In Italy, most of the studies on immigrants’ associationism and participation have concentrated on the more formal andstructured aspects. Little research has been done on forms of immigrant self-organization not oriented towards the society in the country of adoption. Drawing on these considerations, this article analyzes the self-organization of Bangladeshi residents in the municipality of Venice considering both their infra-political and their politico-organizational mobilization, seeking relationships between these two spheres of action, identifying transnational bonds, and dynamics linked to the social and political context of their home country. At the same time, the study considers the influence of other factors, such as the social, political and economic context found in the country of immigration (at both national and local level), and also the personal variables that can influence people’s participation, such as gender, generation, social class, amount of time spent in the adopted country, legal status, formal education, human capital, attitudes and personal projects in general.

A student who is visually impaired was trained to evaluate his social behavior and to recruit feedback from his sighted peers, who were trained by him to provide the feedback. The self-recruitment of feedback improved the student's accuracy in evaluating social skills requiring visual cues. In addition, the peers extended their feedback to other aspects of the social environment than social behavior.

Aim: The aim of this study is to gain a deeper understanding of and more knowledge about the experience of transgender women in terms of identity and self-understanding. Method: Data are collected from six Norwegian adult transgender women who have told their life stories. A narrative analysis is used to analyse the stories of the participants. The narrative focus is on themes relating to identity, self-understanding and belonging. Results: The results of the study show that the participants exclusively have a female identity and sense of belonging. Despite this, two of the participants prefer to live as males out of consideration for those in their surroundings. The self-understanding of the informants is expressed in different ways, depending on personality and life experience. Conclusion: Whether or not one has ‘come out of the closet’ seems to be important for both identity and self-understanding. The participants who are open about their identity seem more secure than those who are not. The more acceptance and recognition they get from the social environment, the more it appears that the women in this study dare to be who they are.

---Abstract The study found that the self-existence is not an innate, but it is constructed from the personal consciousness influenced by the social environment. A major conclusion of this research while also proving that a literary work is not an autonomous cultural objects that stand alone, but rather a portrayal of a long dialectic with many elements of life and science. For example, cultures, religions, and social life, which allow the occurrence of similarities between a country's literature with literary works in other countries.DOI : 10.5281/zenodo.556800

The article presents the results of theoretical analysis of scientific approaches to the self-efficacy problem study of the individual in general and the social services specialist, in particular. The research stated the ambiguity of the interpretation of the concept of “self-efficacy” and, at the same time, the role of self-efficacy in successful professional activity. We identified the main approaches to the study of the self-efficacy problem study of the individual and related concepts, which are: socio-cognitive psychoanalytic behavioural; personal and activity; humanistic; subjective; effective; competence; resource, acmeological approach, etc. We proposed the acmeological approach as a basis in the context of the study of the self-efficacy problems, and its development, within which self-efficacy should be considered as an essential factor in achieving professional social specialists’ “acme”. It is shown that self-efficacy should be studied because of the possibility of its development in specially organized psychological training and socio-psychological support of specialists’ self-efficacy, their beliefs, belief in their ability to implement activities, evaluation of their effectiveness and expectations for self-realization, and professional activity.

Self-presentation is a social influence tactic in which people engage in communicative efforts to influence the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of others as related to the self-presenter. Despite theoretical arguments that such efforts comprise an automatic component, the majority of research continues to characterize self-presentation as primarily involving controlled and strategic efforts. This focus is theoretically challenging and empirically problematic; it fosters an exclusionary perspective, leading to a scarcity of research concerning automatic self-presentations. With the current chapter, we examine whether self-presentation involves an automatic cognitive mechanism in which such efforts spontaneously emerge, nonconsciously triggered by cues in the social environment.

In article conceptual basics of application of system approach to process of formation of social and legal competence of future social workers in the conditions of university education are covered. Concepts «system» and «system approach» in the context of training of students for professional activity in the sphere of social work and, in particular, acquisition of social and legal competence by them as complex and personal education are analyzed. Feature of system approach consists that it opens integrity of system; allows to define the mechanisms providing integrity of system; promotes identification of communications between components and their coherences. Definition and the analysis of conceptual bases of system approach allow to develop qualitative model of system of formation of social and legal competence. In article relevance and need of system consideration of this process through the analysis of the main contradictions is proved. The structure of system of formation of social and legal competence by means of allocation of its components (target, substantial, procedural, object – subject, the social environment) and definitions of their communications is shown. It is indicated the need of system consideration of separate social and legal competences, and the accounting of integrative nature of their formation. Importance of inclusion of students in the professional directed activity providing transfer of the acquired social and legal competences in the practical plane is noted. The specified conceptual provisions of use of system approach make a scientific-theoretical basis for creation of pedagogical system of formation of social and legal competence of future social workers in the conditions of university education.
