The aim of this paper is to highlight the essence and features of the skill of the host of the event project, as well as to clarify the concept of “image” as a component in creating an individual image of the host in order to succeed in career growth, communication with the audience. Topicality. With the development of the creative industry and the expansion of various forms and types of art projects and shows, there is a growing need for professional presenters who must have brilliant skills of communication with the audience and improvisation, behavior, personal image improvement. Therefore, the skill of the presenter constantly needs to improve and master new opportunities, both personal and professional. It is here that you can see the relevance of this research topic. Research methodology The purpose and objectives of this study determine a comprehensive approach to the choice of research methods. The main ones are: observation, which helped to analyze the moral and ethical aspects of the image of the host of events; comparison of requirements for professional leaders of other categories. The historical method is used to analyze phenomena in the process of their occurrence and in the dynamics of the development of the art of entertaining. A systematic approach to the study made it possible to comprehensively consider the phenomenon of leading events. Results. Several categories of presenters are considered, which differ from each other in style and genre of work, personality of the image and the audience to which the presenter’s attention is directly directed. The work of the entertainer as the main chain in the concert program is analyzed. It is determined that not only personal characteristics are needed for the formation of components, namely: image — external: hairstyle, appearance, clothing, cosmetics, etc., internal: character, attitude to work, attitude to the professional level, etc. It is proved that the conference is divided into five parts, namely: introduction, business news, interludes, the host’s own number and the end of the conference and concert. It was found that a specific feature of the host’s work is the ability to conduct interesting and dynamic competitions-games with the audience. It is noted that high-quality event management depends on good work and skill of the presenter, because the working conditions and performance of tasks, sometimes leads to an integral part of the competence. Novelty. The scientific novelty of the research is the expansion of ideas about the specifics of the work of a presenter in the field of modern performing arts. The analysis of the development of the art of the presenter, its structure, categories and characteristics gives the chance to understand features of a profession of the presenter in a modern society, and also to define prospects of its development. Practical content. Prospects for further research in the field of studying and forecasting trends in the event industry, laying the foundations for further theoretical research in the field of mass forms of dramatic art on the example of modern art practices.

Ultrafine crystallization of industrial pure titanium allowed for higher tensile strength, corrosion resistance, and thermal stability and is therefore widely used in medical instrumentation, aerospace, and passenger vehicle manufacturing. However, the ultrafine crystallizing batch preparation of tubular industrial pure titanium is limited by the development of the spinning process and has remained at the theoretical research stage. In this article, the tubular TA2 industrial pure titanium was taken as the research object, and the ultrafine crystal forming process based on “5-pass strong spin-heat treatment-3 pass-spreading-heat treatment” was proposed. Based on the spinning process test, the ultimate thinning rate of the method is explored and the evolution of the surface microstructure was analyzed by metallographic microscope. The research suggests that the multi-pass, medium–small, and thinning amount of spinning causes the grain structure to be elongated in the axial and tangential directions, and then refined, and the axial fiber uniformity is improved. The research results have certain scientific significance for reducing the consumption of high-performance metals improving material utilization and performance, which also promote the development of ultrafine-grain metals’ preparation technology.

Katie Mitchell has been directing opera since 1996, when she debuted on the operatic stage with Mozart and Da Ponte’s Don Giovanni at the Welsh National Opera. Since then, she has directed more than twenty-nine operas in major opera houses around the world. Mitchell here speaks of her directorial approach when working with the genre, addressing various aspects of interest for those who want a better grasp of the dynamics of opera-making in the twenty-first century. Ranging from the director’s imprint, or signature on the work they put on the stage, to the relationships forged with people running opera institutions, Mitchell reflects on her experiences when staging opera productions. She sheds light on some fundamental differences between theatre-making and opera production, including the issue of text – the libretto, the dramatic text, and the musical score – and the very basic fact that in opera a director is working with singers, that is, with musicians whose attitude and behaviour on stage is necessarily different from that of actors in the theatre. Running throughout the conversation is Mitchell’s commitment to ensure that young and contemporary audiences do not see opera as a museum artefact but as a living performative experience that resonates with the aesthetics and political imperatives of our contemporary world. She speaks of the uncompromising political imperatives that remain central to her work ethic, even if this means deserting a project before it starts, and reflects on her long-term working relations with opera institutions that are open to new and alternative approaches to opera-making strategies. Mitchell underlines her respect for the specific rules of an art form that, because of its collaborative nature, must allow more space for theatre-makers to venture within its complex performative paths if it wants to secure a place in the future. Mario Frendo is Senior Lecturer of Theatre and Performance and Head of the Department of Theatre Studies at the School of Performing Arts, University of Malta, where he is the director of CaP, a research group focusing on the links between culture and performance.

In pantomime the Dame and comics, and to a lesser extent the immortals, are positioned between the world of the audience and the world of the story, interacting with both, forming a link between the two, and constantly altering the distance thus created between audience and performance. This position allows these characters to exist both within and without the story, to comment on the story, and reflexively to draw attention to the theatricality of the pantomime event. In this article, Millie Taylor concludes that reflexivity and framing allow the pantomime to represent itself as unique, original, anarchic, and fun, and that these devices are significant in the identification of British pantomime as distinct from other types of performance. Millie Taylor worked for many years as a freelance musical director in repertory and commercial theatre and in pantomime. She is now Senior Lecturer in Performing Arts and Music Theatre at the University of Winchester. An earlier version of this article was presented at the Conference on Arts and Humanities in Hawaii (2005), and an extended version will appear in her forthcoming book on British pantomime. Her research has received financial support from the British Academy.

The article considers the need for a broad view on the technologization of career guidance practices, the importance of which is increasing due to the spread of early professionalization in modern society. The purpose of the article is to identify and substantiate the semantic foundations for the technologization of vocational guidance practices, determined taking into account the process of forming a personal-professional position in the conditions of early professionalization. Research methodology: systemic personality-developing, subjective and technological approaches; methods of theoretical research (analysis, synthesis, generalization, analogy, interpretation, concretization). Attention is drawn to the essential features of personal-professional positioning, the focus is on the attitude to work, profession, personal and professional self-determination. Semantic supports for the design of vocational guidance technologies are identified and justified: the differentiating basis of the stage of life activity; immersion in accessible roles in the field of professional and labor activity and the formation of a value attitude to them; attention to work, the pattern of work of any profession, the formed attitude to work as a value; professional and labor traditions of the family, related features of family identity and family socio-professional trajectory; definition and implementation of personal and professional prospects; preservation and strengthening of personal-professional position.

The results of the theoretical research and the computer simulation, aimed at increase in accuracy of robotic milling, are presented in the article. An analysis of the mathematical models of the system «technological robot – milling process» is conducted. The prospects of the usage of precision geared dual motor servo drives and trajectory-impedance control systems are underlined. A computer research of the tool movement accuracy during the robotic cylindrical up-milling process, depending on path velocity of the milling cutter and rated value of the cutting depth, has been carried out. Two types of manipulators have been considered: a manipulator with traditional geared servo drives with one motor and a manipulator with the suggested precision dual motor drives. In order to measure accuracy of movements during the computer simulation process a deviation of the tool, normal to the desired trajectory of its movement, has been defined. The results testify the facts that dual motor servo drives allow us to significantly increase dynamic stiffness of technological robots and they promote increasing accuracy and performance of robotic milling.

Abstract Peking opera epitomizes the traditional Chinese performing arts, and all six factors concerning the story and performance of Peking opera, namely plot, role type, song, speech, acting, and combat, can produce humorous effects among the audience. The present paper is a tentative study on humor and sensing humor in Peking opera. The scale study testified that all six factors were able to produce humorous effects and that they had different degrees of comprehension difficulty and humor for different contributing factors. The degree of comprehension difficulty can assert negative influence upon the degree of humor. Different from the traditionally held nonmonotonic (inverted-U) correlation between the two, a monotonic inverse proportion between the two has been detected. The interview analyses revealed that the humorous effects had something to do with incongruity but that resolution might not necessarily be involved. The scale study and the interview analysis both support this finding.

ABSTRACT: “Ateng Japar: The Legend of Longser Performing Arts and His Roles in Bandung Regency, 1975 - 2002”. This study aims to explain the role of an artist named Ateng Japar in developing the performing arts of Longser in Bandung regency, West Java, Indonesia, in the period of 1975-2002. The main issue discussed is the development of Longser performing arts organized by Ateng Japar from 1975-2002. The method used in this research is the historical method. The results showed that Longser is the art of theater folks who live in the Priangan region, especially in Bandung regency. Longser, often referred to as a theatrical art, displays many folk dances in pairs and provide an opportunity for the audience to dance along with the dancers. In 1939, Ateng Japar established a Longser group named “Pancawarna” (five colours). Initially, this group performed by singing, but by the 1970s, there was a shift in the venue into an art gallery. In 2002, the artist Ateng Japar passed away, and his death negatively affected the development of Longser. Besides, the influence of globalization followed by a change of more advanced and modern age, eventually, makes the performing arts of Longser, although still survives today, less appreciated by the wider community. The existence of Longser is threatened when most people, especially the younger generations, do not know about the Longser.

KEY WORD: Longser, people theater, Ateng Japar, change of time, and influence of globalization.

About the Author: Apriliani Hardiyanti Hariyono, S.Pd. adalah Alumni Departemen Pendidikan Sejarah FPIPS UPI (Fakultas Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia), Jalan Dr. Setiabudhi No.229 Bandung 40154, Jawa Barat, Indonesia.
