products only. Most students demonstrated sufficient knowledge about food and nutrition, and it was noted that their university studies increased their level of knowledge in this area.

This study aimed to compare physical activity and fitness of physical education and sports teacher department students and investigate the relationship between physical parameters and academic success. Twenty-five (12 male and 12 female) students volunteered to participate in this study. Sportive background and higher education examination points, shuttle run test scores, and academic success pieces of information of students were taken from the personal folder with the permission of faculty administration. Body composition measured via bioelectric impedance method, shuttle run test performed. Self-admitted international physical activity questionary (long form) was performed. Sportive background and higher education examination points, physical activity levels, and academic success have founded similar within both sexes. However, aerobic capacity results decreased when compared to the entrance of the college with graduation in both male and female students. Also, there was a correlation between VO2max change percentage and academic success. Requirements of physical education and sports department cannot maintain until graduation. These results indicate that there is not an impact of physical tests to graduation quantities of the physical education teacher. However, the relationship between VO2max change percentage and academic success is important indicator that active playing sports and physical activity may be beneficial. To grow up better and more quantitative physical education teachers, future studies require to investigate current physical test which performed the entrance of physical education and sports teacher education and querying that do physical tests a good method to attain requested goals.

Background: We aimed to explore the effect of education levels on self-rated health and physical activity (PA) and to provide basic data for developing interventions based on physical education to improve the quality of life among Koreans. Methods: The 2019 Community Health Survey data were selected through primary and secondary phylogenetic extraction. The survey was conducted among Korean adults aged ≥19 years (n=229,099), in 2019, using an electronic questionnaire. The education levels were classified into eight groups: uneducated, Seodang/Hanhak (traditional Korean school), elementary school, middle school, high school, college (2 or 3 years), university (4 years), and post-graduate or higher. In this study, the effect of participants’ education levels on self-rated health levels and PA was investigated (the PA subdimensions were: the number of days of vigorous PA, moderate-intensity PA, walking, and flexibility exercises). Results: 1) Regarding self-rated health, significant differences according to education level were recorded (P<0.001), with higher education levels leading to higher averages. 2) Regarding PA, significant differences according to education level were revealed, and the number of days of vigorous PA, walking, and flexibility exercise (P<0.001) increased with higher education levels. Moreover, the university (4 years) group reported the highest average. However, the middle school group reported the highest average for the number of days of moderate-intensity PA (P<0.001), and the average number of days decreased as the education level increased after middle school. Conclusion: Education plays an important role in maintaining health, and practicing appropriate PA contributes to one’s quality of life.
